Ciel took a step out of his mother's car and walked towards the school. The reason he wasn't driving wasn't because he didn't have a driver's license. It was because he was blind and deaf. If he were to drive he would be mistaken for a senior citizen. So by law and the safety of others he wasn't allowed to drive. Ciel couldn't just let Onii-chan drive or people would probably freak the hell out. So he was stuck with his parents driving him around. 'Your parents told you to have a safe year. I do not see why they say that to you when you clearly can't hear them.' Onii-chan said via telepath. "I don't see why they do such-" Ciel started before he suddenly tripped but luckily he caught himself. "Onii-chan!" Ciel said getting annoyed. He guessed Onii-chan was still mad at him for comparing him to a seeing eye dog. 'Sorry. I was still upset. From now on your path is clear.' Onii-chan said to him via telepath. Ciel shook his head and continued towards the school. Onii-chan eventually led Ciel to the front office. He put on the 'defenseless deaf and blind kid' act on and held out his hand. Luckily the front office secretary knew Morse Code and so did Ciel. He was forced the learn it. Thought Onii-chan told him what the secretary was saying also. 'She says you're in dorm 6 along with a roommate.' Onii-chan said.

Ciel, after receiving the key, was escorted to his room. He hated being escorted by people he didn't know that well. It was highly annoying. Once there Ciel threw his bags down. "I need you Onii-chan." Ciel said and out popped his older brother from the stuffed animal. He knew exactly what to do. He raised one hand and up raised Ciel's belongings right out of the bag, along with his black rabbit he smuggled into the school. They all then suddenly went into the drawers from what type they were. The shirts at the top, underwear in the middle, pants in the near middle, and socks in the bottom. Of course his shoes were just next to the drawer. The skinny fragile boy then put his rabbit in it's cage the moment after Onii-chan disappeared. Onii-chan then helped him (sorta) get the the cafeteria where he was helped by many cute and caring girls to get to his breakfast and get settled at a table, where they also sat fawning over how adorable and childish he looked. He made sure he didn't let Onii-chan translate as he felt around for his tea cup where he brought it up to his lips and took a sip.

Tanisha couldn't help but to laugh at Charity's reaction to the red haired boy. Obviously he was a menace, just as he looked. But Tanisha didn't mind that. At least he knew how to have fun, right? Glancing around once more, she noticed someone else now who was sitting near a tree, eating what appeared to be beef jerky. "Mmm, beef jerky. Haven't had that in a while..." Only now did she notice that she was actually feeling a bit hungry. After all, it had been about 4 hours by now since she had eaten breakfast... But she would deal with her hunger later. For now, finding her dorm was more important.

She now followed Charity into the building and up to the front desk. She watched as Charity flipped through a book, finding their names quickly like a pro. She was obviously pretty used to this so maybe that meant that her and Airi weren't the only ones to ever not know their dorm room numbers. This made her feel a little bit better about the whole situation. But nonetheless, she would have to try and start being a little bit more responsible if she wanted to do well here at school. She didn't want to let her parents down.

With a smile, Tanishia listened as Airi answered Charity's question on what brought them to this Academy. Airi said she was here to learn magic and for painting. Tanisha wondered what her paintings looked like. She always wondered how some people were so talented at things like that. Some paintings she had seen were so beautiful and breathtaking, she almost wished she could paint like that as well. But she was a little bit better in the field of photography. Airi finished and it was now her turn to answer. "Well... I wanted to come here to learn Magic as well. More specifically, to learn more about my own power and how to better use it... But I wasn't really sure what class that would be and so I ended up just signing up for Photography and Sculpting." She laughed. "Not that I am a pro at sculpting... Far from it. But I thought it would be fun!"

User Image The machine reacted a few seconds to the User Imagesound of somebody with traces of an Scottish brogue staring at the pair. Slowly, it's head swiveled on it's stubby neck, and a giant metal hand reached back and gripped the hilt of a sword. A sound similar to grinding gears emitted from it's throat as it glared at her beneath a face guard.

The creature's companion seemed to have a more tempered reaction: Turning to face Delia, he gave a sigh of relief. Maybe another intelligent creature on this god-forsaken campus for him to get some directions off of? It was worth a shot, and hell if he wasn't lost...

"Excuse me? Would you happen to know where I could locate a map to my dormitory? Idiot over here cleaned it's toes with my first one." Here, he turned and glared at his mechanical companion, who merely shrugged, it's shoulders rising and falling in lazy acquiescence of the statement. For his own part, the man signed and pushed his goggles up onto his forehead. "Oh, give it a rest, she's not going to bloody attack us." He snapped at the machine. "Anyway...names Seamus. Seamus C. Cogwiler."

It had been somewhat of a long flight for Seraphina to get from her home country to where Delacourte Academy was. But being an Angel now, it was absolutely no trouble at all. Aside from the fact she had to carry her bag with her. Luckily she had packed lightly though. Just the clothes she needed, some toiletries and her school supplies. She loved her wings, so majestic and strong, so beautiful. She wouldn't trade them for anything. A chance to be human again maybe... But she wasn't too sure of that. She had healing abilities now which could help people in ways she couldn't even dream of as a human.

She landed now with grace in between the Academy entrance and the dorms building, stretching her wings out to full span before making them disappear in the blink of an eye. One of the perks of being an Angel on Earth. It made things a lot more easier when it came to wondering around in buildings. She couldn't imagine how frustrating it would be to have to walk through buildings with them. Knocking everything over and having them bump into people... It definitely wouldn't be any fun.

Seraph looked around at her surroundings. There seemed to be a lot of students arriving now as well, so she wasn't the only one. She had seen a guy zip by on a penny board not too long ago. There was another guy sitting by a tree eating some beef jerky. There was also three girls standing in front of the dorm building. One of them seemed to be helping the other two out with finding something. Looking the other way, she seen an odd duo; A man and a robot. Interesting. They had stumbled upon a girl who seemed to be fascinated with the robot. Seraph chuckled to herself. This looked like it was going to be quite an interesting place.

Both of the girls were in possession of magical abilities, it seemed, and Charity was delighted. They both seemed to be in classes she regularly attended. Airi expressed an interest in painting, and she nodded politely. She wasn't very good at drawing or painting or anything with her hands like that, but she was a lot better when looking through the viewfinder of her camera. Turned out that Tanisha was a bit of a shutterbug, too!

"I'm sure I'll be seeing you two in some of my classes, then!" Charity exclaimed. "White Magic in particular is my strong suit. And Photography is a personal passion of mine, as well," she added to Tanisha. Her camera was in its case, in her room, safely tucked away until the shutterbug mood caught her. "I can't say I'm not hoping the two of you won't look into the student council...but I'll save the recruitment spiel for the Extracurricular Fair next week." Her smile turned almost wicked--she was a bit ruthless when it came to her favorite student activity.

Finally she stopped in front of a door, placing her hands on her hips. "Here we are," she said cheerfully, indicating Dorm 10 to them with a cheery wave of her hand. "Turns out you ladies are roomies, so that makes my job a heck of a lot easier!" She laughed brightly, unlocked the door and then handed each of them a key. "You guys need any help getting settled in? I've already been unpacked for a while." This, mainly, was because she lived at the school over the summer...but nobody needed to know that yet.

The great mechanized creature reacted defensively, but Delia did not flinch. Small and delicate-looking she might be, but she was skilled in plenty of defensive spells and was sure that, despite the wicked-looking weapons on its person, she was sure she could handle herself. Her eyes finally darted to the young man who was with the machine--its handler, perhaps?

She gave a laugh when he chastised the creature, shaking her head slightly. "I don't bite, watchdog, less I'm given a reason to," she said, directing this at the machine. The boy introduced himself and she nodded, as if tucking the information away in a file. "Seamus. Good to meet you."

Her eyes darted to the large creature momentarily before settling back on its human counterpart. "I would be happy to help you out," Delia said with a small smile. "I was on my way to the library, but I'll show ya to the droms." She shrugged, and started to lead the way before turning back to face him, holding up a finger. "One condition: tell me a little bit about your friend here whilst we walk." Her lips twitched into a smile. "Oh, I'm Delia, by the way."

RHIYA AL-DHOULH

Rhiya fidgeted on the tree branch on which she perched, shifting her weight slightly. Being a bird at the moment, the branch hardly moved, maybe one leaf shuddering slightly as a small motion of her wings created a burst of air. She was... well, she was watching. Stalking, more like it, given that her purpose in life was to teach these kids and she'd be introduced to them later on in classes and such but- Rhiya thought that was a horrible way to get to know someone. A classroom was confinement, a sort of cage, and there were plenty of grounds here for the students to spread out across and for Rhiya to... well... Stalk. Perhaps a cat would have been a better form but a cat was less mobile. A shock of air knocked Rhiya off her perch with a surprised caw as an angel? Yes, an angel landed nearby. There were wings at least, so it could have just been a very selective shapeshifter, who knew? Guessing the new students' races or powers or strengths and weaknesses was the best game of the start of the school year. Sometimes people surprised Rhiya, sometimes they were (regrettably) predictable.

The wind blew Rhiya out of the tree, and she took advantage of the dislodgment to fly up to a dorm window. The first was empty. The second she checked was empty too, even after Rhiya tapped on the pane. The third showed at least one girl, maybe too. She was a crow at the moment, not a falcon, so her eyesight wasn't as good, especially with the glare of the glass interrupting her view. With an triumphant caw, Rhiya tapped on the windowpane with her beak, repeatedly, hoping someone would let her into the room. Yeah, sure, there was probably an issue with being in the dorms of the students, but Rhiya wasn't really known for being... well... she was an ace, and that was it.

I signed up for the White Magic class!" she was glad that she might be able to have a class with Charity seeing as she wasn't part of their dorm. She tilted her head when Charity brought up the fair, Airi's eyes sparkled with delight -- she loved fairs, especially if this meant she could meet even more new people and join a club that she'll be interested in. After all she was sure she wanted to do more than just attending classes.

Airi's smile widened when the news of her being roomies with Tanisha came about, she was extremely relieved that she'll at least be room-mates with someone she knows and plus Tanisha was also new to the school just like herself, she turned to face Tanisha, her smile widening, "I'm so glad we're going to be roomies!" she said as she clasped her hands together, clearly excited. She smiled at Charity after giving them their keys and had offered to help them get settled in, "Wow you must be quick at unpacking!" her eyes twinkled with interest but she shook her head, "I'm okay, but why don't you come in and sit and chat with us? That'll be alright, right Tanisha?".

Chez returned Charity’s wave, watching her led the two new girls into the dorm building as he finished the small piece of jerky. He should probably go find his dorm, if only to drop off his bag and start the awkward opening conversation with whoever was his roommate. He really hoped that he wasn’t rooming with a new student. That had happened the year before and although it ended well, the poor boy was scared to sleep for the first month or so. Nothing but rumors had happened to cause it, but he still felt a little bad for it. He could only hope the school had realized it as a mistake and changed it this year.

He people watched for a few moments longer before deciding that he should just get it over with. He shoved the jerky in his bag and carefully stood, grabbing the cane and slowly making his way to the boy’s dormitory. The school seemed to have grown in popularity, the grounds filled with more new faces than familiar ones. It was nice to see that the school was doing well, even if he was on the downside of his time here.

He reached the dorm building before remembering that he had the dorm information in his bag. Leaning against the wall, he dug through the backpack and produced the paper, only to scan it quickly and put it back. Number 4. he repeated to himself as he entered the building, holding very short small talk with some boys lingering inside before continuing on his way. The building seemed to be just as lively as the outside world, filled with people catching up with old friends and/or trying to find their rooms. Luckily his room was somewhat close to the front of the hall. Less distance to walk.

Chez pulled out the key, unlocked and opened the door, instantly seeing a body on the window bed. Great, he had no time to think about how to put what he was delicately. Another moment passed before he realized it wasn’t going to be a problem. “Oh great, I’m rooming with you.” he said with his best attempt as sarcasm, only to realize it was in vain since Devin had headphones on. He lightly frowned and tilted his head. Was the other sleeping? The dark haired male shrugged, moving to the other bed and throwing the bag down before sitting, putting more thought in just living out of the bag rather than properly unpacking.

tab tab tab It was often exhausting at her parents’ house. In fact, it was exhausting just hearing the noises from it. With her father’s P.I. work, he often had phone calls requesting his work. With her mother’s dog sitting business, it was always lively at her house. She had spent most of her summer with her father, helping him with his phone calls, and gathering things that he couldn’t. There had been a time that her father took her to the beach – after tricking her into thinking there was a job there – she had given gone to a water park. Although, for her each place wasn’t as interesting as her father thought it was. The man had a simple mind – except when it came to his work. He had always tried to get her to smile, although he had his work cut out for him. Her mother had tried to get her to help watch the dogs, which had ended up with her covered in dog slobber – which was the down of her summer.
tab tab tab But now, her mother continued to speak while driving and she was resting her head on the window with her eyes closed. She had been in this position for the last two hours. Since the airport, her mother had been going on and on about something, although about what she had no idea, as she wasn’t paying attention. “Alja!” her mother’s voice woke her up, only then realizing that she had fallen asleep. “Darling, are you feeling alright? We’re here, if you don’t feel up to it . . . “ her mother trailed off. She stood up properly, “I’m fine mother, just a bit tired.” She said calmly. Her mother gave her a look before nodding. As she got out of the car, her mother smiled. Alja stretched her cramped body before she grabbed her shoulder bag that had been sitting at her feet. “I’ll see you next summer mom.” She said before she shut the door. Turning away she looked at the different shops, “At least call!” her mother called out before she drove away.
tab tab tab Alja had been attending the school since the previous year. And this was the second time that she had her mother just drop her off at the town. It didn’t take her long to get back to the school, the place that had been her home last year. Looking at the building as she walked forward into the school. She looked down to the new faces. Some of them had traits that were noticeable, such as pointed ears on an elf, and horns on a demon. For Alja, there was nothing about her that people could tell. She looked and sensed just like a human, one with no powers. However, there was something about her that spirits could notice. When she had traveled to Scotland several years ago, she was told that she had the same aura as a will o’ wisp. And it had turned out, that it was something only spirits and fairies could notice. Although, after she went back home, she hadn’t run into anybody who could see it.
tab tab tab She had taken small classes over the summer to keep her brain fresh. It helped when her father had deaf client, since she had taken ASL classes. Although she was still new to it, she was picking it up rather quickly. Although she already understood the hand signals, she was still adjusting to it with her own hands. She got her dorm key before heading off to the dorms. There was no doubt that there were people that she already knew here. Due to her previous year at Delacourte, she had met lots of people, although only befriending a few. Despite her helpful nature, it seemed that a lot of people were put off by her expressions, or rather the lack of. It didn’t bother her much, since she knew enough people that it got her by.
tab tab tab Getting to the dorm buildings and then attempting to find her dorm. On her way she passed an open door that held two familiar faces. It was Devin, one of the people she had met last year. Though they had met through a rather odd way. But it was to be expected with the male siren. She stood at the door way, tilting her head to the side.It also seemed that he was roomed with Chez, although she didn’t know much about him as she didn’t talk to him very often. The man did still strike her interest, so she did hope that she would be able to talk to him sometime this year. It seemed that Devin was sleeping, although it came only as a small surprise. Figuring that she would bump into him later, she moved on. It didn’t take her long to find her room, where she unlocked the door and walked in. She looked around before leaving. She had all that she needed in her shoulder bag – her mother had made sure that everything was brought before.

User Image "What? This old hunk of iron?" He asked as he slapped the great machine's side with a loud bang. User Image 1"Well, Delia, his energy distribution systems are practically obsolete now that most steamjacks run on purified necrotite, but he's a far sight stronger than most 'jacks of his age considering that he's had a whole bunch of work done to him." Here, the steamjack held it's arm out, and Seamus knocked on the steel plating with a satisfied nod. "Currently, I've been using two inch thick steel plating over an armored rune-plate iron composist that interfaces directly with his cortex rather than being sent through an arc relay, which vastly improves physical reaction time. Using this kind of system also takes a massive load off of his arcane accumulator, so he can run for a lot longer on about half as much coal as the 'jacks in Cygar or Khador, and that combined with the Kelvis Energy Field Generation Device means he can take hts and give them out all day." He waved his hands wildly as he spoke, and the steamjack seemed to be preening as it;s owner went on. "But the real beauty of Door-Knocker...that's his name...is these fists: a pair of two ton cannon balls amplify whatever force is applied when the gravitational negation matrix and cortex link enhancers get warmed up. The amplification happens at about a three to one ratio, and the feedback from the blow itself gets recorded by the seismic monitor next to the cortex, so really it's about a 3 and a half to one ration, and the system cools down every twenty seconds and can remain in standby for up to six hours before the pnuematics automatically redistribute the stored kinetic energy into the arcane accumulators, refueling him for about another thirty minutes."

xxxxxDevin was standing in the center of a green field, small patches of flowers splashing through the pool of green. It was beautiful, yet a bit unusual at the same time. "Devin~! I love you~!" The red-haired boy looked around, searching for where the voice was coming from. Somebody loved him, and it wasn't because he was singing. That was a first. "Where are you?" He called out, stumbling over a patch of forget-me-nots. "I'll always be here for you~~" The voice sounded once again, echoing around him. Devin dusted himself off, looking up just in time to see the one and only, Muffin Man. "Eat me~"

                                                          ---Reality---

xxxxx"Muffin Man... come back..." Devin muttered in his sleep, his arms reaching at nothing. As his arms reached out for his Muffin Man, the boy rolled slightly to the side, causing him to take a rather unfortunate fall, land straight on his face followed by the sound of a loud, unpleasant thud. [********] was the first word that he managed to get out as he was pulled away from his dream world. With a groan, Devin pushed himself up into a sitting position with his back against the side of his beloved window bed. "That is going to leave a nasty bruise." he commented, rubbing his forehead. Devin pulled his headphones back down around his neck and threw his head back on the mattress he was leaning on, just movement from the bed across from him caught his attention.

xxxxxIt was Chez, sitting on the other bed in all of his captivating cannibalistic glory. "Oh, hey Chez." He greeted with a faint smile, the grogginess and pain from the previous fall evident in his voice. For a second, he noticed Alja at the door of their dorm, but she disappeared after just a second. "What are you doing here, man?" Devin yawned, standing up on his feet, only to throw himself back on the bed. The boy took a moment to stretch out every part of his body. Despite the fact that he looked as if he was conducting some sort of exorcism in his body, it was a habit for him to do so every time he woke up. Besides, it felt good.

xxxxxFinally, Devin took the liberty to sit up and cross his legs, staring at his friend for a little longer than whatever was deemed comfortable before his eyes finally landed on the bag beside him. Another couple of seconds of silent staring passed as the gears in his brain slowly started to work again. "Wait, Chez. You're my roommate?" he asked, eyes widened. The surprise eventually melted down to his usual grin as a celebration began within his brain. "Who better to room with than a man who knows how to cook." Devin commented, patting the guy on the knee.

Tanisha's interest had also peeked when Charity mentioned that there would be a fair next week. That sounded like fun! A great opportunity for meeting a lot of new people. She did, however, notice that Charity's grin seemed to turn mischievous when she mentioned recruiting for the student council... Tanisha didn't think this was something she would be interested in... So maybe staying away from Charity at the fair would be a good idea. Even though she was very much enjoying her company right now. Tani chuckled.

Delighted to hear that her and Airi were going to be roomies, Tanisha took the keys from Charity. This made things a lot more easier. Her and her roomie had already been introduced and seemed to get along just fine! "Yes, me too! This is awesome." She agreed with Airi.

Charity mentioned that she had already finished unpacking her stuff and was willing to help them with theirs. "Wow... She must have been here really early." That must have sucked, she thought. But she supposed that obviously there were people out there who liked getting up really early. And those who liked to sleep in. Tanisha kind of fell in the middle of that. Tanisha nodded when Airi asked if it was alright to have Charity come in and chit chat. "Of course! Come on, let's get unpacking." She laughed a bit as she carried her bag inside now.
