                "Did you see that star?"

                "Mhmm."

                "What did you wish for?"

                "You."

At Watanabe Academy, majority of their students are drafted across the nation. They are known for their vast variety of subjects and advanced placements. The school itself has top statics in academics and are popular for their sports teams. It is a blessing if a student passes the entrance exam. Only eighty students are selected per school year; 23O total. Though some may tire of bumping into the same farmiliar faces, it is worth the quality schooling. Teachers are the best at their subjects. Clubs partake in many functions and festivities. Even the blandest of meals are up to par with restaurants. If it wasn't for those school rules, everything would almost be perfect.

Proud of their high stands, the school cannot risk loosing their image. The officials enforce strict rulings over the students, in order to maintain top grades. Anything from hair dyes to assesories are denied. And dating is unheard of. Even more serve than fighting, displays of affection can get a student expelled. Though of course the Watanabe's contract boldly states this, no teen could resist the magical attraction across the room. No. Instead, the students have enhanced their furtive skills. Every teen knows that in order to keep a relationship, it must be a secret. No one can no. Not even the trusted advisors, or best friends.

An excelerating club is known for their interest in the students. Not exactly. The astronomy club wasn't that popular before. It was formed by a few dorks who eventually worked for NASA. Lame. But over the years, it grew a second purpose. The astronomy club was credited for low-key lovers. It was a way to escape the eyes of school officials, and get some alone time to 'study the stars.' But of course, not everyone who joins in fully aware of this. The secret motives aren't exactly labeled in the sky. But subtle hints, made by the president, could possibly trigger the start of young love.

Delight was clear on the astronomy club president as he made his way towards the final hours of classes. His summer break was made of reflection and island hopping which at least pacified his mood a bit. Now, that he’s back on his feet, Cris Ryuzaki knew exactly the plans he’d make for the astronomy club. He made his way outside of the pristine classroom he was forced to seat for the last two hours. He’d have to find Atsuko to finalize the little planning they made over the break for the new members of the club.

What relief he felt after hearing the administrations’ verdict on him. This slight leniency on the part of the school spoke of a little hope in terms of the stoic regulations imposed on everyone. He casually took a huge gulp of air as he meandered through the corridors, welcoming the throng of busy bodies and the casual chatter of new students in his stride. He raked one hand through his hair while busily trying to find familiar faces. In the few months before the last semester ended, Cris had been avoiding the company of his friends. He felt like a walking plague, infecting the people around him, so he decided to minimize his contact with any of them. Now, he wanted to make it up to a very few that really mattered to him, even if it meant breaking his heart on the process.

First off, he wanted to show Haru a new translation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet he happened to cross while he was on tour. He also managed to grab a few decent souvenirs which he’d plan on giving to a selected few, and perhaps to the new members of the Astronomy club. A grin lit his face in anticipation. He wasn’t particularly fond of giving gifts to people, considering that most of his friends here are well off, but he had to make it up to them after the mayhem he caused them a few months back. He still had some reputation to save, so he’d rather bring back the bearing that was lost from his resent escapades. He smiled and greeted politely the students he passed but not caring if they reciprocated his act. He wanted to remind people that he’s not as affected with some lingering issue and a mix of doubt as he was before.

He made a mental note not to devastate himself with resentment on whatever action he’d make later or whatever reaction he’d earn from his school mates. This thought led him to a painful memory which reminded him why he’s been avoiding people with ash-blond hair and gray-blue eyes lately. No matter how confused he felt, he still managed to beat down the emotions that threatened to overwhelm him and act casual, as though nothing happened and nothing changed.

He entered the club room a few minutes later and sighed at the sight of the empty room. For three years, he was a member of this club and preferred to save his membership over the other clubs he joined. He wanted to remain a member of the Drama club, but he was strictly forbidden not to re-enter. Either that or he’d lose all his chances at having a normal senior year in Watanabe. Cris decided to sacrifice the drama club for astronomy, and decided at that point that he’s not really regretting his latest choices. He pulled a few cups from the storage cupboard and a few black handkerchiefs on another cabinet. He was pretty certain that some of the old members had the decency to bring the usual stuff during first meetings. Two years ago, he underwent the same sort of initiation, only this time, he decided to divert from the normal means and made his own rules. At least, they’d have fun afterwards, which was the point in joining this club in the first place.

After gathering the materials he needed, Cris went to the rooftop to prepare. With a heavy box in both arms, he’d wish that someone was here to share the burden. He could have asked his new roommate to lend him a hand. Yoh’s build was definitely up for the job, or that fair beauty which was always around Haru a few months ago-Kanou was his name? Cris pushed the thoughts away as he ponderously continued his way to the roof top with the heavy load. After a few grudging moments with the box, Cris finally made it to the rooftop, and started putting up things. He took one wolf mask from the pile and placed it on his face as he fished some final embellishments. A snicker escaped his lips as he thought of the members’ reaction to this strange idea.

When two atoms are chemically bonded to each other, as in the Cl2 molecule, there is an attractive interaction between the two atoms leading to a chemical bond. We will discuss the nature of such bonding in Chapter 8. For now, the only thing we need to realize is that this attractive interaction brings the two atoms closer together than they would be in a nonbonding collision. We can define an atom radius based on the distances separating the nuclei of atoms when they are chemically bonded to each other. This distance, called the bonding atomic radius, is shorter than the nonbonding atomic radius, as illustrated in Figure 7.5.

A small sigh escaped the lips of a young student as she wrote down the definition of the bolded word on both a sticky note and her notebook diligently. The school day had officially ended at Watanabe Academy, but Chiyo Hanasaki refused to stop studying. The school year had barely begun and cherry blossoms were nearly finished blossoming, yet she was already seven chapters into her chemistry textbook, wanting to get ahead of her fellow students. To most, it would seem like she was just overachieving, but in reality, it had been a habit of hers since middle school. She wasted no time in receiving her education, wanting to make her parents' dream come true as soon as possible. To her, the sacrifices she made now would amount to a luxurious lifestyle for her parents later on in life. She hoped it would all be worth it.

Today, however, was not a normal day, not in the slightest. As she leaned back in her seat and looked up at the ceiling, the words of her enthusiastic roommate echoed in her mind. The third year, Haru Shima, had suggested joining the astronomy club, saying that she'd enjoy it quite a bit. It was certainly endearing that her roommate was already thinking about her. It left bittersweet taste in her mouth, knowing that her own older sister would never do anything so considerate. It wasn't that her older sister hated her; they were just...different.

Shaking her head, Chiyo closed her chemistry book and stuffed her school supplies into her book bag before pushing her chair back into the table and making a leave for the library. She clutched the chemistry book close to her chest. The first astronomy club meeting was today, according to what Haru had told her. While it disrupted her strict schedule, Chiyo decided to view it as a welcome change. Being new in foreign hallways, she figured it would be nice to learn a few names and faces. She also didn't want to disappoint Haru and not show up.

If she remembered correctly, the first meeting would be held on the auditorium roof top. Unfortunately, as Chiyo arrived at the rendezvous point that Haru had set up for them, she was nowhere to be seen. For a few moments, Chiyo chose not to panic. Perhaps Haru was simply running late. But as she checked the face of the tiny watch she had on, it seemed less likely that Haru would show up. Glancing around hurriedly, she tried not to appear panicked, however she could already feel her heart race and her brows furrow into a worried expression.

Deciding that it'd probably be a better idea if she tried to find the rooftop herself, Chiyo took off at a somewhat brisk place, glancing around for signs and directions. Three turns left, a wrong choice at a fork, and several wrong steps later, Chiyo declared herself hopelessly lost. Turning around and around, trying to recall herself, she figured it was useless if she continued. A small huff escaped from her lips as she continued glancing around. She managed to catch the sight of someone walking down the hallway, her beacon of hope. As the figure continued coming the hallway, her eyes widened at the height of the student. He was so tall! Almost like a skyscraper! Her gaze found his blonde hair and almost immediately, the image of Tamaki Suoh appeared in her mind. An embarrassed blush rose to her cheeks as she tried to shove the shoujo manga out of her mind, but in all honesty, she was becoming desperate.

"U-Um, excuse me, Tamaki-senpai! D-Do you know where the auditorium rooftop is?" A simple Freudian slip caused her face to go from pink to red in an instant and she tried to hide her hot face behind the chemistry book she held. Oh, how embarrassing indeed.

His formidable voice is as good as gold. Or crystal clear as a matter of fact. That's if one dares to challenge the man on the phone, in which the irresolute son would certainly shut down all connections within an instant, just to protect your pitiless life. Yet if one proclaims as such; do as you wish. Kazuko lean his back against the stone walls, with his mobile phone pressed against his left earlobe. Carefully, taking in the bitter batter on whatever his father wishes to express in a solemn tone. Although the blond student has experiences such rigged talks before hand. This was the first he is willing to admit his faults. Especially when it came to his equivocal future. "I understand father." Kazuko swiftly replied back, out of a mere habit to simply respect his father's desires. That being, any time, any where, even in hell. As a child like himself would never disobeys his father's words. Absolutely never.

Lead by silences from both ends of the line, he flicked his aqua grey hazes to the left. Where the auditorium happens to be located. A lone figure was spotted, who idly stood on top of the roof, before arranging the final preparations for the astronomy club's first meeting. As the only club which is held during the night time, it was expected everyone to attend the meeting. Or at least be considerate for the other members and show up. Strangely enough... the pisces himself as being one of them, and for once his old friend; Haru was not to be blamed.

"Kazuko? Are you still there?"

A voice questioned through his ear, jolting the third year back to reality. In haste, he shifted his sights away from the shadowed figure, to the queer boulder in front of him. "I'm still here father." He spoke out, confirming his ghostly presences. Pleased by the answer, the older male process to explain or in Kazuko's case; 'repeat' one's demands. Clarifying his needs, mending with his words, even enforcing his own son into recite his canny words. For many such processors is rather time consuming, heck it was simply annoying for anyone. Yet it's expected from a CEO, especially one who leads a famous gaming company. In short repetition was nothing, unless forced to tattoo it on their forehead. Something the blond haired prefers to keep quiet about.

Whiles the lone pisces enjoys the little chatter between his father and himself, time was an essences in which he cannot allow himself to waste no more. "I apologies father, but must go, there's a meeting I must attend." His father understood, and utter their good byes, before both hanged up within a matter of seconds. At ease Kazuko allowed himself to walk to the male dormitory, in need to gather a few nightly supplies. Like a jumper, and a notebook, before handing out to the meeting. Upon unlocking the door to his dorm, he poked his head inside to check if his roommate was anywhere to be found. "Kanou-kun are you still here?" Closing the door shut, he placed his bag onto of his bed, whiles opening his closet to grab his trademark coat.

A part of him wanted to stay in his dorm, and sleep through the shallow night until a new day appear. Or ditch the whole meeting all together and go for a nightly swim. Anything was better, then facing a certain student with such poised eyes and jet black hair. One, who also happens to be the leader of the astronomy club. Talk about an awkward dilemma. However Kazuko... just to put it bluntly. Is just too ******** kind for his own good. Unable to allow such selfish deeds crush his golden heart to pieces, it almost became a duty to remain loyal to the star gazing club. Despite the bitter fact, 'they' were once in a relationship. It's also been months since they broke up, and yet the third year continues to dwell upon the past.

Finally putting on his coat, he quickly sent Haru a text message before putting his mobile phone on silent.

                  - Kazuko

Although Kazuko was fine being alone even in club meetings, one night with a friend's company wouldn't hurt. Right? With eyes set on the door, he turned his attention onto the second year with a witted smiled. "Are you ready to go?" At least there were several reasons for his upcoming. Meeting Marie being one of them. Before the first year could give him an answer, a knock could be heard from the other side. Confused, Kazuko open the door to reveal a certain classmate; Haru. "Haru, good evening." Yet it seems the drama queen had other plans, one which strictly involves with non other then Shiori himself.

                                    • Hidden beneath the depths of blankets and sheets, laid the ever so lazy second-year. He had bundled himself into the center of the bed, where he had formed a pillow fort in his honor. There, he had no urge to leave his sanctuary, for he had a meeting this evening for a new particular club. Why he had signed up, Shiori wasn’t exactly sure. Perhaps the club’s popularity played a big toll on his decision. Or even the scandalous rumors he had heard previously in his first year. Neither would matter, as Haru had given him no choice but to sign on the black-dotted line. Without much resist, Shiori had agreed as if she had him wrapped around her finger. Which was not true, of course. But Shiori knew better than to step his boundaries and anger his senpai. Or his pretty little face would be left bruised and teary.

Still, he had made no attempt to leave the bed since returning from tennis club. After all, Kazuko’s bed was kept much cleaner and smelt of lavender detergent. Or some sort of flowery scent. It was for these very reasons that Shiori had abandoned his bed weeks prior. He had gotten into the awful habit of slipping into his roommates’ bed and stealing body heat without their consent. He would inevitably be caught by morning, but by then it did not matter.

His fingers began to twitch as he heard rustling coming from the doorknob. The voice was genuine, as it called out to him. "Kanou-kun are you still here?" Shiori debated whether or not he should open his eyes and leave his fabric walls. It was when Kazuko unintentionally placed his bulky bag onto Shiori’s ankle, that the discomfort was too much to bare. Unraveling himself from the covers, he slowly revealed his presence, although with no delight. His glossy hair spiked in all directions and crust began to harden within the corners of his eyes. ”Okahito-senpai, is this meeting even mandatory?” he questioned. Shiori sat on the edge of the bed, watching his senpai grab things out of the closet. Kazuko prepared himself in every way possible, knowing what to bring and what to wear. Whereas Shiori still lingered around in his pikachu boxers. Nothing about Shiori’s presence truly bother Kazuko. At least, not anymore. With the continuous struggles to keep Shiori at a distance, Kazuko eventually rendered his share of the bed. Now, not even ridiculous boxers fazed Kazuko.

Time was gradually passing, and yet Shiori dared not move. He began to rethink his decisions whether or not he truly wanted to attend these meetings. Night was the time to sleep; what Shiori was best at. Not wasting extra hours on a club that he wasn’t even interested in. It did not matter how popular the club had become. Or even the club itself. Shiori heard the rumors like everyone else. That it was a school function where hormones are allowed to run wild and teens hook up. Though he was sure there were members that went simply for the club’s sake, he wasn’t one of them. What place did Shiori fit into that equation? Did Haru intentionally invite him for that sole purpose? Though he was confident their relations were only platonic. At the moment. And when it came to girls, Haru was in her own league. No one in Shiori’s eyes could ever tempt him like Haru could. With no drop of motivation, he fell back onto the mattress and opened his app for flappy whores.

Speaking of the club brought someone to mind. It came to Shiori’s attention that Yoichi had also taken some interest in the astronomy club. Being Shiori’s classmate and former roomate, Yoichi had grown on Shiori just within the past year. Shiori had become accustomed to his pearly white smile and his sloppy life style, that every so often he felt almost urged to visit him. No he did not miss him. That's what girls would say. But he did feel compelled to check up on him every so often. Perhaps he too heard from an upperclassman about the club’s rumors. Or maybe had a knack for stargazing? Curiously, Shiori felt compelled to wonder why. There was no interest in the club beforehand, so what could have changed his mind? Or more so, who? Switching apps, he began to type a message.

Kazuko eyeing the door managed to check up on Shiori, while deep in thought. "Are you ready to go?", he asked, finally catching sight of Shiori. He had now realized that the teen was still naked, lying in bed playing flappy whores. Shiori could see that he caused Kazuko to become concerned about him, though didn't make any intentions of bulging. ”It’s okay, senpai,” he assured. ”I think I’ll miss this one. It’s fine.” Shiori was sure that Kazuko would allow him to get away with his lack-of-responsibility-like behavior, and would simply sum up the meeting to him when it was over. Everything was going quite well too. Shiori even got Kazuko to reach for the doorknob, when a sudden knock arrived.

Shiori’s eyes awoke from surprise and fear. His body catapulted from off the mattress, and desperately tried to stop him. But it was too late. Kazuko already opened the door. He caught a hold of her eyes before cowardly pulling away, as if he could rebel. But he knew what was coming. She was about to ride him out. And not the way he liked it. Shiori fell back onto the bed and shut his eyes. He was caught trying to ditch the meeting, and god knows Haru wouldn’t let him get away with it. Using brutal forcre was a specialty of hers, as she could never leave Shiori undamaged during these brief encounters. She through demands and threats at him so rapidly, Shiori had a hard time distinguishing this from her foreplay. ”Shima-senpai, I d-” his petty a** excuses were no match for Haru. She threw balled-up clothing at his face and demanded for him to get ready. Kazuko wouldn't dare get in the way of thier painful conversation. He had no choice, but to obey the drama queen.

There was a heavy bitterness in the light of his golden eyes as he gazed silently at the array of gear pieces set upon his table. He would mutter underneath his breath from time to time while slender fingers fiddled with the parts of his mechanical doll. But there was no real progress no matter how much he tried to fit the pieces into place, despite how many times he forced it to work. The mechanical doll, just like himself, refused to cooperate. Eventually in his frustration, the blonde lad hurled the invention across the room, the unwanted doll landing somewhere among the pile of clothes strewn on his side of the floor. He felt his chest tighten after realizing what he'd done, but against better judgement, burrowed his face onto his folded knees instead. A soft sigh escaped his lips as golden eyelashes fluttered to a close.

Yoichi felt himself give way to the exhaustion that lingered on his limbs. After all, he'd made every attempt during the whole day to avoid any unnecessary contact with other people, both "friends" and strangers alike. Regardless of his amiable countenance, Yoh lacked the ability to connect with other people because he was always afraid, shirking the responsibility of emotional attachment with anybody. But that same impediment prevented him from getting closer to the girl he had an interest in, no surprise there. Even today as he spent time in drama club, after classes had ended, Yoichi had done his best to minimize all conversation between the club members and himself. He was distant to an extreme fault, which ended up in situations where he dashed almost immediately back to his shared dorm with Cris, avoiding possible scenarios where he would have to talk to others after the club, and maybe even Haru-san. He was being foolish, that he understood, but there was no helping it.

The constant ringing of his phone's text tone ultimately brought Yoichi out of his thoughtful reverie. Grunting off his chair, the boy retreated towards his bed and reached for the brightly lit device sitting atop the disheveled covers. The name "Shi-kun" popped up on the screen, his thumb flicking across the glass screen to open his phone. Upon reading the brief message, Yoh's previously colorless cheeks bloomed into an embarrassed beet red. Shiori's instincts were always shockingly accurate, but maybe that came with the fact that they'd known each other for a year, having been previous roommates and currently classmates. Amid the blushing, Yoichi flashed a grin before his thumbs went to work to give Shiori a reply.

Yoh would never admit it out loud, but there was only one reason he joined the astronomy club. And he'd keep the reason to himself regardless of how many times Shiori tried to cajole him into telling, he'd probably keep it a secret until he had one foot stuck in his grave. Stuffing his phone inside his pocket, the blonde snatched a black hooded jacket off the top of his bed and exited his dorm room thanks to Shiori's text reminding him that the astronomy club's meeting would take place sometime soon. And he couldn't afford being tardy, since it wouldn't leave a great impression on the senpais. A senpai in particular.

As the gentle giant made his way rather sluggishly down the hallways, a soft yet high pitched voice caught him off guard. If not for her suddenly speaking, Yoichi would have never noticed the minuscule girl at all and would have, rather unfortunately, plowed on ahead and possibly knocked her off her feet. While she stood next to his six footed self, the girl appeared very much like a doll.. no, like a mouse. He took a complete halt in the middle of the hallway, blinking in a confused manner when she called him senpai.. Tamaki.. senpai? Soon, Yoh realized what it was she was asking. He hesitated initiating conversation with her at first, but knew it would be awfully rude of him to decline her plea of help when she specifically singled him out among a myriad of other students. "Hello, Tamaki-senpai speaking," he chuckled amused, though the laughter did not quite reach his eyes as he tilted his head down to glance at her petite figure. "Ah, you're going to the auditorium rooftop too? I'm on my way there as well actually. If you'd like, we could go there together?" Scratching the back of his head, Yoichi gave the small girl a friendly grin before setting off towards the direction of the auditorium rooftop. "I'm Yoichi by the way or uhh, Tamaki-senpai if you'd like," at this remark, he chuckled again. "And you are..?" he inquired with a slight lilt to his voice.

WHEREthe hallwaysxxWITHa tiny lil' mouse-san (chiyo)xxFEELINGamused

A lone boom box hooked up to an iPhone filled the large space of Watanabe Academy’s auditorium. The third year Shima, Haru lay sprawled on her back next to it, her eyes looking up toward the rigging above her body. Her lips moving to the words of the songs on the new playlist she had made for the Astronomy Club’s first meeting tonight. Her voice harmonizing with the songs as her mind was in a whole different place. The girl hadn’t moved in a few hours from the very spot she lay. Sure she had cleaned up the auditorium after the drama club meeting; making sure there was no trash laying around and that it would be perfect for tomorrow. But even cleaning the large space didn’t clear her mind of what was on it or more like who was on it. Haru’s head just filled with thoughts, ones she hoped a little bit of music could solve. It seemed though, that it only pushed her even further into the depths of her mind.

A deep and loud sigh escaped her lips, breaking the beautiful air of harmony that Haru had created with the boom box and her own voice in the large empty space. “He did it again.” She mumbled out, letting the words dissipate into the nothingness of the auditorium. The he she referred to was none other then a certain blonde god who yet again seemed to be avoiding everyone and anyone and most of all her. Haru didn’t understand why she took it so harshly or why she felt that he seemed to avoid her the most out of everyone. Maybe it was the fact that she felt sorry for his solitary ways, understanding what it feels like to be so alone. Or just maybe it annoyed her that he was one of the only ones in this entire school to truly ignore her. She could have sworn she saw him dash out of the auditorium right after drama club was over after he saw her. It was just so irritating, he seems like he was running away from her. Haru just didn’t get why he does it, does she repulse him in some way or something? It was all so frustrating to her. Another loud sigh escapes her lips as a balled fist slams into the floor paneling. “Damn him.” She was putting way too much thought into this.

Finally siting up from her position on the floor, having enough with her constant thoughts about him, her fingers reached over to her phone. She quickly unhooked it from the boom box, and looked at the time. Her dark brown eyes widening in horror as she saw the time. She only thought that she had been lying around the auditorium for a few minutes, not hours. She couldn’t understand where the time had gone, much less the day. She had so much to do, most of all the first Astronomy Club meeting. Sure she didn’t actually want to go to the meeting, she was never really interested in hooking up on a roof top or sitting next to those that were. It was just so awkward in her opinion. But she knew it would look bad if she didn’t show up. This year would make it her third and final year in the Astronomy Club but not only that she was the one that had well more like forcing people to sign up for it. Sure it wasn’t her club but it was Cris’s. Even though she really had not heard from him in months, having a major fall out with him last year thanks to the very club she now manned, she still wanted him as her friend. So when she heard he was taking over as president of the Astronomy Club Haru could not stop herself from helping him out. So she had to go if not just for him.

Moving quickly off of her feet she moved straight to her very large bag, her hand moving through it until she pulled out the outfit she wanted to wear tonight. She was glad she had thought ahead and put it in there, if she had to go all the way back to her dorm to get it she would grow even more annoyed. Right now she did not need anymore delay, she was already running late. Stripping down to just her underwear right then and there on the stage, removing her school uniform and bra to replace it with a much better and much more fashionable outfit that matched the night’s festivities. Next she removes matching heels from out of her bag, wanting to add a little bit of height to her vertically challenged body, and put them on before placing her school uniform inside the bag.

With that she left the auditorium, moving quickly and with determination toward what she needed to do before the meeting started. The first of which was picking up a certain lazy a** second year. She was on a mission to not be late to Cris’s meeting so he had better be ready like she head warned him. Her body making it’s way into the boy’s dorm as her cell phone went off. A Cheshire like grin crossing her face as the lyrics “Booty, booty, booty, booty, rockin' everywhere” echoing the hallways earning her even weirder looks then she was getting before for the outfit she was wearing. But really she could care less what they thought, people should be used to how she was and if they were first years they would be soon enough. Her slender fingers moving to light up the screen of her iPhone as she saw her beautiful Kabooty’s message. Finally seeing some good news, her best friend would be coming tonight, so maybe the night wouldn’t be a total loss and maybe just maybe he wanted to bring someone a long. Haru secretly hoping it was some new love, he deserved it and needed it after the break up with well…yeah. She began to make quick work of a reply as she headed toward Shiori’s room. Standing outside of it as she typed :

                          SENDER: Haru Shima
                          RECIPIENT: Kazuko Okahito

Oooo Kazu-kun does that mean you are coming along?!
And may I ask who your plus one will be…hmmm?! Do I know him/her?
                          Haru~

Right as she sent the message her ears picked up the sound of Kazuko. Her eyes blinked as she faced toward Shiori’s door, hearing Kazuko on the other side of it. Was Kazu his roommate this year? She sighed, if that were the case she probably could have just asked him her questions in person, it would have been an easier and quicker way of getting the information out of him and plus he was a terrible liar when it came face to face. Her hand moving to knock on the door as she finally began to hear the guy she came to fetch. ”I think I’ll missed this one. It’s fine.” Her eyebrow twitched a bit like this, as if she would let him miss it. Her hand forcefully knocked on the door now, wanting to be let in. When the door opened thanks to Kazuko, who she politely nodded to before her dark eyes locked right on her target, her ex boyfriend Shiori. Her eyes sized him up and down, not like there was much there to size up but she did notice he was still in boxers, and Pikachu ones at that. He wasn’t ready at all and she had actually given him more time to get ready. So he had no ******** excuse. Now she was defiantly going to be late and she still had to go get her new roommate Chiyo. Poor Chiyo…she probably thought that she had forgotten about her. Haru hoped that she would wait for her, she wouldn't want the tiny first year getting lost or something. If she did and she had to go find her, making her even more late, she would blame it all on Shiori. That poor girl, she felt bad for making her wait but she was coming...as fast as she could get this jerk moving. Which could be a while.

Haru crossed her arms over her chest, her foot began to tap on the ground as she glared at him, almost without words asking him, “Well are you going to get ready or am I going to have to make you?” And as if it was his answer, he fell back onto one of the beds, which she could only assume wasn’t his and shut his eyes. “God damnit Shio..I..uh…Kanou! You lazy a*****e you better get out of that bed or I swear to god I will force you out of it. Just because I am in heels doesn’t mean I can’t!” She yelled at him probably loud enough for the whole boys dorm to hear her but he had it coming. She needed to get going, and if she had to drag him to Cris’s Astronomy Club meeting she would. She would also enjoy every step up to the roof of the auditorium, willing his head to hit each stair as she dragged him up them. “Better yet why don’t I just use them!” She threatens again as she looked over to Kazuko, he must think it completely odd of her to be here and doing this to his new roommate. It wasn’t like she had ever told him about her past with him but right now she knew he wouldn’t get in her way. Later though he would be asking questions and she would need a good excuse to make that question go away. “Which dresser is his?” She demanded of her friend before being pointed in the right direction. Haru made quick work of the dresser, picking out a nice outfit for Shiori to wear tonight.

”Shima-senpai, I d-” was all she heard from him before she pulled him by his leg, out of the bed and onto the floor. Her eyes watching as his head hit the ground cutting his weak a** excuse short. “As you were saying?” She asked mockingly, one hand on her hip and the other full of his clothes she expected him to wear, throwing them into his face. “Now put them on like a big boy or trust me you will be sorry.” Haru said all too sweetly, lowering to get eye level with him, looking him straight in the eye as her finger moved his chin up locking gazes with him as she grinned. “You know I hate it when I am late and you better not make me late and anyways you promised me you would come…you wouldn’t want to break your promise to me now would you Kanou?” She asks him still with that too sweet of a tone, her breath dancing across his lips before pulling back. “Now get ready we have to go, and I mean now.”

Standing up straight and straightening her skirt as she moved back to Kazuko and smiled like none of those events ever happened. Resting her body on the wall next to him as she waited. “So Kazu please tell me your plus one you were talking about was not that lazy bum over there but maybe a new special someone?” She asked him hopefully, a now soft and gentle smile on her face as she looked to her friend as the other male dressed. Haru reiterating her text message to him since she would find it weird texting him about it when they were in the same room.

Right after she finished dinner Marie decided to go back to her dorm to study. It was a long and busy day and she has tons of work to do. There was also going to be a club meeting held on the auditorium’s roof. Marie was never really a social person, but when you’re in a club you just have to communicate a bit more. Possibly getting close to anyone made her have expectations which were never met.

Marie reached her room and took out her math textbook. They were very basic things that she had already covered on her own. Well the semester did just start recently, so the what they’re doing shouldn’t be all that hard for now. She closed the book and put it aside.

Maybe she was just not in the mood to be doing anything. Marie remembered that she had to go help out Cris for the astronomy club’s meeting. Instead of going right ahead she decided to lie down on her bed and rest a bit. She looked at her phone to look at the time, it was around 7. Marie looked at today’s date and then realized that it was going to be her brothers birthday tomorrow. It had been years since they celebrated a his birthday as a family. Marie let her phone drop to the bed and closed her eyes.

Her eyes lingered on page 342 of the book she held. A certain line on the page kept repeating itself in her mind constantly. ‘I will turn into dust and disperse. It’ll end everything.’ She closed the book and left it on the ground. The red hardcover book laid peacefully on the grass. Suddenly the pages started turning by themselves due to a harsh wind that wafted through the forest.

Marie got up and started running away from the forest. She stumbled and fell to the ground because of a rock she came in contact with. Her brown locks covered her face so she gently flipped her hair away to get a better vision. In front of her was a dog. A pug to be exact, and not just any pug. It was Pan-pan, her dead dog. She was about to bring it up to her and hold it in her arms, but before her eyes. It turned into sparkling dust which...dispersed into the air.

The area turned all white and the forest and the grass field was gone. Her ears caught the sound of a piano playing a very familiar song. She knew the song but, she forgot the name for it. Marie tried to recall it but all she could remember is the word ‘Path’ which was in the title for it.

On her right she saw her dad playing the song on a black grand piano. She turned to her left there was her mother painting someone’s face on a canvas while humming the tune of the song. They both looked really happy and it made Marie smile. In front of her on the ground was a red string connecting her parents together. She lifted it up to examine it on her palm, but just then it started disintegrating. It turned into red dust on her palms while the strings got detached and formed two separate ones. Tears started rolling down from her eyes but she couldn’t understand what happened. Her dad continued playing the song and her mom kept painting. Marie dropped what was left of the once connected string and turned around.

Upon turning around she found a mirror which stood all along behind her. The reflection was of her wearing a beautiful plain white dress and she was barefooted. Beside her was Aoi, her big brother, dressed in all black. He was holding her hand and Marie looked happy. They both looked happy honestly, and Aoi had an endearing smile. But that smile faded in about a second and he now had a very nonchalant expressions. He didn’t seem happy neither sad, it was just plain. Aoi let go of his sister’s hand and left. Only the actual Marie was on the showing her unexplainable tears streaming down.

Her feet could feel something cold and wet so she looked down to check what it was. It was sparkling clear water under her feet. The ground vanished and she got pulled into the water. Marie was floating inside of the liquid and she could see a light shining through it. A few blurry faces looked at her from above and yelled out to her, and then left immediately. Her vision started becoming gradually hazier and hazier, until she could see no light but only darkness.

Slowly Maries dark brown eyes opened up to see the room's ceiling. The brunette could hear people from the other room shouting, which had perhaps awoken her. ‘So it was just a dream...wait so I fell asleep?’ She got up and took grabbed her phone to check the time. It hadn’t been too long, only about 15 minutes or so had passed. Marie recalled that she had to go to the meeting. She believed that tardiness will not be acceptable so she rushed out of her room to go the auditorium.

It was a beautiful evening and hopefully the meeting won’t be too long. Marie was pretty tired so she just wanted to get over with it. She reached the auditorium and went up to the rooftop. She was expecting for the roof to be ready for their meeting but instead, she just found a dude with a wolf mask and supplies. Was this boy trying to mess up the meeting or something. Though on the bright side Marie wasn’t late because no one was there.

“Who are you supposed to be? Whoever you are I hope you’re not trying to mess up our plans”
Her voice sounded nonchalant yet a bit cold.

She went up to the male and decided to take off the mask. It slid off with her hand gently guiding it towards his black head and then finally pulling it off to reveal the man. It was the man with beautiful dark blue eyes and jet black hair. It was Cris, the president. They knew each other but were never close friends, and Marie didn't really plan on getting close to someone with such a bad reputation.

“I’m sorry I thought you were a prankster trying to sabotage the meeting...”
Marie looked at him with her tired brown eyes spoke to him in her calm voice. Then she placed the mask down by the other materials.

"Aaaaaand I think that's it!" With a pucker of lips and an excited bounce, Aiko continued to look in the mirror so she could see if she was on her road to perfection - not like she already wasn't perfection, but - and a proud smile appeared on her lips when she was satisfied. With a dress smoothed just right, her hair curled to the side, she pulled her fingers through only to click her tongue discontentedly at the blonde that was slowly fading out at the ends. This school was amazing in terms of opportunity and academic, but the stifling rules? She could live without them. She really did miss having blonde hair, after all. Made her look completely american.

But that was besides the point. Puffing out her cheeks, she waltzed out of her dorm only to be met with a good group of friends. She had somewhere to go - a meeting was it with her club? But she couldn't help it if she was a little late. After all, she had to be friendly with absolutely everyone or she couldn't possibly be a good friend! They would just have to wait. Besides, there were plenty of other first years for them to harass while she wasn't there.

"Hey guys." She chirped, a smile on her face as they turned and began to talk to her as if she had been there all along. She really did enjoy the fact that although she hadn't been here long, she had made friends with a snap of a finger. Of course she had almost always had this sort of gift, it just came naturally to have people love her and for her to love them in return. Was that so bad? She didn't think so. She didn't believe in enemies.

Hey, don't you have your club to go to? Huffing, Aiko checked the clock on the wall and shrugged.

"But I don't want to leave you." She whined, clinging onto her friends' shoulders. With a laugh, the friend pushed her off.

                                                  Go on.

With a slight pout, she made her way up flights of stairs only to be greeted by an almost chilling breeze. Spreading her lips into an easygoing smile, she was about to twirl into the situation, when she felt the tension and she stopped, her face now borderline blank. Walking up closer, she tilted her head as she leaned forward, her hands clasped behind her back. "Am I interrupting something?"

Turning her head towards Marie-senpai, and then at Chrissy, she offered a comforting smile. "Was this bad timing? Should I come back later?"

Tap. Tap. Tap. Three taps, and it enough to signal the third year. That the lone women within the male dorm, was in fact not pleased with the lack of development with his roommate. Since entering the shared dorm his presences soon subsided, as his roommate’s indolent attitude was quickly replaced with the need to make an hasty excuse. Yet as expected from the drama queen; Haru was having none for his pity words. As she took upon herself to scowl the lazy one. With such a deafening voice. Loud enough to wake all the kings and queens around the world from their heavy slumber. Kazuko didn’t stood a chance to save the burnet, much to his misfortune as he stood right in the middle of the one sided quarrel. Taking cover in sandwiching his ears to refrain from becoming deaf, even then her words are crystal clear. The foreigner has long gotten use to the wild mayhem delivered by Haru herself. He knew from personal experiences, when to not interfere with one’s dispute. Although it didn’t stop the kind hearted from trying. ”Uh Haru maybe you sho--” The blacked haired quickly cut him off, demanded the location of Shiori’s wardrobe. Wary of his next answer, he allowed his finger to do the talking, pointing to the wooden cupboard on the near right.

Sorry Shiori, despite their long term friendship. There are times when even the drama queen is impossible to tame. Kazuko mentally thought to himself. However soon he couldn’t contain a giggling fit as Haru dragged the possessive taurus out of the bed. Clothes were thrown at one end of the room, whiles demanding to slender one to quickly dress up. With such a voice of strawberry cheesecake with a sweeten glacé on top. Kazuko knew better to trust the impatient one. Especially when the term 'motherly' never weighted on her well. Allowing his fellow classmate to hassle his roommate however she pleases. Kazuko found himself picking up the clothes which are scattered across the floor. Just narrowing missing the close contact between the two. Ever so slowly, she danced her fingers down Shiroi’s unblemished face, lacings her fingers under his chin. Before titling his his face up to her direction, in a rough manner. Yet careful enough, to allow their sights to interlock with one another. And for once in Kazuko's life; strawberry cheesecake never sounded so attractive. Though anyone could easily be temped under the influences of one within sight. Haru on the other hand, never made anything appealing before.

In translation: the lone pisces was utterly confuse.

Kazuko knew it was rude to pry on one’s privacy. Yet it didn’t stop the foreigner from reading the atmosphere around him. Placing Shiori’s clothes aside, loping into one pile on his bed. He allowed himself to sit back and watch every word escape her thin lips. For many, people would simply point out a third year is hassling the poor second year. However his sensitive mind said otherwise. It doesn't take a cupid to notice there was something going on between the two. Shiori and Haru are in... nah. No. Wait... maybe? Haru is indeed unpredictably at times, however the blond student didn't think she would swing for pretty guys. Much alone his newly roommate, who clings onto his sleep when resting his tired eyes for the night. Wandering around the room half naked, leaving the voiceless pisces to clean after him. Such news baffled him. But overall it wouldn't make him think less of her anyways. Let alone question the relationship between the two.

“So Kazu please tell me your plus one you were talking about was not that lazy bum over there but maybe a new special someone?”

He nodded as if it was a laughing matter. Whiles keeping close attention to the brunet in front of him. Whereas his hands began working on finishing up the mess, by folding his clothes which once laid on the floor. Although much was to blame on his fellow classmate, he did not need to voice out such misdeed. "Somewhere along the line, Shiori is indeed our plus one." Finishing folding all of the clothes into a nice pile, he placed them into Shiori's closet. Kazuko knew he was spoiling the second year senseless, continuing to contribute to his lethargic ways. Yet remain silence as Haru's lingering words dwell deep within his mind. A special someone...huh? His grey hue eyes cast over to celling in a melodramatic manner. Cris was one. 'Was' though. Was. "No one special... yet." Suppressing a grim smile, he stood up in need to change the indirect subject. Putting his hands in his pocket, his attention now turns to Haru's outfit.

"Um Haru... before we go." Turning his head towards the second year in hope his ready to go, before shifting his sights back onto the fair maiden. "Would you like to wear a borrow jumper, uh, because you know how the meeting is going to held on top of the rooftop... and it's going to be cold and all." Again the blond was babbling, but at least he was looking out for his friend.

Cris tugged at his uniform ever so slightly and was glad that he haven't changed to his outfit yet. Dirt would have occupied the creases on his sleeves if he allowed himself the luxury of wearing what he had in mind. Slowly, he hefted a few boxes out of the way, until a voice cut through his concentration. A few moments later, soft fingers ripped his mask off of his face and suspended his reaction for a few seconds.

"Hey wait- what are you-," His stammered as he focused on his sudden assailant. Assailant was not the word for her though. A tall, willowy girl with light brown hair came into focus. Aria Marie had this cold look plastered on her face, which took Cris a moment to realize that it was directed at him. Perhaps his assessment of wearing the wolf mask was wrong and he should have left it for later, when everyone finally showed up. "It's just me Arai-san. Nothing to worry about," he reassured her. Although reassuring Marie has become his goal lately, he still felt wary around the girl. Those eyes just made it look as though she knew more about his life than he's letting on. He wondered how much she knew about his tragic secret relationship with the son of her parent's boss.

He almost raised his two hands to prove innocence, but remembered the box he was carrying. He smiled sheepishly at her after reigning in his confidence. "No one's around yet, so I've been doing all the preparations. It would be great if you could help me with more of your ideas?" He hinted towards the girl. Marie, though, seemed prepared for the meeting with her outfit, and Cris didn't want to mess her look for the night. "On second thought, maybe-" his eyes lingered on top of Marie's head and into the door, where a very familiar lovely creature stood. "Maybe you could help our new member around. No, actually, keep this and blindfold her later okay," It didn't take him a second thought to put the box down before leaning towards Marie's ear and whispering the last part to her. He caught one of her hands with his and gave her the black handkerchief that was meant for later's festivities.

"Come in Aiko-chan ~" he left Marie's side and came to hug Aiko, until he realized how messy he must have been. He stopped on his tracks and lightly gave her a comforting pat in the head. The surprise of seeing the Libra here took him slightly off guard, and he couldn't help laughter from escaping his lips. "Come, I'll introduce you two," he went behind Aiko, placed his two hands on her shoulders and lightly pushed her towards Marie. "Arai-san, meet Sakurano Aiko. Aiko-chan this is Marie, Arai Marie," he glanced from one girl to the other and gave Aiko a pat on the back. He missed Aiko-chan, and the sight of her brought memories back to life. Happy memories of childhood infatuation, first kiss and running wildly without a care in the world filled his thoughts as he tightened his hold on Aiko's shoulder before dropping it. "I'd go and change for a while girls. I'll be right back," he said happily as he turned his back on them. Now was not the time to relish the past. He could have all his chances later with Aiko. Now, he had to reign in the old members of the club, before the place starts filling in with newbies.

After all his reflecting, he still couldn't send Kazu a text. His hands hovered over his name a dozen times in the past, but he couldn't hit the send button no matter how hard he steeled himself. His thoughts went to their inevitable meeting which would happen later, and tried to perish the thought. He focused instead on buttoning his black, slightly see-through polo with one white stripe running the cloth's length on its left, and zippering close his khaki-colored skinny jeans.

Chiyo couldn't help but give a sigh of relief after hearing that the tall student was also heading to the auditorium rooftop as well. Shyly, she nodded at his proposition and followed after him quietly, still clutching onto her textbook for dear life. She had noticed that he was in a black hoodie that deviated from the standard dress code of the school and she wondered whether she should've gone back to the dorm and changed into something a little warmer. Then again, she remembered that she had packed a somewhat baggy sweater in her bag, in case she got cold in the library. She would have liked to change out of the uniform, but since she had been so afraid of missing Haru at the rendezvous point, she hadn't bothered.

Her thoughts had wandered slightly as she thought about the first astronomy club meeting. She had heard from her fellow first year students that the club had gained popularity because of its past-curfew meeting time and that a lot of students "hooked up"--whatever that meant. After hearing the term for the first time, she had texted her sister, wanting to know what it meant; the response she got was an "LOL" and a "You'll find out soon enough~" followed by a winking emoticon. Chiyo had considered asking Haru what it meant but felt that their relationship hadn't evolved to the point that she could ask such things just yet; she was still trying to get used to calling her by her first name.

All of a sudden, the skyscraper student had spoken, introducing himself with his real name and then the name Chiyo had accidentally given him. Almost immediately, her face flamed red and she hid behind the chemistry book that she held.

"S-Sorry, I didn't mean to call you that. I-I'm new here and I don't know very many people and you reminded me of someone..." She quickly trailed off, realizing that she was only digging herself into an even deeper, more embarrassing hole. As she tried to get her face back to its normal color, she realized that he had asked her for her name.

"Hanasaki! My name is Chiyo Hanasaki. I-It's nice to meet you, Yoichi-senpai," she said, giving a bow in his direction. For someone so tall, Chiyo realized that he might actually be friendly. Could it be possible that he could be her first friend at Watanabe Academy, not counting Haru? Chiyo didn't count Haru because they were roommates, so it was only natural for the two girls to eventually become friends. At least, that's what she thought.

As she took in her surroundings, she noticed that there weren't many students out. She couldn't help but wonder if the other students were out at dinner or perhaps studying in their own dorms. She was a little wary, being out so late (it actually wasn't even that late) instead of being in her room, studying, but she continued to tell herself that this was a good thing; she was finally given the chance to open up her social circle and break away from the habits of her past.

Chiyo glanced over at the skyscraper that walked by her side and saw that he was extremely relaxed. Was it because gravity was bringing him down? According to physics, it would seem rather likely. She thought about what would happen, should he ever trip and she be in his way. Almost immediately, she saw herself being squished like a pancake beneath him. Speaking of pancakes, his blonde hair had looked somewhat familiar. Sure, there were other students who were also blonde, either because of foreign genes or because of hair dye, but something about his hair seemed vaguely familiar. She tried to think of where she might have seen him, besides a shoujo anime.

                                            "Yoichi-senpai...are you...also in cooking class?"

Cris raised his arms in the air in front of her as if Marie was some kind of officer. Well that idea didn’t seem that bad, she’d make a great police woman. Marie nodded at him and apologized once more quietly under her breath, which he probably didn’t catch. No one was around yet. Looks like everyone was a bit busy and still taking their time getting here. The roof was vast, just like the auditorium it covered. Though she would have chosen an indoor location for the meeting, since you never know what might happen outside.

He tried to instruct her to do some preparations for the meeting. The wind might blow away the props, or it might start raining. She liked taking precautions, but she trusted Cris on this one. A light wind picked up a bit as she listened to Cris. Her hair came over and hugged her entire face due to the force. Thankfully it was short and stopped quickly. She tucked her hair behind her ear. The sweet scent of apples entered her nose. Cris stopped speaking for a se and came over to her ear and whispered to her to blind fold Aiko later on in their meeting.

Cris kindly introduced the two girls. Little did he know that they were roommates. “Oh we’ve already met, she’s my new roommate Cris. I didn’t really expect her to be in the same club though.” She looked over at Aiko and gave her a smile and said “Nice to see you here though.” She looked over at the Cris and noticed how pleased he looked for a moment their. Though Marie usually saw him as pathetic fool...and he still is one to him. Forever and always. He had his arm firmly wrapped around Aiko’s shoulder and gave off a cheery vibe.

Cris soon released the girl from his grasp and said that hed be going off for a moment. He left the two females alone. Marie didn’t really get the chance to know her well. Maybe it’s a good time to converse a bit. “So Aiko are you into Astrology? I find it pretty interesting so I joined. IT’s fun way of meeting new people” She tried small talking with her with a her plain nonchalant demeanor. She looked up in the night sky and gazed at stars for a moment. Most of them were dimmed due to light pollution but they were still visible. She looked back at her and asked “So what made you join the club?”

Suddenly the door opened up and a familiar face appeared. It was an upperclassman named Airi Sasaki. She came up to them with her friendly atmosphere and brought out a bottle of wine while greeting them. “Oh hey Sasaki-senpai...” said Marie. Her dark brown eyes scanned her from head to toe. She was wearing a pink bralet and a striped skirt to go with it, and her black hair flowed down to her bottom.

She looked away and said “Have you met Aiko? She’s one of our newest members.” Marie looked back at her and asked if they had met before, then she noticed the wine she was holding. It was something that her mom would usually take out when she invited people over for dinner, especially Mr.Okahito. She generally never drinks however. Where was Kazuko anyways? They haven't really talked much lately, well not much interaction happened after they entered high school. Well he had his own issues and she had her own anyways. He was practically the only person in the academy knew her well enough and actually saw what went on with her life. But he was a pathetic murder as well…

“Do you enjoy drinking? I may be half french but my dad always refused wine for me.”
Thoughts aside, she felt wary of her bringing wine. Marie never drank any form of alcohol. She never experienced being drunk and she’d rather not. Red wine may not have a high alcohol content, she still refused to drink it since that’s just how she brought up. Wine specifically remind her of past occurrences though.
