A blonde slender man held his head low, he wanted no chance of someone catching sight of him. He was an odd boy, in more than one way many believed. Blonde hair hugged his cheeks, shielding his view from anything but the sidewalk. He insisted on himself to go to this new mansion like school, despite his dislike for large crowds or even people. A trench coat covered most of his body, the few visible parts of his body included his hands and his ankles. But even then his ankles were covered with a sock and inserted into a pair of black and white chucks. It was clear that the trench coat was not part of his original attire. Jak reached up around his neck, tugging at the loose strands of ribbons and string around his neck; he was quite fond of breezy necklaces. Jak continued to follow the sidewalk, his feet making and urgent stop when he reached the front gate. The iron gates were tall and open, allowing it's students to enter. Taking a deep painful sigh, the boy entered through the threshold; making himself seem very outdated and abstract. Making his was to the courtyard, he could tell that his was going to be an interesting event for the boy. He had never been in a real school before, being strange and unique always had that disadvantage towards him. Giving a grunt he sat himself in the shading of a large tree. Un-phased by what was going on around him.

Alexis was quite content with the morning, giving the gentle breeze that kissed her cheeks. The sun was shining down on her, tanning her skin ever so lightly. No matter how long she stayed in the sunlight, her skin always proved to stay pale. Which was a nice contrast to her brown hair and golden eyes. In stance though, Alexis was a very small and petite girl; often times mistaken for a child. It was just part of both her curse and blessing. A gleeful smile pierced her lips as she approached the school gates. This was going to be her second year here, and already she felt like she was at home. Nothing pleased the girl more than being in a place where you were welcomed. Tugging on her blue tank top, and flushing out her orange skirt she let out a sigh. Despite her enjoyment of being at St. Clair's, she was quite flustered with being here. Not that she was nervous, she was frightened by what could happen in the upcoming year. You see, Alexis is a very cautioned / shy girl; and usually tries to stay out of people's way. Not that she didn't like people, because she very well did; she just didn't want her previous "fish girl" title to still be around. Something inside her hoped everyone had forgotten about last years incident, and had moved on. Taking in another deep breath, Alexis carried herself to the front steps of the school; hoping inside to find a new year and possibly her class schedule.

Looking up the school was big and beautiful like she thought it would be looking around at the few students that where coming in she sat down on a bench took out her note bok and srated to right a poem wich turned out to be a song. The amazing sining kittin they used to call her back at her old school she never really liied that name it was... hurtful. Like a complument that was really an insult.

----------------Hollie yawned as she walked through the streets, her head low and her attention fixed on the audio book that she was listening to. Her caramel-like locks of hair cradled indifferent brown and red eyes that looked as people started to stare at her for no good reason, Oh, maybe it was just because she went to St Clair. A small breeze blew by, throwing her hair over her shoulder as she closed her eyes, shielding her face with her elbow. As Hollie walked toward the front steps, she sighed, looking up at the high structure as she forced her bangs to cover one of her eyes----the red one which she felt so ashamed of. Afterward, she then smoothed her outfit and pulled her bag in front of her, rummaging inside to look for her schedule.

----------------Once she found it, Hollie started to walk toward the Courtyard, her eyes looking at the paper, but her mind still focused on the audio book that she was listening to. Her brown eye scanned the page as she made sure that her red one could not be seen. Maybe she should buy an eyepatch. But most came in dark colors and those colors never really suited her.

----------------Hollie sighed as she started noticing the flowers around her, one petal falling on her shoulder. She brushed it off with her hand and then sighed, continuing to walk before a second after, she fell on the floor, her books and all of her stuff on the floor, her schedule a few feet from her hand. Hollie's hair was scattered all over the grass as her headphones flew off of her head. Hollie had tripped on a pair of legs that were sitting under the shaded tree she was to pass by. "Ah . . " she said as she fell, now sitting up, "That hurt . . " She covered her strange eye with her hands, making sure that the fall didn't trigger any strange visions.

Jak sat still under the tree, the shadow giving him a cooling feeling over his pale skin. Dark eyes scanned over the passing students, it was an odd feeling not being looked at. He preferred it that way actually. Laying still, the blonde boy lowered his head. He had no intention of going to first period, which defeated his purpose of coming to school early that morning. Closing his eyes he expected to catch a few minutes of sleep, if it hadn't been for a squealing that overcame his ears. Surprised, Jak's eyes lunged open; and his body jumped ever so slightly. He had come out of a deep sleep to see a girl standing awkwardly at his feet. He really didn't pay any mind to her, being as she seemed normal enough; except for her hand desperately trying to cover her face. He didn't understand why she was trying so hard to hide herself away, then again he didn't all the way care. "Nice going." he mumbled, crimson eyes peering at the girl. He had no effort to help her up, he didn't even budge. Only stared at her.

----------------Hollie sighed as she sat up, fumbling to cover that one eye with her bangs. She looked to the side as the sound of a male caught her attention with the words, "nice going" coming out of his mouth . . . 'nice' and 'going', put together in a sentence was strange, yet so many people used it whenever she tripped of fell. After her one eye was covered, she tilted her head to the side. You could hear the audio headphones speak as she looked at this crimson-eyed boy. He also had red eyes, as well as shiny blonde hair. "Strange . . ." she murmured, only for him to hear as she sat up there, "Strange indeed. . . ." Her brown eye scanned the boy just like she scanned the schedule. He must have attended this school, why else would he be here? He seemed like the type to be laid-back, noticing the way he sat on the tree. By the look of his clothing, he was also strange like her, only that unlike Hollie, he wasn't afraid to show it. Did people laugh at him too? Hollie couldn't help as she let her eyes be cast upon him, strange enough, focusing just on this boy and not anything else. Not at the headphones which read the book she wanted to hear caught her attention, not the notebooks and the books that fell as the wind blew them open, and not the falling petals as one landed on her head.

----------------"Hollie." she said, her expression not changing and her eye still cast upon the boy's figure, "Do you have a name?" She wanted to know more about this crimson eyed boy, he seemed so interesting to someone like Hollie.

The blonde turned his head, unamused by the sight of the girl. Jak seemed almost rude about her being at his feet, but could care less. His finger entwined themselves in the long blades of grass, the scratching of brought jagged edges tingled his nervous system. If it hadn't been for the blade breaking under his strength he would have felt the paper like cuts on his fingertips. Sighing, Jak turned back to the girl. It was odd to him that she was attempting to make small talk. He hadn't talked to someone in so long he might have forgotten the sound of his own voice. Even by her name the girl seemed normal. Jak didn't answer at first, the surprise of her speaking to him still tantalized his thoughts. Crimson eyes scanned over her lastly before someone came to her aid. Scanning the feline over, he could only chuckle. He had forgotten that ever the creatures of animals lingered the halls. Even more so it was pathetic to him that such a lowly creature could attend such a fine institution. Course, Jak didn't know if it was fine or if it was like any other private school. Lowering his head, blonde locks shielded his eyes from the two girls before him. "And I care because?" he wondered, unsure if he actually wanted either of the girls to answer him. That would only start a conversation, and as far as Jak was concerned. He wasn't very good with people or words.

----------------As Hollie was waiting for the boy's answer, another girl came and helped her up, although she would have been find just sitting there since the shade from under that tree seemed to soothe her nerves. Hollie did not want to say thank you. She believed that term was to be saved for when she asked for help. The words 'please' and 'thank you' she thought stuck to each other and that was a rule. She only remained silent as she was assisted, but flinched when she noticed that as she fell, some of the blades had cut her cream-colored legs, some blood dripping down. Hollie was a very delicate and sick child, and it was always fatal when she would get sick. Hollie listened as the boy talked and then studied how he spoke. Laid-back, indifferent, uncaring. That was what she had gotten out of him, but she knew there was more. Hollie wanted to know that 'more.' "Care:" Hollie began, "to feel concern or interest; attach importance to something, example: "they don't care about human life" She said it as her eyes were still stuck on the boy's profile, a finger pointed to him at that moment, "That word is used in your tone as a negative connotation, how strange." It was as if she was studying him, like how a scientist observes a lab rat. Yes, Hollie was interested, she was interested in everyone here. Although, the boy that stood in front of her grabbed Hollie's attention first. She looked to the girl and noticed that she seemed to be attentive, caring, easy. What a common character to have. Hollie always sees those kinds of people walking through the streets. A boring character, a character she could study later.

The boy sat silent, nearly dumbfounded by her quick intellectual lecture. It wasn't like he asked her to go all nerd on him, actually it was quite the opposite. He wanted her to leave, but he doubted the starting of this conversation would soothe itself over. Jak grumbled lowly, he didn't have time for childish games. In all actuality, he had plenty of spare time; he just didn't expect this preferred moment to startle his morning. Glancing over her, she was oddly pretty for covering half of her face. Curiosity struck him as he tried to peer through her fingers. It wasn't like he was going to judge her for whatever secret she had been hiding, and despite Jak's odd behavior he found it ill trusting to talk to someone who hid their face. Crimson eyes peeked through the tips of his bangs, it had been so long since he had last cut his hair. And he had good reason to not cut it too. Eyes caught sight of the red blood dripping over her legs, what did she think he was? A ******** vampire? Jak scoffed, course she didn't intentionally cut herself; but there could always be the fear of him being a blood sucking monster. Looking back up at the girl she still seemed to be inspecting him. No, fear was definitely not one of her attributes. "If I knew I was going to meet a walking dictionary, I wouldn't have gone out to buy one." was all Jak could say in return to her odd intelligent definition.

----------------Hollie listened to his reply and analyzed every word he said, as if she was diagramming it in her mind. Personification: walking dictionary, gone out: go outside, to buy one: to get a hold of one object, If I knew: if he was given the knowledge of, I was going to meet a: past tense no------present, future? Those words were usually what stumped her. Hollie then concluded in her head that he was using humor as a device and noticed that a breeze passed by, instinctively making sure that her eye was covered. "Humor." she concluded, staring at the boy, "The device used: The quality of being amusing or comic, esp. as expressed in literature or speech." You could tell people found her strange because of her ability or her odd way to communicate like this. What Hollie was really trying to do was getting to know the person. She noticed that to the side that her book had ended, she would restart it later when she had the time, although she thought that maybe she should start picking up her things . . . no matter. When Hollie was studying, she was not to be bothered with.

----------------"Hollie." she repeated, letting a silence pass, "Do you have a name?" Maybe if she knew what he was called, she would know more about his actions, his origin, anything of the sort. She had fun talking with this boy. He was the first to stay in front of Hollie without walking away, although there could have been a different reason behind his not thinking ill of her and leaving. Her legs were cold with the wet feeling of blood on them, but she payed no attention to that, although she should.

Vel sighed and walked back to her bench grabing her notebook and started wrighting again she didn't bother going to first period plus it was going to end soon problably anyways.
Her red eyes moved softly over reading the words she had wrightin slowly it wasn't much vel got to do something like this in a long time mostly people would just annoy her call her names or just put her into things that should be left alone. " finally I'm done " she said holding the notepad in the air above her head like she was trying to block the sun from her beaming red eyes.

The boy fidgeted uncomfortably in his position under the tree. This girl was even more creepy to him the more she spot. What the hell was she talking about? It was quite obvious at this point that the girl was analyzing everything Jak was saying. Maybe it would be best not to speak anymore, for fear that she might unravel his thoughts. She seemed plenty good at it, especially since she was bloody from the knees down. He chuckled, it was quite amusing that she would so quickly brush off someone's help to deeply scan the dark figure in front of her. Jak ran a pale hand through his blonde locks, giving a clear view that he was no to be tampered with. This girl, Hollie, was giving him a headache. Not just her words, but the awkward silence that she continued to urge against. Jak liked silence, and from what he could tell there was no getting any peace and quiet with the dictionary standing before him.

Jak scanned the girl over again, her book still laying in the grass. Despite his distaste for all things people, she had an alluring smell to her. Not one put off by someone "normal". He wondered if he should delight her his name, course it would just be his short first name. Could that tell her everything about him? Jak eyed the girl. He had no intention of telling this girl his deeper inside thoughts. But before he could stop himself from speaking "Jak" rolled painfully from his tongue. "Now would you stop pestering me?" he growled lowly, trying to hide the fact that he was making small talk. And anger rolled over him, this was exactly what he was trying to avoid.
