Nari gaped at the angels wings for a second, then regained her composure. She was excited out of her mind. They said that the students at the school would be different, but mythical? She wondered what the abrasive top hat girl had been.It was astonishing. Feeling inadequate Nari responded "Well im a... um, a flower." She nervously played with one of her longer strands of pink hair and looked down at the desk embarrassed.
'Crap. I think my luck took a turn on me...' he thought. "A vampire huh? Well...if you suck my blood will I be a vampire, too? Because I...uh...wouldn't like that...very much..." he said nervously. He had never seen a vampire before. He expected them to be more...Nosferatu-ish creatures.
Cryistal

A smile played at the edge of her lips and she flashed her fangs again at Stark. "Yeah, a vampire, guv'nah. And don't worry 'bout bein' turned into a vampire. I cain't do that." She tapped her neck with a long fingernail and grinned. "But, I must say, I would like ta suck yer blood very much." The little crystals embedded in her skin glittered as she turned away and focused most of her attention on the teacher.

Maria

The teacher was satisfied with all the introductions and she launched into her own tale. "As you very well know, I'm Ms. Borrison and I'm a siren, that which you do not know. In this class we'll be learning about ancient history--from the human's point of view and our own." She glanced at the pallid Stark and wondered what the vampire had done; she was grinning like a cat after a nice meal. "Our first lessons will be on Norse mythology--north to south, I say." Her eyes passed over the other students and she noted that Emilie had paled too. Shaking, the girl's hand went up. "Yes, ma'am?"

Emilie

Upon hearing that Norse mythology was the first thing they were gonna learn, she had grown frightened and wondered if Odin--her supposed father--had known this was to happen. She raised her hand and Maria called on her. Obediently, she stood up and launched into her question: "Who was Loki?"

Maria's lips turned up in a smile. "I see you at least know something of Norse mythology. Loki is a trickster god. We'll be learning about him tomorrow."

Emilie took a deep breath and sat down. Tomorrow, okay.
Paradox Sighed. His unnocupied paw went Up. He had a question, that he was just burning to Ask. He didn't want to seem presumptous, however, and waited for Ms. Borrison to call on Him.
Maria

She nodded as the female student sat down and noticed that another student--Paradox--had raised his hand. So many questions! She remembered her first job--none. "Yes, Paradox?" she asked, her toffee-colored eyes appraising his amazing lack of... clothes. Perhaps that was the way he had grown up. Ah, well, so long as he was sensible in his half-nudity...
He stood, pointing his sightless eyes towards the sound of her Voice. "Just why do we care about history from the human's point of View? It isn't like they've done us any great favour, and their children aren't expected to learn anything from our Stance."
Maria

She was taken aback by the fox's forward question. "Why do we care? It helps to enrich ourselves through the knowledge and ignorance and thoughtfulness of humans throughout the ages. What if a human just told you they didn't want to learn anything about your culture from your point of view?" It was the first thing that came to mind for her.
The eye in his shoulder opened, he wanted to see the look on her Face. "What would I Do? Simply kill Them. And besides, no human would ever approach me, Anyway."
Maria

She clenched her teeth together and looked the fox up and down, her eyes focusing on every little difference; the eye in his shoulder, the placid, gray look his actual eyes gave to her. "So, you mean to tell me, that you would kill anyone who would simply like to know about you and your culture? Is it not easier to say no and turn them away?" She bit the inside of her cheek. This student was probably going to become a problem, a challenge. "After all, monsieur, murder is usually illegal."
He grinned, licking his Chops. "Yep. I Would. Because mine is such an interesting Culture. If they were human, that'd be reason enough for Me. And it's hard to apprehend someone who sees into the Future."
Maria

She smiled--forced--and folded her hands together. "Well, perhaps we should sit down sometime and talk. I would very much like to get to know of your culture, Paradox. It seems so very interesting. As you will get to know, the Norse, or Vikings, as they are commonly referred as, had a very violent culture too. They also had a great fascination for art and beauty." Her toffee eyes had grown a little brittle.
Paradox took his seat, the creepy eye in his shoulder watching Ms. Borrison. Typical scare tactics, simply stare down an enemy until they Caved. Or until it wasn't Funny. Paradox found it absolutely Hilarious.
Maria

She had grown accustomed to scare tactics--Nathaniel was notorious for them. As the student sat down, she adjusted her pleated pencil skirt and went to the board. Taking a blue marker, she wrote again on the board, right next to her name, the next few things she said. "Now that we have that done, I would like you all to visit the library sometime and pick up a textbook. Before you all groan and moan, it's relatively thin and only on Norse Mythology." She wrote a few more things:

Norse Mythology: Delving into Sea Dragons and Vikings

It was relatively simple and easy to find. "If you need any assistance, just talk to the librarian and no, she's not a harpy who wants to eat you. Any more questions before the bell rings?"
His hand went back Up. He looked a little worried Actually.
(( wahmbulance watch your 1-liners. Yuna and Jill don't like them. Please lengthen? wahmbulance ))

Maria

She turned around, the marker still in her hand, and was surprised to see Paradox holding his hand up again. Hopefully he wouldn't make a comment on her skirt and whatnot. She put a cap on the marker and nodded to him. "Yes, Paradox?" It was exciting to converse with some of her students.
