Imagine all the people
Aidan looked down at his hands now folded in his lap at the girl spoke to him. She was right. If she had not been there he may well have wound up in the nurses office again, or worse. And if that happened it would devastate Nadia. He needed to be more careful, and stop trying to live like a normal person, cause it was simply never gonna happen. He was weak and frail and that was that. As she spoke she sounded sort of angry. Not that he could blame her. But when she said she was glad he was alright he kinda threw him off. Cause well she did not seem very happy at all.
He let out a rather girly little squeak when she grabbed his arm and slung it over her shoulder helping him up. It was not like he meant to, but he was taken by surprise. Since she said not to ask he thought it best that he listen so he stayed silent. Not that that was really hard for him. He did not normally spend a lot of time around people so he was quite socially awkward.
The fae listened to her continue to talk she seemed to be fighting herself, he could completely relate with that. He let out a small sigh before answering. “I work in the library. I normally only do the paper work and check books in and out. But those books were close to the desk and it was only a few, so I thought maybe I could put them away. But when I climbed the ladder I got dizzy… and wound up falling. It was really stupid of me. I should know better than to try anything that requires using my useless body…” he said softly. Then he closed his eyes tightly for a moment. “Sorry that just sounds like I am feeling bad for myself. I didn’t mean it that way.”
When she got him to a chair he was relieved, walking, even with her help, was starting to put a strain on his lungs. He looked at the tired girl with a gentle smile. “Thank you,” he said again, still very softly. Though to be honest he normally talked pretty softly. His face was red, from a mixture of being flushed from his coughing fit and blushing.
When she asked if he wanted a drink he nodded slightly. “If you don’t mind of course, I have a big canteen of tea sitting beside the computer at the main desk. There should be a few cups sitting around there too, if you would like to grab one for yourself. Its good tea, I made it myself,” he offered wanting to pay her back a bit for helping him out.
