RHIYA AL-DHOULH
Rhiya fidgeted on the tree branch on which she perched, shifting her weight slightly. Being a bird at the moment, the branch hardly moved, maybe one leaf shuddering slightly as a small motion of her wings created a burst of air. She was... well, she was watching. Stalking, more like it, given that her purpose in life was to teach these kids and she'd be introduced to them later on in classes and such but- Rhiya thought that was a horrible way to get to know someone. A classroom was confinement, a sort of cage, and there were plenty of grounds here for the students to spread out across and for Rhiya to... well... Stalk. Perhaps a cat would have been a better form but a cat was less mobile. A shock of air knocked Rhiya off her perch with a surprised caw as an angel? Yes, an angel landed nearby. There were wings at least, so it could have just been a very selective shapeshifter, who knew? Guessing the new students' races or powers or strengths and weaknesses was the best game of the start of the school year. Sometimes people surprised Rhiya, sometimes they were (regrettably) predictable.
The wind blew Rhiya out of the tree, and she took advantage of the dislodgment to fly up to a dorm window. The first was empty. The second she checked was empty too, even after Rhiya tapped on the pane. The third showed at least one girl, maybe too. She was a crow at the moment, not a falcon, so her eyesight wasn't as good, especially with the glare of the glass interrupting her view. With an triumphant caw, Rhiya tapped on the windowpane with her beak, repeatedly, hoping someone would let her into the room. Yeah, sure, there was probably an issue with being in the dorms of the students, but Rhiya wasn't really known for being... well... she was an ace, and that was it.
