Years from now, in a now more advanced earth. Hokkaido Academy, located in Japan is one of few schools that allow monsters and humans to study aboard.

Before this, Hokkaido was a rather....not so popular town; in fact many people hadn't heard of it! Around 2029, the academy was thought and planned. However, because the low population; many people thought of ways of making this school more.....incredible. And that's where the whole, "let's make a monsters and humans", idea came up. Ten years later, after all the hard work, in 2039 Hokkaido Academy was finally finished and ready for its doors to open. However, before the academy could actually open, many of the town's people doubted if this was actually a good idea. What made people think about this, was the whole monsters and humans in one academy sort of thing. Some people thought it was a bad idea, because again the whole monsters and humans thing; while other people thought maybe this was in fact a good idea and who knows, maybe it could bring peace...and such.

Finally after two years of debating, the school board finally open its doors, to monsters and humans! After a few years, Hokkaido Academy became one of the most popular schools in Japan. This also affected the town's population, because now Hokkaido is one the most popular towns in Japan!

Even though the academy let's monsters and humans study aboard. That doesn't mean, all the students get along, there may be a few fights here and there. But nothing really severe.

Romance is fine. Romance is encouraged. But D-E-V-E-L-O-P it! Love at first sight is a bit of a cliché, especially in school themed roleplays.

Violence, and swearing? Can do. Just don’t go overboard with it or we’ll have to censor your post.

Regarding posts, this is a ‘lazy literate’ thread. A three paragraph norm is expected, make an effort to use proper punctuation and grammar, and try to post at least twice a week.

Fancy post layouts are always welcomed, but please be considerate if you’re going to use a bright color. Also, the font size (at least for the meat of your post) should be from size 10-11.

Onto characters. I cannot stress this enough; please be creative, and look over the other profiles first to make sure you aren’t making a clone of someone else’s character. We reserve the right to ask you to redo your character if we feel it is too similar to an already made character.

There is a 3 character limit per person. This may or may not change in the future depending on how things progress later on.

Reservations and Profiles. You’ll find the necessary information for these in their respective posts. When you have the information filled out, simply PM what you have to me, titling the reserve "Hokkaido", and the profile with the name of your character.

If for any reason you’ll be gone for an extended period of time, do let us know. If you disappear for more than a week without a word (especially if you’ve been posting on Gaia elsewhere), we will assume that you are no longer interested in our roleplay.

These staff members will be in charge of keeping attendance for their students, assisting them with academic issues, and generally fulfilling the role of being an overall mentor. They are also tasked with presiding over Study Hall for their homeroom.

Types of Classes:
Core Classes:

• The typical Math, Literature, Social Studies, and Science courses.
  
• These classes are segregated by the different grade levels.


Elective Classes:

• Just about any other class. Art, home economics, music, physical education, what have you.
  
• These classes can have different grades mixed in, but the only mixing will be freshmen with sophomores, and juniors with seniors.

As you'll note in the student schedule, First through Fourth period are either Core or Elective classes. By leaving it as such, this allows the people playing students to freely choose what class they have while giving them some guidance as to what the possibilities of said class could potentially be. Discuss with your fellow classmates what you want to do in the OOC.

Study Hall:
Generally speaking, this is a time for students to work on their homework and/or class projects. Study Hall will be held in your homeroom class, and watched over by your homeroom teacher. If you're looking to work with a student from another grade level, going to the library would be best for a mutual meeting place. Study Hall is not a required period by any means, but don't forget your studies none the less.
