Iacet turned around suddenly, startling from the sudden noise that came from right behind him with a spontaneous unexpectedness. He glanced sharply up from his thoughts as he did so, wings automatically flurrying into his full wingspan.
But what met his alarmed gaze was something, someone, far from threatening. There stood a purple-haired boy, head tilted in a gesture of curiosity, though his tone was far from readable.

Iacet's surprised expression quickly softened to embarrassed relief, skin flushing with a pale pink across the bridge of his nose and tips of his pointed ears, a small, nervous sort of smile flickering onto his lips with a sheepish glow.
"O-oh, I, uh,... s-suppose you saw that, huh." He admitted, shifting his weight awkwardly as he bit his lower lip.
He wasn't entirely sure if telling the guy that it was certainly not the first, nor the last, pillar he had walked into was going to reassure or alarm him.

"I mean, I-I'm okay, though! R-relatively." He offered, smile growing with a nervous sort of eagerness, trying his best to reassure the stranger that he wasn't about to keel over.
He didn't feel as though he had a concussion, anyway. Symptoms were already listing through his head like credits scrolling across a technicolor screen, and none of them corresponded to any abnormalities that he experienced. In fact, the only abnormalities he could possibly list was perhaps an elevated heartbeat and sweaty palms, but that was always an unfortunate consequence of meeting new people, he supposed. Though this person was quite unlike other person, in a still people-like personal people way. He couldn't exactly name it just yet, so he imagined he may as well introduce himself. It wasn't as though he could particularly mess it up more than having his first impression be a spectacular performance of running into inanimate objects. Stellar, really.

He mustered up the courage, taking a moment or two just to be able to calm his heart-rate back down to something manageable that didn't highly resemble something akin to a train derailing rapidly.
"My name's Iacet! W-well, um, my full name's t-technically, uh, Iacet Ianto I-Illiadio, b-b-but people tend to, kinda, well-- sorta mess it up a lot, which I don't particularly mind, i-it's understandable, r-really, if one were to take into account the crossed wires within specific sections of the brain that dictate speech patterns and recognition within individual syllables, a-and, uh, well, not to say, of course, that one's specific brain could possibly dictate such a vast collection of smaller influences found within that specific sphere, really, which in itself could, actually, provide a sort of hypothesis for the mispronunciation itself, if-- " He froze in his gestures as he trailed off abruptly, realizing that it was actually rather-- ""O-offtopic, right. S-sorry!!"
The light pink that had begun its slow fade blossomed again into a pastel red across his pale skin as he inhaled sharply, pushing up his glasses quickly and holding his breath for a second to relocate wherever his original thoughts had lain before he had gone off on yet another tangent.

                    Oh! Introductions! Right!
He tried again, wings fluttering nervously behind him.
""I-i'm, uh, a senior, b-but,... i-i'm also sorta-kinda new h-here--" he cast a quick glance to his watch, before helpfully adding, """by, like, 07 hours, 31 minutes.". He fidgeted a bit nervously as he abruptly interjected self-consciously, """G-give or take a couple seconds, of course!!!", finishing with a helplessly hopeful sort of look, wishing he didn't sound as strange as he felt. He could swear he was a fish out of water, a fae out of forest, desperate for some source of familiarity or comfort. Iacet probably looked it, too, huffing a strand of black hair out of his field of vision with a distracted puff, fingers barely visible from out of the sweatervests long sleeves as he falteringly reached for his glasses to wipe away a fingerprint he hadnt realized was on there from just moments before.
He placed the glasses haphazardly back on his face, rather content that they weren't affected by his quick acquaintance with a stone pillar, only realizing they were slightly crooked after a minute or two with a vaguely confused squint of metallic silver eyes before he hesitated and fixed it with an absent-minded touch to even out the angle it sat on his nose, blinking rapidly as his eyesight focused fully in on the classmate before him.

Having a habit of going to bed far into the early mornings, understandably, Nolan was not one to wake up early. So when his alarm at seven o’clock went off he barely even noticed it, in fact, he simply rolled over to mindlessly swipe the phone’s alarm away. The cellular phone did not make another effort to wake the young man again, as its snooze option had been disabled long ago. Returning to slumber, falling into the depths of his mind Nolan was transported back to dreamland. He was not concerned on what time it was, his only focus was on his own dreams wherever they might have taken him. The ghoul’s original plan was to wake up early enough to be able to have breakfast in the cafeteria, but not even the thought of food could wake him. Instead it was another tune that suddenly rang in his ears and though he did his best to ignore the horrible sound eventually he could no longer stand its shrill cry. Unlike other numbers that inhabited his phone, which had been given specialized ringtones, this caller was not deemed worthy enough it seemed. Instead the ringtone was a generic one that came with the phone, most likely the one set to default.

Having had enough the ghoul, still in a sleepy state, snatched the phone off the end table simultaneously ripping it from the charger that stayed plugged into the wall. Without a command from his still tired mind his thumb instinctively touched the correct icon on the phones touch screen to finally answer it, "Hmm...?" he groaned into the phone, not having enough energy to even utter a greeting. Honestly he didn't understand who was calling him and for what reason, he was starting to get a little ticked off and it would be no surprise that he'd be in a bad mood all day because of this. Nolan didn't have serious anger issues, but like any normal person he didn't enjoy being woken up so rudely. The sudden annoyance disappeared when he heard his father's calm and deep voice rumble through the phone, "Hey. Your mom wanted me to ca-,"

Not being one to express his feelings through his speech or through any way for that matter, Mr. Belzarius' tone was emotionless. His wife, on the other hand, easily allowed her thoughts to be heard with constant yelling. It was her voice that had interrupted her dear husband's explanation to their son about their call or rather the call that he had been forced to make, "Well? Was he asleep?!" Her voice was even more irritating than the ringtone that had berated the young man's ears earlier and Nolan had to bite his lip so he wouldn't allow a swear word to slip through his teeth. Though an assumption made by his father it really was an easy guess at what Nolan was doing only moments before he answered the phone, there was only one in a million chance that the ghoul hadn't been sleeping. So without much thought the older man answered his darling wife very easily, "Yeah."

There was a good amount of shuffling noise that came from the other side of the phone and it caused the Nolan to scowl, holding the phone at a further distance from his ear, "Oh goodness, give me the phone! his mother's voice came through fairly muffled, he could only guess that his fair featured, but muscular mother had grabbed the phone out of his father's behemoth hand, "Nolan?" His mother did not express concern as she said her son's name and though she had a stern and demanding voice there was still hints of her love for her little boy. Mentally preparing himself for the lecture that was about to begin the young man stayed quiet deciding it was just better to let her rant all she wanted. His silence only seemed to infuriate his mother and her sudden speech began, "Nolan Belzarius!" Like all mother's his own followed the cliché of saying their child's full name when they wanted to get their attention, "We did not send you to this school so that you could be late on your first day! You better get your butt out of bed and to the assembly NOW!"

Really, Nolan would have to congratulate his mother later for hesitating long enough to allow him to speak. She must have been in a good mood until she realized what would be the inevitable for her son, "Mom, how do you even know I am going to be late? And anyway what time is it over there? the young ghoul questioned, his still maturing voice sounding just as emotionless as his father's had. Still he didn't expect his mother to calm herself down so quickly, it just wasn't in her hot-tempered nature, "That is none of your concern! Shouldn't you be more worried about what time it is where you are?" Her reminder made Nolan panic for a split second, he pulled the phone away from his ear once more, this time to check the time. Seven thirty-five He thought to himself at the same time cussing under his breath, "Oh s**t!,"

It was a rare occasion but Nolan sprung from his bed and poked at the phone's screen, turning the phone to speaker mode. Though he wasn't entirely paying attention he could hear his mother beginning to speak once more, “That’s right, ‘Oh s**t’! If we get one and I mean just one letter about your misbehavior we will not hesitate to go over there! I mean it young man!" At this point he wasn't aware of anything but getting dressed, he didn't even notice if his roommate Subaru was in the dorm or not. Without moments hesitation he undressed and dressed himself right in front of his bed. Sure Constance-Tilden's dress code was in one of the several pamphlets he had received during orientation, but in all honesty Nolan hadn't even bothered to remember too much of it. His outfit consisted of a white button up shirt that he made no effort to tuck into his very casual pair of jeans, the far too large blue hoodie that was a part of his usual wear, and a very loosely tied tie that he had done himself. His mother had actually taught him how to tie a few days before he was sent off to the academy. It wasn't like his father didn't want to teach him or didn't know how to do it himself, his mother just sort of took over everything when it came to his family. The woman actually tied her husband's tie on a regular basis just so that he could have it just right.

After he was fully dressed Nolan was aware that his mother's voice was still echoing in the room, due to her constant yelling. He actually raised an eyebrow when she was suddenly cut off and an absurd amount of shuffling could be heard on the other end. It actually sounded like Nolan's father had grabbed his wife, simply because she had let out a sudden "yip" like sound. The older man was actually known to gently grab and pick up his wife, not only because he could, but because it was just about the only way to get her to calm down. For some reason being enveloped in her husband's protective arms made Mrs. Belzarius feel secure and protected. Much to Nolan's disgust the two of them often were seen cuddling on the couch at home, it was a great way for the two of them to relax, but the young man preferred they didn't do it in public spaces. The ghoul's giant of a father must have been able to pry the cellular phone away from the woman as his strong voice was finally heard again, "Your mom and I love you." Hearing his father say such words out in the public space of his dorm room embarrassed Nolan and he quickly turned speaker mode off and returned the device to his ear. Though he could still hear his mom trying to lecture him Nolan could only smile, his parents sure were... well a special pair, "Yeah, I know, Dad. Thanks." The two men did not need to say an official good-bye and soon after the call ended. Finally.

Still, Nolan couldn't just hang around the room any longer, he was wasting time he didn't have! It was unbelievable that ten minutes had already passed since he was woken up by his parent's call. Naturally, in his laziness, Nolan had not even thought about taking a shower that morning and as for his hair, well, those light gray locks never wanted to obey the orders of a comb anyway! Focusing on more important things Nolan went over his mental checklist of gear that he'd need to survive each and every day of his new school life. Wallet, a not so top-of-the-line smart phone, and dorm room keys were obvious necessities, but he also needed to make sure to pick up his headphones (which glowed a wonderful blue in the dark,) as well as the black XL 3DS. Though fairly minor on his list he also made sure to stuff the oversized pockets of his hoodie with a generous amount of snacks, he knew since he missed breakfast he'd probably really need these. Of course, how could he forget his beautiful pair of roller blades? Nolan did remember one thing about the dress code rules, that they had not made any specifications on the type of footwear that was not acceptable. Being a freshman, the ghoul would be able to bend and question some of the rules for awhile, why not start on the very first day?

Before finally leaving his shared room Nolan grabbed a drink from the mini fridge he had brought to the academy with him as well as his pair of red All Star converse shoes. He was very much capable of rolling his way out of the dorm and around or through any obstacles that came towards him. He was lazily making his way to the auditorium, accepting that even if he tried to skate there as fast as he could he was going to be late. Finally arriving at the correct destination ten minutes late he was the very last person enter the area. Of course his progression was stopped by the attendant who had been standing in front of the entryway door. Being the freshman that he was the young man was only scolded by the adult and forced to change into his shoes and keep his blades tied up and slung over one shoulder. Even though he had attempted to convince the elder that it stated in the dress code rules that they were allowed to wear whatever footwear they wanted, surely that did not exclude roller blades! Not only that he was told to throw away half a can of a perfectly good drink! I mean the nerve of some people, it wasn't like he was going to spill it or anything.

To his annoyance and embarrassment he was escorted to an empty seat near the front of the auditorium where several other freshmen sat all of them looking both terrified of everything and yet simultaneously in awe of it all. Through the long and very boring speech of the headmaster of Constance-Tilden, the ghoul actually attempted to play a video game on his 3DS but he kept getting weird looks at some of the staff members so he thought it best to just put it away, not wanting the device to be confiscated. At the very end of the blond vampire's speech Nolan was beginning to nod off, but his attention was suddenly snapped back to reality as the beautiful school nurse stepped up to the podium. He along with most of the boys in the room hung on her every word and though he hadn't really read the student handbook prior to that moment, he was fairly sure he would be able to repeat everything she said. Welp, looks like I'm not going to go visit the nurse. the boy thought, already knowing he wouldn't have the courage to talk with her let alone tell her about any medical related problem he had. That woman's appearance had been more than enough to help the ghoul survive the rest of the assembly and before he knew it they were released for lunch.

                                                                                12 PM

Leaving the auditorium with the rest of the student body Nolan had it in mind to continue to follow crowd to the cafeteria. The only problem was, a majestic head of plum colored hair caught his attention, the owner of such a unique color and a brunette breaking off from their usual group. The group was easily recognizable by any stupid or new student at Constance-Tilden, it was the bunch of pretty girls known as the Lady Bugs. Nolan would have instinctively gone in the other direction of the group, simply because of his large fear of girls and a gang of them was nothing to laugh at. They were sophisticated, beautiful, strong, and in all honesty very intimidating to such a reserved young man. The one and only Lady Bug he wasn't completely afraid of was Dali. So when she broke off from the rest of the group with, Chrys, known to Nolan as her best girl friend, the young man couldn't help but be curious and a bit worried about what was happening. It wasn't like he was going to approach the two of them and flat out ask what was going on! No, in fact he made sure to still keep his distance from them, so as not to eavesdrop, but also be in a place where Dali could see him if she wanted to. For now he was going to sit himself down maybe eat some of his snacks and all in all just zone out. Nolan felt like after all that rushing around and he deserved a little peace and quiet. It was only then that he realized he smelled worse than a dead skunk. Yup, that's right. He'd forgotten do douse himself in a generous amount of cologne. The ghoul was definitely going to be able to have that time to himself, seriously, who would want to hang around someone that smelled like a rotting corpse? Crows and crazy people, okay?

*LOCATION & TIME █⋮Dorm Room (7-7:45)//Auditorium (8:10-12)//Outside (12-???) tab *COMPANY █⋮Subaru(?)//Everyone//Alone (Near Dali and Chrys) tab *OOC █⋮I assumed that the exit to the auditorium led outside.... When the mystery student turned around, he was surprised to see that his eyes were silver. Not that it was the strangest thing he'd ever seen, but staring into pool of molten metal wasn't exactly what he had expected. He took the opportunity to look him up and down, only barely hearing his nervous stuttering. He was cute, maybe the trip to his dorm wasn't as much of a waste of time as he expected. The realization of his aesthetic appeal clicked in his mind and switched Constant over to an almost predatory state of mind, his fingers itching to reach out and run through his hair, to caress his rosy and blushing cheeks, to- wait, he was getting ahead of himself. The first step to charming your way into anyone's pants was to actually open your mouth and speak, not just eye them like a piece of candy you're dying to unwrap. "Are you sure? I could take you to the nurse, or maybe... Your dorm." yes, good Constant, get him alone in a room with a bed. Perfect. He was pleased with himself, prematurely albeit considering there were many things that could go wrong with this scenario such as his roommate being present, or even this new student actually taking up his offer on going to the nurse. '...I should have led with the dorm.' he noted, stashing away the information for next time. Learn from your mistakes, after all. Still... By the stuttering and embarrassment it seemed like it'd be pretty easy to get under his skin, which was Constant's favorite kind of person. His mind was already filling with dirty things, most of which surprisingly tame from what usually ran through his mind. Maybe it was his soft spot speaking, but it almost seemed despicable to think things too vulgar about the boy who talked to pillars...

...Who was apparently more skilled in social etiquette than Constant. He had taken it upon himself to begin introductions, which was usually Constant's job since he was supposed to be the smooth talker here. He had gotten so wrapped up in his mind that he had totally forgotten to introduce himself and was just staring at the new kid thinking oddly tame yet pervy things. But he may have spoken about that etiquette thing a little too soon, because this introduction was nothing like he thought it was going to be. He expected him to stop after his name but... He just kept going. What was he even talking about now? The speech part of the brain, apparently. Blankly staring at the fairy who called himself Iacet, he was only barely following his train of thought as he went on. He just kept going and going, it was impressive really that he had managed to pull so many words out of something as simple as an introduction, and as he watched him talk there was a weird flutter in his chest that caused him to shift uncomfortably, 'W-what is this...?' he seemed alarmed as his cheeks grew warmer, though chances were it didn't register properly on his face. Then, all at once the talking stopped, and an apology was offered for the off topic chatter. Honestly, Constant had forgotten what they were talking about before, having been so focused on following along with his tangent. Constant was no idiot, but he wasn't expecting all those big words to be thrown in there and he definitely needed to pay a little extra attention to keep up with him. This kid was a serious nerd, that much was apparent right off the bat. In fact, Constant didn't think he could remember meeting anyone quite so nerdy before, it was almost kind of... Cute?

All of a sudden, his desire to seduce him seemed to diminish. The change of heart was a little annoying, and caused Constant to frown as he didn't quite understand why. Why did he feel weird? Tch, he must have been getting hungry, or maybe he was really overdue a nap. Whatever it was, he stopped caring as soon as he heard Iacet mention he was a senior. Finally his expression changed, his eyebrows raising a little in surprise. "You're a senior?" he looked so... Young. Constant had assumed he would have been a freshman, or a sophomore at the oldest, but a senior? Not only that, but he was impressed at him knowing how long he'd been there down to the minute... Did he have a computer as a brain or something? Shaking his head, his expression returned to normal with the exception of a faint, almost invisible smile curving the corners of his lips, it was meant to be warm, but who knows if it really turned out that way. "Welcome to Constance-Tilden Academy, Iacet." he said, leaning down for a slight bow before straightening to his previous slouch. "I'm Constant. Well, my full name is technically Constant Demetri Faust." he said, mocking Iacet's less than graceful introduction, the smile on his face growing more visible before fading out altogether.

It was about that time that he decided Iacet was going to be his friend. Looking him up and down again, he watched while Iacet fumbled with his glasses only to put them back on his face crooked. A smile threatened to break his aloof expression, but it was interrupted by that weird flutter again. Gross. Combing his fingers through his deep amethyst locks yet again, Constant realized that a good way to claim him as him friend would be to show him around, people usually stuck to the first person who's nice to them in new places, right? "Ah, you're new here, that's right." he began, stuffing his hand back into his pocket, "I'd be happy to show you around, if you want." his voice was nonchalant, but he was hopeful that his offer wouldn't be denied. He had almost completely forgotten his previous quest for his wallet, but that didn't seem quite as important now that he had something else to occupy his time. Iacet being new meant he also probably hadn't heard any rumors about him yet, which was a strangely freeing feeling. Actually, it occurred to him that Iacet didn't even know who he was, or anything about the Aristo Cats or Lady Bugs. He would have worried about it, but considering he just apologized to what was essentially a giant rock gave him the impression that he wasn't one to step on anyone's toes. Besides, it wasn't that important anyway.

Just in case his previous offer fell through... "It's lunch time right now, I could take you to the cafeteria if you don't know where it is." did he sound desperate? No, just welcoming. Right? Right. He wasn't really used to seducing people for friendship, so this was a little new and foreign to him. Still, how much harder could it really be? But then he remembered his original quest, and a light bulb flicked on in his head, "That's right... I forgot my wallet in my room..." he murmured quietly to himself. Ah, well. There was nothing wrong with a little side mission here and there.

What a jungle!

She felt so alive, so fast, so dangerous. She wasn't Myra anymore, she was a cold blooded killer. No more was she the meek, quiet Myra who liked dresses and pretty pictures. Now she was the hunter. Beautiful, clever, and dangerous. Everyone else was meek! Everyone else was the prey! Even now, she could smell everything, and hear everything that moved in the vast jungle. If you so much as breathed, or even trembled, Myra would be upon you. Some would call this a strange dream, but it was the normal journey that her mind cycled through each night. It was her body's way of reminding her just what she was. A Lamia, one of the biggest baddest predators to inhabit this earth. Though her own natural instincts told her this, her own heart told her she couldn't hurt a fly. That it was her nature to follow, to keep quiet, and run from danger. Maybe that's why she liked to dream. It meant not having to take crap from anyone. She was the bully.

As she crept among the trees, her narrow violet eyes locked on someone. Unwary prey, a lone ox. It'd make a big dinner. Her mouth watered at the thought. She coiled up as tight as she could, moving quietly. Her muscles tense, she hissed, thumping her tail against the branch. The ox, curious, looked up. She sprang, flying at the beast with remarkable grace and speed. Just before she made the kill though, reality had to stick it's head in her dark paradise. She awoke, violet eyes springing to life along with the rest of her body. She launched out of bed, and around the warm mass that decided to wake her up. They hit the floor with a loud thump.

Her tail coiled tighter and tighter around the creature, she could hear him groaning beneath her weight, as she squeezed the breath out of him. Suddenly, the shape changed, and now a... ferret was beneath her, in boxers, jeans, and a t-shirt? It was a hilarious sight, seeing the creature struggle around in oversized clothes. So hilarious, that she suddenly giggled. It was Jon! "Jonathan! You look so cute right now!" she chuckled though the boy said nothing. Her smile faded, and was replaced by a blush, as she realized what she was doing to the poor boy. "Oh my god Jon are you okay?" She gasped releasing Jon, trying to embrace him with her arms, rather than a tail. Jon, of course, scurried out of her reach, and over to Lettie's side of the room with a shroud of boxers that managed to survive the change.

He shifted quickly, clad only in boxers. His back against the dresser, he was gasping for breath as he stared at Myra, looking rather flustered. "Jesus ******** Christ do you mind explaining that to me!?" He seemed a bit mad. "J-Jon I'm sorry, I didn't mean too! I was scared, and hungry, so I-"

"So what!? You were gonna eat me?"

"No! Ferrets are all bone and no meat! It was just reflex!"

"So you thought about it!? Well Jesus Christ, why don't I roll myself in this carpet, and you can have a nice Jonathan quesadilla." He was being a bit ridiculous right now, but the boy was trying to catch his breath, all the while feeling as though someone had wrung him like a towel. Jon stared at her, while she stared away. "What?"

"You're naked!"

"I don't give a tuppeny ********! You were about to eat me!"

"Was not!" She bit back. Clenching her fists, she tried to shake away the blush, and stare at her friend with evil eyes. Myra huffed, her tail thumping against the large bed. Her tail was her pride and joy. She took great care in making sure it was silky smooth, and shiny. She loved the color of her scales, a creamy white with shades of violet and black striped about it. The tip of the tail curled, and hooked up the clothes in its careful loop so that she could throw them at the boy. "Look uh, if you don't tell anyone about this, I'll throw a good word in with Lettie about how sweet and generous you can be when you actually try." Jon seemed to perk up at this, but then decided to play cool guy. Typical. "Look, I won't tell anyone about this. Not because of Lettie, but because I'm a great ******** guy like that." Myra rolled her eyes. She knew he wouldn't of told anyone, but it's great to have leverage.

Her tail hit a box on the floor. One that Jon had brought in. Puzzled, she bent down and picked it up. The package was light, and made no sound when shaken. Jon just looked at her. "Open it. I saw it on Amazon, and I figured you'd like it." She looked down, curious now. Her fingers tore off the tape, and let her inside. Finally, she touched fabric, and she knew what it was. Her fingers drew out the lilac dress slowly, the skirts ruffles giving it a bit of life. She loved it, even though it was sleeveless. "Jon, that was so nice of you! I love it!" She was visibly pleased. She would wear it soon, but not today. "Yeah well, there's a catch. You're gonna wear that on a date, with a boy." Myra stiffened. Oh no. So this was the b*****d's ultimatum! Clever little ferret. "You can't do that!" Jon just chuckled and waved a finger. "I can, and will."

"Will what?" She asked, perplexed since he hadn't said what he'd do. Jon opened his mouth, but then resigned. "Just get dressed so that we can go!" With that, he stepped back out into the hall. Weirdo. Despite the shenanigans of this morning, she felt great! Her first order of business was make-up. Lettie showed her how to use it recently, and discovered she had a particular need for it. She put on a small layer of black eyeliner to complement her long lashes, not wanting to overdo anything today. Slipping the elastic skirt that the school provided over her head and down her slender body, she then pulled on the school uniform. Another thing she hated about her tail. Skirts were a pain in the butt to get on and off.

Finally, she got her notepad and camera, which hung on a strap around her neck. Fully prepared, she slithered over to the door, and out the hallways, smiling at Jon. The two walked outside, finding Lettie rather easily. "Oi." Jon greeted Lettie. Myra herself just peeked around, seeing if there were any good pictures to be had.

XXXA pair of bright red eyes stared at the ceiling above their owner. His feet dangled off the edge of the bed, due to the mattresses they supplied being too short for the vampiric giant. He'd thought about using his power in the student council to buy new, larger beds for everyone, but there was no place in the budget for it. He only had to endure this annoyance for one more year. Strangely, he'd gotten used to it. Sleeping in his bed at home, one made perfectly for his long body, seemed weird this past summer. How he had managed to find a crappy bed like this more comfortable was a mystery.

XXXOliver Winchester let out a long sigh before kicking his legs around off the bed and forcing himself up. His crimson eyes landed on the body of his roommate. How did he manage to get stuck with a complete juvenile delinquent? He was sure he had put in to room with someone, but whomever it was, was blank in his mind. He needed to make more male friends it seemed. Or any friends that were beyond just a business relationship. He could count on one hand how many people he considered closer than an associate. In fact, he could count it on one finger. The only person he could truly be himself around.

XXXGenevieve was an enigma. She was the sweetest girl. So innocent in so many ways. And yet also the most perverted person he'd ever met. She was truly bizarre. But he loved her nonetheless. Far more than a brother should. "She's not your sister, she's a thrall. A slave. I only allow her because your mother thought her a pet." The words his father spat out replayed in his head. He clenched his fists. Oliver had no idea whether or not his precious sister had overheard the fight, but it wasn't as if she didn't have a clue their father felt that way. It had been obvious from the day she entered their family.

XXXHe understood now why his father had been so mad that day. If people found out the son of the Mortimer Winchester turned a human girl, there was bound to be an outrage. His father's best plan was far more foolish, though. If turning her was going to cause an outrage, clearly killing her after would only worsen the outcome. Adopting her was the best option. Oliver had to think his mother realized that. Which is why she decided to stand up for the girl. It saved their family, that was for sure. But his father's continuing attitude about the whole affair was disgusting. On more than one occasion, his father stressed to the people around him that Oliver was his only child. It was only going to cause questions when anyone saw Genevieve.

XXXThere was nothing the vampire could do about it though. His father would destroy himself. And then Oliver would stand up in the ashes and claim everything his father threw away for stubborn pride. It was only a matter of time. The president lifted himself from his bed, moving towards the bathroom. He needed to get ready quickly, if he wanted to eat breakfast today.

XXXThe problem with this school was some of the rules. Two in particular were ones that interfered with his daily life: no opposite genders in your dorm and no feeding off other students. While the first one was easier not to break, it did cause his breaking of the second all the more difficult. He saw nothing wrong with feeding from someone else if they were willing. The blood they had in packets in the vending machines always tasted so stale. It made him nearly vomit when he tried it. In fact, anyone's blood but one person's was disgusting to him. He had to wonder how he had managed to hate anyone's taste but hers. He was a vampire, anyone's blood should do. Perhaps he was just spoiled.

XXXIt didn't change the fact that now that Genevieve had been a student, it made drinking her blood during the school year all the more difficult. The two years she hadn't been there, she would simply mail him packets. While it was never as delicious as fresh blood, it did the trick. Now, they had to get creative.

XXXHe quickly showered, dried off, brushed his teeth and all the other things he needed to do to prepare for the day. His uniform was put on in perfect fashion, all except for his tie. He never could do it right. For now, he took it off. He was about to see his sister anyway. She could help with that. Oliver grabbed everything that he would need for the day and slipped out the door. It was still fairly early in the day. About 6 am now. He'd have a little less than two hours, plenty of time.

XXXThere was a spot between the gymnasium and the sports fields that was pretty hidden away. He wasn't even sure how many people knew about it. There were probably some couples that used the spot for a private moment, which caused some bile to rise in his throat. But the spot was perfect for moments when the siblings needed to break the rules.

XXXHe stood waiting, careful not to touch any surfaces. The vampire glanced at his watch every few minutes, wondering where on earth his sister could be. If anyone caught him back here, it was going to be a pain to explain away. He couldn't tell the truth. The automatic assumption would be that he was back there for some private time with a girl. Then if Genevieve showed up. The fallout would be hell.

XXXFootsteps rang out and he looked to the source. The sight of her curly blond head in front of him allowed him to relax. "You're late," he hummed in his smooth English accent with a smile. Her excuse of being late seemed like a lie, but he choose not to push further. More than likely, she'd found some 'new toy' to play with and forgot about him. He pulled the tie out of his pocket, handing it to the girl. "First, can you help me with this?" he asked, bending over so his neck was closer to her. She was so tiny compared to him. He was sure there were jokes among the student body about their giant president and his midget sister. There had to be assumptions that he took after their father and her, their mother. While, yes, Oliver did look like the splitting image of their father, Genevieve looked nothing like their mother. She had been tall, for a woman, with straight, bright ginger hair and a curvaceous frame. If anyone cared enough, they could look into it and find out the truth. However, he doubted anyone would think to look at pictures of his parents unless they were utterly insane. If anything, they'd assume the girl was the product of an affair rather than a street child taken in after some unfortunate events.

XXXAs she finished working on his tie, he leaned forward, bringing his lips to her neck. With his hand, he slid her shirt's collar down her shoulder, for better access to his meal. As soon as her pale skin was exposed, his fangs dove in. The sweet taste of his sister's blood filled his mouth as he drank his fill. Oliver knew that his choice of where to drink was certainly the least logical. However, drinking from the neck was perhaps one of the most intimate choices. Her opinion on it didn't matter. He would drink as he pleased. He released the corner between her neck and her shoulder from his bite, licking his lips of any of her blood. "Thank you, Genevieve," he said as he stood up, "Will you be okay?" He always asked, knowing full well that blood loss wasn't really going to effect her like it would a human. It was also a disguised offer to give her his own blood. He felt nervous to ask out loud. Oliver feared the answer of it. He didn't want to think she didn't need him as much as he needed her.

XXXShe seemed completely annoyed with him, though. He couldn't understand why. It wasn't like this was new. They had been doing this for years. Perhaps something else had happened, and she was simply lashing out at him. That had to be the case. Genevieve wouldn't dare be bothered by him. As she ran off, he checked his watch. He had to wonder if she had enough time. If she didn't, it was her own fault for being so late, anyway. He waited a few minutes before venturing out of the spot. If anyone saw her leave, hopefully they had gotten bored with waiting to see who had been with her. With Genevieve, it wouldn't be as interesting to find out her latest lay. She'd probably gone through half the school already. If Oliver exited first, people were bound to get curious. He made a point of not dating. He even hacked that rumor site just to put something about charity work instead of whatever stupid thing it said about him.

XXXBriskly he walked to the auditorium. They were just opening the doors by the time he got there. He took a seat in the back, watching the crowds as they entered. As student body president, he made it his obligation to memorize faces and names. He didn't always get it right, but there were a lot of people to memorize. He nodded or waved to some if they noticed him looking. He couldn't help the scowl towards one person in particular. Axel Augustus was a thorn in his side. How he had managed to weasel his way into the council again was a mystery to the president. It was Oliver's final year and he had better things to deal with than that punk. He sighed as he watched his little sister burst in frantically. She wouldn't have had to rush if she had just been on time earlier.

XXXThe president leaned back as the lights dimmed and the assembly began. He always thought the student council president should speak at this thing. It might help some to pay attention to have someone their age talk to them. That, and it was great for his popularity. Of course, this year didn't matter as much. He couldn't run again, unless he planned to fail his classes. On the other hand, being the best president he could be was still his number one priority. He couldn't risk losing his spot. His father would not be pleased if he managed to mess up.

XXXDespite hearing these speeches for the fourth time now, he paid close attention. It was a game in his mind to note what they worded differently this year from the previous years or to try to see when they forgot what to say. This year, the game was as uninteresting as ever. No teachers drew a blank. How boring. He even found himself yawning by the end of it. Even though he couldn't wait to get out of there, he remained sitting as everyone else filed out. He didn't want to deal with the crowds. As he waited, he pulled out his cell and typed up a group text to all of the members of the student council: "After getting lunch, come to help organize the fair. Meet me by the fountain."

XXXHe debated sending it to Axel. He didn't want to deal with his antics yet. But if he didn't, he would just have more problems later for 'excluding him'. He let out a low groan as he clicked send. Honestly, they didn't have to come, as Oliver could handle it himself. However, it would just be easier to deal with so many people with a group and they could begin discussing the year ahead when they had time. It was also a test of loyalty: who would sacrifice their fun to help with work. He could already guess that Axel wouldn't. Or would come and try to start trouble. It'd be far less bothersome if he stayed away. Which meant that he probably wouldn't. That damnable pest.

XXXOliver stood from his seat and stretched. The crowd was gone and only a few students remained. Ignoring them, he headed for the exit. Due to his large breakfast, he didn't feel the need to grab lunch. In fact, this was a system that they had worked out. He would get breakfast and dinner, allowing Genevieve to spend the rest of her day as she pleased. As much as he hated letting her run around like she did, he couldn't stop her without causing suspicion. He wished he had never allowed her to make friends outside of him. Now, if he forced her to begin acting like he wanted, her friends were bound to notice. It would all come back to him and then he'd really have a problem on his hands. If her friends had been just normal members of the student body, he could cause them to disappear without notice. But they caused so much trouble with their 'girl gang' that most people would wonder what happened. Disposing of them wasn't an option.

XXXThe president put on his fake smile as he left the auditorium. He started the charade of being the kind leader of the student body. Waving and nodding as people passed. Giving the occasional greeting or answering that stupid question of how his summer was. It was horrible, as always. He spent the whole time being dragged around by his father as Genevieve was locked away in her ivory tower. Not that he would actually tell a soul that.

XXXEventually, he reached the fountain and sat on its edge. There were already some people sitting around to eat their lunch. He pulled out his phone and began messing around on it. He was only checking his emails and such, but he made it look like he was doing something important, so that no one would bother him unless absolutely necessary.

                                              JACENTY CHLEBEKXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                                              xxxxxXThe TigerXXXXXXX

It was six in the morning when Jacenty Chlebek stumbled off his own private jet, eyelids heavy and stomach churning. For hours he'd been aboard the jet, trying to will away the queasiness and get a little shut eye. The bags beneath his eyes were enough to confirm that he'd been unsuccessful in the latter, and his retching the former. Once on steady ground, it seemed he could stomach no more, and he, at last, spilled the contents of his stomach across the cement. The various attendants his father had assigned to him knew precisely how to handle the situation -- they had, after all, been forewarned; the young son of the Chlebek family found flying exceptionally taxing on his stomach, and had as equally hard a time on wheels. While he reveled in the freedom of climbing and free running, the teenage boy did not handle traveling by vehicle well, which was why -- aside from the mandatory trip at the beginning and end of school -- travel by such a manner was generally avoided. He had not been looking forward to the trip, to say the least, and now that he was off of the jet, he looked forward to the car ride even less.

Before he left home, his family had tried to ease the upcoming trip some, though he hadn't known it at the time. They had gorged on human flesh for three days prior to the beginning of the school year -- an unusual treat, though well received. The middle of his younger sisters, Hanna, had saved him the trouble of cutting his own hair, knowing full well that he would not allow unfamiliar hands near him. He'd been afforded all the pampering money could buy, from lavish meals to new clothes, electronics and even a bigger jet to help accommodate his fragile gut.

-- For all the good it did him.

Still yet to recover from his flight, Jacenty was shuffled into a sleek, black car and driven the rest of the way to Constance-Tilden Academy. When he arrived, he threw up whatever was left of his stomach, but stubbornly insisted on walking unassisted to his dormitory. He did, however, allow for his attendants to haul his luggage up for him, as if that somehow made up for some small measure of his suffering. The room was empty before he arrived. There was evidence of a roommate having been present not long ago, but once his attendants had set down his bags, they were gone, and he was truly alone. For that, he was glad -- it meant he had a few moments to gain his bearings and hopefully quell the churning in his belly.

He breathed a sigh, flopping onto his bed. His stomach was still sore, but now it was nearing eight in the morning, and he knew he would be expected in the auditorium, no matter how little he liked it. His luggage could wait -- his uniform had been crammed into a small bag with the rest of his supplies. Whoever had ironed the outfit earlier might have screamed at him had she or he seen the state it was in when he wrestled it from his bag. An entire summer without seeing the thing; only a summer, and the outfit was three sizes bigger than it had been the year before. He was pleased with his growth, -- he had been just shy of five feet when he left for the summer -- which may have assisted in whatever enthusiasm may have lead him to dressing in the first place, granted he left a good number of buttons undone, and looked as if he'd gotten bored of tucking his shirt in half way through; he didn't bother with a tie, nor a blazer or even shoes. By the time he'd pulled his slacks on, he'd already come to the conclusion that he was going to skip out on the assembly. It wasn't his style, and he figured he'd already gotten the gist of what the staff had to say.

After a long flight, what he needed -- what he truly needed -- was a cigarette and the open sky; not to be cooped up in some auditorium, surrounded by a bunch of hot, stinking bodies. Hence, he went searching for a pack of cigarettes next, fishing his smokes and lighter from his schoolbag before slipping out of dorm room. Jacenty was careful to be discreet, keeping his eye out for anyone who might be watching as he slipped into the stairwell, and then ascended to the rooftop -- his favourite place to sit and relax.

From there, he could lay back and watch the clouds roll by while he puffed on a cigarette or two -- he hoped that would settle his stomach enough that his tremendous appetite would win out over the queasiness, and maybe he could even go track down his friends afterwards.

tab Subaru was in his room, laying about early in the morning, he had gotten back from Japan a couple of days ago and visiting the girls grave, paying his respects to her, the girl he had shot, or was forced to shoot, by his own father, she had been getting too close to him and closer to the truth and she knew they were part of the yakuza, she hadn't threatened to tell the police, but her eyes told a different story, she was going to tell them, there wasn't much he could've done and he hated himself for what he had done. He didn't want to shoot the girl, but his father had forced his hand and since he was at a young age, he hated it even more. So as he woke up and got dressed in his school attire for the boys along with a blazer, his room mate, Nolan left not like a few minutes ago. His two different coloured eyes searched the dorm room for anything else he would need as he made his way down to the assembly hall. The trip didn't take as long as it would've been nice for it to have, but as a student council member, he couldn't really be a good role model if he was late to the first assembly of the year, Oliver would kill him if he did that and he really couldn't risk that. When he made it down to the assembly hall, he wasn't the last person there, nor was he the first person there, thank gosh. Oli wasn't going to rip his head off though he might get an earful about it later as he spotted the male vampire out in a sea of thousands of other students.

tab As he sat down, it took a few minutes before the lights dimmed and the students hushed down from all of the talking and awaited what the teachers were going to say and seeing that Suzaku really wasn't here meant that she was quarantined in her dorm. It was said that she slept with the Headmaster to get into this academy. His rumor? True, but did he really want to be the next head of the yakuza? That was still up in the air right now, this would be his fourth and final year of being on the student council. He had gotten four years worth of this talk as he sat near the back of the auditorium and listened to everything, not uttering a word during the whole thing. His eyes closed and rubbing the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath in and out, he let his mind slip back to when he had to shoot the girl.

'His father, big and muscular shoved the gun into his chest, those red eyes striking him in the chest. The girl he had fallen for, hog-tied and gagged as to not say anything. Tears brimming at the edge of her eyes but still giving that determined look about her that many would have fallen for.

"Happy birthday Subaru, your birthday present is to shoot her." His father said, his own face paling as he looked between the gun and the girl, she started shaking her head furiously, the guards next to her kicked her once each to shut her up.

"Stop!" He said, running over to the girl, his tails out and ears as well, moving over the girls body to protect her from being hit.

"She already knows too much! She's well aware that we are a yakuza and will tell the police that aren't corrupted to kill us. She's the daughter of a cop Subaru." His father said, glaring at his only son, a child who didn't understand anything in the world, or how the underworld worked, he needed to be ruthless if it were to work in their favour.

His eyes opened surprised by what he was hearing. She was a daughter of a cop? "Is this true? Were you only using me to get information from me so you could get rid of us?" He asked, looking at the girl who didn't meet his eyes or deny the fact that she was a daughter of a cop.

"I don't care about if she is or isn't a cop or isn't. I WONT KILL HER!!" He raged back at his parents, his mother, standing there, walked over to the unruly child and slapped the child across the face. "That in itself is like saying you don't want to be apart of this family."

That made tears fall down the young youkai's face, he didn't want to disappoint his father or his mother so he stepped back away from the female and picked up the gun, he bit his bottom lip and pointed the gun at her with shaky hands looked away from the girl he loved, but his father walked over to him and made him look the girl in the eyes that he was about to kill. Both of the guys hands on either side of his face and the shots went off.

                                                            BANG BANG!'

tab At the moment, he gasped, his eyes shooting open and sweat was on his forehead in a thin layer as he sat forward and saw the students exit out of the auditorium. So the entire dream went over the whole school assembly? That was a great thing to know which left him guilty and feeling hatred for himself. He didn't really feel hungry so when Oliver had left, he was alone in the auditorium, so he sat there for a few minutes trying to come to grips that it was just a dream and not reality. Leaning forward, he put his head in his hands as he wondered if he was going to have to relive it every time he closed his eyes, he already hated his father enough as it was and his mother had just stood by and done nothing, but he wasn't sure if she had her head turned to turn a blind eye from the scene or had covered her ears to the sounds the girl was making and the fact that he had found his mother later balling her eyes out and slapping his father later. It made the young male sick to his stomach about even doing this for Oliver.

tab Soon he heard his mobile go off and took a deep breath, a message from Oliver. He might as well go humour the male and head to the fountain. He got up from the seat in the auditorium and headed outside. The male walked out into the warm area and sighed, taking a deep breath in and letting a shuddering breath out, he sent a message back to Oliver. Yeah, be there in a few. not really hungry. He sent back as he walked his way to the fountain, walking so he could think things over in his head. He had shot other students before, direct orders from Oli to kill and deal with Vi's lovers in the past. He didn't make it obvious that he did it, sometimes he did it in his kitsune form because there were so many other canine creatures in the school, except him, there was also a zombie, something to use to his advantage to make it look like she had done it. No one would suspect the Vice President of anything. Walking over to the fountain, he spotted Oliver, standing straight and proud, he washed all memory from the front of his mind about his past crush. "Oliver." He said, his emotionless face like a doll, unmoving and unchanging as he leaned against the fountain, his hands stuffed into his trouser pockets as he looked at the tall vampire next to him, he was like a giant standing here, but Subaru had never been scared of the guy, he himself could strike fear into a persons heart should he so choose. His gun wasn't on him right now, probably a good thing too.

                                                            Location: Fountain
                                                            With: Oliver
Thinking: Nothing... because I feel numb inside, just like all those years ago

"Go to Hell, Tetsuya," growled a very drowsy grouch as he was being ripped from the sweet comfort of darkness. Lionel was never one to have dreams, or didn't remember them as some always blab on about, and usually every night, the dream realm welcomed him with the void's dark embrace. It was always just darkness. A cozy niche where his mind shut down completely, and he was lost in an oblivion that even he himself couldn't disturb. How soothing the darkness can be when you are lost within it; it was something even he couldn't describe in words to others. He enjoyed sleep when it came like this. Though the tragedy to this ultimate calming of his mind's chaos, is that it is always short lived even if he managed to get himself to sleep for a full six hours. It feels like it passes by in an instant, especially when something or someone is calling you from the void and into the hazy gap between consciousness and slumber. It was always irritating to Lionel, who never wants to get out of bed when he is sleeping nicely. And yet, the nuisance persisted to prod him to wake up. That annoying whine, the poking at his face, and the tugging on his pillow... Lionel, kept his eyes shut as he reached for his other pillow and put it over his face in a silent demand to be left alone and further block out the pestering of his best friend. When that failed to work, the Lion bared his fangs from under the pillow, "Piss the ******** off! Who wants to go anywhere with someone as annoying as you? If you poke me one more time, the only place you will go with me is a place you will never return from..." It came out in a menacing hiss, before he heard Tetsuya back away from him and silence separated the distance between them. It seemed like he won this morning...Or so he wanted to think when his aquamarine eyes opened and his shutting them didn't bring him back into his oblivion. ********, he was awake now. He grumbled under his pillow, before pulling it off his face, tossing it at Tetsuya, and sitting up in his bed. "One of these days, you will wake me up and you won't end up so lucky..." he mumbled as rubbed his face with his right hand, to try and brush away some more of the groggy feeling, before shooting a glare at his friend. It was more because his face felt stuck in that expression rather than actually trying to glare at the poor tengu who was only trying to keep them from the lecture of being late. Though his mumbling was an empty threat of course, since he never felt any real hostility towards his friends. He just couldn't control that anger that just takes over his mouth when he is being woken up. Though when he considered that this was the first time Tetsuya had woken him up, maybe the comment he used on Jace a lot last year didn't quite fit... At least on the plus side for Tetsuya, this was a lot easier for him than it would have been for an alarm clock or a maid trying to wake him up. The clock would be smashed, and the maid scared off... Pushing his covers off himself, he swung his legs over the side of the bed and trudged off to the bathroom in their room, walking past Tetsuya before he closed to door behind him. He glared at his reflection in the mirror in a squint as his eyes further adjusted to the bright bathroom light. He turned on the sink water, waited until it was about lukewarm before scooping some into his hands and wetting his face. The rush of the water always helped to ease the muscles in his face and get rid of the need to squint his eyes for no real reason. He reached for a towel off the rack and dried his face before opening the door again and asking what time it was. He had enough time to get himself dressed without having to rush, not that he would have even didn't have the time. He walked over to his wardrobe, and quickly took off the pajama pants he wore to bed and slung them over the headboard of his bed before he pulled out slacks to replace them. He hated to sleep hot, so he left his shirt off when he slept. Not that anyone knew that outside of the cats. It would be annoying to let anyone else know he was bothered by little things like heat. He pulled on a simple white button-down shirt that's sleeves folded up to his elbows. He left most of the top buttons undone, but the rest he quickly buttoned before slipping his jacket over it. He didn't care for the uniform much, but since it wasn't terribly uncomfortable and he still looked fine in it, he didn't typically put up a fight about wearing it. He threw on some socks, slipped his feet into some navy blue shoes, and tied them before he went over to his bedside table for the things he wouldn't leave the room without. His wallet, first of all, which he slipped into one of the inner pockets of his jacket, his phone and headphones that he tucked into his pants pocket, an onyx ring onto his right ring finger, his lighter that he liked to have around for 'just-in-case instances, and a lion card. He but the lighter into his pants pocket opposite to the one he put his phone in, and the lion card was tucked into another inner pocket of his coat. He checked himself over, running his fingers through his hair a few times to neaten it up a little, before deciding he was good to go and followed Tetsuya out of the room.

Taking his phone out of his pocket to check the time, he let a 'tch' escape his lips before slipping it back into his pockets, and began walking down the hall and to the exit of the male's dorms. They had about ten minutes to make their way to the damned auditorium for a four hour lecture that he has already heard last year. Miserable in his opinion, and he would have just skipped if not for Tetsuya seeming to want to go and the other cats no where around. His aqua eyes glanced over at his friend in a vague stare as he focused on his life's aura. Still the same short yet unpredictable span. Lionel wasn't typically phased by death, not even in the least, but then again, he has always been able to see it coming up until the very last moment. Not knowing and then being friends with the person...It made him feel uneasy. He didn't like to leave the poor idiot alone like that. He can't help him until the tengu tells him what is going on, but the least he can do is watch his back until whatever has altered his lifespan takes hold of him. What if the guy dropped dead in the assembly? Lio didn't think it would happen, but he really couldn't say that for sure, clearly. He wouldn't let his friend die alone, nor surrounded by those vulture lessers. Last thing he needs is some dumb a** thinking it would be a good idea to turn him into one of those life-leeching parasites or any other 'undead' race. His friend at least deserved proper ascension...Shaking the negative thought for the time being, he decided that if they were going to make it on time, especially since they stopped real quick to make sure the other cats weren't still in their room, then they would both need to fly...Though on second thought, Tetsuya was a pretty lousy tengu which should have been born with gills rather than wings. Could he manage it without plummeting to his death? Lio couldn't help the scoff that came with the thought, even if it was about his friend. Who ever heard of a tengu dying in the air because he couldn't fly well? Though it was a short enough distance that he should have to worry about that being the end of his friend's existence if he chose to fly with him. "We're going to run out of time if we walk there, and I sure as Hell am not going to run there. You going air born with me, or will we race legs against wings?" Lionel asked Tetsuya as the finally got outside of the dorms. He squinted his eyes at the dreadfully bright sunlight that hit his face and instantly found himself regretting not grabbing his sunglasses. His eyes weren't particularly sensitive to the sunlight, like some other races of a darker descent, but it was still a pain in the a**. He moved away from the door, turning his back to the sun and focused on taking his wings out. It took only a moment for his large silky black feathers were surrounding him, and then bringing him a few feet off the ground as he awaited Tetsuya's answer. They wasted time getting from their rooms to outside, and now they have to go around the dorms to the auditorium. He should have just hopped out his window, but who ever thought well when they just woke up? And it was rather inconvenient when you're in one of the first few rooms in the dorms since they were on the right side of the building. Though when he thought of all the morning people crowding their way to the left half of the dorms to get out through that side door and to the auditorium all in one cluster ********, he appreciated his room being on the opposite end. No sea of people would ever be grouping near their side of the dorms for any reason since nothing was near it.

He hadn't really given his friend the best of options now did he? But it was certainly worth the struggle expressed on Tetsuya's face as he had to choose between two things he was terrible at. When he finally opted to fly, Lionel found himself smirking at what will be an undoubtedly amusing spectacle. He took the lead and flew with ease the distance to the Auditorium. It had been a couple days since he stretched his wings, so it was a nice feeling to have the wind against his sleek blue-black feathers. Once they reached the Auditorium, Lio landed effortlessly precise at the doors that someone was just about to remove the stopper holding it open. When he looked back to see how his buddy was fairing, he actually chuckled at how exhausted he looked. "Consider this revenge for waking me up. Though you really are out of shape, you know? Who ever heard of a Tengu that can't fly straight for more then a few minutes," he teased as he concealed his wings once again and waited for Tetsuya to catch his breath. Though outside of busting his balls over his terrible flying capabilities, Lio would give him some credit for actually putting in the effort. They made it on time and in one piece. Barely. But still they were on the dot and couldn't be lectured for being late as far as he saw it. He walked through the door with Tetsuya and welcomed the dim lighting in the auditorium compared to the bright sunshine outside. He looked around at the crowd in the seats still murmuring, and getting louder in several places as the groups took notice of the two nearly late cats. He noticed a few seats here and there open, but didn't feel like cramming between people and sitting in them. Some had lesser fan-girls telling the two to sit next to them, or others were a project to walk over too since they were in the middle of a row...He was not in the mood to humor the lessers so early in the morning, so he ignored them and just took to leaning on the wall in the back of the auditorium, right beside the door. He had looked at Tetsuya to see if the tengu was willing to suffocate in the crowd, but it seemed the Jaguar either wasn't down for it either or felt obligated to stay by Lionel's side. Which was fine with him, since he didn't mind company and he wasn't sure Tetsuya would be able to escape the grasp of the lessers if he was planning to skip too--which Lionel figured since the guy has watched this three times already. Once was a headache enough, let alone watching it for a fourth damned time. As the ancient blood-sucker took the stage and most people directed their attention at his spiel, Lionel took his phone out of his pocket, plugged his headphones into it, and scanned his phone's playlists for one he was in the mood for. Like Hell he was going to listen to that drawl for an hour or two. The snooze-fest would have made him feel too inclined to set fire to the stage just to make things a bit more exciting. As he let the tunes permeate his ears, his eyes wandered over the crowd for the two other cats, finding Constant sitting with lessers, and Jace nowhere in sight. How Constant managed it was beyond him, though maybe he would have felt inclined to be in his spot had he came here early enough not to be engulfed in a sea of those people? He shrugged at the thought as his eyes wandered more and landed on the back of the head of a girl he actually knew the name of and, to his knowledge, none of the cats have slept with. He nearly grinned at how foolish she looked to him with how she sat in her seat, but his face remained as stoic as usual. He noticed her eyes meet his for a moment, but that was about it before he closed his and sank into his own mind to kill time. If he kept watching her, he would just want to go over and pick on her just because he liked to. And what better way to make time go by then randomly letting your mind wander wherever it wants to go? He would know since he spent most of his life doing it. Especially during the summers. This summer he spent most of his time out in his family's manor out in Paris. His parents stayed for a few days with him, to "bond" with "family time" but then they left for California and remained there throughout the rest of the summer. And how did the Lion spend his time? Tormenting the locals, entertaining himself with wandering around the city, playing video games with his crew online occasionally if they were ever free for it, and bettering his French. It was just a friggin' blast, he thought sarcastically to himself. He didn't come back to the U.S. until two weeks before school was starting up, where he spent it in the main house in L.A., getting his s**t together for school. He arrived at the school last night with a miserable jet lag from the eight hour flight. He managed to bump into Tetsuya when he arrived and they caught up on all the "excitement" of their vacations while they waited for the maids to finish unpacking their things for them. It was surprising to see that Tetsuya wasn't sharing a room with Constant this year, but Lionel wasn't complaining since he would rather not get stuck with a lesser like the other two cats had. Jace will probably end up with blood on his hands from his roommate pissing him off every minute, and Constant....Probably will welcome his into his bed. He liked his friend, but God knew Lionel couldn't get what went through Constant's head when it came to sleeping around. What happens if he screwed up and catches something or breeds? Not that he would have to worry about it with a guy, but still, Constant was walking down a tightrope blindfolded with his choices in life. Tetsuya wasn't much better, but at least Lio didn't have to worry about the guy dragging anyone into their room without Lionel's permission. He also felt like Tetsuya had a bit more common sense about him than Constant, and would know the Hell he would get if he dared. Shag in the b***h's room, not his. His dorm is his own haven, no one was to intrude on that as far as he was concerned. He doesn't trust the lessers enough to allow them there. Especially just so the b*****d could get his rocks off....

After getting about halfway through the assembly, Lionel finally decided it was the right time to ditch this boring lecture. He nudged Tetsuya with his elbow once to signal he was leaving, before he slipped out the door and began walking back in the direction of the dorms. Constant was too far in the crowd to try and have him sneak out with them, so they would have to meet up with him later. It sucked for him, but that's what happens when you sit in the middle of a row of lessers... Lio hooked his thumbs in each of his back pockets, as he debated about what the Hell they should do until everyone else finishes with the assembly and lunch began. It's not like he had anything he really had to do for that day, considering the only actual point to this day was meant for clubs, and his was not one openly exploited. He had give the other cats the newly printed invitations for this year as they told him who was on the roster for this year's members. They would hand them out as they went about doing whatever, but that was about it. They weren't going to open the club today since it would just be a hassle with the possible new patrons, and it would take time to set up the first theme of the year... He was about to ask Tetsuya what he wanted to do to kill time when he heard the sound of footsteps behind them. Normally he wouldn't give someone the time of day by looking, but since he was in need of amusement anyway, he stopped walking and turned around to find a couple of girls had snuck out of the assembly and were following them. Interesting how startled they seemed to have him actually notice they were following them. "I was going to ask what you were in the mood to do until that snooze-fest ended, but I think I'm in the mood to mess around. How about you?" he asked, looking up at the Jag's eyes but speaking loud enough for the girls to hear. Clearly he was talking about them, but probably not in the way they were thinking as they squealed giddily about the two giving them attention....

Lettie-Lou pivoted on her heels after hearing Jon's voice and turning to greet him. She dropped the butt of her cigarette, putting it out with the toe of her shoe. "So, did you disturb the princess' slumber?" She teased, leaning to the side to see Myra around the corner, smiling and waving at her. "Well don't you look like a doll~!" She hummed to Myra, complimenting her appearance and the success of the girl's make up. They had spent hours one day on Myra's make up. The girl had so many questions and styles she was curious about, and Lettie was proud to help. Obviously, Myra took in everything Lettie said.

Looking at the time, her eyebrow raised. "I dunno 'bout y'all but.. I don't want to be late." She grabbed Jon, then Myra and drug her two friends down to the auditorium. They had about five minutes to spare, but for the most of it it was spent on trying to find three seats next to each other. Finding success in one of the middle rows, Lettie plopped down between Jon and Myra, her golden curls bouncing around her shoulders. Generally, she put up her hair, but today she was lazy and let her long hair fall around her mid back in a semi-messy, semi-curly heap.

Lettie had no idea what to expect from an assembly, having never been to one in the first place. All she knew was it was a mandatory school gathering where the people in charge of the school or something gave you important information. Though, as she listened in, she realized she knew all of this anyways. I mean, she was given a booklet to look over as a new student, and Lettie being Lettie read the whole entire thing. She was the new girl, she didn't want to mess up already. Besides, if she did forget a rule or anything, she could probably ask Jon or Myra about it. If not she could probably ask a teacher or whatever.

Leaning back in her chair, she got comfortable and closed her eyes for a minute. She hadn't slept much last night and was still a little groggy from it. It seemed, no matter how hard she tried not to fall asleep, she couldn't help it. As she started to loose consciousness, she leaned to the side, finding something to rest her head on, not realizing it was Jon's shoulder, and slept. She dreamt of home, of her father, of her mother, of Mama Beau, of the swamp and the alligators. She began to feel home sick, like a small piece of her was missing. She then remembered walking in the swamps, the musty smell of the waters, the earth squishing beneath her feet, watching baby alligators hatch, making small voodoo dolls next to the waters to give to her family as luck charms, all of it seemed so real.

Then her dreams took a twisted turn. She remembered her decent into the waters, struggling to hold her breath long enough to free herself from the plants. Her body forced her to gasp for air and her lungs panicked as they were filled only with murky water from the swamps. Her heart racing, trying to free herself as she slowly lost all realization of where she was and what was happening. The worst part, was the peace that happened after the panic. She peacefully floated in the water, weightless, almost free. She watched the murky water float by her face and eventually, she slipped away into the darkness.

Eventually, she did wake with a start, sighing and relaxing again once she realized where she was. She woke up for the last ten minutes of the assembly before they were given permission to leave. She got up slowly, following her friends outside where she yawned and stretched. "Could y'all wait here? I made us lunch and I'm just going to go grab it, m'kay?" She hummed, before running off to her dorm to retrieve it.

Returning in ten minutes, she took her two friends to a shady, grassy area and set the basket she was carrying down. From it, she produced lemonade, sweet tea, chicken and andouille gumbo, cornbread, pralines, some fruit, along with three bowls, cups, spoons, plates and napkins. "I hope y'all like it. I mean it's probably a little different than what you're used to." She spoke, opening the container with gumbo in it and immediately the strong smell of the home-cooked cajun meal filled the area. She made sure to serve everyone first, before herself, then poured herself some sweet tea and leaned back, enjoying the cool breeze. She pulled out another cigarette, leaning away from her friends so they didn't have to inhale her bad habits. Generally she only had one before she went to bed, sometimes two; one in the morning and one at night. But today her stress levels were rather high and she found comfort in the deadly pixie stick.

It was a gloriously sunny morning, which only made the over grown wolf even more miserable. His alarm never went off, because frankly he didn't care enough to set it. Sebastian had all the intention in the world to skip the first day assembly, if he knew that his presence would go unnoticed. Of course, being the personal pet project of the headmaster, skipping was not an option. Last year he had tried and ended up cleaning the boys bathroom for a week. With the state of the facilities the little pricks must have been incapable of hitting the ******** bowl. So it was safe to say trying to skip was not an option. The boy was positive that being put in a room with his Majesty, the president, was already a punishment for a violation he had yet to commit. The beanstalk should consider himself lucky that the wolf had proven to be too lazy to get up and strangle the brat in his sleep. And, of course his room mate was already gone, no doubt busy kissing a** to the new set of students that had arrived. For such an absolutely horrible toad, most of the student population seemed to like him. Maybe Bastian could find him bearable if there wasn't a stick lodged so far up his a** making the man a completely miserable existence.

In one swift motion the boy threw off his blankets watching them sprawl out across the floor, where he left it. Now, he wasn't a total slob, and if he had ever had a room to call his own; then he was sure it would have been orderly. So why was it that the current state of his room looked like the aftermath of WWVI? Because, it usually pissed off his room mates to the point of harboring homicidal tendencies. There was nothing he loved more than seeing that dancing vein wrinkling their perfect little daces. Without a shower the wolf rolled out of bed feet twisted in a sea of blankets. He had taken a shower a couple days ago, that was good enough.

Sebastian pulled on his uniform with a groan. Even after two years the thing still felt foreign. The polo barely covered the fresh bruises covering his collarbone. The evidence of the fright from the night before was scattered over his body; but the wolf had no idea what had happened. It wasn't unusual, he probably smarted off one too many times. The skin was still tender, it was a feeling that he had grown used to.

The boy lazily made his way over to the auditorium, savoring each inhale of his last cigarette. He made a mental note to find Jace later and pocket some cash from the poor boy's wallet. The kid had so much Bas was sure he never noticed when some went missing. One last sharp inhale and the wolf flicked the butt to the ground stomping out a few remaining embers. The auditorium was already packing full of bodies and with a low growl the boy filed in with them. He couldn't believe they were forced to listen to the same boring droll year after year. Leaning back in his seat Sebastian threw his feet up propping them between the two seats in front of him, one look at him and any hissyfit the two were getting ready to throw vanished. Being hated by everyone had its advantages. He was pretty sure it had been forever since the old man had started talking. At some point the wolf had fallen back asleep and to his satisfaction by the time he awoke the horrid thing was over. perfect timing with a kick to the chair in font of him the boy stood up filing out with the rest of the general population.

Luckily the bodies were packed so tightly Bastian managed to get a couple spare cigarettes off one of the poor saps. These rich kids sure did have some bad habits, not that he was complaining. Breaking free of the crowd he made his way towards the ally between the buildings. It seemed like his luck had run out though, turning the corner he found the last people he ever wanted to see. Blowing out a puff of smoke the wolf let out a whistle, "If you're going to make out, don't mind me." The young wolf leaned up against the wall of the auditorium staring at the pair. If Chrys wasn't such a b***h he thought maybe he wouldn't have minded Dali so much. "Chrys, you really went overboard this summer didn't you? I think you got fatter," Sebastian put the cigarette between his lips hand held out his hand making a frame with his fingers. "I mean your a**," he closed one eye, "It's huge. Either you've hit the corn dogs too hard or someone got some work done over the break; I know you're rich but I dont know a soul that would pay for a caboose like that."

                                                ALLEYWAY - CAFETERIA ⋮ CHRYS - SEBASTIAN - NOLAN⋮ MUSICATTIRE ⋮ 12:20

Too often were the lexemes of remarkable importance left unspoken, a truck's worth of unsaid three-word sentences, a cart-full of tacit, necessary apologies and an innumerable amount of implicit revelations; And, were Dali the betting sort, her hand would be forced to point-out that she had found herself in a situation such as that, to the exact letter, even. The lines between admissible and inadmissible had been faded and blurred like a piece of newsprint left out in the rain but even then, even when Dalisay could have come up with some shred of an explanation, a justification for not telling her friend something as vital as an unexpected pregnancy, doing so felt cheap. Certainly, the way Chrys' eyes bore into her own, narrowed and laced with poison, scraping together a vacant excuse to divert the flames would have been the easiest way out of getting the backside of the witch's wand, as much as she may have deserved it, but that wasn't how the half-breed wanted to handle the situation. In the past, it had been nothing to burn a bridge or two if it meant saving herself from dealing with a problem head-on, a simple virgin-lie here and a bent-truth there, but now, now that she had a best friend, a sister even, wrought with anguish, an accomplice of her condition shaded in oblivion without a trouble in the world and a physical state stigmatizing her a soon-to be mother, Dali didn't want to use her silver-tongue to get herself out of trouble because it a trouble she had accepted with half-hearted woe and a trouble that she would force herself to manage as an adult, not some foolish child swept up in the moment like a stormy gust of wind. The half-breed wanted to be conducive to her future, whatever career path that meant and with whomever that would be, but staring down adversity with bravery, it was better proclaimed than accomplished, though the way her friend's expression dwindled to a mass of glowing embers that, one would do well to notate, could as quickly be rekindled, it was an exhilarating consolation to be made privy that her dearest partner-in-crime understood the heartache she was going through, even if she couldn't be in the right to fill herself with such forlorn feelings to begin with. After all, wasn't it her mistake that led her there to begin with, reckless abandon seeping in through the fissures passion and hope had created? Pausing for a moment, allowing the young woman's paramount question to sink in, hoping that perchance she could resolve some intelligible answer to such a simple question, the plumette drank in a clean breath of their atmosphere before making contact with the witch's sapphire-blues, removing her eyes from the cobblestone alleyway floor. I was waiting for the right time but I guess, the girl explained, running a hand sheepishly over the back of her neck to calm her nerves, there'll never be a 'right time' for this sort of thing, so I'll just tell you everything: Biting her lip, the tiger's blood-flavor of her tinted lip balm dancing across her taste buds as she halted in thought, pitch-brown eyes scanning the vastness of the alleyway for any stray intruders, the lilac haired girl spoke not a single word less than the truth and as much as the honesty stung her tongue, a relative of the 9-volt battery dare, letting go of such a corrosive secret didn't feel half bad, and besides, it would take a woman far stronger than herself to hold onto confidential information such as that for much longer than she had.

Resuming her arc, the plumette leaned against the brick wall behind her and deposited her hands into the pockets of her blazer-jacket, once again meeting irises with her brunette haired room mate as she prepared herself for the unavoidable consequence of being best mates with one of the most responsible women on campus. Okay. Well, here I go.. Remember how I told you that some.. 'stuff' may or may not have happened around the end of last year between me and.. you know who? The plumette asked with a tilt of her head followed but a nod of self-agreement as she continued to speak, Alright, I'll spare you the details and s**t but anyways, the way the math came out, I should be ten or eleven weeks in tomorrow. Stating the details out loud, the unattractiveness of the circumstances were that much more apparent, because no matter what angle you look at it from, there's no turning trash splatters on paper into a picasso painting. Dalisay couldn't deny Chrys the liberty of being outraged with her friend's actions, in fact, were they metaphorically to step into each others shoes, part of her couldn't entirely guarantee that she wouldn't have smacked the girl upside the head for being such a jackanapes but that was the thing: no matter how harsh Dali would have been and no matter how short-tempered the witch could be, the dragonfly felt in the back of her heart, snuggled close as a bug in a rug with her infatuation with a man she could never have, that her friend, her closest, dearest and nearest friend, would never hurt her, even if she had every right to turn her into a frog for the way she had acted back then and even when she had been given a perfect chance to tell her the facts near the end of their vacation. Looking down at her nikes for a minute flat, the awkward silence settling in overlapping her train of thought, Dali swallowed what little pride she had, ran a hand through her mess of floral-toned hair and exhaled a sigh of melodrama. I know, I know.. I mean.. I don't expect not to be mad at me it's just that.. It's just that I really need you right now, okay? The plumette confessed, still staring down at her feet as if they held all the secrets of the known universe, including how a half-breed like her could ever get pregnant from a tengu in the first place.. Though, still, even to her chagrin, Dali couldn't deny the silver-lining that was being pregnant with the child of one of the most gorgeous men on campus, Aristo Cat or not. Dali didn't see much in the Aristo Cats above a bunch of arrogant hooligans and the Jaguar among them, he was no better but something about him, something distinct and beautiful, caught her eye. Of course maybe she was a delusional mess of toxic hormones and stress, purely wanting to see the best in a man that could have been a complete scumbag for all she knew but she trusted herself, despite everything that had happened, and that if she believed that he was a gentleman of some exotic kind, then he was. It was one of the main reasons Dalisay hadn't gone to confront the brunette, even when he had as much a part in the catastrophic conundrum as she did. The dragonfly believed that the man would never abandon her if he knew of her state and assuredly on the way she was going, she would constantly be balancing in debate of whether or not he'd say affirmatively or negatively if he would bother with her or not, and the part of her heart that fancied him something terrible could be content with that much, but the other portion, her logic, her guilt, wanted to at least give him the option, regardless of the potential heartbreak to ensue. Tetsuya had a spectacular future, much more secure than her own, being that his father was the heir of a renown hotel chain in a land far-far away rather some frivolous starlet, and it would have been selfish for her to ruin that with such a dire obligation but if he did want to rise to the occasion, and better than that, if he could love her as much as she did him, then who was she to deny him that, especially if the rumors were true?

The stale, vexatious bite to the alleyway's air was as suffocating to ones marvelous set of robust lungs as being a thousand miles under the ocean and for someone as carefree and vivacious as Dalisay, it would have been impossible for her to recognize herself standing in the midst of such conditions. The violet-hued hoodrat, better known about their moderately sized campus as "the dragonfly" of the Lady Bugs, was never the kind of girl for serious conversation, too full of life and youth to bother herself over the pettiness of the future or the desperation of trivial pursuits but now, trapped at a forsaken crossroad with no reliable map to point out which way is west, the girl had no alternative option besides to partake in such seriousness, but on the same end of the spectrum, the brash young woman couldn't prevent herself from breaking a smile and emitting a trill of pale laughter, shaking her head in unison to her train of thought. Man, did I sound like a little b***h! Dali hated to sound all blood-and-thunder like the leading actress of some mediocre, low production budget, poorly lit teen drama but still, despite the dismay her heartfelt veracity had brought upon her conscience, the plumette decided it safe to fill in the blanks of her legal statement, less some stray lightning bolt stumble upon the notion to strike her down for her impudence. Sighing an exasperated eupnea, Dalisay shone a reassuring smile to her room mate before continuing on with her broken spiel, gravity returning to her irises against the tides. Look, since I guess you should know, I am planning on keeping it and, I know you're a better vault than the Chase Bank but I'd 'preciate it if you could keep this on the DL, yeah? Truth was, gauging the number of secrets Dalisay had shared with her friend, whether for the sake of discarding excess luggage or at the fault of an innocent slip of the vocal cords, it was safe to conclude that Chrys knew her better than anyone ever would and even better than anyone ever could. Ever since her father left, there'd been such a trifle of secrets that had been piling up in her noggin, all dressed up but with nowhere to go, and Chrys, as persnickety as the young woman could be with that vicious temperament of hers, she didn't seem to mind listening to what Dali had to say, or even picking up on what she didn't, perceptive sprite she was. The same could have effortlessly been said for the rest of the Lady Bugs, given their adamantine friendship, but telling the lot of them that she was pregnant via a fling with an Aristo Cat? Doing so would have been nothing short of a fool's folly. That wasn't to say that she wouldn't believe in the lot of them at a heartbeat to deliver her child, need be, but more like, if telling Chrys about her status had been a grand conquest, an indisputable challenge, then how was she to face her fellow Lady Bugs, let alone their sworn leader, the queen bee? Suzy and Dali had been the best of friends since they were children scarce able to write and having seen the redhead at both her best and worst, the dragonfly would have liked to believe that not much had changed between the two of them in comparison to how they were back in the day, but even without words to coincide with the thought, both young women knew what little truth there was in the banter.

Sure, the two of them weren't far from blood, even ten years down the road, but the way that Suzy looked upon their rival gang, not to mention those whom fancied more provocative extracurriculars, it surely made the plumette think twice before disclosing any of her more recently accumulated secrets. Yet, then again, maybe it wasn't the correct choice of action, maybe time would really only make everything worse, but for the time being, Dali, she made an effort of of forcing such troubling considerations to the furthest recesses of her mind, after all, how could she think with a clear mindset when the concept of food shared the same parallel plain? Anyways, that's all I really had to say, but hey, if you wanted to be a pal, I guess you could always come with me to the nurse, get this figured out? I mean, after grabbing some lunch, of course! The plumette declared with an affable laugh and did they live in a perfect world, you could have guaranteed that the two of them would be waiting in line at the cafeteria, sipping lattes and checking out new transfers, but nope, he had to show up from thin air and a puff of cheap cigarette smoke. Sebastian, this werewolf, Dalisay wouldn't have minded him in the least, not the way he looked and not for his athleticism, but it was almost as if he prided himself in acting the part of a complete pissant whenever he was around anyone with a bit of money stashed away, and if you happened to be part of either the Cats or the Bugs, that only made matters worse at the tip of a hat. In fact, on an off-day at practice, one could even consider the boy a downright pleasant conversation but there, in that colorless alleyway insulting her best friend and lone compadre of her undisclosed plight, Dali wouldn't have enjoyed his company anymore than she would have a housefly in their dorm room. Narrowing her dark eyes in the direction of the brunette werewolf, the lilac-haired half-breed offered a word of warning, You'd best check yourself, homie. with a mock sense of friendship before her sympathy waned to apathy before waxing back to sympathy as Chrys took on the wolf with a simple wave of her magic. Watching the scene portray itself, the plumette was quite literally snapped from her thoughts as Chrys grabbed her arm and insisted on pulling her from the alleyway, obviously disgruntled by the wolf's comment. Long legs keeping up to the younger girl's pace, the half-breed's eyes lit up at the sight of her supposed boyfriend, a one Nolan Belzarius. The dandelion haired freshman wasn't built, nor was he tall, a decent couple of inches shorter than her, but Nolan, he had a certain charm about him that was undeniable, at least once you get past that scent of his, and speaking of which, if her nose of a truffle-pig was correct, he hadn't even taken the time to groom himself proper, which wasn't such a massive surprise. If anything could be said about her off-the-record best friend, he had a talent of missing his alarm, that was to say if he had taken the liberty of getting one to begin with.

Nearing the freshman lad, allowing Chrys a moment to cool down after her confrontation with the disparaging, dark haired werewolf, the plumette gave her boy a quick once over before making a clicking down with her tongue in false disappointment. Dali dug through her bag, a mess of scrunchies, makeup, and other bare necessities, the dragonfly recovered a can of axe body-spray, having taken it upon herself to ensure the boy's game ever since she had met him earlier that year since really, he was too cute not to be beating honeys off with a stick, no matter how distinctive his usual scent was. Sparring Nolan a smile the purple-haired girl beckoned for boy to stand, You sir, smell like a corpse. Come, let me fix you. Applying the usual sum of cologne to the ghoul, the scent she had chosen, some "chocolate" flavor she reckoned didn't smell half bad, Dali took the lad's arm and gave it one final sniff test before labeling him as passable and tossing the canister back into her bag. Truth be told, Dalisay didn't mind his essence as much as one may assume, not because she spent her spare time with rotting corpses but rather on account of her strong stomach and general toleration for "grossness", well, that and Dali was particularly fond of their friendship. His collected, unmotivated outlook was soothing to her nerves, especially with all the chaos around her, and besides, it was rare to find someone as partial to reading comic books as they were to spreading the beauty of graffiti art. Returning her shade-less-than-ebony eyes to her favorite boy on campus, the half-breed offered her hand to the ghoul before pardoning a response with, What's say you to joining me and Chrys for lunch, 'boyfriend'? Shooting the pale haired male an impish smirk before a wink to her brunette haired bffl, knowing that whether they had discussed it or not, Chrys would understand the long running joke. Walking to the cafeteria, the plumette had immersed herself in a particularly horrific conversation about one of the comics Nolan and her had been following, often turning to Chrys to back up her statement, even if the witch had no idea what she was talking about from the beginning, when she spotted a familiar brunette, Tetsuya, with the ever intimidating lion. It wasn't at all strange to see the two of them together, being as close of room mates as her and Chrys, and really, Dali had nothing against the Lio, but with him around, talking with Tetsuya about anything, let alone more vital matters, was out of the question so, for appearances sake, as much as the girl wanted to spam the man with attention, she didn't. Instead, despite the little voice in her head, Dalisay trudged forward into the cafeteria, waiting in line for a plate of hearts, uncooked, as she preferred, a bag of sea salt-coated chips, a piece of the chef's renown orange-creme cake, an apple and of course, a soda. Sitting down at a quiet table with her two best friends, the half-breed began to eat immediately, but certainly not with haste, lastly wanting an upset stomach. Turning to Chrys after finishing one or two hearts, Dalisay asked, So, what classes are you thinking of taking this year? Curious to know how theirs would overlap or if they would even share any classes at all, though immature as could be, Dali hoped for the initial.

Iacet couldn't entirely read whatever odd note danced through Constants invitation of bringing him to the nurse. Whatever it was, it was definitely foreign, along with the weirdly sultry spin on predatory that his eyes gleamed with. Iacet squinted his eyes a bit, confusion flickering across his face in subliminal signs as he tried to register whatever Constant was suggesting. However, he had no such luck, ending with just a cluelessly blank sort of expression, head tilting in curiosity. He barely caught the slight tint of red to Constants face, which only caused him to tilt his head further. This was certainly a curious interaction. He absent-mindedly wondered if all conversations had the same peculiar undertone, observing with an uncomprehending silver stare.
At least the question of him being a senior was familiar territory, he noted with a relieved sort of feeling. He nodded helpfully, glasses sliding a little down his nose. He was quite used to explaining his academic status to people ranging from the kind, elderly werewolf librarian dubious at his check-out of four encyclopedias at age 11, to the sneering vampire at the cafe table beside him. So of course the path was well trodden, and yet he still managed to find himself stuttering. It was bothersome, of course, but something he supposed was only aggravated by the same indecipherable tone in the other boy's words. The intent stare that was fixed on Iacet only made matters worse, self-consciousness prickling at his spine. The fact that the person of whom the stare came from was the textbook definition of attractive certainly didn't help, and he could swear he was suffering heart palpitations when the edges of the other student's mouth curved into the barest of smiles, but a smile all the same. He didn't quite know what to make of it, but somehow he found himself smiling in response, a slow, cautiously hopeful smile growing onto his lips.

It only stalled out for a second as he awkwardly furrowed his eyebrows when Constant bowed, distractedly making a note of the behavior to research later for the specific reason. His smile returned in tenfold force, however, when Constant welcomed him to the school, practically beaming as he responded with,
                      """O-oh gosh! Thanks!"
The teasing way Constant mirrored Iacet's introduction was completely lost with him, Iacet only taking from it Constant's full name. He rather liked the name really, murmuring a quiet 'Hrmm' sound that he typically made when he made specifically sure to memorize something perfectly, taking note of the easy way the syllables rolled off of Constant's tongue and the stress at the latter syllables that gave a distinct pronunciation to the words.
He recalled that Faust was a derivative of Faustus in Latin, and he supposed the meaning of 'lucky' or 'fortunate' was interesting. More interesting than whatever his own tongue twister name meant. Though he found Constant's first name much more fascinating, what with it doubling as an adjective and a noun in a way he rarely saw in the English language. He quite liked the bit of wordplay, really.

He was, in fact, so busy picking apart the specific notation to Constant's name that he only realized he had zoned out again when he heard Constant's voice. He blinked rapidly, pushing his glasses further up his nose as he caught the ending sentence of,
"--happy to show you around, if you want."

He raised his eyebrows at that, his cautious optimism upon meeting the amethyst-haired student blossoming and melting away a bit of the apprehension of entering unfamiliar grounds. Iacet was thankful, exhaling slowly and shifting his weight to stifle the weightlessness that threatened to reach his wings.

"It's lunch time right now, I could take you to the cafeteria if you don't know where it is."

""I-- uh... ", he shot a quick glance over Constant's shoulder to where the general direction of the cafeteria was, nervous silver eyes wavering in their certainty for a second. He didn't particularly want to re-enter into a crowded area yet, stomach already starting to knot itself into a mess of anxiety at the mere thought of having to go somewhere so loud and crowded and---
He gulped hard, a pensive frown threatening at the corners of his lips as his wings subconsciously moved to tuck themselves closer to his back in a gesture of fear.
However, the frown was lifted immediately once he heard Constant murmur something about his wallet, relief hammering starkly through his heart.
                      Ohthankgods
He thought as he perked up, stumbling over his words in his eagerness to get further from the cafeteria,

                      ""YES!"
He exclaimed, a bit too fast. He promptly clamped his jaw shut as he realized that that was probably not the proper reaction, quickly backpedaling in his stammering words.
"".....I-i mean, not yes, b-because losing wallets i-is not particularly that of a s-situation, per say, of which would prompt a r-reaction to, uh, I mean-- uh... happiness, exactly-- "
He stopped for a breath, gathering his thoughts before starting up again, trying for another angle,

""I-i'm still s-sorta, um, lost, actually. I-i was, just- uh, looking for my dorm, really. I think its-- Room 3B? D-do you, ah, happen to know where that is...? "
He asked, offering a puppy-like smile in it's dorky eagerness, wings fluttering hopefully behind him as he shifted beneath the heaviness of the bag that practically dwarfed him in its mass, his shoulder already starting to ache beneath the weight. He wouldn't be altogether that surprised if it could rack up a higher weight than himself-- though it probably wasn't a fair measurement, since fae had hollow bones and all, he supposed.

The silence was a little disheartening, and Iacet seemed to shrink back at the mention of the cafeteria. Or maybe he hated Constant. For an instant, he felt a wave of horror at the very thought, which was disturbing enough on it's own considering he wasn't one to care how other people felt about him. But looking down at the boy who stuttered like crazy and was quite frankly a huge nerd, he felt as though it would be dreadful to be hated by him. He would also have to say that it would surprise him, no one hated him. Well, maybe the Lady Bugs. And in all honesty he wondered about Jacenty, but he was sure his best friend didn't hate him, just strongly dislike him from time to time. Constant was sure he would decline, whether it be because he was too shy to say yes or he really did hate him. Could you imagine? Though, it wasn't like he'd never seen a shy kid before, in fact with his reputation he tended to make people very nervous which meant he was surrounded by stuttering and nervous students, but in this particular case he had no desire to make him squirm, even the thought left him feeling guilty. Discomfort would have been plain on his face if he were one for expressing his feelings, however he was not. All he could do was watch as his wings tucked back with a blank expression while internally arguing with himself on whether or not he was about to be rejected. At one point, he was positive. He was definitely going to say no, it had to be the nurse thing. He made him uncomfortable and now Iacet was going leave and never talk to him again, curse his flirtatious nature!

He was quickly proven wrong, despite drowning in his own negativity and spiraling down into a black abyss of despair and shame, all the while wearing a neutral and borderline bored expression. The sudden outburst was cause for his eyes to grow wider, just enough so it was hardly noticeable. He had said something about his wallet, was Iacet relieved he didn't have money with him or was he saying yes to his offer? Confusion replaced disappointment, and it was shown by a slight tilt of the head, being enough for a lock of purple hair to fall into his face, back to where it was before he pushed it behind his ear. Following the surprising response came a flustered explanation that almost made him laugh. "Of course." he responded, giving him a small nod. He was thankful to hear that he was still unfamiliar with the school, it would be his opportunity to guide him around, and if he was lucky he'd be in a room at least close to him. However, it seem life would do him one better. "3B...?" it took him a moment to register, but he soon realized that it was the same room he was in. He smiled, eyes drifting to the direction of the dorms, "Then, as your roommate I'll accept the responsibility of helping you until you get better acquainted with the school." he said, a mildly pleased tone woven in with his voice.

"Come on, I'll show you to our room." he said, liking the sound of it already. He placed his hand gently on Iacet's lower back to guide him in the right direction. The dorms weren't terribly far, but taking another glance down at his new roommate he noticed that his back was extremely large, especially in comparison to the one carrying it. He didn't think about it much, it was almost a reflex for him to reach out and lift it from Iacet's person. Without saying a word, he swung it over his own shoulder and was shocked at the weight, and how Iacet was carrying it without showing the slightest sign on struggle. 'What the hell is in this thing... Did he just bring a back full of bricks?' he wondered, noticing that it did feel like a bunch of hard rectangular shapes that filled this anchor of a bag. Some of the students did have pretty weird things in their bags, and considering how little he knew about Iacet he could certainly be one of those students. Still, it could be forgiven considering his stutters kept Constant amused and his dorky smiles made him feel weird in ways that, while disturbing, were almost kind of nice. At any rate, the bag was heavy but he had no intention of verbalizing the burden. It was more surprising than anything, once he was used to it it wasn't so bad. Besides, even if it was the dorm was close enough that he didn't really mind it.

He didn't talk much on the way, but Constant had never been one for chatting. However, as soon as they stepped into the dorms he spoke up. "It's a bit of a mess, I started unpacking but fell asleep partway through." he muttered as he slid a key into the lock and swung open the door. The only real mess was on the bed he had claimed for himself, random folded clothes and miscellaneous items spread out on the bed and floor along with his unzipped suitcase and bag. Constant walked into the room and dropped Iacet's bag on the bed closest to the window before turning around and shoving his hand into his pocket, "Welcome home." he said, before walking over to his own bed and rooting through his things, before he finally located his wallet and slid it into his back pocket. Then he spotted his phone, which he hadn't even realized he had forgotten. When illuminating the screen, he saw he had two missed messages, though upon checking them it wasn't anything relevant enough to trouble himself by responding. Turning back to Iacet, he sat down on his own bed, "If you ever need anything else..." he hesitated, not wanting to sound like he thought Iacet couldn't handle himself, "Just ask."

The assembly had no doubt started. With the many student left in the halls, they all seemed to flock in one general direction. Completely opposite to where the silver-headed wolf was heading. Little did it matter, it was enough to prove to Axel that by the time he himself would arrive, the event would be nearly over. As if such a minute thing would bother the male. Truthfully, the wolf only excused himself from Katja's side knowing that once he would arrive at his dorm, he was going to stay there until the cafeteria would open their menus for the students. Though he was unsure what he could to do waste time once he entered his room, he figured a few extra hours of sleep would be enough. Who knows, maybe he'll find some food magically awaiting his arrival. The only problem was thinking up of a reasonable excuse. Not that he was going to be bombarded by questions by the student body as a whole regarding his whereabouts, he simply knew his president was going to put up quite the argument regarding his lazy behavior. Like he wasn't lectured about it enough, the vampire seemed to make it his goal to father the wolf. But that was never going to happen, after all, wasn't the father meant to be the most mature? Certainly Oliver lacked in that department. Seeing as he fussed over the most simplest matters. It was a nuisance really. Yet, that's what made harassing the vampire all the more fun. The ever-stoic, and unconditionally cool president of the student body boiling with anger and the desire to ruin the wolf was one thing, but watching as he scrunched his face, trying to hold back that lustful desire to spill the wolf's blood, knowing Axel only wanted him to stoop to his 'level' was far more entertaining. Unfortunately, not everyone would be able to share the sight of their president becoming nothing more than a feeble pest who only hissed but never bit.

Raising a casual hand up to his neck, the male casually rubbed up out knots he felt. Despite going to Constance-Tilden for three years, the wolf was never one to grow accustomed to the mattress which they supplied. He had had even struck up a deal with the Headmaster to move in a few days prior to today in order to grow accustomed to his room. Otherwise, he was bound to suffer a few sleepless nights. Which would only lead to a grumpier, and far crueler version of the male to which not most were used too. The Headmaster was quick to realize this, and the only promise Axel had to keep was that he was not going to cause mischief while he was there. Not that such a thing would happened, the wolf was rather dull when he was alone. Others were his true gaiety. Had he been the last man left on earth, where everyone else had up and vanished, he would most likely lay there and wallow in the self loathing he would feel towards his own being for having not further enjoyed himself whilst he still had company to do so. Sincerely, without others, Axel was but a shell of nothingness. How could he feel the need to grow, to become the best, when there was nobody for him to beat? A selfless desire it was, but this was the wolf's true feelings. No matter what he may think temporarily, he enjoyed power. But power can only come from others, one must steal said power in order to become stronger themselves. Unfortunately, not even power itself could change the uncomfortable feeling the werewolf felt with his body at the moment. Although he had felt the true meaning of being uncomfortable, from the time where he had lived in - what was no more than - torn down shacks once upon a time ago, he could say wholeheartedly, that the rat infested floor once felt more comfortable, like comparing a cloud to a brick. The brick being the bed the male had just slept on last night. Thankfully, his body was quick to adapt, he'd give it another night before he'd forget why he was ever so bothered by the once imaged stone of a bed.

As a tired yawn would stretch it's way upon the male's pale features, his eyes would open to discover a hazel-eyed girl standing no more than a few feet away from him. How she managed to sneak up on Axel was beyond him. Sniffing the air, he realized that he was unable to pick up a scent asides for his own and whatever leaked out from beneath the doors of the rooms besides his own. When he would further investigate the woman, knowing full well whom she was, he would only realize the same thing all the other times the two would meet. She wasn't living, she was put a supernatural force. A ghost, or more specifically, a spirit. And a woman whom belonged to the bugs. Although the latter did little to influence the judgement he had of her, it was still a force lingering silently at her side. Had he wished to influence the thoughts of her clique, though he was certain his golden-laced lies and smooth silky words could only get so far, he was positive that with a little help from their predecessors, there wasn't a single conflict that the wolf couldn't cause within her group. Of course, his ties to the bugs, as well as the cats, were well hidden, he could only go so far and do so much before he was pushing the very own boundaries he created to keep himself as mysterious face. Though, Axel would often wonder how things would turn out had his big secret somehow managed to get out, he had agreed some time ago to keep going as long as he could. If things would manage to lean in the direction for the worst, then so be it. Where all options were exhausted, there was little a thing Axel could do at that point. The safest thing to do then would was for him to ride out the chaos and see where he'd end up. All that was required was a little bit of patience, that of which the wolf had plenty of.

However, what he had expected of the translucent woman to say the moment their eyes met was not the same of what actually fell from her lips. An assumption perhaps? Or maybe this ghost of a woman happened to have her ties in all sorts of places. Secretive she was, there wasn't a place she couldn't go that a hunter such as Axel couldn't follow, or so he would think. With a hidden smirk, the pale-headed boy would tilt his head. His eyes laced with interest as he watched those light hues directly opposite of him remain steady. To what she had in mind was a good question indeed. It was only a matter of time before the secretary would discover her motive. But until then, he would label her as a dept. Someone who stood up among the others. Though he wasn't sure if she was pinning him as an enemy, he was only forced to think in such a way. After all, it wasn't everyday that the wolf would be confronted in such a manner. With the rumors circulating the school, there was the fear that any such rebellion or outright stupendous behavior thrown in Axel's direction would be met with the greatest amount of violence and pain from your's truly. However, it was unlike Edin to act in such a manner. Though the two had only known each other for so long, she was perhaps the only one in the entirety of the student population that of which Axel just couldn't read. Either she was marvelous at keeping her mind separated from her body, or she happened to be within that odd group of people who literally dawned the phrase, what you see is what you get. And at this moment, the werewolf saw a rather blunt girl who was upfront with everything and anything she did or said. Not to mention that her bland expression and tone showed she was rather void of what emotion a typical being should have. Perhaps such traits ran natural among her race... what was she, a moth spirit? He heard about such creatures. As close as they were associated with death, they did not kill. But instead marked, for not long after would an angel of death come to take the dying soul away.

What bullshit stories would befall his ears. Like he was going to believe such an outlandish myth as that. As if he were going to let his faith and very life be handled by someone other than himself. If anything, he was somewhat hoping she had marked him. For he would prove her wrong a million times over before finally wanted to kick the bucket. And even then would he go out with a bang. Such a self-centered thought, but even if his cocky behavior would be his end, never would he admit he was wrong, neither to himself nor anyone else. To him, death was nothing more but an obstacle. An opponent. And like any other, he was going to best it. Prove it was nothing but a brittle wall which he could literally smash through had he the motive. Unfortunately, even a thick-headed child as Axel could hear so much before he started to believe. And it was for that reason that he never chose to overstay his welcome. Knowing full well the shear pain in the a** he can be himself, he would keep checks. Time was a valuable source of entertainment, that of which he constantly found himself bored with one thing and would soon enough move onto the other. Speaking of which, Edin was the other. With her detached personality.

...You intrigue me. Axel had heard her say, she taking that initial step forward, that of which the wolf would mimic. Closing in the gap between the two. It's my plan to figure out all your dirty little secrets. So lets be friends, yeah?

So odd she was. Had this been their first meeting, the boy would have been taken aback by her straightforwardness. In fact, a piece of him was in fact left dumbfounded by her strange personality. Like she could be any more careless with the choosing of her words, he would have let a sigh leave his body had he not known that behind every word she spoke was a deeper meaning. After all, had someone so vague as she suddenly took interest in another, it was most likely for a reason only they could understand. Yet, that didn't mean Axel was uncaring to hear that reason as well. For now, he decided, he was going to play along with her game. Seeing as how this entire school seemed to be nothing more than one giant game in itself.

H`oh? Axel would hum, shortening the gap in between their bodies by no more than a foot or so. Reaching forward, he took a strand of her hair in his hand. Holding it delicately, he would observe the dark features. She was an exotic creature, that was for sure. Despite the fact that Axel was able to touch her, her figure seemed far from solid. As if it were nothing more than a projection, she was capable of phasing through solid objects, and he would only assume, making her self invisible to the naked eye was possible under her list of prowess. Such power, yet she was seemed keen on keeping herself under control. It made him wonder, did she have to concentrate to keep her figure intact as she did so now? Or was it something which came as easily as breathing?

You do realize that two can play at this game, and I intend to figure out everything about you. He allowed his hand to drop, where a finger would trace a path down towards her collarbone and would have continued to run against her torso had it not fell limp to his side. But that will have to come later, shouldn't you be finding your friends? Axel questioned as he motioned past her. Quickly changing the subject as he searched for his dormitory. Not more than a door down did he find his room; 5b. Drawing the key from his pocket, he would unlock the door to see a rather eager-eyed redheaded boy standing wearing his... pajamas? With a rather dumbfounded expression on his face, Axel stared blankly at the sight before him. Was this the right room? Retreating a half-step, the male would eye the number pasted just besides the door frame. 5b, it was correct. Then... could this be his roommate? A young kid whom the wolf could only guess was a freshman. That couldn't be, could it? Certain this was a miscalculation from school's own's hand, right? Yet even with these questions in mind, Axel was unable to find the appropriate answers to the dozens of questions which swarmed throughout his mind. In an attempt to understand, Axel would scratch his head in confusion as he mouthed the three words only capable of describing his feelings at this particular moment. What. The. Fu—

Hello, I'm Edison! Nice to meet you. The child spoke as he neared the wolf , wrapping his arms around his waist before stepping back into the heart of their room. Though it was quite clear that this was no more than a simple form of greeting, Axel still managed to find a nerve being pinched. The kid had quite the balls being so upfront and casual. Like the two had known each other for longer than the twelve seconds which had passed since the moment their eyes met. Yet, the wolf never moved, he simple watched. Not because he expected the child to be something more than what he seemed. But because he was holding back the urge to hoist the boy into the air and ask him what the big idea was. However, what came next was far more disturbing, well, random was perhaps the better word to use. As Edison paused, he simply announced the fact that it was about time for him to get ready. And like that, the articles of clothing which once adorned his body fell to the floor before his uniform would take it's place. And just like that, the two would be off. Edison taking hold of Axel's wrist as the boy led the wolf around through the halls. What happened next seemed to breeze by before the werewolf caught onto the situation. As the two, well three had one were to include Edin as a living body, wandered the halls in search for the auditorium, Axel noted the few bewildered gazes, and gasps as he seemingly took in the sights of the school. Curious as to why, he would only guess it had something to do with his history prior to the academy.

Just before Axel was finally able to hold his ground and question the junior, Edison had taken it upon himself to pause rather abruptly, and with the most oblivious as well and audacious comment, asked if the senior knew where they were going. Despite the fact that Edison never said it directly, nor even the fact that one would be able to pick up the, supposed, indirect meaning, somehow, Axel had managed to convince himself that the comment wasn't that of confusion. But of blame directed towards the elder male. Like the wolf was the one leading all along, to where the three had quite literally ended up on the other end of the school, opposite the assembly. With a tired sigh, the pale-headed boy simply returned his hand back into his pocket, staring at his roommate once again. He shook his head internally before taking the lead. This way. He stated as his figure turned back down the hall.

F-five A single thought ran through the dual-hued wolf's mind. Some thirty minutes ago, Axel had successfully managed to exit the assembly without much more than a second thought. Saying something about the bathroom in some incoherent jumble of words so nobody would question him, he had since then wasted what felt like an hour visiting the gymnasium before moving over towards the cafeteria where he gorged on his fill for the day. And now, well now the wolf was standing in front of a vending machine, where he was staring thoughtfully into the many snacks behind the crystal clear glass, thinking to which one it was today that he desired the most. Honestly, has Axel tried any harder, he would have quite possibly been able to burn a whole through the machine, ruining whatever was left within. Despite this, it would seem larger problem pertaining to the silver-headed boy's situation now, was what to choose, it was as if the more one would think on it, the harder the choices were. Obviously the couple rows of blood bags were out of the question, though the sweets below were what caught Axel's eye. The only problem was, there were too many choices to choose from. As if the school was either trying to demoralize you for buying the products, or wanted you to buy them all. However, the boy had a lot of interactions with the school's vending machines. And - not really - mastered the way to pick what to buy. Close your eyes, push two random buttons, and hope for the best... Yeah, it really needed some polishing, but so far, the wolf never bought something that he didn't enjoy. Save for the one bag of blood two years ago, but that was too far in the past to even bother with. For now, he chose a chocolate candy bar, which to most, would seem rather ironic. Considering the fact that most canines were not allowed to eat chocolate. Thankfully, Axel wasn't technically all dog. Shown, quite literally, by his human-esque appearance.

Motioning over towards the windows, he was starting to notice life returning back to the academy's halls. Assuming the assembly had just ended, the wolf was now free to do as he pleased without question. Not like he didn't do that prior to this moment, he knew it was about time for himself to converse with a few students. Speaking of which, he knew he was going to have to talk to Katja sometime later in the day in order to apologize for leaving her alone. Knowing this was her first day, he really didn't think finding the auditorium was going to be too hard of a task. Plus, her english was good enough for her to understand. For now, maybe it was time for the wolf to find the other member's of his council. Perhaps even his president. And, speaking of the devil, Axel would pull his phone from his pocket to read the text which Oliver had sent him. The group was to meet at the fountain after they ate lunch. Luckily for the wolf, his lunch had came somewhat earlier than everyone else's. Tucking the mobile device back into his pocket, the wolf started to the courtyard. Taking his time as he did so, knowing that Oliver was still going to chew him out whether or not he arrived a second after the text, or an hour. When he finally did arrive, the boy would come to see both his president and vice-president lounging around. Did Axel arrive too early? Damn, he really needed to make sure he got his act together, it was the first day after all. Why soak it all in gaze and watch it all go up in flames.

"om nom nom." The red head sat on his bed, still in his pajamas as he chowed down on some sugary cereal. His roommate still hadn't showed up. Or he did and the tiny boy had somehow managed to miss him. Either way, he couldn't wait to make new friends. His sisters had told him that everyone was bound to love him! He was going to be friends with everyone, he just knew it. Edison glanced over to the clock. It was...seven fifty-two? Well, that gave him eight minutes still until he had to leave to get to the assembly! Plenty of time!

He continued happily eating his cereal at his own pace. There was a click as the door opened. Standing now in the doorway was a much taller, white haired boy. If it wasn't for his young face, Edison would have assumed he was an old man with the color of his hair. "Hello!" he exclaimed with a wave, mouth full of his last bite of cereal. He jumped up and in a fast walk went over to the person he assumed was his roommate. "I'm Edison! Nice to meet you," he introduced himself, giving the stranger a quick hug. The person in front of him looked utterly confused and if Edison was better at picking up social cues, he would have noticed.

However, as it was, the tiny gorgon was absolutely terrible at interacting with others, and thus, it went right over his head. "I should get ready, now, I guess," he chuckled, stripping off his pajamas with the door open and without an ounce of shame. He swapped the sleepwear for his uniform and went into the bathroom to brush his teeth. Edison refused to brush his hair. Really, he didn't need to. His hair never tangled. That was because the normal look of his hair was merely an illusion. In truth, his hair was actually a mess of snakes. Brushing it would only result in hurting his snakes. So, once his teeth were brushed, he came out of the bathroom. Without looking at the clock, he grabbed the wrist of his roommate. "C'mon, let's go!" he chimed, pulling the werewolf behind him and completely unaware of the girl that accompanied them.

Once out of the dormitory building, Edison stopped. "Where are we going again?" he asked Axel, staring up at him with his jet black eyes. He followed the secretary with an innocent smile and his head obviously in the clouds. Everything just seemed so open here. He was used to walking out of his home and having only about ten feet before there was a wall of trees. Edison loved his home and would never hate trees, but being about to run around like a mad man seemed so tempting right now. It he didn't have the thing to go to, he would have done it. He'd remembered seeing a fountain during the tour and while he had no idea where it was, he wanted badly to jump into it. It was like a little pool! How could he resist?

As the two entered the auditorium, the small boy looked around like he had just entered another world. He'd never been in a room so large. It was magical! He spun around a few times to take in the largeness, only to make himself dizzy. A staff member approached him, saying that freshmen were to sit near the front. Thus, the small boy waved adieu to his roommate before gallivanting off to the seats closest to the stage.

The gorgon plopped down next to another boy who the other freshmen seemed to avoid sitting next to. Edison only noticed after he sat that the person next to him smelled like something was rotting. The lights went down immediately after. He pursed his lips, unsure what to do. It'd be rude to say anything or move, plus he couldn't now that the assembly was starting, but the scent was bad. Being in the packed auditorium didn't help in the least. The boy stared at the ghoul, unsure what do to in this situation. So, instead of moving or speaking, he whipped open his backpack and started eating one of the snacks from within. Mini-muffins, to be exact. But after popping three in his mouth, he froze. Eating next to a smell like that was not the best choice. Now, it tasted like he was eating rotting flesh. He couldn't spit it out, but if he kept it in his mouth, he might barf.

Edison choked down the mini-muffins, coughing after the fact. A few stares and worried looks got aimed his way. The boy closed his backpack and slowly slid it between his feet. He wasn't sure what to do at an assembly. With the amount of seats, it reminded him of a movie theater. He'd never been to one himself, but he had seen them in movies. It made him want popcorn and candy like they always showed people eating. Not that he would be able to in his current position. He glanced over at the boy to notice he was holding something, he leaned in slightly, despite the smell. There was a tiny screen on it. It looked like his GameBoy, but brighter and more detailed. He was amazed that something like that existed. Really, it made him realize even more just how much he's missed in his life by staying in the woods for so long. His sisters would go out and bring presents back, but that was about all he had of the modern world.

                                                                        >Time Skip<

He wasn't aware of when he fell asleep, but once the lights came back on, Edison blinked himself back into reality. The little dreamer rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he tiredly glanced around the room. Lots of people were leaving or were chatting in a group. It was then that he noticed a face he actually recognized. Edison hopped out of his chair, being sure to grab his backpack before bounding over to the girl. "Sara!" he called out as he ran over, only noticing as he got closer that she was talking to someone. He looked over at the unicorn and smiled at her. "Hello, I'm Edison!" he introduced himself before looking back at the harpy. He'd only met her once or twice. Something about her not having a family to spend the holidays with. Nonetheless, he remembered her and was glad to have someone at this school he recognized. "Can I eat lunch with you?" he asked with a smile at the cheerleader and her friend.
