Kyle Hawerlock ● Simba

Kyle was free! That was the only way to describe how he felt when school was out. It wasn’t that he absoultly hated school or anything. He just had so many other places he would rather be where he wouldn’t have to deal with teachers and other adult figures. If Kyle could avoid authority at all times he would be a happy guy. He just liked to have fun and it seemed like adults ruined that for him. But school was out and now it was time to have fun… if he could find some people to have fun with. Kyle didn’t need to find some other people just to have fun but it would make things a lot more interesting. That and Kyle wasn’t much of a loner. He liked to have other people around.

Kyle made his way to his locker and stashed away all the books he wouldn’t need for his homework tonight. He debated on if he should just leave his entire backpack there. More than likely he wouldn’t be doing his homework. In the end he decided to take it along with him anyway. His mom would kill him if he started to fail a class this early in the semester. Taking out his rollerblades Kyle was already starting to get anxious to go home. He needed to be on the move today. Sitting through classes was torture. He just couldn’t sit still. He went outside and sat down on the ground watching as people made their way home.

Kyle laced up his rollerblades. That was his way of getting around. He had a car but it was much better to just skate around the town to get where he needed to. He quickly skated to his house. He wanted to drop off his homework and his backpack as fast as possible. He didn’t need any reminders of school around. That would just ruin his good time. As soon as he got home he opened the door and just threw his backpack in. His parents were not home. Big surprise there! They always worked late so Kyle didn’t need to tell them where he was going.

Once Kyle was done with things at home he took off around town. He wondered who he should call or if he should even call anyone. Maybe he should just wait until someone crossed his path. But then again he didn’t know if anyone would cross his path. Kyle shook his head. He didn’t need to be thinking about stuff like this. It was just too complex. He finally decided to go to the park and just hang out there. Maybe someone would be around there.

Alex Rose

Beauty

Alex looked up in surprise when the bell rang. Had the class period really gone by that quickly? She looked at the clock and sure enough it said 3:00. Alex thought the class must have been fairly interesting considering the period went by so fast. They covered the life of Jean Valjean and his pursuit from the constable Javert while Marius and Cosette had little time to get to know each other before they were ripped apart because Marius was joining a rebellion… Alex literally put a stop on her thoughts. That was no something you learned in science class. She groaned slightly to herself as she looked down at her desk and saw [Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. She had been reading the entire period. That was why it went by so fast. She hadn’t been focusing on the class at all. She desperately tried to remember what was said but she was drawing up a blank. Curse the books she read. They always managed to distract her from school.

Alex looked around the room quick to see if she could grab anyone’s attention. Maybe they could tell her what happened in class. Of course, if she had the courage to go talk to anyone was a different story. She was the girl who didn’t talk to anyone. She would just sit and read her books. She would talk to people if they talked to her first but the problem was that she was the bookworm. No one really wanted to associate themselves with her. She was saved from having to debate on her thoughts longer by seeing that everyone had left, even the teacher. Was she really that invisible to everyone now?

Alex picked herself up from her desk and exited the classroom. It seemed like everyone was in a hurry to leave. The halls were basically empty except for the few kids who hung around the school waiting for a meeting to start or something like that. A few times Alex had been known to walk down the halls while reading the current book she was into. She quickly found out that it didn’t work out too well in crowded hallways. But now the halls were empty and it was perfect reading time only Alex didn’t feel like taking her book out. It wasn’t just the fact that she finished it in class… okay maybe that was one of the main reasons.

Reaching her locker Alex opened it to find the big pile of books that she liked to keep at school. School hadn’t even been going on that long but Alex still managed to accumulate enough books to jam pack her locker. She made a mental note to clean that out before winter came and her coat wouldn’t fit. She managed to put some of her school books in the locker by taking a few of her ordinary books home. She shut the locker once she was done and headed out for the front door of the school. She walked outside and found a tree to sit under. Her older brother was in town and he was supposed to pick her up from school since he was currently stealing her car while he was here. She looked around and didn’t see him. So instead she took out one of her books and started reading until he showed up. If he didn’t forget of course.

Sophie woke with a startle. Whoa... She rolled over on her bed and hit the floor with a soft thud. She groaned. "Damn" She whispered softly while rubbing her back. Rolling over she saw that her pile of homework was still there from a week ago. "Fudge..." She went to the bathroom to fix herself up. Her hair in a soft bun she was wearing a a volcom tank top with shorts. She walked down the stairs. "Hi, love good morning. Go get breakfast."Her mother said while kissing her forehead Sophie pranced to the table with her little brothers were playing with their toys. Finishing her breakfast she walked to the school.

In her last class sophia head was been on her arms for the last 30 minutes of class. She was tired. Fine! I never want to see you again! Before she could storm out he grabbed her arm and kissed her. She tried to forget him but the kiss was so real she didn't let go and pull away. Tears started to fill her eyes. He kissed them away while smiling. "It's alright." She scooped her up in his arms and carried--She heard the bell ring and shook with a startle. The end of the day. She smiled and walked out of the door.

She closed her locker carrying her bag. She saw ashelin talking to her girl. She smiled and passed them. Thinking to herself she looked at the sun. It was nice. Hearing the birds outside she smiled. She also saw a new boy. She smiled. Thinking back a few days she remembered when she skipped school with a guy she barely knew. Josh. They had a very fun time. Well for her she did. She smiled at the thought. Realizing to herself that she smiled about everything today that she just saw she chuckled of how weird she was. Walking away from the area she walked slowly hopefully for someone to walk by.

xxxxR y d e r awoke to the most annoying sound in the universe... the beep, beep, beep of an alarm clock. She reached over, hitting the snooze button, which turned it off. She threw off her covers grumbling under her breath slightly as she stumbled out of bed grumbling angrily. She walked over to the bathroom which was located across the hall, her bare feet touched the freezing cold tile and she shivered Oh my god that's cold!. She closed the door and listened to see if anyone else was about to use the shower or was up at all, she shrugged undressed rather quickly then turned the hot water on and showered.

xxxxO n c e showered she dried her body and twisted her hair into a towel; She would have done her make-up first but the mirror was all fogged up from the steam. She sighed and opened the door, with the towel wrapped tightly around her she skipped into her room and closed the door and picked out some clothes to wear. She chose her favorite hip-hugger blue jeans, and a really cute yellow baby-doll shirt that said 'Free Hugs for All' in loud colored letters. She sat on her bed after putting her under garments on and put her socks on, she stopped a moment to look at her ankles then shuddered and quickly put her socks on. She pulled her pants on, and did up her belt; next she pulled her shirt over her head and pulled it to the right length.

xxxxB y this time it was 8:30am, she had just realized how slow she was. She walked slowly into the bathroom, she left the door ajar and she looked at her face, wanting to cry seeing the large bruise that had finally appeared on her cheek from three nights ago, she sighed as she applied cover-up to her face and then she did her eye-make up slow and precisely, making it look beautiful. She did her hair next, she bent over taking the towel off her hair and throwing it in the corner, she brushed her hair, making sure there was no knots. She then walked back into her room and sat on her bed after grabbing her phone. She unplugged it from its charger and she opened it to turn it on, seeing if she had any text messages. She knew it was the first day of school but suddenly she felt sick, horrible. She ran into the bathroom and threw up, groaning afterward and walked back to her bed her arms swaying and she fell on her bed like a dead body. Ryder rolled over and opened her phone, texting her friends from school:

Hey Guys,
Guess what! Well I am sick, just threw up...
I won't be coming in today, please gather my homework...
Hopefully I'll be better by tonight please text me if there are any plans for after school!
Ryder <3

xxxxA f t e r sending the text she rolled her eyes and called the school leaving a message on the machine letting the school know she wasn't going to be able to be there today and that she will be in the next day. The blonde didn't bother undressing and just laid on her bed trying to fall asleep before she had to run to the bathroom again.

Marshall Collen Greene
Argh!

User Imagexxx

Sighing as the last bell rang, Marshall stood, slung one of the straps of his backpack over a shoulder, and pushed his chair in so it sat underneath the desk neatly before walking out of the English classroom. He’d hardly heard a word the old woman had lectured, his focus that period mostly drawn to Brandyn – who looked rather tired and sleepy – who had, both unfortunately and fortunately for Marshall, sat directly in front of the far-from-focused blond boy. It certainly wasn’t Marshall’s fault he was so drawn to Brandyn…well…maybe it was, on second thought. But maybe it wasn’t entirely Marshall’s fault! Maybe…oh…maybe – just maybe – Marshall was influenced by one of his not-so-neat-and-tidy friends to think in a twisted way. Yes. That was it. That was why Marshall happened to like Brandyn more than just a peer.

After emptying his textbooks and binders into his locker so that they lined up perfectly, Marshall shut the locker door, stepping away from it as he pondered what to do next. Sighing after a few seconds of thought, he finally decided on just walking around town. That way he might bump into someone so they could hang out, or something… Anything to get Marshall’s mind off of Homecoming and envy for Krysta’s friendship with Brandyn would be good with him.

The first thing that hit him as he stepped out of the school was the slight autumn breeze. Marshall welcomed the slight wind with a smile, shutting his eyes as he allowed cool air to push back his bangs and hit his forehead. Fresh air was always so refreshing, and Marshall welcomed it any time of day, every day. As he observed the scenery, Marshall’s eyes landed on a girl sitting under a tree, reading her book. The way wisps of her hair were being blown around was almost…well, Marshall couldn’t describe it, but it sure looked kind of magical. It was just the kind of fairytale hair all the little girls admired of the heroines in picture books. Shaking his head free of his thoughts, Marshall adjusted his backpack straps before approaching the girl.

He hesitated as he stood a few feet away from the girl. He’d seen her somewhere in the school. Where had he seen her? The cafeteria? No… Biology? Probably not… Suddenly, it clicked in his head. That’s right! The library. Approaching her, he squatted when he was right in front of her, suddenly feeling not shy for the first time, talking to a girl. ”Your hair is really pretty,” he blurted before thinking it over, and immediately gave himself a mental slap across the face. Doing a face-to-palm, he rubbed his nose and growled at himself in frustration before looking up at the girl again. ”What I meant to say is…Hi.” And again, another mental slap across the face. Nice cover up…

Alex was deep in her reading. It was something she couldn’t help doing when she sat down and read. Granted she shouldn’t be doing this because she had to watch out for her bother to come around. Currently she was reading Wicked by Gregory Mcguire and she was at the part where Fiyero was talking to Elphaba. ”Your hair is really pretty.” Now that didn’t make sense. Why would Fiyero ever say that at this point in the book. Alex had even read the book before so this shouldn’t surprise her. In her moment of confusion she looked up and was surprised to see someone right in front of her. That’s when it hit her. She hadn’t been reading that sentence, she had heard it.

Looking at the guy in front of her she tried to think if she had seen him before. Maybe she had even talked to him. She hated how horrible her social skills were. She knew that she recognized this guy at least from somewhere in the school. ”Uh… Thanks I guess. And Hi.” She was pretty sure she hadn’t talked to him before so she thought she would introduce herself. ”I’m Alex.” She really hoped that they hadn’t met before. That would just be embarrassing.

You can paint with all the colours of the wind

Roze slammed shut the door of her locker angrily, earning her several stares from a few people standing by. Fine, let them look. Her punishment had begun not even a day ago and it was already getting to her. Her parents said that it would teach her to not sneak off during school, much less go with a boy and terrorize the town! What had she been thinking? Sadly she shook her head, her brown bangs falling over her eyes. Little miss proper had to go home and do some more of those disgusting etiquette classes. Grandma was arriving today precisely at six and she was expected to have tea ready for her.

She pushed the door of the school open and dashed down the steps and raced to her house. There was hell to pay. But her parents were right, this would teach her. Her father had barely spoken to her that day during breakfast and her mother, the more nurturing one, wouldn't stop trying to make small talk with her. She had left the house in a foul mood and the thought of school hadn't really helped her either. "Almost there..." she thought as she jumped over a small fence and avoided stepping on a shitzu's tail.

Stopping in front of her steps to fix her hair and settle down Roze grabbed her bag like a purse and walked into the house. It was empty. A sigh of relief escaped her. Good. Now she had time to get some homework done, get in the shower and set things up for when her grandmother came. Oh goody.

Josh felt like slacking now. He threw his book bag over the seat of the car and slid in. Sitting behind the wheel for a few minutes before slipping the key into the ignition and pulling out of the parking lot. Where to go now? His parents were still gone and for two more weeks he had the house to himself. Maybe he could call Sophia up? Nah. She was probably busy and he felt the need to think up a new plan.

This time it would have to involve something that would make people scream with either joy or outrage. He was hoping the teachers would be the only outraged ones. Forgetting all about going home for a while, Josh parked the car in front of the cafe and went in. Coffee was always good to clear his head. And maybe the caffeine would help his ideas spark up.

He took his usual order, a chai latte, and went to sit at a table near the windows. A pen that he had left in his pocket during class doodled aimlessly on the napkin that lay on the table. The plan was beginning to form again. It seemed a little lame to him and definitely not his style. It would require help from others when he was used to flying solo. Josh sipped the latte through the straw and began doodling again.

"And now we take the cosine of this trigonomic function, inversing it to recieve the secent angle for our graph..." Saybrae let out a sigh, not bothering to hide it from the class. By now, they had most likely grown used to her and her complaints on the subject. Saybrae was legendary, ever since elementary school, for finding ways to avert or show boredom in any class that pursued numbers past the multiplication level. Today was no different, and as the teacher droned on in his Ben Stein-esque voice, she lifted her head from it's sedentary position on the desk.

Ever so softly, under her breath, she muttered, "Buuueeeller."The seats around her fell into immediate snickers, for she was able to match the tone and frequency of the math teacher, Mr. Bellows, spot-on. He was blissfully unaware of her advances, too interested himself in the world of triangles and graphs. Alas, Saybrae often thought, If only students matched his passion, then we would have a lot more A's would we not?

She shook her head clear of her thoughts, and gave out a louder "Buuueeeeller," to top her last one. As luck would have it, the bell ran for school ending to drown out her line. Chairs scraped across the floor, and she herself was no different, stuffing her doodle-heavy notebook into her army camo messanger bag. A joke to the majority of pretty girls who handled purse bags nowawdays to and from their classes. She glanced at the whiteboard to see what tonight's homework assignment would be, and walked out as quickly as she could.

She made her way down the hall, ignoring the homecoming posters littered throughout. Just another useless waste of school time and money it seemed. And people complained about the quality of the fields and equipment? She sighed, making her way into the bright Autumn sunshine. She spread her arms out wide, enjoying the sensation the sun often had on her. It enegrized her, brought her a small ray of hope in the duldrums small-town life and high school too often gave.

Still with her eyes closed, Saybrae walked backwards to the stone banister at the side of the school's enternace steps, and hopped on. Leaning back, she set her bag down as a pillow, soaking in the sun as she awaited her dad to come drive by and pick her up.

Babe it was a mistake.. i think we should take time-- Her eyes filled with tears. She felt like exploding.Fine! I never want to see you again! Before she could storm out he grabbed her arm and kissed her. She tried to forget him but the kiss was so real she didn't let go and pull away. Tears started to fill her eyes. He kissed them away while smiling. "I'm sorry Forgive me." He scooped her up in his arms and carried--

She smirked. Her imangination was running freely in a large grassy field of never ending love. But, it made her sad at times. She longed to have a boyfriend, but she didn't really want to show it. She seemed desperate and all, but she pushed the feelings aside. She missed her boyfriend. She thought she could call him. or even text. Hey ryan : ) How are you?

She snapped close her phone and put in on vibrate. Hoping he would text her back she sat down on a bench thinking she would.. her phone vibrated. Babe : ) I miss you. oh and i'm lonely ): Come home?. She thought she was about to cry. Had he miss her when she left? So many question running thru her head. Sitting down on a bench seeing alex with a cute guy she smiled. She was happy for her. Being alone was sort of lonely. Hah. Lonely. She looked at the message again and made sure it was him. She felt her hands tremble. Haha. Your mr. popularity. How are you lonely? biggrin And yes i miss you too. But, i'm sure you have a girlfriend. <3 She was surely going to cry now. Bobbing his head up and down to an imaginary rhythm even as the last bell of the day rang, Kung Woo got up from his seat – the middle seat of the first row, smack in front of where the teacher had been standing, in fact – and moved towards the door in hip-hop-inspired movements, still to the rhythm he was making up on the spot in his head. As soon as he was out the door, Kung Woo lifted the set of thick, rather expensive, black Sony headphones so they covered his ears, blocking out all of the sound that he really didn’t need to distract himself with.
Making a mental note to himself to write down the actual notes of the beat he was creating somewhere when he got home, the rather distracted multi-tasking student continued to move through the halls in his smooth, moonwalk-like movements until he got to his locker. Guys he passed raised their eyebrows and made mental notes to themselves to Google the blindingly white sneakers Kung Woo was sporting, and girls giggled as he ignored the rest of the world and continued to faintly smile to himself as he moved along.

x After dumping his books – bag included – into his rather messy locker, Kung Woo stopped the swift dance steps he was creating and shoved his hands into the deep pockets of his jeans. They weren’t so baggy that the shape of his leg wasn’t visible, but not so tight, either, that it was…awkward to look at. The various shades of blue denim and thread made Kung Woo’s legs look skinnier than they already did, and the ripped kneecap area of the jeans only added to the teenager’s casual look. They hung off of his narrow hips loosely, threatening to fall down and meet his brand-new sneakers any second if Kung Woo made a sudden movement. Lucky for him and the safety of his gray headphone boxers, Kung Woo wasn’t the guy to be springing off of walls and jumping around. He was not only a smooth dancer, but also a smooth walker. It was almost as if he wasn’t walking out of the school, and more like he was gliding on something that happened to form a path wherever he wanted to go to.

Grinning as the warmed-up afternoon sun beams hit his face, Kung Woo ran a hand through his hair before sighing contentedly and removing his headphones so that the chirped last-minute plans to fly south for the winter and students’ various conversations could flow through and out of his ears. Kung Woo wasn’t much of an eavesdropper, and was quite proud to state so.
Shoving his hands back into his jean pockets, Kung Woo glanced around, finding someone to talk to, before he spotted Brandyn. Brandyn…what class is he with me in, again? English. …No. Music. …Definitely not. Aha! Math. Grinning to himself as he finally realized that Brandyn was the one-and-only Brandyn who never attended class from Math, Kung Woo approached the casually – literally – laid-back young man and stopped walking when he was standing directly in front of the boy, blocking out Brandyn’s face from the sun. They didn’t know each other so well that they were considered mutual friends…but they were, Kung Woo guessed, close enough that they could butt into each other’s time and carry pointless conversations without feeling awkward.

x“’Sup?” he greeted casually, cracking a smirk as he smoothly crouched down so he was squatting, almost level with the other dark-haired boy. “So, uh…what useful tasks were you performing during Calculus?” Little did Kung Woo know, his headphone boxers were being shown to the world as his shirt didn’t completely cover his butt and he was squatting in a position where his pants slid down his hips just a few inches. A group of girls gossiping nearby stopped their chatter at this exhibition and immediately burst out into little giggles and sighs of the sort, their topic obviously changed to how hot the Asian boy looked under the sun with his boxers shown to the world. Kung Woo glanced over his shoulder at the girls for a split second, his expression quite fazed as his eyes were blank and his mouth slightly open, before deciding that they were gossiping about unimportant matters and turning back to Brandyn.

OOC: Heh heh...first post for new charrie! xD Brandyn~ Kung Woo is talking to you~~~ <---hey, that rhymes. xD
Wow... O.O That was an extremely long post.

Wes shuffled out of class, his head barely making it under the door frame. He was big, in just about every sense of the word. Wes was tall, about six foot and four inches, muscular, about one hundred and eighty pounds, Nothing massive, but enough definition for girls to ask if they could grate cheese on his abs, or use his pecks as pillows. He sighed internally and walked down the hallway, avoiding the awkward stare of new students. They gawked like they just saw a statue of Hercules come to life and walk down the hall. As odd as it was, Wes was used to it. As long as he remembered, he was big. Even in third grade, he was always a few inches taller than everyone else. Wes slid his phone out of his pocket, and poked at the touch screen. There was a new message, from...Amanda?

He tapped the screen to see what she could want. You selfish sonuvabitch. Don't think I didn't hear about what happened at Kirsten's party. Kiss my a**, man-hoe! The message was nasty, and most of the blood drained from Wes' face. He tapped the screen, forming out another message.

I really don't know what to say. Did you hear that Whittany had been grabbing me the whole night, then launched herself on me? I didn't start anything. If you think I'm such a skeeza, fine, we're finished! Wes angrily stuffed the phone back into his pocket. A reply wouldn't be coming. He steamed for a bit, letting the reality that his girlfriend of two years had just given him the boot. He rubbed his temples, then reached out and struck the locker, hard. Wes had left a nice, hand sized dent in his locker. The locker swung open, and he stuffed his books inside, punching the indentation in the locker to straighten the door back out. Why did things like this always happen to him. He didn't try to be so damn good looking, but girls in this school didn't take no for an answer.

This weekend would no doubt be a beach trip...

Saybrae lazily opened an eye, glancing down at her cell phone for the time. With a heavy sigh she clasped it shut, raising an arm over head. "Gah. 3:30 already? Where are youuu dad?" Don't get her wrong, she loved her dad to death. It was just at times he wasn't the most alert, or taskmasterly. She smirked, lifting her lean body to a sitting position. If she knew her dad, he probably was at home watching the pregame for the NBA finals or something. Not that she had anything against basketball. She lamely raised her fist in mock cheer. "Sixers all the way..."

Her cheer was cut short though, by the girl sitting on the bench not that far from her vantage point. Swining her legs over the stone, she slipped her cell into her pocket, arms now moving to the big pocket on the front of her hoodie. She tilted her head, trying to determine if the girl had a reason to look so sullen. Not one to leave someone in that much thinking time to themselves, she raised her head, along with her voice.

"Oi! Umm..." She tried to race her thoughts, remembering her name. Black hair, quirky, jokester... Saybrae bit her lip, before having her name pop into mind. "Sophie! Yeah!" Pleased she was able to conquer this conquest, she leaned back, jean-clad legs swinging wildly from over the stone banister. "Dollar for your thoughts?"

She heard the girls whisper and giggle. She turned her head to see a boy in stress and then he punched the locker. It startled her. But yes he was good looking. She smiled. and turned back to hear her name being called. She kind got thrown off guard. Her arms flailed and she fell off the bench. "F u c k ..." She laughed it off. Sophie blew remaining hair up with her breath.

"Well, hello there." She managed a weak smile. Then laughed. "Why thankyou for a big shock." She laughed. She stood up dusting herself off. "Sorry, i didn't manage to get your name. i guess you know my name by.. " She looked over her shoulder to get a peek at this new guy and back at this girl. Feeling the vibration of her cell phone she held up a finger. "Hold on. i need to get this." She flipped open her cell and saw it was from ryan. No, i didn't get a girlfriend. A certain girl has my heart, you know her. She beautiful, sweet, and everything you could wish for. I love her so much. I don't think she could ever imagine that.. Small tears were forming but didn't fall down her face. Shaking the thought she texted back. Ohh. she must be a great girlfriend then. well this girl. Tell me who this girl is? Please smile Looking at the girl she weakly smiled. "Sorry for that. It was kind of important"

She gave the girl an even bigger smile, pleased she was able to shock someone so. She always deemed it healthy for the soul that one recieves a good jolt now and then. Unfazed by her cursing, Saybrae jutted out her chin. "When one plays in the shadows, one learns a thing or two about the light." She brought her hand foward, gesturing at Sophie. "Or i can just say you're in a few of my classes, and i remember faces easily."

She jumped down from her wall, taking care to leave her bag there. She bounded across the stairs, making her way to right in front of the girl. Hands were clasped at her back, and she leaned back on the balls of her feet.
"Are you okay though? It seemed like you were thinking quite a bit about something." While she was happy talking to someone new, a bit of her was sad to see already Sophie was most likely like...well most girls. Her smile lowered to a simple grin, and she reached a hand to sweep back a stray strand that her side bangs often bugged her with.

She looked past the girl at times though, to see who exactly was straying her attention from the conversation. Saybrae rose an eyebrow. Of course it was a guy...one would assume most girls at this age fall victim to this hormonal spell yes? Saybrae was gald to say her life had not yet been to a point where she looked out for potential mates and snugglers at every second. She was glad to say his name came to mind as well though. Wes she believed. She did have to admire though how he so easily dented the locker. Lord knows how many times she tried to do that...
