                                            Charlie Leo Claude

Try this trick and spin it, yeah
                                            Your head will collapse

Felix had winked at Jenn, but he figured that was considerably tame in comparison. So far, so good. Jenn seemed to have a particularly disgusted reaction though, which made Charlie think perhaps it wasn't just the wink that put her off. Felix did get around... maybe he had got her drunk or something? "You've always been someone I could trust Charlie, I really like that about you. Don't change for anybody." The words were very unexpected. She trusted him?

"With this you can trust me." He said, frowning a little. The topic of France came up, and Charlie simply shrugged. He was feeling a little guilty about his intentions now, and her next suggestion made him retreat further into his calm, stony persona. "Yeah, whatever you feel like. I don't know if he'll be back though, he tend to run off unexpectedly. I don't particularly want you frolicking with some heroine addicts in the back alleys, but I will certainly not follow you back to a hotel room with your handsome stranger should the situation occur." He managed a smile then, and his eyes brightened with the prospect of a mission.

"I really hope we get called out. I'm going crazy couped up in here..." He said honestly, looking around for Felix. "I think we've been stood up." Charlie thought through the situation. He was getting more and more excited about the idea of France with Jenn. Was it wrong of him to think she was attractive? No, it certainly was not. She was the most attractive woman at the academy, at least according to him, and she had this power over him. He'd never let her know that though, because it was a weakness, and he chose not to be weak. Charlie appeased himself by convincing his own mind that he was only attracted to her delicious face and unjustifiably pleasant figure, rather than her personality. Because if it was the latter, he would be in trouble.

"How about this..." He began, a slight grin on his lips. "We'll leave, go to France, and you let me show you my favourite spot there. It is exquisite. Then we'll get a few drinks, I'll be your wingman, or your protector- whichever you feel in the mood for- and then we'll meet up in the morning. Sound reasonable?" He proposed, looking to Jenn hopefully. She really did have the most amazing eyes.

                                            But there's nothing in it
                                            And you'll ask yourself

                                            Where is my mind?

S H I NH A N

It's the certainty that there is only darkness.

Shin stopped strumming and continued to stare at the wall. The white, white wall. It was mesmerizing as anything would be if you stared at it long enough. He couldn't have guessed how much time went by, but he blinked a few times and broke from the trance. He looked around. The lights were left on, but the yellow tinged natural lighting has faded.

He considered looking at the clock at his bedside. Considered. But it wasn't worth the effort for the knowledge. He'd find out sooner or later if it was important. For now, Shin was mildly bored once more. Ah, his natural state of being. He half-smirked as he left his room and entered the kitchen, where he spent a good chunk of his morning. "Hm.. I wonder where Jennifer is." He asked to no one in particular, most of the day already beginning to blur into a strange coagulation.

[WELP. I have no idea where anyone is. So a blank post for now.]

" Always r e m e m b e r ... a Fox can still B I T E you to death "

Estrella took a swing of her beer as waited to hear what Darius thouaght about her pupusa. It's a traditional Salvadoran dish made of thick, hand-made corn tortilla that is usually filled with a blend of the following: cheese, cooked pork meat ground to a paste consistency called chicharrón, refried beans, or cheese with loroco. Loroco is a vine flower bud from Central America. Pupusas are typically served with curtido (lightly fermented cabbage slaw with red chilies and vinegar) and a watery tomato salsa. Esa was very pleased to hear that Darius loved her cooking and replied, "I am glad you like them and don't have to tell me twice" She giggled a little before she eat her food. Estrella smirk and said, 'Okay I'll leave yeah the dishes this time okay but only this time okay Darius"

She slightly shakes her head for Estrella didn't like having her guest clean after them self. After all she did invite Darius to diner but today she didn't feel like fighting over with something so silly with him about the dishes. "So anything with English giving you trouble" asked Darius in a curious tone. Esa just sighed deeply and replied, 'No not really it's just that it seems that when ever I get nervous or excited I forget all my English...oh I just wish I could master this English soon" She sighed a little more for Estrella had some what made a fool of herself in front of Charlie again it seems. "Also you have to show me how to make these" Darius mentioned as he pointed at the half eaten plate of pupusa. Estrella just giggled and said before taking another swing from her beer, " Okay Darius I'll show you who to make them next time." She watched as Darius finish his plate, took her now dirty plate, and began to wash them. While Esa silently watched him she couldn't help think what he had said earlier. Estrella took her last big swing of beer and says, "Hey Darius,..What did you mean about Shin being weak in the knees around me. Is that a bad thing or a good thing?..I would think its bad since being weak in knees or any another parts of the body would be harmful and difficult for someone in battle..Right?" Estrella titled her head curiously as she waited for him to answer her questions.

Jenn gave Charlie a small smile at his comment about Felix, and the hint of protectiveness he had for her. "Charlie, you know I'll probably end up with a woman if I'm too buzzed, if not, no one at all. "Giving him a meek smile as she look off towards where she came from as to where Felix was. Charlie had a good point, he had probably taken off, but she sat there, looking past charlie and out the door with a finger on her lip before bowing her head and shaking it. "That promiscuous little tyrant!.. I bet he's gleaming over his latest catch, some new boy or girl telling them they're the world to him, before running off the next morning with another..." Jenn looked like her eyes could set the boy on fire had he been standing in front of her.

Sighing as she shook off her rage, at least she had Charlie, a stone respective gentleman. "Yes, I wouldn't mind a mission either, then I could rip off someones face and pretend they're our stupid little french boy..." Anger returning before fading as she took a breath. "Charlie, you have no idea how happy that would make me with how today has gone. Its men like you that give me hope for the males in our society, I really do hope you find someone, someday, they're going to be very lucky to have a catch like you." giving a playful joust of her fist to the side of his arm.

A look of irritation flashed on her face at Felix being so late. "You're right, leave that little brat to his frolicking of beds, lets have fun. He'd probably hold us back like he is right now, if we managed to drag him there." grumbling the last bit off her tongue as she sat back a pleasantly waiting for things to get moving.

Drew lowered his hand from his head, placing them both in his lap. He seemed to relax when it was made apparent that they both enjoyed it, as if he had been expecting something else. Raven was sure it was delicious, but then again she didn’t exactly have the best or longest list of dishes to compare it to. "Ha ha... I'm really glad you both like it," he said, a rather adorable blush sneaking onto his cheeks. He looked sheepishly delighted, although he kept his eyes steadily focused on the table top. His shyness was only endearing to Raven, who had involuntarily smiled at Drew's display of sweetness. Milan asked what was in it, and Drew rattled off lists of ingredients, he sounded a little unsure at the end of his sentence though.

When she offered Drew the rest of her meal, she had been expecting the result, but was surprised in the way it was delivered. "... Finish it?" Drew squeaked, suddenly rigid with an unnaturally straight posture. As the colour drained from his face, Raven looked worried and shied back, unsure of what she had said wrong. It took awhile for Drew to answer, and then the reply was stunted and too much of an objection. He cleared his throat, blushing further, when he realised his voice had been somewhat too loud for their close proximity.

“O-okay, thanks.” She replied meekly, looking to Milan briefly for some kind of explanation.

Drew seemed happy to comply with Raven’s strange request, and his hand fumbled for a moment, reaching for something inside the pocket of his jeans. Raven’s eyes were glued to his hands, highly curious about what weapon could possibly be fit inside his jeans. Was her weapon the only horridly enormous, brutish one? "Th... this is my weapon." He confirmed, placing something on the table and grasping what looked like a small dagger in his other hand. "It's a Greek Parazonium dagger. I-It's a bit weird how they gave me something so close-ranged when I'm so freaked out by germs." As Drew smiled nervously, Raven sighed in relief. He wasn’t anorexic and she hadn’t committed some terrible social discourse. It made her wonder what other little quirks he had, perhaps because of whatever was going on in his mind that he was required to take medication.

She couldn’t help but notice the strangeness of the weapon they each had been given. They seemed like they just didn’t suit. Drew hated touching, germs, and proximity, but his weapon forced him to be in the centre of the action. Milan seemed like he should have a calculated, precise weapon, and yet he did not. Raven herself had a monstrous thing, and she had no idea how she would ever learn to use it. The thought was a little disheartening. However, thinking of such things distracted her from her losses. Milan said something pensive to himself, but Raven was too distracted to hear what it was.

“That is rather interesting, Drew. You’ll have to show me how you use it some time.” She smiled gently, trying to imagine it. Raven stifled a yawn, leaning her elbow on the table and cupping her cheek in her hand to support her heavy head. “So.. Let me get this straight- and interrupt me if I’m wrong- we... are here, at this academy, because of those creatures, right?” She paused, allowing for comments. “And now we can live here freely, and eat and bathe and whatnot, but we are required to return their favour by hunting these monsters?” It seemed... realistic. The people who wanted the creatures dead would be those affected by them; survivors like herself, Milan and Drew. Another yawn, this one she couldn’t hide. It was only mid afternoon, but she was exhausted. After eating though, she actually felt a lot better. The colour was returning to her, and she didn’t feel as weak. To demonstrate this, she stood slowly, and smiled radiantly when she found her legs held her. “Hah!” She said victoriously, before walking slowly around the apartment. She used her arms to hold onto surfaces, just in case she fell, but the food had been the missing factor in her well-being. Her injuries still hurt of course, but they could’ve been a lot worse if Casper... Casper.

Raven took a deep breath as she stood at the doorway of her bedroom. It was beautiful. She closed her eyes, and she could feel him in the room. Not his physical being, she wasn’t insane just yet, but she could feel what was essentially him. His presence, his love for her. It was far too real, and had to wipe her eyes again. When she walked into the room slowly, all she could see was him. Casper pulling open the doors of their cupboard, grinning with his bright eyes at their good fortune and sitting on the edge of their bed. She walked to sit next to him, putting her hand where his would’ve been, and lying back onto the soft bed. It smelt faintly of lavender.

Raven. She heard him say, his voice low and drenched in unsaid words, and then he was gone.

Only when she woke up did she realise she had been asleep. She found herself curled up in a tight ball, and to her amazement, she felt much better. Raven stood and crept around the room to her cupboard, she felt like if she made noise it would ruin this fantasy. But then again, it couldn’t be a fantasy. Still, she was silent as she pulled out clothes from the wardrobe. Unfortunately due to her malnourished state, there wasn’t much that she would fit. She found jeans that fit her, thankfully, but still needed to make use of a belt. On top she wore a white t-shirt that was too baggy, but she hid it with an oversized jumper. Most curiously of all, however, was the stock of underwear they had. She undressed, poking various wound dressings as she went to see how much they hurt, before getting into her new clean clothes.

Bundling up her hospital gown, she deposited them in a basket in the corner. It looked like it might be for that sort of thing. For a little while she sat on the floor, trying on different sizes of shoes they had guessed at for her. Raven found some boots that fit her, and was pleased that they did, because they were everything she liked in a shoe. Not heeled, flexible, steel-capped and heavy enough to feel protected. She approved. Outside she saw that it had become dark. Just as she finished tying her laces, she heard a quiet knock at her door. She turned to see that she had left it open, and that the figure standing in her door was a welcome sight.

Jenn's comment about ending up with a women was incredibly distracting for a moment. He had to force his mind not to wander and think about the possibilities of that. Jenn looked out of the door, past Charlie, eyes searching for Felix he assumed. The finger at her lip drew his attention, but soon it was the words that she spoke he was more concerned with. What exactly had Felix done to her? She seemed brimming with rage, and he couldn't account for it unless...

"Did you fall victim to his antics?" He inquired, attempting to appear nonchalant. Charlie couldn't help but feel a spark of happiness at her next for comments. She hated Felix venomously which worked perfectly for him, he wanted her as far away from him as possible. He had no way (or right) to enforce that though, so her natural hate of Felix was both pleasing and a relief. He was a catch? That was a new observation, one he hadn't heard or thought of before. Worry flashed across his face though, wondering what kind of a day she had. Somehow his mind went straight to Shin, considering her obsession with him and his utter stupidity when it came to Jenn, he probably did something to upset her. She playfully tapped him with her fist on the side of his arm, to which he smiled honestly.

"You flatter me, soon my ego will consume us all." He said, amused, before continuing with a more serious tone. She was being kind to him, and he appreciated it, but honestly he was more trouble than he was worth. "What happened today?" He asked quietly, searching her face for any visual clues.

"Sounds splendid." Charlie nodded in agreement to her request to leave, leaning forward to instruct the pilot of their destination. However, he was met with that particular look, the one that said, 'cancel everything, we've got Schattens'. Why now? Why, whywhywhy... He cursed inwardly, incredibly irritated at the timing. Any other time and he would've been thrilled to go kill the horrid creatures, but now.... He sighed, sitting back next to Jenn and giving her an apologetic look as the helicopter took off.

"Change of plans. There are Schattens in Dubai." He looked apologetic, as if it were his fault somehow. "We shall have to carry out our plans some other time. Okay?" He asked, unsure if she would want to. "We're going to the Slum black markets, apparently." Thinking about it, he had never been on a mission with Jenn. He had never seen her use her weapons, and it was something that intrigued him highly.

"You know, this might be good. You seem like you might need some... outlet for anger." He finished lamely, unsure of how to phrase it. He wasn't sure if he had been too forward with her, although he tried to tame himself around Jenn. "I mean-" He shut up, rubbing the back of his neck, trying to distract from his slip up.

"I thought you might be seeing Darius." He said, appearing to make small talk. He knew she wasn't dating Darius. He just wanted to see if she was finally seeing Shin, or if he was still hopelessly oblivious. Charlie would tell Shin about Jenn's feelings if he wasn't sure Shin would like the idea of keeping Jenn. You don't just pass up an opportunity with someone like her.

Jenn was a little apprehensive throughout the whole conversation, arms crossed as she sat back when Charlie or herself mentioned Felix. Oh, she just couldn't bring herself to forgive that little brat, and for good reasons. Quietly listening and smiling at Charlie whenever the subject changed though, her 'sketchy' personality showing how she could flick hate and joy on and off like a switch without knowing it.

When Charlie finally got the vehicle moving they got a no go, of all times! "Dubai? Oh yes, I guess the black markets would be a god place to attack, all those people down on their luck or ripping off others." Sighing as she felt them take off and out, able to see another two ready for the other teams. "Oh, this might feel a little too good, cutting down some of those monsters, I can just see Felix's grin replacing their smug shadowed faces..." Gritting her teeth as she tried to sit back and relax on a surprisingly fast helicopter.

Jennifer would have spit her drink out if she had one as Charlie suggested her and Darius, especially after this afternoons... Ordeal. "Oh, no, no, no, no, what ever gave you that idea?! In fact, we had a rather large misunderstanding today..." pointing a finger on each hand together as she quietly made the touch and squeeze together a bit. "See, with my dorm fire damage I'm in Shin's, sharing with him. N-not that its a problem! Well, maybe, but, not a bad one! See, I kinda snuck into Shin's room and slept in his bed while he was out, when he came back I pretended I was cleaning it, but, Darius thought we were a couple. I wish, but y-you know Shin..." Head turned away from Charlie as she tried to compose herself, face red. Somehow she felt most comfortable telling him all this over anyone, which wasn't very comfortable at all.

"Say, you and Estrealla get along well, how is that? Talking with Shin is like hinting that world is going to end, by telling him about it bluntly with a straight face... I see him get flushed over things, but, nothing sinks in." A look on pure unamusement as she started forward at the metal separating them from the cockpit, as if to bore a whole through it with her eyes. " I know at least five sweet girls that would jump on you in a heart beat, but he doesn't even look at me half the time. Do you not envy any girls either?... Not to pry on your sexuality, I understand if you're all for the bi thing, love has many forms right?!" Trying not to make him uncomfortable as she gave a weak laugh, but if anything, she was the nervous one now.

Milan leaned back once he’d finished looking at the dagger; it was quite the beauty, all things considered. It seemed almost elegant somehow, and he sort of wished he’d seen Drew utilize it at some point before now. There was still a chance to witness some action, of course, as he figured he’d be here a while longer before he reached another fork in the road on his path of life. When he next looked to Raven, she looked tired, as if it was difficult to keep her eyes open and her head upright. Understandable, for she’d had a long day and had only just started recovering from her injuries. Despite her exhaustion, she was still perceptive enough to deuce the bargain the Academy expected of them. To stay where it was safe and to have a bed to sleep on in exchange for their skill sets to end the lives of the threats that demoralized people at the lowest points of their lives. It wasn’t a bad correspondence except for the fact that they could be killed themselves while attacking the amorphous enemies. So he nodded mutely and waited for Drew to add anything. He was so shy and uncomfortable with people that even Milan wondered about his past and personality.

With food now in her system, Raven looked much better, much healthier. A rosy hue now rose to her cheeks and she was able to successfully stand up. She even could walk about the apartment, although she moved slowly and held onto furniture to keep her balance. It was an improvement, and Milan couldn’t help but feel a tad proud of her for managing the seemingly simple task. Clearly, she was a determined woman. As she went over to the doorway of the bedroom, he turned back to Drew and made to stand up himself. ”Is there anything I can help you with?” he asked, even though he received the response he predicted in that the Grecian nervously refused and promised to take care of everything himself after a moment. It could have been his strong aversion to germs, Milan mused, and he didn’t argue over the fact. He would need to retrieve Raven’s weapon from the infirmary though, so he told Drew where he was going and that he’d be back shortly.

Pulling open the door to the apartment and making sure it was unlocked (or else he’d have to rely on Drew to open it for him again when he returned), Milan exited Raven’s room and started walking down the hallway back toward the hospital room where he’d first stumbled upon the red headed girl. Without obvious hurry, he entered the stark white room and walked over to the table where the monstrous weapon still perched idly, like it was a shark waiting to sink its teeth into the next hapless victim. Carefully, Milan slid his hand over the icy metal and maneuvered his hands underneath the hilt enough to pry it loose from its stationary position. Grunting with the effort of physically lifting the thing, he adjusted it so he could carry it with more ease. Good lord, it was a large sword. The chainsaw looking attachment was frightening enough; it made his own weapon look rather tame and inviting… This definitely made a long-ranged weapon sound far more appealing.

Looking terribly out of place as he left the infirmary, Milan made sure not to stop it or accidentally saw his own fingers off as he transported it from hospital to Raven’s quarters. However, on the way back, he was promptly intercepted by another prominent member of the Academy’s staff, one who was holding another clipboard. Warily, he asked what the matter was, and the no-nonsense answer told him that Schattans had been spotted near Dubai, and that three main groups were to fight them off. He happened to be included in one of them, with Raven tagging along, oddly enough. True, all they had to do was keep a good watch and eliminate any they saw trying to flee in the streets, but Milan wondered if Raven was up for it. Miraculously managing not to drop the giant sword as he collected the clipboard and stuffed it under his arm, the young man sighed and recollected his package before he thanked the staffmember and resumed his trek back to Raven’s apartment.

Once he arrived, he struggled to open the door, and luckily it was still unlocked. More focused on setting down the chainsaw-sword for the moment, Milan shuffled over to the kitchen and placed it on the countertop before he sighed and released the clipboard from underneath his arm so he could examine it more closely. They were just on the outposts, it seemed. Moving back to the living area, he set the board down on the table while casting a glance toward the bedroom. Drew informed him that Raven was asleep, so he didn’t disturb her with this information just yet. He did, however, ask Drew if he’d gotten anything while he’d been gone. ”Did you get a mission?” He sat back down at the table and looked over at the Grecian, curious. He talked to him conversationally, er, as well as they could both hold normal conversations with other people, while Raven napped. He’d need to go alert her to their new priority soon, and so he excused himself after a while of getting to know Drew.

It was kind of nice, just talking to someone else for a while.

As casually as he was capable of, Milan loitered in the doorway without glancing inside once he heard noises as Raven dressed and put on shoes. She’d need those shoes soon enough. Eventually, he knocked at it lightly, and smiled a bit when she looked over toward him. ”I hope you feel more rested, for it seems we have a bit of a problem…”

In room twenty-seven, a soft melody from a wooden box rung throughout the night air. The melody was quite sorrowful as it brought a flood of memories. A little girl laid her head against the railing of the balcony. It had been awhile since she's let her mind wander to many past memories. The most haunting one was her mother's smiling face. Every time she saw it she forced herself to remember something else. Tonight was not the night to miss her parents she declared. Her eyes glimpsed over the hills and river of the academy. A breath escaped her lips and she removed the music box from the floor, closed it, and proceeded inside her room. Closing the sliding door, Abigail placed the box on the table then picked up another one. This melody was a bit more upbeat than the last. It brought a small smile to her face, this particular music box had been stolen from the Mistresses office back at the old orphanage. She hated her and stole many items from her office and hid it in other girls beds and pillow sacks, to get them back for bullying her. But the music box she kept to herself because the Mistress didn't treasure it like Abigail did. Or that's how Abigail felt.

As the music came to an end the girl re-opened it. It made a type of comfort overwhelm her. Her stomach growled and it echoed through the entire room. Luckily no one was there to hear such an embarrassing moment. Making her way to the refrigerator a list of what to make ran in her mind. A couple dishes stuck out in her mind, hence it was awhile ago she made these. Soup. That's all she felt like making. She began to boil some chicken broth, with a couple of random vegetables. The aroma of the soup filled the room quickly. After so long the ten year old turned off the stove and waiting until the soup was cool enough to eat. During her waiting she shuffled to her bed and put on more comfortable lounge clothing. It turned out to be some gray sweatpants. a baggy black hoodie, and two mismatched slippers.

At the last second Abigail decided to walk around the academy. She didn't have the mind-set to be cooped up and isolated in her dorm room. Retrieving a traveling cup she poured some of her soup and screwed the lid on tight enough, so she wouldn't spill. Just before leaving she grabbed her teddy bear and stuffed it in her hoodie, its head stuck out under hers. Out the door she went. Soon the girl began to walk around the hallways of Aloshy Academy in a spaced out manner.

" Always r e m e m b e r ... a Fox can still B I T E you to death "

Estrella watched as Darius finish his plate, took her now dirty plate, and began to wash them. She listened as Darius explained to her that Shin had a little crush on her and not that his weak spot is his knees. Esa said goodnight to Darius and thank him for his help with her English as she closed the door behind him.

She walked over to the coach, grab of her manga books from the end table as she began to read it. Yet she couldn't help but think of what Darius had told her about Shin. "No, Shin doesn't like me...I mean we are just best friends..right?" said, Esa to herself. Just then the black fox, Sebastian just barked at her. Esa just giggled, pet his furry head and replied, "I mean Shin is just my best human friend but you will always be my best friend and partner." Her smiled widen as Sebastian just purred loudly as she continued to pat him. Then her cell phone began to buzz and play a special tone that Estrella knew very well that a Scattens has been spotted from the kitchen. She sighed as Esa slowly got up from the coach and walked over to her cell phone of the kitchen counter. She flipped the phone opened and began tot read text of her new assignment. Estrella looked over to Sebastian and sweetly said, "Come on Sebastian it seems we are needed in Dubai" The fox barked once more at Esa and she quickly grabs at her bow and quiver and begins to walked toward the helicopter pad.
