Vossler Reuna

As Vossler tried to keep himself from passing out, he kept his focus on Cameo. As he watched her, she slowly began to move towards him. But, when she was within arm's reach, she had backed away screaming out the world "no." As he tried to move closer to her, trying to at least give her something physical to latch onto, it seems she had already figured out that she was losing touch with reality. A hook seemed to wrap around Vossler's back and pull him close, her hand grabbing a hold of his. As she held his hand and silently sobbed, Vossler held her hand tightly, trying to give her a stronger hold on reality.

"There's got to be something I can do to help give her a better hold on reality. Physical contact seems to be keeping her here, but didn't June help me in a way that I could help her?" That was when he remembered the seal. Pulling himself to sit up, never breaking physical contact with Cameo, Vossler pressed his right hand to her wrist, his left hand holding hers. "Keep still. This is only a temporary fix..." Vossler said, closing his eyes to focus. Normally creating holy energy was easy, but at the moment, he was running at half-capacity. When a seal nearly breaks itself from your skin and opens a wormhole of memories, fighting that and re-seailng it isn't the most simple of tasks. As he fed the holy energy into her wrist, he used the extension of energy from his body to act as his needle and thread, sewing the energy seal along her arm. As he began to seal away any immediate memory flashes she was having, he hoped that it was doing some good for her take on reality.

As he finished the seal, he knew that it would easily disappear once it had done its job. But, it would help her to suppress the memories herself and help her to return to reality. With most of his energy expensed, he would lay his head on the floor, his and her eyes within inches of each other's, his eyes closing uncontrollably.

Cameo felt something on her wrist, but didn't bother to open her eyes. She could feel Vossler's hand in hers, reassuring her that she was safely in check with reality, yet she was still frightened she might open her eyes and be somewhere else. It wasn't until she felt something fall beside her that she finally opened her eyes. Cameo could see Vossler lying inches away from her with his eyes closed. Her breathing had calmed down, and her sobs ceased, so that she was lying there completely drained of energy.

Realizing what the pressure on her wrist must have meant, she smiled. He had helped her so much tonight, and all she had done was cause him trouble. Cameo opened her mouth to speak and thank him, but nothing came out. She had lost her voice.

Exhausted, Cameo managed to push herself up so that she could lean over and gently kiss his forehead before collapsing back on the bed again. Thank you, she thought as she struggled to keep her eyes open. Staying alert proved to be too much of a hassle, so she let her eyelids flutter close. In seconds she was already half-asleep.

As the rest of the evening and the night would pass within a single closing of his eyelids, Vossler would wake up and feel slightly renewed, but with a new pain in his side. He had fallen asleep on a floor... what had happened exactly? It was then the events of the previous day would flash through his mind and he would begin to feel the oncoming guilt of having forced the events to happen. As he pressed his palms against his eyes, trying to wake himself up without feeling the groggy morning headache he always got, Vossler looked at the barren walls of the room. The dorms in the girls' wing were surprisingly similar to those of the boys' wing, though they had their own bathrooms. That could be understandable, as women had a certain requirement to need them. As he drug one of his feet underneath his body and pressed his foot hard on the ground, he could feel himself standing and the blood pounding in his head. His eyes had lost and regained focus in the rushing blood and that was when he saw Cameo, lying soundly in her bed asleep. She'd been entirely compliant with talking about her past and now Vossler knew why it was better left untold.

Taking a look at the arm that he had sealed, he noticed that the seal had only been temporary, as he had hoped, and wouldn't leave a noticeable mark on her. With a bit of mental deliberation, he decided it best to be here when she wakes up. The morning sun was beginning to rise and Vossler felt remotely better than he had last night. Taking a seat at the desk, he saw the note that he had first given her. Quietly reading over the lettering, he sighed. Somehow, he had been drawn to helping this girl face her past, and in doing so, had probably done more damage. Turning the seat to where it faced where Cameo was silently sleeping, Vossler wrapped his wings around his torso, using them as a blanket as he waited for her to wake up.

Cameo Black

Cameo had curled herself into a ball during the middle of the night in the place where she had fallen asleep on top of her blankets. Her clothes were still slightly damp and now very wrinkled from the day before. Hearing somebody shift around close her, she rubbed her eyes as she stretched her stiff muscles. She could feel the morning sun hitting her eyelids. When she finally opened her eyes, she was half-blind from the sunlight, so instead of seeing Vossler, she saw a big dark mass. Gasping, she shrunk away from it. As her vision cleared, Cameo realized what a dork she had been. Laughing, she tried to explain. "You looked like a big scary monster when my eyes were half closed." Her voice rasped as she was still slightly hoarse from the night before.

Cameo's cheeks flushed as she recalled the night before; clinging to him while crying her eyes out. She didn't know what to say to him now, and she felt like such a fool. "I-" she stopped talking and her cheeks flushed a darker pink. "Sorry about last night," she murmured.

As she began to stir, Vossler watched as she opened her eyes and closed them, moving away from him. Hearing that she had seen him as a monster, Vossler chuckled a little. "Well, with my wings like this, I wouldn't doubt it..." Vossler said, smiling. It was then that she would get up and cling to him, apologizing for her behavior. Though she had not done it on purpose, the behavior wasn't even her fault. It was a memory from her past that she couldn't face that brought her out of touch with reality. And, it had been Vossler to push that memory to the surface. His prying had been to blame, as he never would've believed that she would take so negatively to it.

As she cried, Vossler put an arm around her. "You did nothing that couldn't have been fixed with a night of sleep. Though, I do fear for your carpet..." Vossler said, realizing he had drooled a good amount on the floor. "So, let's... leave the past behind. I can fill in the blanks with what you've told me already." Vossler said, his hand on the back of her head as he tried comforting her.

"So, what would you like to do today?" Vossler asked, mostly trying to progress to getting her out of her dorm and her mind off of things long gone.

Cameo laughed when she looked down at the carpet. "It's not mine. I don't care." She uncurled herself and sat up on her bed, stretching her stiff leg muscles. "Can I answer that question in fifteen minutes?" she asked, slipping off the bed and walking over to her dresser. She pulled off her black sweatshirt and tossed it into a laundry basket near her feet. Opening her dresser drawers, she pulled out a fresh outfit. Tucking the clothes under her arm, she walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

Fifteen minutes later, Cameo walked out of her bathroom wearing the fresh outfit she had picked out. Her dark, curly hair was wet, and it reached down the bottom of her ribcage. It was the first time she hadn't bothered to put at least part of it up. She was wearing tight black jeans and a white v-neck shirt with a red tank top underneath. Sitting back down on her bed, she pulled her sneaker over to her and put them. "So about your question..." she said as she started lacing up her shoes. "I figure we should get something to eat before we go anywhere."

As she went to take a shower, Vossler stood up and realized that his own clothes were slightly wrinkled, but he didn't care much. He was used to wearing clothing that wasn't the cleanest in the world. As she cleaned herself up, he stood near the window, watching the clouds and the wandering students that would be up at this time of the morning.

Pulling the latches open, Vossler allowed a morning breeze to move into the room as the window slid open. The fresh smell of a new morning after a stormy night was fitting to the situation. As she left the bathroom and began getting ready, Vossler nodded in agreement. "Food would be nice. But, would you rather eat here or in town? I hear several of the students here have been going to malls nearby. They are bound to have food courts." Vossler said, stretching his wings. The window was wide enough that he could slip out and leave this way if they were to go to town.
Lynn woke up in dorm 13 in a bad mood."Coffee..." She groaned under her breath.Getting out of bed,she checked her calender..."The 11 of April!! Crap!!" Lynn yelped, and got dressed quickly. "Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap crapitty CRAP! Today's the fricken dance!I dont even have a dress!!" Lynn moaned again, and rushed around getting ready to go shopping."I need something gothic, maybe black or red..or black and red...ahhh!!!MY BRAIN HURTS!!" She cried out as she grabed her keys, heading out to the courtyard. She scaned the bike rack and quickly picked out her black tenspeed and unlocked it. Damn it all,why didnt my parents get me something faster??oh yeah, cuz they didnt want me to run away...smart bastards! Lynn fumed, and took off towards the mall.
((btw,if anyone read my announcment on friday, the dance starts today and ends tomarrow, ill be right back-i need to go get dinner for me and my mom sweatdrop ))
Moro wondered why everyone was getting so jittery and happy, is just a Saturday what was so special about that? She went back to her dorm to rest for a few minutes, when she came in she glanced at her calendar which said today was the schools dance. "You gotta be kidding me?" She complained. Moro wasn't fond of dances, she rarely went to any actually but she figured since it was her only school and new home she found it best in going. "Well if I'm going, what should I wear? I don't own anything that's good enough for a dance, I don't even own a dress. Ugh, why is this so difficult?! And why I am talking to myself?!" Moro yelled baffled with this dance and sounding like a weirdo for talking to herself as she threw her pillow up in the air and it landed on her face.

Cameo thought for a moment. She honestly didn't care where they ate. But surely isn't going into town to eat a little more intimate? She mentally smacked herself. You're really going to worry about that? she asked herself. She blushed, again recalling the night before. "You can choose," she said shyly. She finished lacing up her sneakers and stood up, noticing he had opened her window and that the air outside smelt really good. Breathing in deeply, she smiled. Everything smelt better after a long rain.

Isn't there something going on today? Cameo asked herself. She knew some big function was supposed to happen later that day, but because of everything that happened the night before, she failed at remembering what it was. Distractedly, she grabbed her Beatles sweatshirt off of the bed and pulled it over her outfit. She remembered as soon as she poked her arms through the sleeves. "The dance," she whispered to herself. That's what she had forgotten about.

As she slipped her sneakers on, Vossler sighed to himself. "There's a dance?" Vossler said, confused. He was staff and he hadn't heard anything about it. The events of the previous day must've made him forget. "Well, I'll be required to go, mostly as a chaperon. In the meantime, why not go to town? I'm sure you'll be attending the dance?" Vossler asked, sticking his legs out the window.

As he sat there, he made his choice on where to go. "We can either ride to town or we can fly. Which would you prefer?" Vossler asked, his stomach beginning to rumble in anger. He'd need something probably a bit more filling than the stuff that the cafeteria served.
