A start of a new school year in a brand new school.
Nah, you didn't move and decide to attend.
Tch, if it were that simple, there would be no story, right?

Right.

Each and every one of you were hand picked.
Because of that one special talent.
You weren't born human, (if that wasn't obvious already.)
Your powers made you different from the rest,
You stood out like a sore thumb.
People knew you were... weird.

Students piled in, quickly getting to their rooms to drop off their luggage.
That's when the sound caught everyone's attention.
A huge clang! and the front gates were shut.

The voice soon rang out through the speakers,
"Good afternoon students! Welcome. I hope you enjoy it here, because, sorry to say, this will probably be the only highlight of your year."

A soft chuckle echoed through the halls.

"That is, if you last that long."
"See here, I'm sorry to have deceived you all, but this isn't any normal high school. Here at Kisame, we play the games, and you are the pieces. I suggest you stay on alert because the Tainted have been added to play along with you."

The sky turned black, even though the clocks read noon.
Electricity then flickered out, leaving everyone in the dark.
High pitched screams erupted in every direction. Was it of fear? Or was it something else roaming the halls?

"Don't let them catch hold of you, because then, it's a lot more difficult in winning this little game of ours."
"Here are some tips to help you out. Food is located on the first floor, between the West Wing and the East Wing. There, meals will be supplied, but only once every Monday, and in small portions. I suggest you go there first to stock up or else, you'll be going a week without food and I promise you, that will not help your chances in success."
"All classrooms and dorms will be unlocked and everything inside are open for the taking. However, if you do sleep, don't assume you're safe. Anything goes here. After all, this is a fight to the death."

"Ah, the goal of this game you ask? It's simple. Defeat all the Tainted, or defeat all the 'students'. Either way, be the last one standing, and you'll be released. That goes for Tainted as well.

here's a summary of the plot.

Students vs. Tainted, fighting to the death in a school they can't leave unless they're the last one standing. When students are killed, they become a Tainted, when a Tainted is killed, that's it, they're gone. Students can kill students. Tainted can kill Tainted. Students can kill Tainted. and vice-versa. The last one alive (whether it be a Tainted or a Student) gets to leave the school with their life.

rules

1. Follow the tos
2. No god modding, everyones character will get hurt. This is an 'action' rp after all.
3. Characters will be killed off. though, ask the other person before killing.
4. Gore is fine, relationships are fine, but keep it under control
(I don't want details about how a body explodes into chunks. I also don't want to hear what goes on under the covers. Okay? Okay.)
5. Use " " for talking. Italicize for thoughts. Use (( )) or [ ] for OOC.
6. Keep it semi-literate. At least two/three decent sized paragraphs. Absolutely no one liners.
7. My word is law.
8. Rules are subject to change.
9. Do not post profiles/reserves here, PM reservations titled with your character's name. PM profiles titled: Kisame.
10. Do not use yellows or cyans, or overly bright colors in posting layout. Main text must be between 9 - 10 sized font. Anything else is too small, or too big.
11. All character pictures must be anime. (Not overly used ones!)
12. If anyone would like to contribute more ideas to this roleplay, feel free to PM me! ^^
13. The Ice Singer is second in command. She will be helping me make sure rules are followed and everything stays under control.
14. Members of this roleplay must try to post at least once every two/three days! I realize that everyone has a life outside of Gaia, but this is to make sure this roleplay doesn't die! If you are going on a trip, feel free to notify me, as well as the people interacting with your character so we can move on without you. If you cannot post once within at MOST a week (and have not notified me.) you have a chance of your character being terminated.

the tainted

These were gifted students just like you. They look completely normal except for their skin is tinted a light shade of grey. It is often hard to distinguish between students and the Tainted.
They eat, and feel pain, and are basically human except for their skin and they're one step closer to death. They dislike light, however it is far from deadly to them. It just makes them uncomfortable and they tend to avoid it.

They lurk in the hallways and their main goal is to wipe out the students.
Their fighting styles vary, since they usually keep their powers from before death.

Some aren't as willing to kill off students, but it is rare.
Their goal is the same as yours.
If a Tainted is the last one standing, they are changed back into a Gifted and can leave the school.

setting

The school is a two story building separated into two wings, with a cafeteria located in the middle on the first floor.
Dorms are located on the second floor of each wing. Classrooms are located on both the first and second floor.
Dorms have two beds, and one bathroom each. Plumbing does work, so you do have water at your disposal.
Electricity has died out all together, which means, everything is not working.
Lights, heat, etc.
Cell phones and iPods/MP3 players have also been hacked, making them completely useless.
Candles are located in every room on top of the dressers.
Finding a match, or some sort of flame, is your problem.

The sky is a faded grey, but there is just enough light to be able to see around.
The sun is no where in sight and the campus is cold.
Night and day look pretty similar.
This is to help the Tainted have a fair chance in this game.

Food supplied in the cafeteria is never warm. No people are making the food, it always just seems to appear there on Mondays.
Five small trays are all that is provided. Expect some competition between both Gifted and Tainted.
