Chloe giggled at Skyler rambling, she stopped giggling when she heard her Skyler say that there was coffee at this place, she didn't want to get coffee, it would remind her to much of home and probable make her sick. She followed Skyler's directions and soon enought ,without realizing it, they were there. She turned off the car and slid out of her seat quickly running over to get Leah out of her seat, she didn't want to seem like a bad older sister. She picked Leah up and walked over to grab her cyan colored purse, throwing it over her shoulder. She looked down to see Caleb walking closely beside her, she smiled at him "Its very nice to meet you Caleb." She smiled and pushed open the cafe door, as soon as she did a wave of cool air and the smell of coffee hit her face. She looked around and spotted a good place to sit, it was a round table near large windows, she pulled out a chair for Leah and sat her down, she sat right next to Leah leaving two chairs for Skyler and Caleb to sit down at. Skyler sat down next to Chloe, Caleb looked a little upset over this. Chloe opened the menu, she already knew what she wanted though. She wanted a coffee but, she was kind of trying to eat healther and decided on a salad and water.

As they waited for a waiter to come to there table Chloe pulled out her phone to read Zack's message,"Chloe, I have something to tell you.." She rolled her eyes at this, Zack was always being super dramatic. It was probably nothing totally huge, usually when he did this it was about some stupid gossip that was never true. "What? This better not be something stupid Zack! She looked up from her phone. She started trying to make conversation, she looked over to Skyler "So...Are there any interesting people at our school? Are there a lot of cliques?" She stopped herself not wanting to seem like she talks way to much, which she never really does. Zack said that it was always akward when she opened her mouth cause no one ever expeces it coming, he also said thats what he loved most about her.

Chloe followed her instructions, and soon enough they were at the coffee shop. Chloe carried her younger sister Leah through the doors and looked down at Caleb, saying she was happy to meet him too. Skyler looked over at Caleb to see him smiling like a goofball. We entered the restaurant and found a nice wooden table near some open windows that gave us a cool breeze while we sat. Skyler loved this place because it had a homey feeling to it. She also knew the lady who owned the place. She was like a second mom to Skyler. Her name was Samantha. Her husband use to be a cook at this restaurant, but they got a divorce not too long ago because he tried to hit Sam! That turd! Now, Sam had extra work piled on top of her since her husband left. She was a strong women though, so she would be alright. Maybe she would let me get a job here...Skyler thought to herself. It would be a fun way to get some extra cash.

Samantha came to our table a few mintues later to take our orders. She looked lovely today with her long chesnut colored hair in a loose bun and a cute sundress that had sunflowers all over it. Chloe ordered a salad and water, and Caleb ordered a turkey sub with a coke. Hmm...what did she want? "What are your specials today, Sam?" Skyler asked her in a relaxed tone. "Today our special is our grilled burgers! I love em'." Samantha said, beeming. "I think I'll have that. I have been wanting a burger lately. Oh, and I'll have sweet tea with mine." Skyler said to Samantha as she picked up our menus. "It'll be done in a ffffeeeewww!" Sam singed, skipping away towards the kitchen, her flats clicking.

Skyler sat there, rocking her old wooden chair, feeling kind of awkward. She couldn't think of a good conversation starter at the moment. She looked towards Chloe to see her pull out her phone...Did I seem boring to Chloe, Skyler thought. Chloe was rolling her eyes and grinning as she looked down at the brightly lit screen. Then suddenly, Chloe looked up from her phone and met Skyler's eyes as she was staring at her. It caught Skyler off guard a little bit. Chloe asked if there were any interesting people at Serenity...she should have known a question like this was coming. Skyler wasn't very good at answering questions about school because she was sort of...an outcast. She didn't know why. Were people intimidated by her? Was it her height? Skyler was quite tall. Taller than a lot of the boys even. People would be suprised seeing her walking beside Chloe when they went back to school. "Yea...there are some interesting people there. I don't really know a lot of them well, because I don't talk to a lot of people at school. There are a lot of handsome guys, if you were wondering." Skyler smiled at Chloe, blushing a little.

A few mintues later, Sam was handing us all huge, colorful mugs filled with our beverages. Then, she carefully layed our meals in front of us. Skyler inhaled the smells of freshly baked breads, grilled meats, and green veggies. Her eyes widened looking at the huge, juicy grilled burger in front of her. She couldn't wait to sink her teeth into it, but she didn't want to seem like a pig and scarff it down like she would at home. So, she took tiny, refined bites of her buger and slowly sipped her tea.

Sophie fell out of her bed once again, and giving the world a big sigh and crawled to her bathroom door. "Yesterday seemed fun..." She washed her face while thinking about yesterday it was quite an exciting day. Hanging out with karston and meeting josh up at the beach. But, she couldn't remember much. Rumaging through her closet she thought of what to wear. "Well.. hm... " She smiled and pulled out a White dress and sandals. She put her hair down with her bangs to the right. "Mmmm. I smell pancakes!" Sophie kissed her mom on the cheek and sat at the table grabbing some whipcream for her pancakes. "Good morning sophie. I gotta leave soon, and your brothers are gunna wake up. So, Oh and Jeff already left so. Yes. Gotta go. Her mother went over to sophie and kissed her. Sophie who had her mouth full of chocolate chip pancakes nodded her head and continued to chew.

Leaving the house she jumped in her car, and put down the windows. One arm out the window she played her currently favorite song "Love Game By: Lady Gaga". Seeing that it was only about 6:45 she headed to her first class. Math. How she treaded math and it's boringness she sat on the bench with her back leaning against the wall she sat there doing her homework waiting for someone to come by.

Ari, dear…” a soft voice said gently waking her up. “Hmm?” she answered as she sat up and stretched she saw a displeased face that belonged to her mother. Looking away from her she noticed she had fallen asleep at her desk yet again. No wonder why she felt a little stiff. Yawning and stretching once more she looked back to her mother. “I thought that I told you…” Standing up she headed to her closet to pick out some clothes. Her mother was yapping about falling asleep at her desk yet again. She was supposed to fall asleep on the bed.

Yeah, I know, I’m sorry.” She said pulling out a pair of jeans that had been doodled all over with drawings of hers. On this pair of jeans it was all sorts of animals she encountered over all the years her family had traveled. There were tigers, snakes, elephants, bears, dolphins, birds of all sorts… it was just a collage of animals. She grabbed a blank long sleeve shirt for an undershirt and put a short sleeve simple white shirt that had paint splatters of all colors of you could imagine everywhere to put over it. Placing her clothes on her bed she looked back to her mother who still had a disapproving look. “I worry about you, you know?” Sighing she just nodded and hinted that it was time for her mother to leave so she could get ready.

She was glad when her mother was finally out of her room. Man, she had fallen asleep at her desk yet again. She had been wrapped up on her new work of art she hadn’t noticed all the time go by. It probably had to partly do with the fact she had grown up sleeping very little and also in the most uncomfortable places. She slept in trees, on the ground, all over in all sort of conditions. So, if she was tired she generally just fell asleep right there. And lately found herself more tired, maybe it was the stress and pressure her parents kept putting on her. She really didn’t like the idea that her parents decided to settle down now that she was teenager and then expect her to be all social and everything. She knew that they had “secretly” bought her a homecoming dress. She had no clue what it looked like but she had overheard her mother talk about it. She figured she was going to force her to go to homecoming even if she didn’t find someone to go with.

Shaking her head she went and took a shower before changing, grabbing her bag and sketchbook, and then heading downstairs for some breakfast. Seeing the time on the clock she frowned. Her mother had woken up her up earlier than she needed to get ready and walk to school. Her mother probably wanted her to try and find someone to socialize with or maybe actually have time to eat the breakfast she made her. Whatever the reason she wasn’t thrilled. Plopping herself at the kitchen table she nibbled at the eggs and toast on her plate. Soon enough she finished and went in the fridge grabbed the lunch she had prepared the night before and headed out the door before her mother could say anything.

Arianna knew she would be early to school but she figured she could just work on her drawing. As she walked to the school she hummed to herself wondering where the days had flown to. It seemed that time had just flown by homecoming was only in two days. It was odd to think about such a thing before she only thought about all of the animals her parents were studying at the moment. Whoever had gotten her parents to think it was a great idea to stop all of travelling and studying and just settle down and write books was someone she greatly hated. Shoving those thoughts away she just kept walking to school humming to keep her thoughts from wandering.

User ImageLoud beeping woke Chris up suddenly. He still wasn’t used to waking up this early. His “advisor” was at it again. She for some reason thought he needed to get up really early to get ready when it took him less than a half an hour to get ready and get to school if he was actually moving. He was far from a morning person so as his advisor walked into his room with a bright smile he couldn’t help be angry. “Seriously, just what is wrong with you?” he said annoyance obvious in his tone. “Nothing, I’m just doing what is best for you.” Glaring at her he shooed her out, not wanting to deal with anymore of her stupid answers, and started getting ready for school.

His parents truly must have been insane. Just why did he need an advisor? It was eighteen he could take care of himself. He had been able to for quite some time seeing that his parents were rarely ever home. He figured they just wanted someone to make sure he wasn’t getting in trouble and doing what they wanted. They wanted to make sure he didn’t stray he figured. Nevertheless it was very annoying. Their shadows were so big and so hard to escape it drove him nuts. Both being two very successful CEO’s of a huge and important company they had so much money and power they could get away with things most wouldn’t. And they wanted to make sure their son would follow in their footsteps. They wanted an heir which is probably the only reason they actually had a child.

It was because of who they were that were able to pull him out of school for a few days to “help with business”. They just wanted him to go to some big dinners and banquets to make valuable connections, that and they wanted to show him off. He felt like a puppet and they were just yanking on his strings making him do whatever they pleased. But now he was back and now he had to go back to school. He didn’t have to worry about homework or anything his parents had taken care of that. It was nice in some sense but he rather have not had to deal with such boring people. Seriously all they did was brag and try to outshine everyone around them.

Once downstairs he had to listen to his advisor tips for the day. He figured she loved annoying him, she got paid to just keep an eye on him, she probably got paid more than people with college degrees working full time or even over time. But at least she didn’t have a lot of power. She could just advise, though she could easily report back to his parents and they’d pull at his strings again. Honestly he wished he was someone else but there was no way he could that sadly. Finishing his bowl of cereal he grabbed his backpack slung over his shoulder and left as soon as she stopped talking for a moment. Not that he liked going to school since he was surrounded by people that were his “friends” because of who he was. It was rare for people not to know who his parents were. But it also was something else he couldn’t control.

He didn’t care that he was going to early to school and since he knew he would be he didn’t drive today he decided to walk hoping today wouldn’t be that bad.

I'm like Cinderella... so where's my fairy godmother?

It was quiet, or she considered it quiet. No one was yelling at her to do something or that she had done something wrong. There was enough noise in the kitchen though. She was busy preparing breakfast for her family which consisted of two sisters, her mother, and father. Even though she was actually a member of their family by blood she didn’t feel like it. She was the maid and constantly was treated like dirt. It all had to do with what happened on the day she was born. They held a grudge against her for something she had no control over. She honestly couldn’t remember a time that she wasn’t running around doing something for them even when she was little she was their maid causing her to have to grow up real quick. And despite all the crap all she wanted was to please them, or really just get a thank you. She wouldn’t mind doing all she had to if they would actually thank her and mean it.

She had been up already for a while cleaning up the house. She could swear her sisters, Maria and Lydia, went out of their way to make it messy so she would always have something to do. She barely had time to herself with school, homework, and all she had to do at home. Though she had been working on a dress just in case by some bizarre chance she got asked to homecoming, she’d find a way to get there if she did get asked. But she doubted that would happen. Still she figured she should be prepared just in case.

Soon enough she could hear movement, her sisters were quite loud people it would be hard not to notice them. At least she was almost done with their breakfast. She had set the table before so now she just needed to bring out the food which soon enough she was doing. She had made eggs, French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon… basically everything since they had to have everything. Plus they ate a lot for twigs, it really was disgusting how much they ate. But she wouldn’t dwell on it she just went back to the kitchen to clean up before they started complaining about stupid things like the eggs not being salty enough.

And there it was. “EMILIA!” Lydia yelled probably waking up her mother in the process which wouldn’t be a good thing. Quickly walking to the dining room she looked to try and see what the problem was but didn’t see any. “Yes?” She always had to be careful with what she said. If she got snappy bad things could happen. One time it caused her sisters to throw their plates full of food at her. That wasn’t fun at all. “These pancakes aren’t buttered.” She stood there for a moment trying to carefully select her words for even though she had heard stupider things from them before she always was slightly dumbfounded by their complaints. “The butter is right there… or do you want me to butter it?” She felt their stares and was worried that she had said something that would upset them. “No, I’ll do it!” That was surprising but she just nodded and asked “Need anything else?” They just shook their heads so she went back to cleaning up.

The morning was surprising uneventful they hadn’t woken up their mother which was a good thing so after cleaning up after her sisters were done she quick ate a bowl of cereal and grabbed her lunch and bag before heading to school herself hoping she wouldn’t have a lot to do when she got back home.

Josh stretched and rolled over on his bed, only to fall to the floor. How many times in a week could he do that? He looked at his clock and frowned. Six in the stinkin' morning...He had plenty of time to get ready. Still half asleep he sat by the bed for a while before stumbling over to the bathroom. His alarm/radio went off half an hour later after his shower. Nobody knew it, but he liked to dance. But little things like that were stuff that he'd be more than happy to keep to himself.

He walked into his closet and pulled out some dark faded jeans, a black t-shirt and a blue dress shirt. Fashion wasn't his thing but he knew when not to wear ridiculous looking clothes. The boy went back to his bathroom after getting dressed to fix up his hair. Lately it hadn't looked like it needed much fixing, just a quick brush and he was set. He pressed the off button for the radio on his way out. "I'm up! No nee-" he had started to call down the stairs. His parents had made it a habit to come and literally pull him out of the bed it he wasn't ready by the time his alarm went off. But his parents weren't here. The thought had made him a little sad. Another thing he wouldn't be willing to admit was that he missed his parents.

With a nonchalant shrug to nobody jumped down the stairs, freezing in his spot as he walked into the kitchen. There was breakfast on the island and a lunch packed up along with a note. Instantly, Josh picked up the note and smiled. Good old Jezabell had thought of everything once again. It was like kinder garden all over again! He ate the eggs and french toast that had been left for him and went back up to brush his teeth.

On his way out of the house, he slung his bag over his shoulder, one hand holding his lunch, and opened the door to his car. After throwing everything to the passenger seat he sped down the street and reached the school. There was plenty of time left, according to him, since it had only taken about forty five minutes to get set. Josh didn't want to face the inner walls of the school just yet, so he sat on the front steps of the school and waited for the warning bell to ring. Yesterday had certainly been....different.

You can paint with all the colours of the wind

-----------[[The day before~]]-----------

Roze smiled and let go of the tree branch to clap her hands together. "Wonderful! Music it'll be!" she cried out happily. All those years of cello lessons had made her fall in love with the instrument. There was a feeling of power that she got when she slid the bow over the strings. Something magical that she wouldn't be able to explain in words, only sounds. She even had one she liked to practice with at home in her room! "Thanks for the help stranger!" Roze jumped off the tree branch and landed safely a couple feet next to him. Her phone had slipped out of her pocket during the jump. Without wanting to she turned it back on and bit back a cry of rage. Her freakin' Inbox and Voicemail were full! This just meant there'd be hell to pay when she got home. Roze sighed in frustration and started walking away. She stopped. How rude of her to just leave. "I'm Roze by the way! See you around stranger!" she called and waved back before sprinting off home.

----------[[Actual Day]]----------

She was up before anybody else in the house. While she had been dressing and preparing breakfast, not once had she stopped grinning. They hadn't grounded her! Her parents had let her off the hook, and what was better yet....her grandmother was staying! This was one of the rare occasions where she could say she truly loved her grandmother. All through out her life she had resented the old woman for making dad act they way he acted, but now she had changed and wanted to make sure he changed as well.

The rest of the family came down the stairs, all dressed and dolled up. Like it had always been. Even her now more lenient grandma was dressed, not in the usual 'proper lady clothes' but dressed. Roze served the food and got her bag and shoes from her room. "Leaving for school! Love you guys!" she called back. A chorus of 'uh-huh', 'we love you too', and 'take care' came back to her as she closed the door behind her.

A perfect day this was going to be....and nothing seemed to bring her down. She took the usual route to the school, jumping over fences and crossing open yards. Suddenly she was starting to feel queasy. 'Note to self....don't ever run after breakfast!' she thought. Roze stopped running and just walked the rest of the way. There was a tree in front of the school. But she wasn't going to be climbing it this time, the branches were too far up to reach. So she settled for sitting underneath it and pulling out a small red leather bound notebook. Her black gel pen doodled on the crisp, clean pages eagerly.

Avery woke to the sound of Lisa yelling her name, she looked at the clock on the wall and groaned. It was only six in the morning and yet she still had to go to school. Heading to the shower, she pnly stayed in for about ten minutes, not in the mood to stay any longer, she really wasnt in the mood to do anything. Last night was way too hectic for her taste and all she wanted was to stay at home and just read or something. "Lisa, i dont want to go to school" she said, putting on a blouse and jeans that Lisa had brought over. Looking in the mirror, Avery was tooken back by her own reflection, like she was looking at a completely different person. Avery wasnt use to wearing new clothing, just her old coat and hat. "Lisa did you buy these?" she asked, as she sat down at the table in the small kitchen. "Well of cours ei bought them, i didnt just snap my fingers" Lisa answered, putting a plate of food in front of Avery. Taking her fork, Avery poked at a piece of egg and chewed it slowly, she wasnt in a rush at all. "You didnt have to buy me anything" Avery said, wondering how much the clothing cost and how she was goign to pay her back. "Its quite alright child, now hurry and eat you need to go to school" Lisa said, giving her a serious look. Avery shoved the rest of her breakfast down her throat and went to brush her teeth.

Avery went back to her apartment and grabbed her small bag that contained all of her school work. "Homework, books, pencil" she thought, as she walked out of the small complex and headed down the stairs. Lisa waved from the top of the stairs and Avery waved back, running to go catch the bus. "Wait wait" she yelled, flagging down the bus, she wasnt going to wait for another one it would take too long. Sighing with relief when the bus stopped, she put in the amount of money needed and sat down on one of the small hard seats, they called chairs. "Ug..school" she muttered, placing her bag beside her. It took about thirty minutes before Avery finally got off the bus. Looking right then left, Avery crossed the street and headed onto the school grounds. Keeping her head down staring at the ground, Avery almost bumped into a pole. "Ow" she said, hitting her head a little. Looking up, she saw someone on the school steps, but she couldnt make out who it was. She countinued to walk and the closer she got the clearer the person bacame. "Josh" she thought blanky, "Josh" she perked up a little, realizing it was Josh. Quickening her pace a little she looked both ways and crossed the street again. She smiled a little, and felt all happy inside like a small child. "Hey there Josh" she said. Stopping in fron of him, she crouched down so she was at his level and smiled some more. "Your here early" she added, placing her bag beside her. Avery wanted to poke Josh's nose, it was something she did alot at the orphange, but she was grown up, well not really but poking someone's nose isnt the most mature thing to do. Instead Avery just sat there looking at Josh, wondering what time it was at the moment seeing that she didnt have a watch. It wasnt easy for Avery to keep track of time but it didnt really matter.

Kari's alarm buzzed at six a.m. sharp, pulling her out of a light sleep. She slapped the clock lazily, silencing it, before turning over to bury her face in the pillow. As she lay in bed, not wanting to get up, she recalled the day before. She'd met Kyle, who she'd grown rather fond of, and they'd jacked a cop car and gone for a bit of a joyride. They drove around town in it, and Kyle had been nice enough to show Kari some of the cool places both in town and on the outer edges. When they were finished, they'd returned the car to where they'd found it, and in perfect condition too, minus a few gallons of gas in the tank. No harm, no foul, Kari figured.

She sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, she stood up, heading into the bathroom for a warm shower. After she got out, she wrapped herself in a towel and headed back to her room where she dressed in jeans and a plain blue shirt. She pulled a pale blue sweater over the shirt, as it was growing considerably colder as October dragged on. Yawning, she returned to the bathroom to dry her hair, brushing it straight. Grabbing her backpack on the way, Kari headed downstairs, where she rummaged through the pantry before deciding on cereal for breakfast. She grabbed the milk and poured herself a bowl of cornflakes, eating them quickly so she'd have time to get to school and talk to people before the start of class.

Depositing the dished in the sink, Kari headed out the door, noting that her great uncle was still snoring away in his chair. She smiled to herself, and closed the door quietly behind her, beginning the walk to school.

Josh had slipped on some sun glasses and put some head phones in his ears. The music wasn't too loud, he didn't like it so loud if it was going to be blasting in his ears. When he heard her voice he was glad he hadn't put it on so loud. He took the head phones off and put the sun glasses on top of his head. "Hey! he said with a bright smile. "Eh I woke up without meaning to so I decided to get an early start. Were you alright after I left last nigh?" Genuine worry had stopped him from getting to sleep early and probably was what made him wake up so early without even realizing it. For some reason he felt like he had to protect her....to help her when she needed it. And this was some stranger he had known nothing about until last night, but he felt that way. 'Why though...?' he thought.

"Wanna get some coffee? I'm dying from caffeine withdrawal! Haven't had my daily cup of chai for about.....eighteen hours? Yeah I think that sounds about right," he said, laughing a little. Maybe he was being over dramatic about this but he just loved his coffee! Josh kept smiling and put away his mp3. The breakfast had been filling and all but Jezabell never thought it was healthy for him to be drinking coffee...at any time of the day. The nerve of that woman! But he knew she had his best interest at hand. Josh lifted his hand very slowly and poked Avery in the cheek. His smile only spread wider. His parents hated when he did that. He couldn't help it though, it was just something he did.

Avery smiled and answered "Yes i was alright, i stayed with my neighbor Lisa" Actually Avery was perfectly fine after he left, sh eeven got a good night's sleep, she looked at Josh's face and could see dark circles under his eyes and thought "Did he get any sleep?" Avery felt bad, hoping it wasnt her that kept Josh from sleeping last night. It was nice to know that someone was worrying about you, but it wasnt good if someone didnt get any sleep, it could lead to serious injuries if you werent careful. She laughed a little at Josh's wanting coffee comment. She wasnt a coffee drinker, but it did sound good at the moment. "Sure coffee sounds good" she replied, grabbing for her bag. Avery's boss Rina, loved coffee and she had about two cups a day if not more. "Better than smoking i guess" she thought. What Avery was tooken back by was the sudden poke at the cheek, and she tohugh poking people's noses was bad enough. Lifting her hand, she took her finger and poked his nose. This only made Avery giggle, and it felt good to do that, she hadnt done it in a long time.

Getting up, she looked around and still nobody was around. She looked inside her bag and found a chocolate bar. "Lisa" she muttered, as she pulled out the candy. Avery wasnt sure if she should eat it now or wait til lunch, but her stomach was growling even though she had breakfast, but that was like thirty minutes ago. Opening the wrapped, she broke off a piece and handed some to Josh. "Want some?" she asked, sounding like a child. When Avery was in the orphange, she didnt know what sharing was, so whenever she had something and another child wanted it, she wouldnt give it up instead she ran to her room and locked the door until the ladies taking care of them finally got the door open. It took Avery a full year to fully understand what sharing was and that it was actually a good thing.
Avery had a map of directions going through her head, trying to figure out what way was better and faster to get to the nearest coffee shop or cafe. "Well we could go to that coffee shop on Young Ave, thats the cloest one i know" she said, thinking outloud. Taking a small bite of chocolate, Avery wrapped the rest up and put it back in her bag, hoping it wouldnt melt.
