Skyler seemed to be rapped up in her thoughts after repeating a bit of what she just said. "Yeah, I moved out of a small town kinda like this one. So, it wasn't a really big change when we moved." Chloe said with a smile, her long blonde hair blowing with the cool breeze, it had gotten a little bit darker outside, but it still looked rather early to be out and about. She shevered as each cold breeze went by, she chose a rather light shirt to be wear, she wasn't used to this cold weather. In her old town it was always warm, almost every girl would wear a bikini under there clothes and have super tan skin. She wasn't one of those girls, she didn't like to wear a bikini unless she was swimming and she was super pale compared to all the other girls.

Chloe's stomach growled at her again. She didn't care if it was health food, she liked eating healthy anyways. "Thats fine with me. Would you mind showing me the way, we could put your bike in our garage and I could drive us there." Chloe looked at the girl's aqua colored bike, it surpirsed Chloe to see it with no dust or any flaws, she must have rode it a lot, even though Chloe couldn't see way any one would want to travil by bike maybe that was just her.

As she was thinking a bit her phone vibrated she quickly pulled out her iphone, apoligizing to Skyler for just interrupting there convo. luckly it was just a text from her friend Zack. Hey, girl! How's life in the new town? I miss you. I wish we could go out shopping and then go to starrbucks, -sigh- those were the good days! She giggled a bit after reading the text, she could just see Zack saying this, with his hick tone voice. She slipped the phone back into her back jean pocket deciding to text back later. She paused for a moment, thinking maybe Skyler might have been getting tired from riding her bike for so long, "I need to get back home any ways, I'm not sure I have enough money." Chloe said remebering she only brought 5 dollers with her and thought that it would probably be more than 5 dollars.

Aww poo. Chloe wasn't from any extraordinary city like Skyler hoped for. Well it wasn't like she was going to whisk me away from this town on some magic carpet, Skyler thought to herself...guess that possibility is down the drain! "Um that's fine. And thanks for giving me a ride." She said to Chloe about her getting some more money for brunch, and giving her a lift in her car. As Chloe went inside her house to get some more moola, Skyler walked over towards Chloe's humongous garage and propped her bike besides the garage wall.

As Skyler walked back towards the street curb, whistling merrily, she looked up to see a red bike coming rapidly at her. As the person came into view, she could see that it was her 13 year old brother named Caleb. She could see his blonde hair flowing in the wind as he peddled, his big blue eyes wide. Then suddenly, he came up beside her, his tires screeching. "Me and mom were wondering where you were!" Caleb exclaimed, brushing his hair out of his eyes. His words trailed off as he turned his gaze towards Chloe's house. At first she thought he was looking at the house itself, cuz it was amazing and all. She should have known. He was looking at the girl coming out of the house. "Whatcha starin' at hmmm?" Skyler said, hitting him lightly with her backpack. "N-n-nothing." Caleb said looking down at his converse sneakers, his cheeks flushed. She couldn't help but giggle at his cute innocence.

Avery's heart pounded thinking this was it, everything would be ruined. The man had her pinned against the wall and she couldnt say anything. She heard a voice but she tohught it was her imagination and then when she saw the man fall to his knees, she curled up into a small ball and breathed deeply. Then she heard a voice again, it was a male's but she was so scared she didnt even know who it was. Looking up with her tear streaked face, she saw it was Josh and hugged him tightly, still crying. "Im sorry" the first thing that Avery was an apology, sure it might not have made sense to some people but in her mind she was thinking that if maybe she hadnt left to give the money to her boss that none of this would have happened. "Im ok" she said softly, shuddering at the thought she almost got...she didnt want to think about it anymore. Letting go of Josh she sat there, somewhart lost like a small child, it felt frightening to be in this world, wishing she was still back in the orphanage. Wiping her tears slowly, she didnt want to be alone but she was already keeping Josh from going to where ever he was going. Looking down on the floor she saw that her necklace had come off and she picked up, flipping it over to see if anything was broken, she looked at it closly like a curious child and noticed a name engraved on the back, or maybe two she couldnt tell. "I will look at it later" she thought. Looking back at Josh she smiled a little, even though there wasnt much to smile about. "You can leave Josh im sorry for keeping you from whatever" she said, grabbing her cell phone so she could dial 9-1-1 and they could take this nasty man away.


"This is 9-1-1 what is your accident?" a man asked. "hi my name is Avery Grace DeRouge and i was in my apartment when this man attacked me" she answered, wondering what other questions this man was going to ask, she had only done this once before, well it wasnt really her it was her boss when Avery almost set the coffee shop on fire. "Please tell us your location and is the man who attacked you still there?" Avery looked at Josh wondering if he should be invovled or just leave him otu so he could get to where he was going. "Its 34th Place, apartment number 5, and the man is unconcious." She could here something clicking on the other end, so he was probably typing all this information down. "One last question, was anyone else there?" Avery thought about it, and jjust said "Well a friend saved me but he already left" "thank you mam, will be there shortly" Avery shut the phone and looked at the mess, thinking she was probably going to have to buy a new door soon.

Jake nodded when she said she'd just started going to public school. Now that he thought of it, he remembered one of his teachers mentioning that they had a new student, but he paid so little attention in school today, he couldn't begin to guess which class it was. "I think we've got a class together, actually." He murmured, voicing part of his thoughts aloud for her to hear. "Can't remember which one..." He admitted with a chuckle, "But I'm pretty sure we share a class."

"It's nice to meet you," He replied when she gave a formal introduction of herself, going as far as to give him her middle name. Might as well have given her address and phone number as well, if she was going to go that far, but he decided against commenting on it. "I'm Jake Lamburo." He offered in return, giving her a half smile.

Whisper rubbed her hands together slowly as if she were cold. She got hungry every time she smelled the aroma of the pizza. She looked at the oven and then Jayden when he was sitting next to her. When he asked her about what she thought Whisper smiled. "Well...," she said chuckling. "Its nice and cozy but honestly I thought that it would have been smaller. I like it though." she said, smiling. Whisper looked at the curtains and shrugged her shoulders. "Its alright, there is enough light in here. As long as I can see, I'm fine."

Whisper looked down at her shoes when he said she should probably take them off. "Yeah, I probably should. I'll just take them off at the door while you change your shirt." Whisper got up while Jayden got up and walked over to the door. She slipped off her shoes and walked back over to the table. She sat down looking at the oven. She was getting really hungry.

When she got back to the table her phone rang. On the caller ID her mom's name was lighting up. Whisper wasn't sure whether to answer it. She stared at the phone and then Jayden's bedroom door. Whisper looked back at the phone and flipped it open. "Hell-" before she could finish her mom began screaming at her. "Okay, mom, calm down." she knew her mom was calling for her to come home. Whisper didn't want too come home she just wanted to stay here where the world felt like nothing around her. "Look mom I'm not coming home. I have stuff I like to do. No, I'm not going to homecoming with him! I'm not gonna come home either until he leaves and if he stays the whole night then I don't come home for the rest of the night!" Whisper screamed into the phone and then flipped it shut. She put it down on the table and put her head down. All the screaming that she did to her mom was never done before. Whisper just blew up for no reason but her mom was trying to set her up with some family friend that only spoke French. She didn't want to go to homecoming with him. She wanted her mom to feel what she was doing to her while she was growing up.

Josh lifted an eyebrow quizzically at Avery as she was making the phone call. He frowned slightly. There was no way he would be leaving her alone when the unconscious creep could wake up the minute he walked out of the room and attack her. His arms dropped away from her and he looked at the man. b*****d. His blood felt like it was going to boil and make him explode again. "You're not keeping me from anything," he muttered the lie as she hung up the phone.

"And I am most certainly not leaving you until the police come." Avery's smile hadn't convinced him, nothing ever really did if the person was faking it. After all he was the king of deception. He stood up and followed her gaze as she looked around. 'Freakin' a**,' he thought bitterly. Besides the fact that the man was going to hurt a girl he just had to go and destroy the damn place as a plus! Josh scowled, his face turned away from her. "Do want some help cleaning this up?" he asked her.

Avery looked at Josh, even though he wasnt facing her she answered "No im fine Josh, maybe you should go i really dont want to keep you from whatever" She wasnt so happy at the moment, but why would she be she got attacked by some huy who only wanted one thing. She wasnt sure how long it would take the police officer to come, but probably by then she would convinced Josh to leave. Standing up she went to the next room to grab a broom and a trash bag. "You dont have to stay, i will be fine th epolice will probably be here shortly" she said, not going in her room just yet, instead she went to where the man dropped his dumb knife, which she saw was fake. "Damn person" she thought, placing the toy into the trash bag, nothing was too bad except her bedroom door but maybe the owner of this place would give her a free one. She sighed, seeing that maybe she needed to make more money so she could actually buy herself a small house. Walking back into her room, she looked at Josh and sighed, not knowing what to do or say. Just standing there the necklace came to thought and she reached into her pocket and pulled it out. since there was enough light, she held the pendant park closely and tried to make out the name or names engraved on the small thing. "Ana..." she thought, the rest was somewhat worned out and flattened, the letters fading. Turning the pendant this way and that, she finally gave up and placed it back into her pocket.Avery sat down next to Josh, staring at his back and wondered if he was ticklish. Avery was weird like this, even in the worse situations she always thought of something completely useless, but Avery was curious like that. Almost wanting to poke both his sides, she let the thought go he would probably think she was nuts. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him just to make him feel better, smiling just a little. Avery had that sudden feeling again, and a small memory came to mind but it went by so quick all she saw was a boy hiding behind a chair and she was watching him, that boy looked so much like Josh but that part could probably be her imagination.

Chloe smiled at Skyler thinking maybe she had a new friend "No problem!" She said walking into the house. She would have invited Skyler in the house but, she was putting her bike up also she didn't want the girl to be attacked by her little sisters. She walked into the house running up the staires and digging into her bag for the 20 dollars her dad gave her once for a class trip. She quickly sprayed on some hollister colonge and ran back down staires turning to see her mom in the kitchen "How do I look mom? her mom turning to see her "Fine why? Oh did you make a friend, is it a boy!?"Chloe rolled her eyes at her over excited mother she sighed as she told her about Skyler and her mom jumped for joy. "Well I want to meet her!"Chloe laughed rolling her eyes. She sighed opening the garage door.

As Chloe sat foot out side she saw a blonde haired boy, she assumed it was Skyler's brother or other family member because she made jokes at him. As they were making jokes Chloe's mother walked outside, she had put on a black T and some jeans waving excitedly her wavy blonde hair had been teased and she even had enough time to put on makeup, she looked beautiful as always. Chloe smiled out of akwardness and told Skyler and Skyler's ,Chloe's guess, brother,that this was her mom. "Its very nice to meet you Skyler I'm Cali. I'm just so excited that my daughter has already found a friend." She said smiling then heading back into the house after hearing Leah crying, she waved goodbye and disappeared through the door. She unlocked the car doors, "Are you ready to go? Do I need to take him home?"Chloe asked.

While they decided what to do she decided to text Zack back "Hey Zack I miss you too. Yeah, its alright. You'll be surprised at how well I'm doing! I've already made a new friend, & Zack you would love it here and Skyler (Thats the name of my new friend =D ) She is just the type of girl that would be seen shopping and drinking coffee with us. - and yes those were the good days :'( She pushed in the send button as she slipped the phone back into her pocket, she turned to the door to see her sister, Abbigail, peeking through the door she rolled her eyes opening the door she was going to yell at her but Leah was there attached to Abbigail's leg."Leah wants to go to."Abbigail said as she shook her leg a bit Chloe looked down at Leah, her big blue eyes looking right a Chloe she wipped her runny nose on Abbigail's jeans, letting go of Abbigail's leg and running to Chloe her hands open demanding that Chloe pick her up, which she did, "Skyler, is it alright if Leah comes to, we will have to take my mom's car," she looked down at the blonde haired boy"He can come to if he wants." Once she said this a big smile spread across his face.

Skyler stopped teasing Caleb to see what looked like Chloe's mother coming out to greet herself to them. She could tell where Chloe got her looks from. Even though her mom was only wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, she looked like she could pose on the glossy pages of Vogue magazine. She introduced herself to us as Cali. Tee hee...Cali. She looked like she lived in California. "It was very nice to meet you Cali!" Caleb shouted after Cali as she went inside to tend to her daughters, a huge grin plastered on his face as he waved his arm frantically. "You're just trying to butter her up aren't ya?" Skyler laughed, elbowing Caleb. "I am not!" Caleb yelled at her, his face as red as a tomato. Caleb usually let his emotions get the best of him. This is one of the reasons he is a main target of bullying in his class.

Chloe follwed her mother out of the door, asking us if we were ready to leave. When Chloe asked if she should drop off Caleb, Skyler could see a little rain cloud form over his little head. She wondered if Chloe would mind him coming along too. As she whispered to Caleb that he could probably come eat with us, she saw Chloe texting on her iPhone. She wondered who Chloe could be texting. Maybe this friend of her's could move here as well! That would be awesome! Then, she looked up to see Chloe coming towards them holding her little sister. She was SO CUTE! Skyler hoped her little sister would come to like her like a big sister...that would be great. Skyler was pretty good at doing girl's hair. She could do her hair anytime. Chloe told us her name was Leah. It fit her perfectly. Then as Chloe approved of Caleb joining us, she looked down at his face to see his pearly whites shining up at her.

Chloe laughed a bit at the boy. Chloe went to her mom's silver Acura and put Leah in her car seat. She then looked around the seats to make sure there was no junk in the way, which of course there was. She quickly threw it all in the trunk and cleaned the seats making room for her new friend and her nameless family member. Leah started whinning for something but wouldn't tell Chloe what. Chloe sighed and rolled her eyes as she realized what it was. She had left her toy bunny on the steps outside, Chloe quickly grabbed the pink dirty toy and handed it to her. Leah squeezed it in her arms Chloe always giggled when she did this becaus if that bunny had lungs it would probably be dead by now.

She put on her seat belt and put the car in reverse and drove out of the drive way. She then thought for a minute, she didn't even know were this place was! She laughed to herself at this fact she had just realized. She took out her phone and put it in the cup holder beside her, as she did that her phone shook in the cup holder, she didn't want to look like a bad driver so she asked Skyler to read it aloud. She wasn't embaressed espically by Zack. I mean he was gay so there wasn't a real reason for her to be embarresed, or thats what she thought any way. "Also Skyler umm, you might want to give me the directions to this place" Chloe giggled a bit as she said this.

"I have plenty of time. And you said it yourself, the cops should be here soon," he told her. Josh now stared at the sleeping man. Never had he knocked somebody out before. Even in fights it had never gotten this bad. He jumped a little at Avery's touch. He had been too into his thoughts. Josh grinned like a little boy and hugged her. "Good to know you're ok," he said. The nagging feeling of deja vu came back. What the hell was this all about! He was sure he had never met Avery any where before. Or...he was almost sure. There had been that one time......it had been too far back into his childhood for him to remember clearly anymore. "Do you feel like you know me....from....before?" he asked, but the question hung awkwardly in the air.

As Jayden was about to put on a shirt, he overheard Whisper yelling. He was wondering why, but he assumed that someone had called her and made her upset....probably her mom. Jayden pulled his shirt over his head as he listened. He heard her say something about "not going with him to homecoming." Was she talking about him. Jayden could feel his heart begin to ache. He growled a bit, picked up a magazine he had and threw it his bookcase really hard. He heard something that sounded like glass shattering and saw his fake rose in the glass vase about to fall off the shelf where he threw the maganize. He quicklyl ran over to catch it before it fell. Jayden sighed and placed it back where it was originally on the shelf and moved the magazine. He had cracked the glass on a picture frame that held his mother's photo inside. "Damn....now I have to replace this stupid frame..." he said angrily to himself. He threw the magazine on the floor and placed his mother's picture in it's place. He stood there and stared at it for a moment...thinking about his dearest mother. He shook his head after a minute and hatefully walked to the door.

He walked out of his room and into the kitchen, not even glancing in Whisper's direction as he walked in. He was furious, but he tried his best to hide it. The oven began beeping when the time reached zero and Jayden went to get the pizza. He turned off the timer and opened the door, pulling out the pizza with an oven mitt on his hand. There was an awkward silence that filled the room and he was hoping that he wasn't sending any bad vibes in Whisper's direction. When he finished cutting the pizza, he put two slice on each plate he had set out for him and Whisper and picked them up to place on the table. Jayden put Whisper's food down in front of her and sat his plate across from her. There was still silence filling the room as Jayden sat down to eat.

『 Alyssa smiled at the boy when he shook her hand. Finally, a chance to get to know someone who was a normal teenager! Alyssa giggled a bit at this thought, because she knew that she was FAR from normal. "Ahh, I see. Well then, Jake Lamburo, it's a pleasure to meet you. And you know, you might be in my History class, but I'm not entirely sure." she said, scratching the side od her head with her index finger and looking away from his direction. She shrugged her shoulders and laughed. "Well, we'll figure this out later when we go to class I guess." Alyssa felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket and ignored it. She knew it would be her father trying to convince her to come back so that way he could punish her for running off again. When would he learn that Alyssa could not be locked up in that "cage" forever. She needed to spread her wings.

She stretched her arms and leaned against a brick wall near her. "So, Jake. How long have you lived here?" she asked, looked at her with a serious face now. But nothing scary. She wanted to get to know him a bit better, but didn't knwo how to. It was rare when she every interacted with anyone her age that she didn't know. This guy seemed kind of laid back. Like the kind of person that didn't care much. But she didn't think that in a bad way. Alyssa was always optimistic when it came to her opinions. Then, she came up with an idea. She was planning on going for a short walk around the town, and she wondered if Jake would like to join her...if he wasn't busy. "Say..." she hesitated a bit, "Would you like to join me on a small walk through the town...if you aren't busy? I don't really feel like going home yet. Besides, my father is mad at me anyway." she said, looking over to her right and brushing a small part of her hair that was in her face behind her ear. 』

Whisper put her head down and tried to hold in the tears. She blamed her mother. Whisper wanted something more than just yelling and screaming. She wanted to show her mom how she really felt, she wanted her to see her future plans for Whisper shattered. Whisper wanted to get out of the hell-like life she had with her parents. Whisper lifted her head up when she heard a crash from Jayden's room. She thought something horrible might have happened to him. She was getting up out of her seat, just when he was coming out. She peaked into the little space of the doorway. She couldn't make anything out though. It was pitch black in there. She was still curious about what he was hiding in there. Something good or bad? She asked herself. Whisper never liked being curious. Especially since she heard the saying, "Curiosity killed the cat." she wondered if it were true, but Whisper wasn't a cat so it couldn't kill her, right?

When he walked out the kitchen had a deadly silence to it. The oven's beep made her heart skip a beat and almost fall out of her seat. He didn't seem like he was going to talk. She wondered if it was something she may have done. Whisper watched as he sat down and the plate placed in front of her. Whisper's fingers began to tremble as she was reaching for it. She hadn't but a clue to why she wouldn't break the silence. She felt jumpy after her phone call. She was scared that after the phone call may have changed things. That Jayden heard something he wasn't supposed to. "Um, thanks." she spit out. It felt awkward to break it with only two words. Whisper looked at Jayden and cracked a fake smile. "Jayden, is everything okay?" she asked, curiously. She wanted to get to the bottom of it. She wanted to make sure it wasn't her fault for anything. She didn't want to loose everything in just a day or worse an hour.

After she asked the question Whisper jumped when her phone rang. Her mom's name lit up on the screen again. Whisper sighed and flipped her phone open. She wasn't going to speak because if she had her mom would notice the change of tone and get angrier with her. Instead of her speaking first her mom spoke. "Whisper, excuse my language but you better get your a** home, this minute, young lady!" Her mom had never spoken to her like that. She knew her mom was very angry. Whisper tried to suppress her anger as well. All the anger she had kept inside for so many years. "No." she said simply. She had not a better word for her mother. "I'm not gonna come home." she added. Her mom's breath broke into a growl. Her mom was loosing it. "If you don't come home tonight, where will you stay, hmmm? Well,then deary. I'm going to say it again. If you don't come meet Rutherford of France then you shall not ever step out of the house ever again! Do you understand me!?" her mom screamed back. Now, Whisper was at a loss of words. She had two options: One, go home and go with a date you never wanted to go with. Or two, stay here and let her mom try it. "Mother, I'll say this once more: I'm not coming home! I've had enough!" Whisper flipped her phone shut and pushed the plate gently to the side and put her head down once again.
