A soft whistling sound flowed out of the mouth of a young girl. Helen to be exact, but what was a name more or less? She preferred people to simply call her Hel. But never mind names, another year was starting and she was actually quite glad for it. After having returned home, she'd itched for the school year to arrive; she wasn't as content with the wild, unorganized chaos that she'd lived in anymore.
She had her registration papers done already so was heading towards her dorm-which she would be sharing with three others, just like she'd done last year-so she could settle in. She grimaced slightly, thinking of what living with three others that she wasn't used to would be like. Oh, she knew she was a bit outlandish and blending in a little wouldn't be entirely impossible but it would simply be boring and if there was anything Helen despised more, it would definitely be boredom.
She found herself at the front of the door to her dorm and opened it to find...no one. For one glorious moment, she would, at least be alone to let the normalcy and the neatness of a dorm room sink in. Not that she didn't like neatness, oh no, as soon as the feeling went away, she'd trash her little corner of the room, it was just that it was something she didn't experience too often.
The soft click of padded boots tapped their way down the gravel pathway and through the door. The owner of these boots smiled disarmingly at everyone in her way, swishing past everyone swiftly. Of course, this could be no one other than Jhaarine Pavia, one of the new teachers this year.
Quite surprising that she'd be teaching in a classy place like this, really. She, after all, had been quite a nobody before teaching here. However, she seemed to be completely at ease by the way she seemed to know exactly where she was going and the exuberant confindence she fairly oozed out.
Truth be told however, she was a little bit caught off guard by the sheer size of this place. The higher classes were a little bit strange as well and she'd had to keep herself from frowning, as she didn't feel quite like grasping her fan just yet. Ah well, no use being nervous or anything. She was a teacher here and a teacher she would be. No student or teacher-any other kind of authority really-would intimidate her. And with that, her peaceful smile grew just a little bit wicked as she headed towards the area where she would simply announce who she was and that she'd arrived.
