Kyle thought about her question. What did kids do after school? Well everyone was different. Kyle usually did a bunch of stuff. He would go around the town on his rollerblades, head to the mall with some friends, do some innocent, yet slightly illegal, stuff. It was always up in the air. ”Do you want the long list or the short?” Kyle asked jokingly. He gave it a couple more moments of thought before continuing. ”Well people go to the mall a lot or just go around town with nothing much to do. Actually if you want to go with the majority of people then what they do after school would be going home and sitting in front of their tvs until they go to bed.”

As stated earlier Kyle didn’t like sitting still so sitting in front of a tv was a bad idea. He could barely get through a movie without fidgeting. He liked to be outdoors exploring new places. ”But if you want to know what I do after school that’s a completely different list.” He looked at Kari and wondered what type of person she was. Did she like to be out and about or did she like to be indoors? He thought she was more the former because of her comment about the trees earlier.

She listened to Kyle's explanation with interest. Sitting in front of the T.V.? That seemed so pointless. That's what Uncle Sylvester did all day, when he was snoring away, of course. Kari allowed herself a small, sly smile. It'd been awhile since she'd been to a mall. The most she ever did was go to the store under supervision to get groceries. That was incredible boring, however, and nothing like going to the mall with her adoptive parents.

Kyle said he did something different than most, and that made Kari all the more curious. "So what is it that you do?" she asked with interest. She began to try and come up with something. Maybe he went on fantastic adventures. Skydiving, maybe? She'd seen that on television once, and her uncle had shortly thereafter told her that people die skydiving. She'd still been just as interested in it. There were a number of things Kari could think that he spent his afternoons doing.

Kyle smiled when Kari showed interest in what he did. So she’s curious too, huh? Kyle was always glad when he found people who were curious like him. It proved that he wasn’t a complete and totally freak that way. Kyle wondered how much he should tell Kari about what all he did. Some of the things she might not agree with and he certainly didn’t want to turn her away when she could be someone to hang out with and get to know better.

Kyle put a thoughtful face on and glanced at Kari. ”Well, I do some normal things like going to the mall and hanging around with friends.” He paused not sure if he should continue or not. He finally decided he would. What could it hurt after all? Hakuna Matata. ”One of the things I do the most though is go around the town and try out some new things.” Okay that wouldn’t cut it. ”What I mean is, I get into trouble a lot. I like to do things that go against some of the town’s ‘laws’ and I happen to get in trouble when I do those things. Not that exciting I realize but it keeps me entertained I guess.” Kyle wondered how Kari would react to that.

Maybe he could still show her it be nice to let someone else see his place. None of his friends cared about seeing it even if they were the ones that came with him to the cemetery. Yet, again they weren’t really quiet so maybe it was really a good thing he never did show them. They were rather rough and loud people and might have hurt something in the process of seeing it. Now he knew he did make a good choice in never showing them. Once she spoke her name his head nodded slightly a smile against his pale pink lips as he listened to her speak. She did have a soft voice, a very good story tell reader if she read anything out loud.

Left here by her brother? That would totally stink especially if she lived far away from the school. There might have been only seven hundred people living here but it was larger large to get to certain places. "Left for the female gender right? All my friends are doing that too lately." His lips turned into a frown slightly. Maybe it was because he didn't have that 'special' person or it might have been because they choose them over him either way it annoyed him greatly at times. "Are you in a need to get home right away? Or would you like to see a place only I know about or at least I think I only do. Either way I can take you where you go I have an extra helmet in the trunk part." He couldn’t help but smile slightly as he never had seen people near his ‘special place’ before but that just meant he got there either before them or after or he really was the only person to know about the special spot of his.

Roze had heard a voice before, it sounded so familiar. But when she looked around to find its source she was greeted with an empty sidewalk. Maybe she should be paying more attention to what was going on around her and not go off to 'Lala Land'. With a small shrug she kept walking til she stumbled into the park. From there she took of running, to nowhere in particular, just far away. She noticed the cluster of trees getting closer and closer. Good. Her feet moved toward the direction of the trees faster and faster.

There they were, standing tall and proud, leaves whispering softly in the breeze. Her phone began to buzz in her back pocket. No way was she going to answer. She knew who was calling and what they wanted. "Forget you. I'm having fun." Roze raised her arms to her side and twirled around the nearest tree. This one was the one she'd climb. The nearest branch was just an arms length away which made it easier to swing herself up and begin her climb. The sleeve of the shirt got caught between a branch and ripped. It made her grin.

Nearing the very top the branches seemed thinner and she wasn't going to risk one breaking and killing her. She inched closer and gasped. She could see the whole town. Her hands grasped the branch tightly as she wrapped her legs around it. It felt lonely though. Back home she had never been friendly or anything and she regretted it completely. Things would change here, she had told herself many times. But she barely knew people and climbing trees by herself away from civilization wasn't helping her cause. Yet she stayed there, it was too peaceful to get down just yet. Roze liked the peace, the fact that her hands and clothes were covered in sap. Everything was just the way she liked it.

After what felt like ages sitting on the chair in the cafe Josh stared from the empty container to the napkin filled with blue ink. Nothing on it was legible anymore. He sighed and got up, pushed the chair back and slipped into his car. As he turned it on he noticed the digital clock on the dashboard and slapped his steering wheel violently. The call! His parent's phone call! Going faster than he had ever gone before he pressed the pedal and zoomed to the streets, burning the rubber of the tires as he parked in his driveway.

Clumsily he stuck the keys in the keyhole of the front door and ran in. He slipped on the rug and almost fell, catching himself at the very last second. The phone was ringing. It had been ringing ever since he pushed the door open. Breathless, he answered the phone. "He-hello?" Blood was pounding in his ears, his heart beating way too fast. It was his mother. Just checking in and now they had to go to a meeting. She reminded him not to forget to eat and to take care of himself. He nodded and then realized she couldn't see him so he mumbled a yes and said good bye.

He pressed himself against the wall and slid down it, the phone still in his hand. All that worry for a crappy conversation like that. Definitely not worth the heart attack he felt he was going to have. Feeling more composed he put the phone back and walked out to his car.

Homecoming was only days away. He probably wouldn't do anything this time. There had been no planning and it was too late in the game to do anything with other people. More slowly now he drove through the streets. Aimlessly he cruised the streets. Could he get his parents to forget the little mishap if he bought them something for their anniversary? They were material people after all. "It's decided then," he said to himself in the car.

Somebody was walking down the street in his direction. Josh parked the car alongside the girl and rolled down the passenger window, leaning over to talk. "Hey! You're from school right? Need a ride or something?" he smiled sweetly at the girl. Never had he missed a chance at things like this, whether he knew the person or not. He believe chances led to ingenious plans in the end.

Kari would not have pegged Kyle for the get into trouble type, but then again, she didn't really know the type. In fact, she didn't know any sort of type, except for old, crazy and senile, just like Uncle Sylvester. This was the reason she was so willing to talk to people. She wanted to know who they were; wanted to know about them. "Can't say I've ever been in trouble with the law," she said. Thinking about it, she figured there was probably a law somewhere about drugging your crazy old Great Uncle and sneaking out of the house, but as long as she didn't get caught, no harm, no foul, right?

She smiled. "So, these adventures, tell me about them. I mean, you have to have some cool stories of things you've done," she said, her eyes wide and eager like a little kid asking for a lollipop. "Of course, that is if you don't mind me asking," she added hastily, remembering her manners. Her eagerness often got the better of her, and her questions were usually forward and abrupt.

Kyle was glad that Kari wasn’t calling him an idiot and leaving. Some people did that when he told him he liked to get in trouble from time to time. They didn’t really get it. He didn’t like the trouble part of it, just the exciting adrenalin rush he got. He tried to think of something he had done. ”Well there was a time I put a cherry bomb in a mailbox. Only problem with that one was the policeman was right behind me. Not too good on my part. I’ve been caught around town after curfew too.” Okay, so that one wasn’t that exciting but they all couldn’t be.

Kyle looked at Kari and got an idea. He wondered if Kari would be up for it. He looked at her. She didn’t seem like the type of girl who would get into trouble that often. Maybe she never got in to trouble. He couldn’t help but suggest something anyway. ”You know, talking about this stuff is fun and everything but sometimes talking isn’t enough. It would be better if we actually did something. If you don’t mind of course.” Kyle wasn’t planning on adding that last bit but he had to at the last minute.

Alex Rose

Beauty

Alex thought about Yuan’s offer. She should be getting home and telling off her brother for what he did but what Yuan said interested her. She wondered where he was talking about and if she had ever been there before. Alex thought she got her little curiosity from the books she read. She would often read about adventures and it would make her want to go on one of her own. Of course, what kind of adventures could someone go on in a small town? Not too many was the answer she thought. But maybe she was wrong. Also it would be funny if her parents noticed her absence. Then they would be telling her brother off for leaving her at school.

Alex felt a new feeling of boldness. She felt like she could take on the world. Well maybe not the world but she could at least agree to go with this guy. ”If you don’t mind, I’d like to see the place your talking about. Where is it?” She wondered if Yuan would tell her where it was or not. Maybe he would just show her instead. It would be interesting to be going somewhere without knowing the destination.

A vein twitched in her forehead as this new kid, for she had never seen him before, near strided over to her crowd. She had his type peggged from first glance, that he was a spineless pretty boy who could give a goat's behind about equality or fairness. When one like him could so easily snag the spot of king in homecoming, then why bother explaining to him?

She cleared her throat, arms still raising the student body's last chance for salvation. Her eyes however, were focused on the one boy who approched her, never changing her gaze. In a voice still tinged by her gypsy roots, she called out to him. "Zo you're saying that by ze being up zhere, i don't want thiz dance?" She gave a jump, voice rasied lourder. "Iz that what you all think?! Because we're not on ze stupid court and just want to dance that whatever we do must be condoning zit?!" She whipped her head down at the teen who talked to her, and started a new wave of spirit.

The crowd around her cheered in approval, happy to finally see one of the 'homecoming' beauties get dissed out by real girl, with a real issue. She threw her poster to an interested by-stander, before hopping off the carton to face the man who dare stop her protest. Black eyes were focsued on him, hair wild from her chating and the wind, her bronze skin a respectable contrast to the pink hues of the sari. "Who are you to say good sir, that ze students of ze schools all vant to waste their time voting over who iz ze prettyiest or ze most beautiful." She crossed her arms, giving him an amused glance, one of astonishment. "Vat say you good zir?"

Scarlet woke with a thud. Living in this house, pracitally by herself besides her maids she walked down stairs in a pair of dark skinny jeans and a American Eagle shirt. Smiling at the new day she began singing her favorite song while walking to school. Walking down to school was usually a bore until she turned the corner.

"James!!" She threw herself at him. "Geez rosey, I didn't know you missed me that much." He smirked. She laughed. "Well i missed you that much. Now what are you doing here?" She ran her fingers thru her hair.... They talked for a while and time seemed to pass by. She hugged him and waved goodbye. "James you can hang out at the house, got school." and with that she turned to continue to school. Scarlet finally made it. She closed her eyes for a good 2 minutes to soak up the moment.

Smiling in on her way, she found out that not much people were so nice. She put on her best straight face and walked to her first class. She noticed a few people but, was all not used to this. She was used to private lessons, and less people. She sighed. Hearing the bell ring for the end of school she walked out to the hall to see a few people making conversations. On her left she saw a boy and a girl talking. The boy was definetaly handsome and the girl was pretty. She turned to her right and saw another couple talking. She seemed not to show that she didn't like be alone or anything of some sort of that so she walked to a tree to sit down./align]

For a moment he didn't think she would want to go most was likely a ride home. She really seemed more of the 'read a adventure though a book' kind of girl not that was a full bad thing but it did loose a lot of excitement though life, at least in his eyes it did. Really he had no idea if he couldn't do something interesting or fun at least once in a few days. Yes, it was rather hard but one could find adventure if they looked hard enough. Rather interesting person like most but people had to get to know them to really find out something like that. Maybe a small part of him liked this small town because of that but then the other part he wanted more to life then just sitting back and watching the world pass around him. Adventure really was his calling that or doing something that made people smile.

His eyes blinked a few times when she finally answered and she asked where the place was. Maybe there was hope for people for breaking out of their shell and checking out life. "Rather hard to explain where it is I'll just show you." He said as he turned around popping the back opened and producing a helmet and held it out towards her a smile against his lips. Never could be too safe sixty miles per hour the little bike could get up too. "Here you go. Never could be to safe even on this little baby." Unlike people he rather use this thing to get around much more fun then bikes and cars. Unless you counted walking but his legs could only last for so long he wasn't the most 'athletic' male out there.

"Are you a shy person or are you one of those people that is just quiet by nature?" He asked as he tilted his head slightly as he started to put his own helmet on once she took the one he gave her. Yep, he wasn't used to all this quietness around people. Yet, again he seemed to stay in his own circle to so he was used to his friends. "Not that it bothers me at all just rare to see people so quiet." He couldn't help but smile a little bit as he finished strapping it on. "Need any help?" Yuan couldn't help but ask waiting for an answer before he tried to help the girl.

Xenevia giggled the whole time when Kung Woo had joked around about their manager. Then she giggled even louder when she found out that he slept through most of his class. Xenevia was rather amazed at how a person can sleep for so long. She actually even wondered if sleeping was Kung Woo’s hobby. When she saw Kung Woo’s reaction about asking Ashelin out to homecoming, she began to rethink if he really does like Ashelin. Xenevia frowned a little and decided not to question him. However, she was caught off guard when he bolted out of the shop and said that he was going to ask Ashelin out. Xenevia chuckled and just shook her head, that boy was the most random person she has ever met. Her relationship with Kung Woo was rather nice, he was the first guy that didn’t flirt with her and in a way she was happy about it. Xenevia wanted to be friends with someone before dating them. She actually couldn’t understand why people would just start dating just because they are attracted to each other. Whatever happened to getting to know one another and letting that relationship grow? Raging hormones seem to always get in the way and plus being young didn’t help either. Xenevia stood from the ground and picked up the broom and continued on sweeping the floor.
User Image

She began to think if anyone was going to ask her to homecoming but if not she’ll most likely go alone. Xenevia enjoyed shopping for a dress and dolling herself up and who knows maybe she can meet new people at the dance. Xenevia moved out of the greenhouse and back into the main area of the shop. She looked at the vintage clock once again and saw that it was time to close, so she approached the door and turned the open sign to close and locked the door. She looked around the shop to see if anything else needed to be clean. Seeing that the shop was in top shape, she entered the back room and found her boss counting the money. “Is there anything else you need me to do? I’ve cleaned the shop already” she said and feeling slightly tired. Her boss simply said no and told her to go home. Xenevia smiled and picked up her backpack and headed out the store. It was still too early to go home so Xenevia just started walk towards nowhere in particular. Though being perfectly honest, Xenevia had no intensions on going home early anyway.

The sun was still in the sky but slowly setting. Xenevia walked down the streets enjoying the sights and sound of the small town. Though she finally realized that she had never really been around town, she had only moved there a couple of months ago. So since it was still early, she decided on trying to familiarize herself with the town and hopes that she won’t get lost in the process. Xenevia passed by different shops as she made her journey around the town, some were small shops and others were large shopping centers like a Wal-Mart she just passed by. She had never seen a shopping center so huge in her life, not even Italy had a shopping center that big. Xenevia walked over to the large building to investigate. She entered through the sliding doors and was immediately overwhelmed by all the things inside the large building. Her mouth was slightly open as she walked around and sadly she wasn’t looking where she was going and accidentally bumped into someone. “Oh my goodness I’m so sorry!!” she exclaimed and feeling slightly embarrassed. The fair skinned woman was now glowing a shade of red, she couldn’t believe how clumsy she was.

Xenevia actually recognized the male from school but she didn’t really know his name. He was well built and very handsome. Xenevia then noticed a bag that fell from his hand and immediately bent over to pick it up, “I’m so sorry, I hope nothing is damaged in there I’ll pay for it if I have to” she said feeling extremely bad for bumping into him.

Alexander gave a glance over his shoulder to see the girl already checking the next person out and let a bored sigh escape his lips. He really had nothing else to do, his friends well he really didn't have friends. He rather look out for himself then worry about others when it came to the part. There was people he talked to here and there but he couldn't hardly call them friends unless you want to counted his cat name Apollo. A small part of it was sad if they saw it for themselves but he was happy over all no reason to deal with the hassle as he saw it. Girls was another story flirting never really hurt anything and if more came out of it well that was just better.

A random laugh escaped his lips as he headed towards the door to let him out. A few people looked at him as he only raised his eyebrow and they moved on. People was rather nosy with people laugh out loud for no good reason he knew what they thought he saw that part from his mothers friends his nose scrunched up at the thought of them. He pushed the cart though the doors as a bag he was also carrying as it was bread and sweets he would stash in his room ran right into the girl that was standing there. "s**t." He muttered squatting as he saw the girl picking them up his eyes blinked a few times. "Don't worry about it. Nothing of it is important as it is." It really was true plus nothing really got harmed unless it was the bread but his parents could deal with a bit of squished bread. "I didn't do that did I?" His hand stopped picking up the stuff an putting it in the back as his hand moved it towards the red spot on her arm. They stuff was barely heavy and it left a arm like that on her arm. "More like I should be worried about you I so didn't see you just standing there." This was the sweet and charming part of him people got to see once in a blue moon. More like he acted like this when eh was helping someone out or doing a 'good deed' as he liked to say.

Xenevia looked at her arm and noticed a red mark. She twisted her arm a little more to see it more clearly and poked it with her other hand. She let out a small hiss in pain and merely shook her head, “oh it’ll be fine nothing really serious” she said with a smile on her face. “Actually it was my fault, I wasn’t watching where I was going and I just bumped into you” she explained then continued on talking “it’s just I’ve never seen a shopping center like this before, I’m actually not from here” she said while her eyes wandered elsewhere. There were so many people going in and out of the store and others seem to be shopping for a lot of material goods. Xenevia then focused on the male, she extended a hand and introduced herself, “I’m Xenevia by the way.” She then took the bag from his hand and started walking out of the store, “here let me help you with that, it’s the only thing I can do for bumping into you” she said as they walked down the concrete pavement.
User Image

Since there was a bit of silence between them, Xenevia decided to try and stir a conversation with him. “You’re from school right? I think I have a class with you” her voice now calm and sweet. “I don’t mean to be nosy but are you going to homecoming? Have you asked anyone yet?” she asked out of curiosity. Xenevia wasn’t hinting at asking him, she was just merely trying to start a conversation but hopes that he didn’t take it in a different direction. “Are you from here?” she asked and if he was she would most likely ask him to take her around the town, that’s if he didn’t mind of course. “The reason why I’m asking is because I don’t really know my way around this town and it would be nice to have some kind of tour guide” she said sheepishly.
