Gone in an instant, as always he ran away from the problem. The instant her hand started to fall back to its side, he was up and out the door. He sprinted down the hall, as he rounded the corner, he nearly trampled Naiomi, but he quickly rolled around her and jumped down the stairs in a single bound. Ryoji ran out of the building, a deep anger rising within him. He sprinted as fast as he could toward the woods off in the distance. The boy ducked below tree branches, jumped over rocks, and ran deep into the woods. Ryoji needed to be alone, and he had no place where he could really do that. He prayed that no one would follow him; he needed to get away from everything. So he kept running, with each step he grew more and more angry. He skidded to stop in front of a rock, and punched it. Ryoji just kept punching the rock, alternating between fists; his fists were covered in blood in a few seconds. But he kept punching, even after his hands were numb, and there was no skin left on his knuckles. Finally, he broke down and dropped to his knees in tears. Ryoji just sat and wept in silence.
