Eliana had been down in the dumps the past few days. Cammy had been gone for a little while now, and the petite young woman had started to miss her. They had exchanged a few messages here and there, but that had not been enough. And the little bit of contact that they had had was already beginning to dwindle.

It was not like Eliana to get attached to people in such a way but Cammy had broken right through the walls she had built only to leave her with the ruins to clean up. And Eliana had cleaned them up. Making them twice as thick. She didn't want someone to be able to leave her high and dry when she had decided to let them in.

And that was how she found herself hiding away in the library, working ahead on her classwork so that she wouldn't have to worry about it later. She had been in there for hours, and she had been jacked up on energy drinks for that same amount of time. Her fingers were jittery as the flew across her keys and her foot tapped a steady rhythm under the table.
