Licia School for the Magically Gifted [Literate - Accepting]

[The Introduction]

In this modern day there are three magickal Realms. The two main realms, Licia and Deamone are ruled by aristocratic royals, who are proud of their pure-bred nature. Licia, where our school is located, is host to those magic users who have mastered the 'good' magicks. Deamone, is the home of masters and mistresses of 'evil' magicks, as well as the shadowy creatures known as Vampires and Lycans. Finally there is a third realm, where outcasts and half-breeds roam free with their own set of rules.

After many years of strife, of trials and tribulations the three realms joined together for one common purpose. To create a school where their children will be raised - and poised to take their places in the world - as well as be taught to control their individual gifts.

Because there is still such great animosity in the three groups, the peaceful realm of Licia was chosen as the location for the school. With students from all realms living together under one roof and budding powers running amuck - what will happen in this, the school's 100th year?

((This is a long term, modern day, magick/mystical creature friendly, boarding school RP.

I've created it because I was tired of searching around for an acceptably literate RP that
a) was actually literate and b)wasn't already full.

I realize it's not perfectly set up just yet, I am more in a rush to get the RP Started then to make the front page look pretty, though rest assured I will be working on banners (unless someone else makes better ones XD) and on adding a bit of color when the RP gets moving

[The Rules]

Technical Rules

1. Follow Gaia TOS
2. The Rating For This RP Is PG - 13 (This means romance, mild-to moderate swearing, and violence are allowed, but nothing above that rating. If you cannot control yourselves, take it to PM)
3. This is a L-I-T-E-R-A-T-E Role Play. Posts of at least 4-6 sentences are required and longer posts are encouraged. I understand that not all posts need to be that long however, you may not post any one liners. No Chat Speak (l33t) is allowed unless it is OOC.
4. The role play is written in story format. That means no ** or ~~ for actions. Thoughts are, as usual in italics and dialogue must be in quotations.
5. Out of Character Posts, or OOC, must be within double-parenthesis. (( ))
6. Four Is the magic number. You must post this many times a day, five days a week. If you for some reason cannot meet this quota please send me a PM informing me of why it is not possible and something will be worked out. This also includes people who will be away from Gaia because of real-life circumstances.
7. You may not control another person's character in any way. You may not speak for them, or describe their actions. You may not KILL them without permission from that character's player.
8. If you wish to quit the RP, just send a PM with your character's name. I'll delete your character, no questions asked, and life will go on as if that character did not exist (or died in the case that non-existence would throw off the RP as a whole)
9. I reserve the right to add to these rules. I reserve the right not to accept your character. I reserve the right to tell you to send your application through private message with the subject including the names of the two realms, and the kind of thread this is (it's spelt out in the rules).

11. The chain of command is as follows. The students dubbed "Royal" are actually this thread's Moderators. They are to be respected. After that, the Professors have the next say. The middle and lower class students are equal (OOC).

Storyline Rules

1. Romances are allowed between whomever, yes that includes Teacher/Student.
2. No million-part characters. That is, no Neko/Demon/Lycan/Chicken/Humans. Only a few Half-breeds will be accepted.
3. Characters are limited to three-four powers, and none of them will be fully adept. If you already knew how to control your powers, you wouldn't be going to school for it.
4. The school plays host to various classes of life. Some royals have been sent as ambassadors to the school, the middle class is free to send the top 60% of their students, and the lower classes are only allowed to send the best 5% of their students. The school is not free, but middle and lower classes to get financial aid through their governments and through work-study programs.
5. You must attend 7-10 classes, this is not optional. You cannot take two classes if they are in the same period.
6. Students are allowed off-campus on weekends from 10AM to 10PM. And between 4pm to 8pm on weekdays. They may not return to their realm, and are only allowed to roam around Licia.
6. Dorm rooms are NOT Co-Ed. Only Royals get single-occupant dorms. Middle classes are allowed to choose between two-occupant dorms and four-occupant dorms, and lower classes must share their dorm with four other students.
7. Your character may only be in one place at one time. If you choose to have multiple characters they must be played out with different colors and you must maintain the post quota for BOTH. They will be counted separately.
8. Students, regardless of Class are to respect their teachers at all times. No one, save for the exception that has been specified to the teachers, is above the rules - not even Royals.
9. Violence is wrong. But it happens. You still can't kill anyone without the character player's permission.

Student dorms are available in Single Occupant, Double-Occupant, and Quadruple Occupant Suites. Teachers and Royals are the only ones permitted to use Single Occupancy suites. Double-Occupancy rooms are reserved for Middle class students, and Quadruple occupancy rooms are available to all. Dorms are furnished with essentials but students are responsible for decorum.
