Saya felt his hand on her head and she closed her eyes a moment, lifting her face and looking at him as he told her to walk with him and tell him what happened. Her eyes moved to him, then to the ground again. She found it was hard to be sad and look at someone at the same time. She sighed a bit as she thought about what happened, the plants seeming to gain a bit of their color back. "Well.. I was in my home. It's a.. It WAS a forest that was pretty far from here. I lived in a hollow tree and when I woke one morning, I heard this loud rumbling, this sound of cutting and trees crashing. I could feel the plants being killed and when I ran to find out what was going on, there were all these men cutting down the trees and up rooting the other plants. it hurt so bad that I yelled at them to stop." She sighed, rubbing her arm a bit, her other hand pulling nervously on her hair. "They did for a short time, but only long enough to ask me who I was and what I was doing there. When I told them, they took me away and brought me to this place with lots of men in uniforms. the men kept me there for a long time, making all sorts of fuss." She said, then looked at the building.

"Finally they just dropped me off here and said this is where I belonged..." She said, finally finishing. She could not explain everything fully as she did not know what most of the things she saw were. Vehicles for instance. she didn't know what they were, same with computer and phones. None of this she knew about, so her story was just general.

His mouth was opened briefly, closing when words would not form. He had no clue what he could say to make the girl feel better, her awkwardness and her fear of people was all becoming clear. Whether or not she was traumatized, the problem was helping her adjust to this new environment. Even though he may have given sound advice, he was wrong in thinking that she couldn’t have been through some serious problem. He felt a bit guilty for his earlier words though choked down an apology as to keep things focused on her. Knowing the action may startle her, Taiga reached out for one of her hands, taking it securely in his. He rubbed the dorsal side with his thumb, realizing that common methods may not have such a soothing effect. This was a completely new game and the slightest mistake could cause the girl to simply run off in terror. The truly sad thing was that as he began to make small advances, he found himself genuinely interested in who she was. Saya was definitely an intriguing woman, her story something that he’d never heard before. She’d definitely suffered a great deal, he couldn’t say that she wasn’t strong for just coming peacefully. “Well they were right....You do belong here. This is your home and you’re going to find plenty of people who want to be your friend Saya. You need to give them a chance.” He began to walk towards the main building at a steady pace. “You’ll need to get your schedule and everything, let me escort you inside. Once there, we can talk more if you want, or do whatever....”

Oh come on, there's a point to where this gets ridiculous. Right? ...

Nevada sighed as he read over the papers, finding it to be mostly stupid stuff about opting out of certain classes and such. He'd all but forgotten about the girl as he worked his way though the form. Halfway though, however the pen stopped working and he sighed, finding frost coating it. He'd forgotten to concentrate and froze the ink solid, what fun. Motioning to the receptionist he shook the pen. "Could I get another, this one isn't working anymore." He told her in complaint and received the pen moments later. At the same time he felt something and turned to find the girl. He looked at her for a moment before blinking. "Wh-" The question was cut short as her hand struck his face.

The male stumbled back catching himself on the front desk, pain pulsing through the blue hand print that now covered the side of his face. His expression was showed nothing but surprise, and shock. After a minute of staring at the girl in disbelief, he returned her smile with a grin of his own as he placed his hand on his well earned wound. He was honestly still somewhat confused by the sudden change in personality. "That's a start..." He said blinking as he regained his balance. Looking at her, he practically cut through her with some fierce killing intent. "but if you touch me again. I'll turn you into my personal pin cushion." He returned, a mass of needle-sized shards blooming out of his right arm's sleeve. After, a moment, they pulled back disappearing into his sleeve as he sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose, wincing slightly when he touched the mark she'd left. "So you going to tell me your name? I like to at least know the name of the person I owe some punishment." He told her with a tired look. "I'm Nevada." He mused offering her his hand with an expression that could be compared to that of a snake.

She was hesitant when he took her hand and began to lead her toward the school. She only pulled gently once, but then walked beside him. As they got closer, she gripped his hand tighter and walked closer to him, pushing against him as they came to the door. She was not sure what he was talking about when he mentioned a schedule, but she was confident that he was not going to lead her astray. At least she hoped so. She didn't want to have to go and hide again. She wanted to make friends, but the closer to the building she got, the more dead it felt. it felt cold, lifeless and empty. it did not matter how many people were inside, it felt dead and empty.

He looked back at the girl, unsurprised to see her current behavior. While it was extremely adorable, he was paying close attention to her mannerisms. The closer they to the school, the tighter her grip became. She was extremely terrified of this place and it wasn’t a social life that she was worried about. He knew that she wanted to turn back, to head to that small patch of grass that’d offer her the comfort she needed. Of course there was nothing he could do so of course he only wanted to try harder. He stopped walking, knowing this idea had a major flaw but he stopped Saya and placed both of his hands on her shoulders. “Don’t move, I’m going back to the grass patch, I left something there. Trust me, I’m coming back.” After that he sprinted back to the small patch, looking through the rose bush. He returned with a few seeds and also a flower. he knew that she’d see this more as killing the plant rather than helping her and that was the reason for the seeds. He first put the flower in her hair gently, laughing as he stepped back. “A beautiful rose that matches the enchanting blush that taints your pure skin. And the seeds of this flower so you’ll always be near your home. No matter where you go.” He waited for her reaction, wondering how she’d respond.

Saya stood there waiting, watching him go back to the patch where she felt comfortable. He was by the bush for a short time before he returned, putting a flower in her hair. She was horrified at first, though she listened to what he said, taking the seeds and cradling them gently. She wanted to tell him off for killing the flower, but as long as it was touching her it would not wither. she sighed, then reached up and tucked the seeds into her hair, where she allowed them to grow small roots to hold on. After that she turned back toward the school, feeling a little better but still feeling apprehensive. "What goes on here?" She asked, doing her best to sound brave, but failing and just sounding like she was trying not to cry.

He could tell she was horrified by the flower and truly wasn’t even sure if she was grateful for the gesture. it was true, normal tactics wouldn’t work, this girl required a completely new process. Just as he began to think of what he could do, the girl asked a question, causing his eyes to widen attentively. He registered the question, not realizing she was asking about the school at first. However, once he did, he blinked twice, once more completely thrown off. She had no clue what a school was and this meant multiple things. As soon as he could focus, Taiga pulled his phone out of his pocket and holding it in front of the girl’s face. The phone was turned on and the boy pointed towards a few words and numbers, the current date. “Hey, can you read this for me?”

Brown hair fell on either sides of her face, she was half tempted to hide behind the dark locks. She didn't know how the boy was going to react. It was his advice after all, she just acted upon it. And he did deserve it after his harsh teasing words towards Alexis. Golden eyes gazed over him, her fear was expelled after a smirk came across his lips. Not that she was looking at his lips, just the gesture of acceptance was very well needed. For once in her life Alexis felt like the boss of her own life, but that feeling was quickly thrown aside as he threatened her. There was no doubt in her mind that the boy was far more superior than her in ever level of being. She could never actually defeat the boy in combat, she didn't have enough courage for that. She hardly had the courage to slap him. "You're the one who told me to stick up for myself!" she spat, taking his threat a little harsher than she probably should have. Alexis didn't feel it was right for him to grow angry with her. She thought about touching him again just to check his bluff, but the thought crossed her mind. What if he wasn't bluffing? Alexis backed away, uncomfortable.

What was he? That amount of ice couldn't be manipulated by any regular bender. And he couldn't have been meta. Alexis shivered slightly, her hand was still cold from when she placed it on his shoulder. She hadn't noticed before, but little shards caressed his body. Where they there before? Now that she was getting a good look over him, she noticed these little things. And they were quite interesting to Alexis, being as she was involved with water too. But of course she'd never really tell him that. He was still a jerk. But that wouldn't stop Alexis from sharing her name, even after his threat of punishment. "Alexis.." she stated simply, her expressions seemed faint and almost curious. But she refused to allow him to know how she was really feeling.

Nevada opened and close his mouth a few times she spoke, amused. "Yeah, but I didn't say smack the feeling out of my mouth." He complained sharply, ignoring her tone. Thoughtfully, he listened as she gave him her name before shivering uncharacteristically; with an irritable expression he shook his head as ice crawled up his neck again, this time at a rather accelerated rate. After a second, he brought his hand up pressed it against the ice that covered most the left side of his face. Slowly, the ice covered his eye and formed a pitch-black pit in its place, fangs of ice began forming as well where the ice covered his mouth before he started ripping the ice away with a noise that resembled a nail against a chalk board, his eye returning to normal as the ice was removed from it. After a moment, he managed to ward the change off, breaking the last of the ice by rolling his neck vigorously. "Sorry about that." He told her, as if he hadn't just shown her something as disturbing a murder. "My natural form is apparently too..., awe-inspiring is how I think they described it, but I tend to change when I'm injured. My healing abilities accelerate in the other form. It's something of an instinctual change, completely involuntary." He explained shortly having noticed her curiosity earlier.

"I could tell you what I am," he told her in a sing-song voice. "But I'd have to kill you." He mused warmly as a single, spike of ice thrust from his sleeve, about 6 inches long, with the diameter of a dime at its base. "It wouldn't be slow, I'm afraid. I like to play with my kills." He told her tapping the tip of the spike on his leg. "You know dinner and a show, that kind of stuff." He joked before the small spear withdrew into his sleeve. After a moment, his eyes lit up with curiosity and he approached her with a warm expression that didn't quite fit his face. "That's enough about me, though. What are you?" He asked, his expression turning dark as he brought his hand up and pressed his finger against her jaw line. On contact, Ice began forming and he promptly removed his hand, not particularly wanting to kill her. Upon the retreating of his hand the ice dissipated, but he still kept his hand close to her neck. While he was usually one for theatrics, the more he talked to this girl the more his interest in her grew. Curiously, he wondered if he could turn this frail girl into something more threatening. At the very least, it'd be fun to try. So firstly, he decided to squeeze out whatever information he could get on her abilities.

Allowing his hand to fall to his side he grinned slyly and moved swiftly, his movements a blur before his body focused out, his face just before hers. His lips only inches away from hers. "Since I like you, I could tell you and skip the killing. The dinner and the show are still up for grabs." He told her with a warm expression.

She turned toward him as he asked her to read something. she looked at the device, then looked up at him. "What is it?" She asked, meaning both the item he held and what it was that he wanted her to do. She did not know what 'read' meant. She then looked back at the item he held and she lifted her hand, poking it lightly. it was hard, but it felt dead like most other things in this place. it had light and there were pictures on it, but she did not know what they were, or what it was that he wanted her to do.

His eyes grew when she spoke, a hand Immediately shooting his face before being slowly wiped down, Taiga letting out a pained groan. "Dear lord, she doesn't know how to read...". He heaved a sigh before focusing on Saya once more, a concentrated piercing the young girl. He was extremely troubled by this discovery. He was beginning why they simply ditched her, there were many things to be avoided by simply discarding a little forest girl at a school for "gifted" individuals. It was rather irritating to see that she had been taken advantage of completely and the boy could only let out a sigh. "Well, my beautiful, uneducated flower, it seems we have quite the problem here. It's truly a shame that they'd treat a young girl so unfairly. Let's go inside, well figure out what could be done with you."

He did not seem happy that she did not know what it was that he was talking about. He then told her that they would figure it out and she got a feeling that she was lacking in something very important. "I thought this was a school for people who were not normal?" She asked, now a bit nervous. Was she just dumped at some place and lied to so that she would not put up any fuss? She was dumped here and told that they could help her, that this was a place for 'people like her'. She did not know what that meant, but she had a feeling, now, that it was not going to be easy for her to be here. She did not know what a school was or what they did, so this boy knew what was going on, and she was getting a feeling that she would not really fit in.

he took a deep breath when she spoke, a soft exhale leading him into his slow explanation. “This is a place for those with special abilities to be dumped, a place that prevent us from causing trouble for ‘normal’ people. This is a high school for those ‘special’ people. But, you’re different, you’ve not been blessed with an education so it’s hard to tell how you’ll be treated. Even if you’re among those like you, it’s quite possible that your education level could cause you to be sent somewhere else. For your safety, to make sure you don’t have to be relocated once again, I think it’d be best if we’re....well sneaky with getting you to stay.”

"Sneaky.. You mean lie?" She asked, a bit louder than she had intended. "Lying is wrong!" She said, turning toward him. She didn't want to have to leave, but she didn't want to lie either. The trees never lied, none of the plants that she grew up with lied. Lying was something that humans did and it was a mean trait that they all had. She was torn between wanting to stay and upholding her own morals.

He looked at the girl with a befuddled expression, utterly shocked to see her react in such a way. She spoke with such a strong demeanor, it was quite odd to see a person be disturbed by the thought of lying. The more they spoke, the greater his interest with her. He began to chuckle before shaking his head, wondering how his little brother would react to this girl. She was painfully innocent, a sickening sweetness that could be described as heinous. Even though she was her own person, a complete conscious being, it felt as if she was too perfect. Whatever her past was, Taiga knew that there were plenty of people that would take advantage of the kindness in the girl’s heart. But it was that pure heart that he was beginning to adore. He let his attention drift to his own thoughts for a moment, a puzzled expression plastered on his face before he simply shrugged his shoulders. “Yuki would truly eat this girl alive..” He spoke in an amused tone, almost curious to see what kind of effect Saya would have on his brother.

From the moment he began speaking to this girl, there hadn’t been one moment that she didn’t do or say something to surprise him. He took a unique interest in this female, his curiosity easily overpowering his quest for a mere hook-up. With no intention, his personal had shifted completely, Taiga now radiating a warmth that was disturbingly different from the artificial tenderness he approached her with. He gave this girl the sympathy, the warmth that no one, not even his brother received. It was an abnormal kindness, that’d probably scare those he was close to. He’d become attached to this girl, establishing a brotherly form of affection towards her. He wanted to learn more about her, desired to remain at her side for the moment. He couldn’t shake the curiosity that filled him when he looked at the girl, there had to be so much more to her story, he wanted to find it out. The mere thought of discovering more caused his face to gain a new light, excitement clear on his face as he smiled, a rather childish grin shining through his usual calm and collected mask. He slung an arm around the girl’s shoulder, ignoring the fact that she’d probably become a bit tense, eagerly leading her straight to the main office.

Without even bothering to look before entering, Taiga entered the main office, completely ignoring the two in front of him. It wasn’t until he began to speaking to the receptionist that he turned, biting his bottom lip once he noticed Nevada. He knew a fight wouldn’t start, his concern was some confrontation starting between Saya and the slim boy. Knowing it’d be worse not to address him, Taiga took a deep breath before turning around to face his brother completely. “Aww, you got a girlfriend already Yuki-chan~? I’m so proud of you.” He laughed before leaning towards the other female, speaking lowly. “If he ever gets on your nerves, just call him Snow White. He hates that name and it tends to keep him in his place.”
