Welcome to Basilicus Academy, the exclusive school for princes and princesses.
While it was your parents' decision to apply for you, we strive to make each and every student as happy as possible.
Our grounds are large and give students plenty of room to do as they please.
Even classes are generally held outside, weather permitted.
Guards are placed around the boarder of the grounds but students are aloud to roam as they please, as long as it is not off of school grounds.
And, as it is the hope of all, students are welcomed to befriend or even fall in love with other students.

The old castle was originally built in 1715 by Antero Lehtonen, a Finnish ruler, as a summer house and safe bunker for his beloved family.
However, because of a death in the family, the Lehtonens abandoned it.
Other rulers of different nationalities moved in and out over the years, the building claiming at least one family member of each owner.
(The castle is also known as Nex Domos; death house.)
Eventually, it fell into the hands of Mathew Othen, the future headmaster of Basilicus Academy, a local of the town just south of the castle.
Aware of the stories of the ghosts who haunt the halls, none of which have harmed humans, he transformed the old summer home into one of the most popular academies among royalty.
This is where our story begins.

FOR STUDENTS
No going off of school grounds.
Everyone must be in dorms by eleven o'clock pm; lights out at midnight.
Classes start at ten in the morning, and everyone has two per day, excluding weekends.
Pets of all kinds are welcomed, but they must be friendly.
And, of course, no fighting or sexual behavior.

FOR GHOSTS
Not only royals haunt the halls; if you wish to be a deceased guard or servant, be so.
Ghosts can materialize and be heard whenever they desire, and visa-versa.
Please write a short story (one or two sentences) about the most common sighting of your character.

FOR EVERYONE
This is a semi-lit to lit roleplay. I expect at least three proper sentences with decent spelling and grammar.
Please decorate your posts. A picture (of decent size) and name is fine, but more is gladly welcomed.
Classes will be time skipped, unless someone shows interest in being a teacher.
Follow all of gaia's rules.

xxx It was as if the universe knew, as if every cosmic being felt it too. The sun's glorious rays blocked by dull, gray clouds, sending shadows running to hide. The castle appeared somewhat dull against the clouded light, the lake like glass. It had been a while since the silence had taken back the land, trapping it in what seemed to be a picture. But everyone knew better, Oliver included. If anything, the young boy knew better than anyone. He was there when the last wall went up, spending many a winter exploring the corridors, trying to find a way outside without getting caught by his mother; he rarely succeeded.

Currently, the ghostly Finn stood at the edge of the forest, just a foot beyond the tree line, his gaze toward his home. Strange things have been happening. Strange, strange things. His first guess was that another family was moving in, and a very large one at that. But the way that the man--Oliver still didn't know his name despite having walked in on the man's many monologues--had organized everything threw him off. It just didn't make sense, bringing in that many beds and chairs, not to mention the use of the many buildings throughout the ground. Well, all but one.

"Mutsi..." Oliver called softly, using his native language to ask for his mother. He raised his gaze toward the upper floors of his fortress, instantly freezing as his gaze met another's. It was the man, who simply stared back through the clean window, his face emotionless. Oliver couldn't help but let out a light laugh, turning and disappearing into the tree line. The man's reactions amused him, as most of the living's reactions had. "Mutsi! Isä!" he yelled to the trees, his pace picking up until he reached the old stone building. There was no one else around. The ghost sighed, staring at the structure for a little while longer before turning and following the stream back, his mind already slightly distracted with the upcoming day's deeds from the loneliness and confusion that haunted him.
