All I wanted was him.
All he wanted was the world.

Kef shuffled along down the main hall. Her things were in her room, and after sitting on the edge of her bed for a while, she finally lifted herself up and put on her coat. No need to sit and sulk. That's what she had been telling herself for years. The living doll rarely got cold anymore. Whatever Lord Vic had created her from, it withstood extreme temperature quite well.
The slim girl walked along, her hands in her pockets. She hummed a little song. It was the song that the music box that once sat on her dresser played. How she loved that little music box. Her love had given it to her a few months before he left. Every night she would wind its small key and listen to the tinkling tones. Lord Vic's face had been so happy, and he laughed as her eye grew wide. Kef had forgotten to bring the box with her. But other than Lord Kef, she didn't want anything from her former life.
She watched the tiles disappear beneath her small feet, not paying attention to where she was going. The tiles stopped moving, and so did she, as she ran into someone's back. Kef looked up and noticed it was a black haired man.
'No. No, it can't be. Was he waiting here for me? How long has he been here? It can't be my Lord. How?...' Kef stood behind him, trying to make coherent sounds. "I-- I'm sorry. I didn't, erm, see you there", she managed to force out.
