"That was an illusion of him carrying me, and quiet frankly I'm a bit embarrassed on it." she said with a long sigh, walking along tree roots careful not to trip and fall straight on her face. She didn't want to give Akihiko more to pick on her with. As they cleared the wooded area, Seika turned her head to the left, hearing familiar voices.
"Ah, Ben found our long lost Via" she amusing said, loud enough for them to hear. "So what are we gonna do? One more round before heading back to the dorms, or something totally different?" she asked, not really caring what they do, since no matter wat they did it turned out ablot of fun.

“There you guys are!” Ben shouted. “Why was I stuck with the Verdraai?” he smirked at Caleb “Anyways, I wanted to ask you something.” He looked back to Seika. “You said that you had another power or something like that.”((This is for my master post, prepare yourselves *Insane laugh*))

Akihiko had to get up and follow Seika.It wasn't long until Ben had found Via and they had come over to Aki and Seika.He shrugged "It's what ever you guys wanna do, I really don't mind." He took in the sights and smells for a good last time since he wasn't gonna say this way for much longer.As simple a form as this it was too tiring to keep up for so long and he could end up staying this way forever, forgetting his past and becoming a cat completely.He eyed up everyone as Ben mentioned a second power of Seika's.Things would be getting interesting.

Caleb wrapped an arm around Seika a s**t-eating grin on his face. "Seika, you hiding something from me?" he asked, waiting for a punch or elbow in the ribs or something physical and painful. But nothing did. Instead she just looked up at him with a wicked smile of her own.
She touched the bareskin of his arm, and an image of his past flashed before his eyes, it felt like it was real: the wind on his face, the sun heating his skin, the laugher of his borthers in his ears. Then it faded and he was indeed impressed. "So that's what your talking about?"

She nodded, and removed his arm from around her shoulders. "So do you all wanna see what he just saw?" she asked, glad that her theory worked, and she was alittle surprised she could witness the past of people, maybe even things. "It's really cool.' she added, a promise.
((Omg guys...I glass of a screwdriver and I'm so buzzed...of course I didn't eat much at all today so it probably causing that problem....whoo hoo. Okay...I need to eat something, enjoy the post. And Mask....I'm prepared!))

Seika laughed at Ben's enthuiastic behavior. "Okay okay, your next" she laughed, holding ut her hand for him to grasp. "Just relax okay?" she waited for him to place his hand in hers so she could let him witness what she learned she could do.

Ben was walking with his parents on a hiking trip in Madagascar. They had seen the lemurs, lions, and a few zebra. But Ben wanted to see the crocodiles most of all. He heard of one, Killer Croc as they called it. It was supposed to be the largest crocodile on Madagascar, and the third largest in the world. It was said to have eaten people, but no one dared to kill or catch it.They were heading for a place that was made clear for camping when Ben said to his parents.
“Mom, Dad, when can we see the crocodiles?”
Ben’s mother smiled at him. “We can’t see them Benny, it would be dangerous.”
“Aww, but mom!”
“Listen to your mother Ben,” said his father. “It’s like they say, ‘Mother knows best’.”
Ben grumbled, pouting at his dad. “Crocodiles are so cool.”
“I know they are son,” said his father. “But they’re also dangerous. They could tear you to shreds in seconds.”
Ben pouted more. He knew his dad was right, but he wouldn’t admit it. For so long, since he heard about this trip, Ben wanted to see what he could take from a crocodile. So for most of the day, he tried to steer their hike to the crocodile habitat, though it proved useless.
The group began setting up camp, Ben’s father set the tents, his mother unpacked the food and sleeping bags, and, to his joy, Ben was to get the fire wood. The map showed that there was a small forest that was kept for campers was a kilometer from their campsite, so Ben volunteered. It took some convincing, and a lot of “PLEEEEEAAASSSEEEE!” ’s, but his parents finally caved and agreed.
Ben decided to run as fast as he could to the forest. He thought if he got enough fire wood fast, he could sneak a peek at the crocodile habitat. Once he got there, he found a nice dead tree. He had to find a few pieces, as he wasn’t allowed to use an axe, but he was able to gather enough wood and pack it in his explorer pack.
He made a right turn, when he should have turned left, to get to the crocodiles. Ben stared in awe as he looked down a steep hill that leads to a swamp. The reptiles were much bigger than the books or TV said. And their scales, oh their scales. So rough and hard, yet so colorful and protective. “Wish I had armor like that…” Ben whispered as he continued to stare.
He wanted to go down there, wanted to pet one of the lizards and use his abilities, he would talk with them, learn from them. But he knew he was now running late with the wood, so it would have to wait. Ben turned around, placing his left foot in front of him. He raised his right foot… and slipped.
Time froze for him as he looked to his left foot, seeing it sliding in a small lump of animal droppings. Ben tossed the wood in the air and rolled down the hill. Each thump of his body matching his heart rate. He knew what those things would do to him, he’d die by the jaws of his most beloved creatures. How ironic.
Ben landed in the murky waters with a loud splash. He coughed as the mud and grim entered his lungs and blinded his eyes. Ben felt around for the grass, hoping he could climb back up the hill, but he only felt more water.
As his vision began to clear, Ben could see the dry mud leading to the grassy hill. It would be his ticket home. He could tell his parents he fell in a puddle; it did rain the day before. Ben crawled to the mud, slipping on the underwater muck every now and then.
His palms squeezed a handful of grass as he climbed closer to his salvation. But, when he had his second hand on the grass, he heard a snap. This was followed by an excruciating amount of pain that shot through his left leg. Ben turned his head to see his left leg, from the shin down, was within the jaws of a large crocodile.
The lizard jerked its head to the right, snapping Ben’s leg, and forcing him back into the muddy waters. Ben screamed in agony as he choked on more dirty water, his leg being swallowed and finally tearing off. He wanted to cry, but the water took all his tears.
Ben clawed at the stump where his leg once was, trying with all his might to keep from fainting. He crawled as fast as he could to where he hoped land was, but again, snap, pain, jerk. His right leg did not come off, rather, it was bleeding from missing a large chunk. Ben clawed his way to a rough surface. Screaming as his legs pulsed with horrible pain.
He assumed he was on land, as the crocodile stopped attacking. It gave him time to rub his eyes. Sure, his legs were in pain, but his power put him through constant pain when taking parts. It helped him deal with it, for now. But the problem he had now was getting back to his parents.
Ben rubbed the last of the muck from his eyes, happy he could finally see after all that. Though seeing his legs, he wished he was blind. The left one was gone, nothing but a bloody thigh. The other one was covered in bite marks, as well as missing half a calf. Ben wanted to vomit, wanted to scream some more, but it would both do him no good, and alert nearby crocodiles.
He looked to his left and saw the grassy hill, it was only three meters from him, he could LIVE. Ben slowly dragged himself across the rough surface, wanting to stay as far from the water as possible. The ‘log’ seemed to stretch far enough for him to crawl to shore.
Ben was but a meter from salvation when the ‘log’ growled. Ben turned around to see two giant reptilian eyes staring back at him. It was him, it was Killer Croc. Its large yellow eyes pierced his soul, studied him like a specimen, and hypnotized him.
The monster of a reptile opened its great jaws, showing fresh blood on its teeth. Ben couldn’t move, he couldn’t breathe. He wanted to shout for help, but his breath was caught in his throat. The only thought that came to him was. ‘Use your powers’
As the Croc moved closed, Ben slammed his palms onto its back, and used his powers. The reptile roared in pain as it seemed to bubble, being sucked into Ben’s hands. Ben felt little pinches in his body, but ignored them. Soon, the mighty Killer Croc was gone, Ben had absorbed its entire being. He almost felt proud of himself, ridding the safari of the croc, but his pride was soon replaced with pain.
Ben began to bleed from his pores as he felt millions of tiny knives tearing through hid flesh. His muscles tore and stretched, and his bones cracked. He let out a pain filled scream as his teeth fell out, and his gums bled as razor sharp fangs tore their way to air. The pain subsided for a little as blood stopped coming out his skin. But now, he had no skin, instead, he had green scales. Ben fell unconscious when his legs began to burn. The last thing he heard was the crocodiles’ growls.
Ben slowly opened his eyes to find them covered in mud. He rubbed his eyes, and stared hatefully at his hands. Last night he had seen himself, but where was he? Ben looked around him, he wasn’t at that carnival, but he wasn’t in the swamp. He stood on shaky legs, trying to understand where he was. He had long accepted that his legs were better because of the absorption, but so were his freakish features.He was in the mud, that much was clear, but it had been raining a lot in Madagascar, he could be anywhere. He saw a sign, it said. “Next camp 1 KM.” Of course, he was in the woods that were for wood cutting. Ben ran, pretty fast, to his parents’ camp. He knew they wouldn’t recognize him, but he knew how to show them he was him.
Ben stopped when he saw the empty campsite. They most likely left to find him. He turned around and headed to the safari station, they HAD to be there. And they were. Ben saw his mom’s car parked in a different spot then last time, meaning they went looking for him and came back.
He approached the station, seeing his mom sitting on a chair crying, and his dad on the phone, yelling. This was obviously the wrong time for a four hundred pound crocodile/human to come in and say he’s their son. No, he needed to communicate in a way they only knew. Ben smiled when he got an idea.
He began to write in the mud, making numbers. He made sure to do this in front of the station door, so his parents would see it. After finishing it, Ben knocked on the door and ran away. The door swung open to reveal his father. Ben’s dad looked left and right, then looked down. He nearly jumped when he saw the numbers in the mud. “Honey! I know where Ben is!” he shouted.
Ben’s mom ran out the door and looked left and right. “Where’s my baby!?” she asked. His father pointed to the message. Ben’s mom looked confused. “It says… 13-5-5-20 13-5 1-20 20-8-5 3-1-13-19-9-20-5 1-20 597-8-20 16-13, 2-5-14…”
“Yes,” said his dad. “But in numeric it says “Meet me at the campsite at eight pm, Ben”.”
Ben smiled from his hiding spot in the bushes. He and his dad use to send each other ‘secret messages’ in games of hide and seek, since they were both really good. His dad used a system he still didn’t understand, but he used numbers. It was their way of communicating.
8 pm, campsite.
Ben squatted in the bushes as he saw his parents’ car pull up close. His mom held a large flashlight. Ben tossed a rock near them, gaining their attention. His parents got closer until he whispered. “Turn off the light…”
Ben’s parents jumped at his voice and how gruff it was, but complied. “Benjamin?” said his mother. “Where are you?”
“Mom… dad… I need to tell you something.” Ben said in a sad voice.
“What is it son?” asked his father, trying to find where he was.
“For a while now I’ve kept a secret from you two. I’m… a mutant…”
Ben’s parents froze, stopping their search. His father looked left and right, asking. “W-what do you mean?”
Ben took in a deep breath and spoke. “I have the ability to take the physical and biological parts of animals…”
Ben’s mother swallowed a lump in her throat, shining the flashlight where Ben’s ‘voice’ was coming from. “Ben… w-what happened?”
Ben stood, showing his form to his parents. The light shone on his face, exposing his teeth and scales. His mother let out a horrified scream, dropping the flashlight and breaking into a run. His father tried to grab her, making her slip in the mud.
“Mom!” Ben shouted, running towards her.
His mother screamed again, trying to run away from him.
Time skip.
Ben waited outside the station window, listening in on his parents’ conversation about him.
“That…THING is not my baby, it’s a monster!” shouted his mom.
“HE’S our son!” responded his father. “He’s kept this secret from us and for it you want to abandon him?!”
“That thing ate our son, he just took his memories!”
“How can you be so heartless?! He’s our child-”
“Our child is DEAD! That thing killed him, and now you believe his lies!?”
“Your being irrational.”
“No! I’m the only one making any sense here. First you tell me my son’s a freak, and now you expect me to except him as that monster!? NO! I’m making perfect sense when I say we need to leave that thing to its fate. It needs to be locked up and studied. Or better yet, it needs to die-”
“Don’t you DARE say such things about your own flesh and blood!”
“Jonathan Cage, if you refuse to leave that monster here, then I refuse to stay your wife!”
“Listen to yourself! You’d divorce me because our son looks different?!”
“I told you, it’s NOT our son!”
“Damnit, we’ve done a blood test, we’ve asked him questions only HE would know. He is our son!”
“Then I refuse to raise him!” yelled his mom, storming outside to face him. “You!”
“M-mom I-”
“I’m not your mother, and you know it. I don’t know what you are, but you’re not my son.”
“But I am!” Ben cried, tears welling up in his eyes. “I have all my memories.”
“Oh? And you’re sure you’re not just a confused monster who THINKS he’s my son? When my son used his… power, how are you sure the crocodile didn’t take over? How do you know you’re not just Killer Croc with a bad memory?”
Ben’s heart sunk as he heard that. Was she right? Was he merely the Killer Croc, confused and blind to his identity? He wasn’t able to answer, as she tore the wedding ring from her finger and threw it at Ben’s father. She hopped into their car and drove off.
That was the last time he saw her in real life.
Time skip.
Ben and his father arrived in Africa like planned. Two days ago his mother left on a plane home. His father stayed with him, but he had no money to support him. That’s why Ben was required to live in the storm drain tunnels under the city
His father got a job as a butcher at a meat shop. It was perfect; Ben was always fed the leftovers at the shop, as well as the unwanted parts. Ben found it fun to surprise a few people by coming up a few times. They would call him Killer Croc and chase him around. It was like hide and seek.
They never caught him, never. He was too fast, too smart for them to catch him.
Ben’s dad now walked the street, a plastic bag of meat in his hands. He went into an ally and up to a storm drain. He knocked on it a few times, before smiling as it lifted up to reveal a wet and muddy Ben.
“I got you some more food son.” He whispered.
“Thanks dad.” Ben smiled, grabbing the bag and tossing it below him. “I had a fun game today.”
Ben’s father sighed, wiping some sweat from his brow. “I really wish you’d stop riling the towns people up like that.”
Ben just smiled in return, grabbing the drain cover and crouching to place it back. He looked at his father from the drain and said. “But then I’d get board.”
Yes, Ben truly loved it there, no matter how much he wanted to, he never cried about their situation.
One day, the owner of the meat shop found out about Ben. He was just like most people. He believed Ben was Killer Croc. So what did he do? Fire Ben’s dad? Threaten to? No, he did something much worse.
Ben couldn’t remember the fine details, but he remembered people accusing his father of murdering a little girl in the butcher shop. His dad was sent to a psychiatric hospital. Ben tried to visit, but they always chased him away.
Ben ran through the streets of the town, behind him was a crowd of people, all shouting at him. He smiled as he came upon a manhole cover. He lifted the metal circle and hopped into the dirty water. He knew what he was stepping in, but he always went the extra mile to remain the champ of his little games of ‘hide and seek’. It wasn’t like he was naïve, he knew they would hurt, or even kill him if he was caught, but he didn’t want to hide all the time, afraid. So he made it a game, he appears every now and then, they chase him, he hides, they lose and give up and leave, and he becomes that much better at the game.
It was so simple, yet so flawed.
He walked down the mucky halls of the sewers, his hand covering his nose. He may spend his hiding time there, but it didn’t make it any less smelly. He stopped when he saw a light come from a manhole up ahead. “So, their coming down here eh?”
Ben turned around to go the other way, only to stop when another manhole was opened. From the light came a small silver cylinder. The cylinder splashed into the water, and began to let out a white gas.
Ben ran the other way, going past the other open hole. Suddenly, another hole opened up, and from it, another cylinder came and released white gas. Ben had no choice but exit through the manhole in the middle of the two gases. He climbed the latter and jumped out of the hole. Just as he was about to run, he saw a man holding a gun to his stomach.
“Your father killed my daughter,” the man said angrily. “Now I’m repaying him.” He pulled the trigger, which released a small dart into Ben’s stomach. Ben felt the world go blurry as he lost sight and fell.
Everything was darkness, there was no sound, no light, just the utter darkness. Then, a crackled voice spoke, its tone filled with malice and death. “Tick tock Croc, let’s have some fun.”
Ben shoved Sekia away from him. He ran as fast as he could into the forest where he could escape. He tore the trees that got in the way down, trying desperately to find a way out as tears began to drip down his cheeks. He was too close to reliving the entire night of hell, and someone else could have seen him for the monster he was.

Witnessing Ben's past was hard, he went through so much. The vision ended uburptly and it dazed her till her felt a painful thud on her backside. Ben had pushed her down and ran off somewhere. Her stomache lurched and she ran off to puke, the last of his memories where sickening even when she only saw just a glimsp of the horrible part of Ben's nightmare.
((Okay I'm impressed...great job mask!))

Lilly let out an aggravated sigh.She'd managed to get lost in the forest looking for Via and the others."Fn' A!" She grumbled kicking a pebble.How in the world did she manage to get lost in thick forest?She couldn't climb the trees nor fly her way out and slashing randomly at brush and trees was not gonna solve her problem.She kicked a bit larger rock watching where it went.Loud thumping footsteps were coming her way in the direction she kicked the rock."Crap..." She thought pulling her sword out and readying herself for what ever was charging encase it was a hostile.Trees, branches and shrubs were being torn out of what ever was coming's way.Her legs felt weak in fear it was a dragon, as if they still existed, and her arms grew taut.She stood in a defensive position in stead of offensive, but was ready to switch if necessary.

Caleb wanted to make sure if Seika was alright, but he thought that wasn't a great idea to do at the moment as he heard wretching noises were she ran behind a tree after Ben tossed her. So instead he ran after Ben, it was a hard thing to do since Ben's legs were bigger and stronger than his, but hopefully solid objects might slow him down a bit for Caleb to catch up and figure out what happened. "BEN! HOLD UP YA BIG LIZARD!" he yelled after him.

Ben tore through the forest, seeing a angle like person, she looked familiar, but his memories were jumbled. His brain was filled with the sound of HIM.‘Tick…tock…..tick…….tock…….’ He said in Ben’s head, laughing that horrible laugh.
“Leave me alone!” Ben shouted, swinging his claws at a tree.
‘Tick….tock……..tick………….tock’

Via looked down at Seika sympathetically before she dashed off after Ben.
"BEN!!! BEN!!! PLEASE STOP!!" Via screamed at the top of her lungs. Via knew whatever Seika saw must have horrified her, because she didn't get up right away. Via quickly gained on Ben, just barely able to see him before he darted into the forest. "BEN!!" She yelled again, trying to get him to snap out of whatever he'd seen. Via knew someone who was that upset clearly wouldn't listen to reason--at least not if they weren't ready to.
{also, I'm finishing moving tomorrow, so after tonight this computer's getting shut off. So it might be a day or two before I have internets, and am able to access mah computer :/ -bows- sorrysorrysorrysorry~!!}

((that's alright, we won't get too far ahead of ya. BTW I'm going to be trying my hand at amv making. So I'll be alittle distracted with that, but I'll try to post once and a while.))
