~Introduction~

Beings of mythical races have lived among us for a very long time. But long ago the elders and leaders of every race came together and made the conclusion that all mythical creatures had to go to special boarding schools only for them, or be homeschooled. They feared that the human race would take over and wipe out all other races. It was made law that all mythics were to stay away from human life.

There are only six boarding school in the whole world for those of supernatural origin.
They are the following-

All six are highly confidential, and even though they take up a lot of space, no one really knows that they are for those that aren't exactly 'non-fictional.' they just think that they are very very picky fine arts schools.

This is about the students, and there time at Ludus Pro Ingeniosus(School of the Gifted). A high prestige school for mythical beings, and gifted humans.

The Story


For Mythics:


You've known what you truly are your whole life. For the most part, you interacted only with those who shared your race; but when it came to school you were always sent away from your family and forced to mingle with other mythics. In time you became used to it, but humans were still out of the question. Sometimes you might go into a small community and stay there with your family for a year or two, but that was the extent of your interaction. (Unless of course the humans were gifted. But you stayed wary.) You were always aware of the fact that you would have to stay in special boarding schools for your school years, elementary through college.

For Humans:

Your whole life you've felt you were different, because you, well, were.
You could see, hear, feel, or do things other, normal people could only dream of.

and your whole life you've kept it a secret, until now.

Recently you received a letter in the mail, with no return address or sending address.
All there is on there is an emblem with what looks like an eclipse of some sort on top of a vortex spiral shape; and on the back, your last name.
When you open it the letter is blank, but as you continue looking at it, a metallic black ink slowly appears. It looked like it was written with a calligraphy pen, and the words somehow seem to enter your mind before you actually read it.
The letter speaks of a school in which plenty of people like you attend to, learning to control their powers. It tells you they know who your are, and what you are. What you are capable of, and what they can do to help.

The School




The land contains the main school building itself which contains all the classrooms and the office; a few more small classroom building found around the school; the teacher’s building, which contains the teacher’s ‘living area’; two fields, for sports known to the ‘mortal world’ and ones for certain races only; the lake; the 'natotorium'; the chapel, with services twice every day; the library; the greenhouse; the dorms, which are scattered on the west side of the school; and nearby, a small town that is inhabited by humans. The student’s dorms, also known as ‘the cottages’, are two to a cottage, the gender does not matter, though they try to put races that won’t ‘clash’ together in the same cottage.

Personality: Elijah is cautious and level-headed, he is usually calm and can deal with a lot of pain physically, mentally, and emotionally. He can thank his past for that. Elijah is very sarcastic and retortive, and loyal to his friends. He is very protective and loving, but if you cross his back he's the devil. Elijah can be very cold, cruel and cynical at times, and doesn't hold back. Otherwise Elijah is a good guy, a gigantic teddy-bear that who will help you during hard times.
Habits/Likes/Dislikes: Elijah paces and pops his knuckles a lot. He tends to think out loud and mutter a lot too. He really likes everything or anyone as long a you aren't egotistical, obnoxious, self-centered etc.He doesn't like the "Saw movies", or peas...
History: Was raised in England, moved to Scotland with his uncle, and to the U.S when his uncle died. Elijah's parents died during an avalanche when he and his twin were four. His parents were not rescued quickly enough from the snow and suffocated. They went into custody of his uncle who abused and raped his twin sister until he was found dead in a dumpster behind a strip club. When they were ten his sister disappeared. Elijah's been on his own ever since.
Weapons: Elijah is always seen with wire bands circled around his neck and arms(can be seen in picture). Using his ability to manipulate atoms, he can change these wires into a weapon.
Pet(s): Has a pygmy falcon named Penna that he was able to keep after a lot of paperwork and court hearings.

History: Cal grew up in a small forest preservation. He was completely alone except for the animals that lived around him. He figured his parents had left him there but he had no idea why. Because of his fear of the unknown Cal never really left the forest until he was 15. Initially people gave him weird looks due to his severe lack of clothing but after that was fixed Cal found that he fit into society well as he really didn't look different from a human. The other step to fitting in was learning the culture of the society which Cal had a hard time doing. He was taken in by a couple of elderly folks who taught him what was going on. Recently Cal got a letter from a mysterious school and he decided to check it out.

Personality: Aeryn is a quite girl with a lot going on in her mind. She is constantly thinking and it's hard to let something slip past her. She is always aware of what's going on around her, and she can easily go around unseen. Aeryn is also very sly and someone you do not want as an enemy. She can be quite temperamental at times. She is also prone to purring and rubbing against objects, due to her feline disposition.
Habits/Likes/Dislikes: Aeryn tends to let her cat-like demeanor show, and can be found climbing trees and other tall objects. She enjoys anything shiny or fuzzy, and enjoys running. She cannot stand the smell of oranges, and does not like anything high pitched.
History: Aeryn's father was a fae, and her mother was a were-cat. Though she takes after her mother mostly, she gained her father's wings and kind heart. Her mother was murdered when in jaguar form by illegal hunters in Africa, and her father has been depressed ever since.
Weapons: Her fangs and claws for the most part; though she also carries a dagger on a strap on her thigh. She usually carries three Japanese stars with her as well.
Pet(s): Ironically, Aeryn keeps a very large tank of fish in her room. She also turns a large orb of metal into platypus that she calls Humphrey. Humphrey is a very loyal platypus and tends to follow Aeryn around.
Other: Aeryn's eyes change color depending on varrying situations. Though they tend to stay an icy blue. Her eyes are also slit, like a cat's. (Very slight telepathy. Has to be a very strong thought, feeling, or emotion. Otherwise she just uses her sense of smell.)

The bright rays of the sun beat restlessly against the old oak tree that Elijah sat in, casting large shadows across the green lawn. The chilly autumn wind blew leaves both gold and green across the landscape, causing all objects to dance to Autumn's song.
Elijah let out a long sigh as his eyes darted back and forth to view each newcomer, for he was in the perfect spot to do so. The large oak tree in which he was seated was located just outside of the school's gate, to the right of the main North Gate. There was only two main gates that were open during this time, for all the smaller ones were only opened on days students were allowed off campus. The school was surrounded by two gates, the first an intricate wrought iron gate that enclosed the buildings and cottages, and a second; a tall white brick wall that enclosed the school campus itself. It was the main barrier that had only two gates, and it was the same wall by which Elijah was located. He had stayed at the school throughout their school break, for he had no where to go, and was yearning for interaction of some sort. He looked around once more before he climbed higher into the empty branches for a better view.

Aeryn slipped her fingerless gloves off of her sweaty hands as she approached the looming figure of Ludus Pro Ingeniosus. Although she was a bit shaky, it wasn't out of nervousness or fretting. Aeryn was concerned for her future at the school; her only safe haven. During the summer the head mistress had sent her a letter explaining that she was a risk to the students and if there seemed to be any hint of her temper breaking again she would be expelled. It was with this thought in her head that Aeryn reentered the school grounds and started yet another year at "Proludus".
