She fought the erg to put her hand over her face, “Okay kids!” she said, speaking to everyone in the room, “I have to sign up these students, and you can all talk on the way. Ryushi, you may give our students a tour if you like, but after this, alright?” she knew her wanted to take the new girl specifically, but that would be unfair to the other new students, “And to the girl sitting on the front steps!” she spoke louder so that she could hear her, “I recommend you come inside and sign up with the others!” she cracked her neck and stood up as straight as possible. And in her commanding voice she asked, “Any questions?!”

Jeremiah chuckled. "You are very funny Seth...I thought you were in trouble when the other students crowded around you..." He paused after chuckling. "By your face, you don't look relaxed...but you might, I'm sorry if I offended you...but this ninja has many years of reading faces..."

Rhay jumped at the Headmistress's voice. She stood straight and let go of Seth's shoulder. "N-no ma'am," she said in a small voice.

Headmistress's was the nicest grown-up she had met, besides her mother. She didn't want to lose that.

Jeremiah smiled. "I have a question your highness..." He was feeling relieved himself, he caught the glimpse of a girl that looked like his Lady Nina and used his shadows to teleport her next to him and Seth. "So, are you going to follow the headmistress's advice, or are you going to stand there nervous?"

"The teacher can read minds, Rhay probably thinks I'm a fool and Miss Andromeda sees me like a lost little boy in a marketplace... simply spectacular..." he thought as he remain idle with a blank expression on his face. He wished he could speak up but a single word couldn't leave his lips. He was afraid he would make things worse. He thought it'd be best to follow along.

So he does have a sense of humor, she chucked to herself, maybe there’s hope for him yet. She didn’t hate him; in fact she didn’t even dislike him that much. She just didn’t like his attitude towards students. They where equal souls with opportunities and ideas that could help them all to succeed and grow; something that Maggie Andromeda loved to watch most. But they were not burdens, which is what Jeremiah tended to give off. I wonder if we’ll ever break through that spiteful shell of his….? MS. Andromeda walked down the stairs and stood in front of the new boy, “I am Headmistress Andromeda, Welcome to my academy.” She held out a hand to welcome him, “I apologize for my rudeness, I should have introduced myself earlier.”

Jeremiah looked to the headmistress. "I'll need to talk to you about my sense of humor and the behavior you think I have against the brats-...sorry the children..." He would have brought up the shell thought, but he'll talk later about that too...

This teacher had no respect for anyone's privacy. She didn't like that. She scowled at him, not caring whether her mind was read or not. "We are quite ready to follow you, Headmistress," Rhay said in her most politest voice, curtsying.

Seth raised his head to see Miss Andromeda's face clearly. He stared at her for a second or two. He could feel that she was truly a kind person, even though her mannerisms sometimes wouldn't show it. Seth took out his hand and gently grasped hers. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Headmistress" he said in a quietly. Her kindness made him feel relaxed.

She was half tempted to talk to Jeremiah right now. She wanted him to trust her, if they were going to continue to be colleges, then they had to find some common ground. She had to understand where he was coming from, and he had to except that sometimes she was right and that he had to leave it be. I can cooperate, she thought, knowing he would hear, but you have got to be willing to do it with me. She looked over to the new girl in the door way and called out, “Are you coming or not?!” in a playful tone. She looked over to the other new girl and thought, she is going to get backhanded by Jeremiah if she keeps this up… she didn’t really care if he heard or not, it was how she felt, why should she hide it? She stood in front of her and said, “You have confidence, and I like that. But Jer- I mean Mr. Dormin, is also a teacher, and one of these days he will teach you respect the hard way, and I may not stop him.” And finally she turned to Seth, she was almost tempted to tell him to call her Maggie, she hated the formity. But she was a teacher, and she had to keep her respectful head, “Ms. Andromeda will do fine, thank you.” She said in a kind voice.”

Seth was finally at ease as things were calming down. He nodded to the Headmistress "Um, yes Head- I mean, Miss Andromeda".
He lowered his head a bit still facing Miss Andromeda. "If it wouldn't be a problem, I would like a request a little bit of your time later in the day. I would like to ask you a few questions... in private" he whispered inconspicuously.

Her natural curiosity almost forced her to make him tell her now, but her will was strong. She overpowered the overwhelming erg. She smiled at him understandingly, “Yes of course,” she smile at him, “stay behind after everyone fills in the surveys and I will be happy to answer.” She looked over to Jeremiah, we can talk after he leaves, she thought, and I know that you probably already know both the question and the answer, but please at least pretend to respect his privacy by leaving and then coming back in when he’s done? She tried to think it in a polite tone, but she knew as well as he probably did that she wasn’t asking. The comfort and support of the students came first. He knew that.

"Damn, life is boring. Hey, who's the new chick" Ryushi asked himself. She appeared to be busy, but today was full of new students, and he figured why not make some new friends. He walked up to her, threw on his "werewolf charm" and casually tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey there, sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help but notice you were new, and wanted to introduce myself. The name's Ryushi, and you would be..."

Rhay considered Ms. Andromeda's little speech. Maybe she and Mr Dormin got off on the wrong foot? Or perhaps he was in a bad mood? She didn't want to have an enemy on the first day of school.. Rhay's face stayed blank and she didn't hear Seth's conversation with Headmistress. She was too absorbed in her own thoughts.
