The students wake up early this morning to the sound of a loud animalistic screeching noise coming from outside. They prepared themselves for the day ahead of them, equipping weapons, gear, and supplies. They slowly make their way to a cliff, where 12 square platforms are waiting for them. After Principal Temighan explaining to them that they are going to make their way to a temple at the farthest edge of the forest, they step onto the platforms. Then she speaks to the second and third years, instructing them their job is to protect the first years. The first years were then launched, flying them high in the air. Suddenly, a giant raven beast snatches one of the students right out of the air. It flew away, taking the girl to it's nest.

tab Aemilia’s eyes snapped open as she heard the loudest screeching noise. Covering her ears, she cringed in pain. She hated loud noises, her ears couldn’t take it. In fact, she was surprised that the windows weren’t breaking from the screech. After it was over, she opened her eyes, relaxing herself. At least the noise woke me up before it could get too bad. Before, she was in the middle of another nightmare. It wasn’t as bad that the past ones, but she knew it could’ve gotten so much worse in a blink of an eye. Everyone was now up, slowly getting ready for the day. Aemilia didn’t want to move, she just simply stayed in bed until she was certain that most of the girls were ready. She wasn’t up for socializing, not that she was up for it before. Then she felt someone’s foot trip over her leg, the person nearly falling to the ground. Before Aemilia could ask if the girl was ok, she quickly apologized and went on her way. I guess that’s my cue to get out of bed.

As she followed her brother to the meeting area, she couldn’t help but notice everyone’s clothes. I look completely out of place. She wasn’t wearing anything near battle clothes, it was simple clothes, fitted to be worn on casual occasions. But it was the only outfit that she could wear, it wasn’t like she could’ve borrowed her brother’s clothes. Where could I get battle clothes? Surely they don’t sell them on campus. It wasn’t as if she could make some either. She knew how to sew, but she didn’t know anything about what battle clothes were made of and all the details that would make them perfect for her. Oh god why didn’t I think of this before? It’s too late to even be thinking about getting one! Will I be reprimanded for not having one? Aemilia began to get nervous as they neared the cliff, twisting the end of her shirt.

She separated from her brother, joining the other first years as Mrs. Temighan spoke to them about their goal for the day. Apparently they were supposed to reach a temple at the farthest edge of the forest. How am I supposed to get there? Aemilia would most likely get lost in the huge forest, it looked like it stretched acres upon acres. Not only that, but she was horrible with speed, she couldn’t sprint to save her life let alone get to the edge of this forest. Plus if she wasn’t being slow, or getting lost, she was probably going to be attacked by beasts. She was disappointed in herself for being so useless when it came to the simplest tasks. This is probably a breeze for everyone else here. After Mrs. Temighan was finished talking, Aemilia reluctantly stepped onto one of the square platforms.

The countdown soon started, as ticking could be heard coming from the platforms. Soon enough, Aemilia was launched high into the air. She was doing her best not to panic, but soon enough she realized that she had no idea how she was going to land. Oh god why didn’t I think about this earlier! Solutions raced through her mind, all of them being crossed off one by one. For the life of her, she could not think of a way she could survive this. Maybe the trees will break my fall! No matter how optimistic she tried to be, she still got a sickening feeling in her stomach that made her know that something bad was going to happen. This is going to hurt so much. Closing her eyes, she braced for impact. But then, she felt something wrap around her, squeezing her tightly. Opening her eyes, she was horrified as she saw that a raven beast had captured her. Nonono this isn’t happening! She could make out any words, all she could do was scream at the top of her lungs as the bird kept flying.

It was at least another hour until the lovely sound of screeching animals would echo through the room in order to wake the other students up, Kira was one of the few students up and about at this current time and she was pretty happy with that, as it meant she would not have to wait long to get her breakfast.

Before heading to the cafeteria, Kira made sure to get changed into her battle cloths she knew they had an initiation of some kind today, which would determine who their partners would be and what team they would be apart of, the thought of it all excited her greatly. After getting dressed Kira opened up her bag and picked up her bo-staff broke it down and clipped it to her back "alright today's going to be good" Kira slapped her cheeks lightly before heading out the room and toward the cafeteria for breakfast.

It was no surprise to Kira that not many students were there, she saw plenty of teachers and some older students but from what she could tell none from her own year. Kira was pretty amazed at the selection of food the school had and it almost made choosing impossible, but playing it safe Kira opted for some fruit and a glass of water, she was going to need to be on top form today if she was going to pass the test.

                                                                                  -------

Finally the time had arrived, and students had started to gather in the meeting area and getting ready to begin the first task.

When everyone had arrived Mrs. Temighan spoke up, explaining the goal for today. The aim itself seemed fairly simple, reach the temple on the other side of the forest, Kira was not to worried about the size itself as she did not really have an issue when it came to stamina or navigation, the hard bit would be the beasts within the forest and although the teachers said nothing about them it was fairly obvious that they would be in there. The first years were the first called up and so Kira went up to the platform getting ready for the task at hand. A countdown from ten began and soon the first years were shot into the air.

The first few moments were exhilarating, Kira's excitement built as she soared through the sky, but she soon managed to regain her focus, landing would be a simple task aiming for a tree would be good so she would be able to get a view on the temple before charging through the forest to find it, It was a this point Kira noticed Amelia. Amelia was the young girl she had met the day before and it now appeared that very girl was in quite a bit of trouble she had been carried off by a bird like beast.

As Kira felt herself begin to drop to the ground she turned her focus to landing, focusing her strength on the lower half of her body, she managed to spot a clearing between the trees and aimed herself accordingly. With a large thud a small crater had now formed on the forest floor and in the center stood Kira "alright Landing successful" Kira held a triumphant look on her face. After brushing the dirt off herself, Kira headed toward one of the trees and climbed up, looking on ahead she managed to spot the temple and the bird that currently held Amelia captive "wow what luck" Kira had seen that the bird was also headed toward the temple, which meant she would be able to kill two birds with one stone, help out a friend and complete the allocated task.

Kira jumped down from the tree and started running in the direction of the temple, but of course things were never that simple and not long after Kira had begun darting toward the temple she was intercepted by a group of beowolves, about five or six from what she could tell on first glance. Not having a chance to think, Kira activated her semblance and sent one flying back before grabbing her bo-staff and clipping together in time to block the second ones incoming attack "well looks like the fun begins" a grin formed on Kira's face as she pushed the attacking beowolves back, and turning round to smash another one in the face.

tab Leana had gotten up relatively early compared to the rest of the students who slept on the same ballroom floor. She was an early bird afterall. She had tipped toed around the sleeping students and went to get herself ready for the day. She had missed the lunch ceremony before and she was going to make sure she wouldn't miss the event for today. Leana hummed a little song as she brushed her hair. She pondered whether or not to do her little pig tails. Deciding to leave it be, Leana went to put on her outfit. She was rather proud of her outfit since she had made it herself with the help of Reana, her motherly friend. It was a jacket with red lining and buttons, gold change and everything. It was rather long and passed off as a short dress, ending with a frilled hem. Knowing that her skirt would fly up, Leana always made sure to wear simple black shorts underneath. To go with her outfit, she wore her fingerless black gloves, high stockings and heels, and her shackles on her ankles.

tab Leana had walked around the school, familiarizing herself with the building. She didn't want to get lost on her first day. Of course, she was excited and couldn't wait to meet everyone. Roy had told her all about his friends and about the other students in the academy. It was her first time at a school such as Vou. She spent most of her life either floating or at a tavern. Of course she didn't mind being at the tavern but floating wasn't all that enjoyable. She felt like a balloon majority of the time. But that was the past and she didn't have to worry about floating away anymore! Unless she was crying...but that was different story.

tab A loud screeching sound was heard. Leana winced at the noise, figuring it was either a grimm or the school's way of waking up the entire student body. It didn't make a difference since everyone woke up at the sound. She went ahead to the cliff silently. She wondered why they were supposed to gather at the cliff. Maybe it was a demonstration? Who knows? It was Leana's first year at the academy, despite being a second year. She probably should've joined last year with Roy. Shrugging the thought off, her eyes scanned the crowd of students that began to form. She easily spotted Roy in the crowd. It wasn't hard to find a boy with orange hair and an eye patch. As everyone arrived, the principal began giving directions to the students. Leana listened intently, making sure to absorb Principal Temighan's words. Sounds easy enough! She thought. She watched as the first years stepped onto the platforms. After a countdown, they were shot into the sky. Leana blinked in surprise. Did they really just shoot a bunch of kids into a forest infested with grimm? It was rather unexpected...but Leana wasn't sure what she was expecting in the first place. At least flying and landing were an easy task for the purple haired female.

tab When the second years were called up, Leana stepped on the platform. She could already feel the wind against her face. She took her position, confident in her ability to ace the test. The countdown dragged along before she was shot in the air. As soon as she was up in the air, Leana activated her weapon. Her shackles quickly turned into boots, wings unfurling in the back. A quick blast of gravity and Leana was practically flying. The female landed after a minute, not wanting wanting to waste her energy on flight if she planned on fighting grimm. Another sound of a bird was heard and she looked up, shocked to see a girl getting taken away by a bird. I should probably go help her... The bird seemed to be headed to the temple. Leana began heading to the temple, planning on helping anyone along the way. Opportunity quickly appeared as a grimm was thrown into Leana's direction. She quickly ducked and looked over to the direction it came from. Seeing a pack of beowolf and a girl, she rushed over and attacked a beowolf. Her boots collided together into the side of the beowolf, pushing it back and into the tree. Leana hopped off and smiled warmly at the girl. "Hope you don't mind me helping!"

tab Ah, yes. The sounds of animals screeching were a wonderful sound to wake up to. Not. Roy groaned as he buried his face into his pillow. He hated waking up early. He also hated waking up to the sounds of animals screeching. Couldn't they at least make it a trumpet? Or a bell? Something other than a constipated animal. The school should really consider their wake up calls. Of course, their goal was to wake everyone up and it certainly did. The redhead laid there, face buried in his pillow as he listened to the sounds of people scrambling and get ready. He didn't need to rush since everyone was getting ready at the same time. Why wait in line when you can wait in bed?

tab When the majority was ready, Roy sat up. He gave a quick yawn and a stretch, letting his orange hair fall into place. The male did his best to get dressed quickly. His outfit consisted of his teal shirt with matching teal hoop earrings, somewhat tight white pants, boots that went up to his mid-thighs, a black jacket with red edges and buttons as well as gold chains, and of course he had to have on his red scarf and bandanna. Couldn't have his hair flying everywhere and a cold neck now could he? Well, he could but knowing the academy...he'd definitely need his bandanna for his flight. He adjusted his eye patch to a more comfortable position and stared at his reflection. Everything was in place with the exception of his crossbow. Roy was actually quite fond of his crossbow since he had made it with Eden. It was pretty obvious since Eden's idea of a nice crossbow was all black and slick, but Roy wanted a touch of gold and that's exactly what he got. The red head grinned and slipped his weapon into the holster by his right thigh. Next to the holster were his small arrows. Of course, it's not like he needed them thanks to his semblance. They were nice to have in case he got tired, or was just too lazy to use his semblance.

tab As he walked towards the cliff, he scanned the people around him. He must've been surprisingly late or early if he couldn't catch a glimpse of his friends. He merely shrugged it off and did his best to focus on their wonderful Principal Temighan. He listened to her instructions about the getting to the temple and protecting the first years and blah blah blah. He heard the instructions before, so he wasn't all that surprised nor was he looking forward to it. He preferred not to fight grimm but he didn't mind it all that much. Grimms are monsters created out of negativity and Roy wanted to get rid of that negativity. So although he hated fighting, grimm were a different story.

tab The red head watched as the first years began stepping on a platform. A countdown began and one by one they were all launched into the air. Roy remembered his first time getting launched off the damn platform. Being in the air was fun and all, and it was really helpful when he had blasts of light to keep him going, but he had totally forgotten about the landing strategy and simply fell through the trees. It wasn't fun. At all. Zero out of ten, do not recommend Roy thought, remembering the painful crash. What seemed more painful, and even more terrifying, was the fact that a first year had just gotten caught by a Nevermore. It was little Aemilia to be exact, the first year he had met during the lunch ceremony...I'm sure her brother will be very happy to see his sister get taken by a bird.

tab The last of the first years were launched into the air. Roy caught sight of a few of their faces and reached to the conclusion that they were rather interesting first years. Roy watched as second years stepped up to the plates and get launched off. He only paid attention when it came to second years that he knew, like Akane and Lin. Soon after, third years were up. Roy stepped onto the platform, adrenaline pumping through his veins as he waited to be launched. Getting launched was always going to be terrifying yet exciting. Thankfully his excitement seemed to numb the terrified part of it.

tab In a flash, Roy found himself flying through air, grinning ear to ear. "Woohoo!" He yelled, laughing. What goes up, must came down. The same rule applied to Roy as gravity began pulling him back down. He looked down and saw a few grimms below him. Despite not seeing and first years, Roy ended up dropping in. Literally. With his crossbow in hand, the red head landed on one of the ursa's neck and formed a light arrow in the crossbow. There was a click and the arrow pierced through the middle of it's neck. The grimm seemed to roar in pain before collapsing onto the ground. Roy made eye contact with the rest of the pack and smiled. "Well I suppose I can't leave the rest of you out"

Getting the mashed potatoes and everything else out of her hair had certainly been a production. Rosalin stood under the shower head for a good amount of time, letting the hot water run over for a few minutes before she actually began washing it all out. While the waste of food certainly irked it her, she couldn't deny the fact that for the first time in a while she had a lot of fun. It was only there, alone in the shower stall did she smile sincerely and burst out laughing as she applied shampoo to her golden-blonde hair. It had been a good day as any. How fun it was to be back at school. By the time she was clean and all dressed for bed, she made a beeline for her things and fell asleep in a matter of seconds with a tiny smile still spread across her lips.

The following morning, Lin allowed herself a couple extra minutes of sleep as everyone began to prepare themselves with as much elegance as a chicken running around with its head cut off. Leisurely, she dressed herself in her favorite pair of black shorts and her white tank top, yawning as she slipped on her light-turquoise coat. She didn't pay any mind to the couple of boys who walked by as she slipped on her thigh highs. Was there something exciting about putting socks on that she just wasn't getting? Slipping into her boots, Rosalin made a move to follow the other second years out and onto the cliff.

While the sound of screeching may have brought discomfort and annoyance to the others, the blonde seemed utterly unaffected by the loud noise. Where it came from didn't interest her, what did though was the thought that it was something she would surely be allowed to kill. Grimm were fair game, not people, Grimm. To think that when she arrived to the Academy in her first year that that notion alone perplexed her. Look how far she had come, helping to make sure that the first years were marginally safe. Her eyes slowly looked at the platforms arranged on the cliff, smiling lightly as she remembered that sensation of being launched off the cliff. The rush of the air zipping past her....was that the first time she really smiled at school? That was besides the point, this time around, she promised herself that she'd relish her time in the air as much as possible.

With the first years launched into the air for the first time, it was time for the second years to step up to the plate. Lin tried to keep her composure as she stepped onto her platform, but it was plain to see that the girl was excited. Adjusting the sword at her hip to make sure she wouldn't lose it in the launch, she positioned herself. Once ready, she waited and when the clock reached zero, she smiled happily as she was launched high into the air. Immediately she called upon her semblance, whistling as she reduced her air resistance to go at a faster velocity. The feeling of the cold air against her face, soaring through the sky with the help of the wind, she couldn't help be laugh in delight as she dived towards the trees, only to whistle herself up to a higher altitude. Should she have focused on getting back to the ground? Yes....but where was the fun in that?

It was only after another dive did she notice the large bird with the student clenched between it's large talons. Lin's eyes widened in surprise when she realized that those screams were coming from no other than Aemilia. She was the only one still in the air that she could see, that meant she would have to try.

"Aemilia!" Lin shouted as she glided down, trying to keep pace with the bird. "Hold on!" Talking impaired her use of her semblance though and she was already drastically losing altitude. If she didn't try anything soon, she'd lose sight of the younger girl when she fell beneath the foliage of the trees. To think that three words was all it took for her to fall so low. Sucking in a deep breath, Lin whistled loudly as she called forth a vertical draft, sending her up high enough to where her sword could actually do something. Before she could even get her hand around the hilt, the whistling had caught the creature's attention. "F-" With one strike, Lin went careening out of the sky and down into the trees just as she noticed Aemilia's brother jumping past her.

Probably not one of her better ideas.

After a second or so passed, Lin was finally able get back in control of her fall, and with a softer whistle, she succeeded in slowing down her descent till she skillfully landed on a tree branch a good six feet off the ground. A defeated sigh escaped her lips as she sat down and moved at getting all the small twigs and leaves out of her hair and off her clothes before getting down. Taking self-inventory, she noticed a couple of scrapes and the small cut on her forehead when she had been untangling her hair from a rather stubborn leaf. It didn't hurt, was probably incredibly shallow and was probably done in a twig on her way down. In conclusion, nothing to worry about in her book. "Hm?" The sight of an approaching Ursa brought back a smile on Lin's face, her kodachi unsheathed in an instant. "Looking for some fun?!" she laughed before hopping out of the tree just as the Ursa let out a roar and came charging after her. Her smile widened as she fell into her fighting stance, just as Shepard taught her. He loved her claws and loved them even more with how far they extended with a simple gust of wind. The slash of her sword sent a powerful gust of wind that sliced through a few of the nearby trees before hitting the Ursa, slicing it cleanly in half.

                                                            "Tch....couldn't have done it faster."

It was then she heard it. The heavy breathing followed by a roar. "Oops..." she laughed as she tilted her head up slightly and took in the sight of the other Ursas, far larger than she just dispatched. "Challenge accepted," she said softly before hurriedly making a beeline for the opposite direction with the Ursas hot on her trail. When she had been falling she noticed the small clearing up ahead, if she could just get there, she'd be golden. Whistling as she went, Lin used her semblance to get as many trees into the way of the charging grim until she was able to get into the area she had spotted earlier, only to blink in surprise at the sight of one familiar individual, Roy. "Eh? Oh well, heads up....Ursas are incoming.....right....Now!"

tab Luna opened her eyes to the sound of a horrid screech echoing in her ears. Sitting up, she looked around as the other students groaned tiredly. What a wonderful way to start the day. Sighing, she stood up and began making her way to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, then turned on the faucet. When her fingers touched the water, she lifted it up, a stream floating up to her face. As the water gathered in front of her face, she used her other hand to gather some soap. She then mixed the soap with the floating water. Turning off the water, she then used the floating water to create a mask on her face. As she placed it on her face, she concentrated on the water. The water began to glow, her face slowly being cleaned. What she was doing was known as the best way to clean yourself, whether it is your face or any other part of your body. Many people would pay water sprites to do this kind of thing, although to Luna it wasn’t anything special.

Her skills weren’t unique; they weren’t anything that any other water sprite could do. When people gawked or said that she was amazing, like some of the girls in the bathroom were doing right now, it only came off as ignorant to her. Ignorance is bliss. It was like they were belittling her, even though she knew very well that these girls did not have that intent. She blamed her sister for this, but there was nothing she could do now, which was why she didn’t want to be reminded of such things. Her sister was to blame for a lot of things that was wrong with her, but she couldn’t change it. Not with her sister being a constant reminder that she would never be good enough. As she finished up the cleaning, the water dimmed slowly as the glow went away. Her hand touching the mask, she held it in her hand as she held it over the sink. Within a second the mask collapsed, the water falling out of her hands and down the sink. Without a look towards the other girls, she exited the bathroom. How irritating.

She changed her clothes, putting on her battle outfit. People may or may not have been in the room, and people may or may not have seen her changed; it didn’t matter to her. Luna couldn’t care less about boundaries when it came to her body; the only thing she cared about at the moment was making sure that she did her job for the day. Picking up a clear wrap, she wrapped it around her waist. She then filled up the wrap with water, it glowing bright white, making the wrap look like a white belt. This water was her weapon; she spent years developing it especially for her skills. The year before, she received many suggestions to improve it as well as her skills, and she took it into deep consideration. But she never really did anything with it; she was always so stubborn onto being like her sister. Pushing those thoughts out of her head, she tied her hair back into two low twin-tails. After putting on her thigh high boots, she left the ballroom.

When she arrived at the cliff, she listened to Principal Temighan give her and the other upperclassmen instructions. The directions were simple enough; prevent the younger students from getting killed by either the grimm or themselves. It wouldn’t be too hard for her, but she couldn’t say the same for her classmates. Especially Bartholomew Coello. Within moments after Principal Temighan finished giving her instructions, a student was captured by a bird grimm. Rank D. Stepping onto one of the platforms, a moment later she was flying through the air. She soon landed on the ground safely, although she could tell that she would not be safe for long. A group of ursa caught sight of her, and were coming closer. Let’s get this done. She readied herself for battle, one hand ready to arm her weapon, the other ready to use it. This group wouldn’t be a problem, not for long anyway. As soon as she was done she could simply go on her way.

tab Belle woke up especially early the morning of the first day of school. She had missed the lunch the previous day, but she would make sure to make the most out of the first day. While she was back with her uncle, she missed the academy greatly. It felt nice to train with her uncle once again, but it wasn’t the same once you had battled with her other classmates, and the grimm that were available in the forest. Being the person she was, she did try to sneak out of the boundaries of her home to fight grimm, but her clever uncle had set up alarm systems to prevent her from doing so. All she could do was train with her uncle and the huntress who visited every once in a while. Belle counted down the days until her return to academy. She swore that she was away from the academy much too long. It was nice to spend more time with my uncle though. I’ll have to write him lots of letters this year as well! Now she was back the academy, ready to get back to training.

She was in the midst of getting ready when she heard the loud screech of what sounded a bit like a bird. But she knew that it wasn’t just a bird, it was grimm, she recognized that sound from anywhere. Normally people wouldn’t be able to recognize the noise, but with Belle’s inability to see, her ears memorized the frequency, sound, and velocity of sounds. Her blindness was helpful to her in battle, especially since she honed her senses since the time of the accident. It was odd, but she didn’t see the point in being upset over what was already done and could never be changed. Besides, thanks to accident my battle skills have improved. Her blindness wasn’t especially noticeable; her eyes were usually open, it was just that her eyes seemed duller than normal eyes would. People could barely notice the difference at times. Not that it mattered whether or not people noticed, eventually she would tell them. She wouldn’t keep secrets from her classmates. Well, at least not a lot of them.

Putting on her gloves, she wiggled her fingers, the wires loosening up a bit. Walking out of the bathroom, she smiled and said her ‘good morning’s at the people passing by her. It would only be time before she got to know these new people. With the recent events of the summer, most of her former classmates transferred out of the academy, much to her disappointment. She was looking forward to graduating with the people she got to know well for the past two years. But she supposed that she would have to make it up by getting to know her new classmates extra well. Oh! And the younger years too! Belle was the social type; she liked to talk and interact with people, no matter who they were. In the years before, she had made it a point to interact with the other people in the academy, even the wonderful teachers. Of course she might not have met all of them, but she had most, and that was all that mattered! It would matter this year as well, with all of the new students flooding in.

With a final adjustment to her gloves, she began making her way to the cliff. Much to her surprise, she wasn’t the first one there like she normally was. She greeted Principal Temighan cheerfully, greeting the other students that were there as well. Intertwining her fingers behind her back, she patiently waited for the rest of the students to join so they could get started. Feeling a slight breeze, she knew that it was sure a good day for flying. Whether it be a bird, grimm, or one of the students. She would have no difficulty maneuvering in the sky with her wires. All that was left was to be thrown in the air. Soon enough the rest of the students came, Principal Temighan talking to the first years about their objective. Then she came over to the older years, giving the same instructions as she did the last year, Belle still listening to every word with enthusiasm. She might have been a little too excited to be thrown in the sky.

Hearing the first years step onto the platforms, she couldn’t call out in a cheerful voice, “You guys can do it!”. She counted down the seconds in her head, soon enough reaching zero and hearing the first years get launched. Soon enough she heard a dreadful scream, followed by a small increase in the pressure of the breeze. Oh my, one of the first years was caught! Belle didn’t panic though, as she knew that someone was bound to help the girl, if not the girl herself. There was always the slim chance that the student was caught was a rank D, but what were the chances of her actually getting hurt? Worst situation would probably be she would be fed to the grimm’s babies, but Belle knew that the situation would definitely not come to that. After hearing the second years get launched, Belle stepped onto one of the platforms, soon hearing the countdown commence. She counted with it under her breath, assuming the best position to be launched in.

Soon enough Belle was flying high the air, practically leaping off of the platform as it launched her. Giggles and cheers poured from her mouth as she extended her arms like a bird. When she felt herself start to descend, she flicked her hand, extending her wires to attach to a few trees. Bending her fingers, she picked up speed, soaring a little faster towards the ground. Before she got close though, she heard the faint sound of a pack of grimm heading towards something, probably one of the students. Retracting her wires, she flicked her hand once again, repositioning them so that she would follow the pack to where they were headed. She soon heard one of the grimm being taken down, the rest of them being riled up. Bending her fingers, she focused in on her location, reaching there faster than the speed of light. She could feel the presence of the pack of grimm, along with two other people. Don’t mind if I just pop in.

Wasting no time, she attached her wires to surround and trap the pack within them. One of them made an advance towards her, it’s feet stomping on the ground and snarling ever so menacingly. She was there one moment, then up in the air the next, twirling as her wires were adjusted. The grimm couldn’t see her wires, no one usually could. In order to see her wires, the right amount of light had to be placed on them. If not that, some sort of substance had to be poured on it in order for it to show shape. Wrapping her wires around the grimm that attacked her, she flicked her left ring finger, slicing the head right off of it’s body. She did the same with the rest of the pack, moving her fingers in what seemed like a rhythm. Once they were dealt with, she twisted her wrist in order to retract her wires. Then she reattached them, creating a sort of invisible crossing for her. She slowly landed, looking like she was floating in midair. “Hope you guys don’t mind me popping in.” she said, giving the two she was with a sweet smile, then she turned her head, "Another pack is coming, a bigger one.".

                                                      tab OOC_ first fighting/action scene I've written in awhile. I hope I didn't write it terribly or make Roy too OP ;A;

tab Who would've ever thought that a red head with an eye patch would be slaying a bunch of beowolf? Certainly not Roy. "Why couldn't I have just helped out a first year?" He thought out loud as he struck another beowolf with an arrow. A few seconds and bam! A burst of light sunk into the collapsing grimm. Roy's fighting style relied heavily on his semblance rather than his weapon. In any case, the crossbow and arrows only made it easier for long range attacks. The redhead didn't have to use as much energy either. Now if you asked him, he thought it was incredibly convenient.

tab A beowolf lunged at the male who quickly dodged. He managed to grab a handful of the grimm's fur, hurling it towards another approaching grim. They all seemed to pounce at once causing Roy to act quickly. A ring of light around his body released ruptures of light as if it was a stone skipping on calm water. The wave of light pushed back the beowolf to give Roy enough time to close in on a beowolf. As the cold metal of the crossbow met the corse hairs of the grim another bang could be heard. The arrow pierced easily into the neck. His emerald eye moved over to the next grimm on his left. He shifted his left foot, making it easier for him to bring his right leg around and above the grim. His achilles tendon slammed into the nape of the neck and the beowolf was forced towards the ground. A crooked smile tugged on the corner of his lips in accomplishment. "That takes care of two more~"

tab His left eye bolted towards an incoming sound. He prayed that he hadn't attracted another pack of beowolf. He still hadn't finished dealing with his current pack. He did not, however, expect to see one of his favorite people. "Lin!" He said, "I wasn't expecting to see yo--" Roy was quickly cut off when a beowolf leaped onto his back, as if demanding attention. The redhead quickly smashed the grimm into a nearby tree, causing it to let go of his back. He focused his attention on the rest of the pack, deciding to deal with them before chatting away with Lin. Although his eye traveled back to his friend when she informed him of upcoming pack of ursa. "We might as well be throwing a party. Maybe next time I'll bring some snacks for everyone to enjoy." He joked with a grin. When he actually thought about it, he was getting hungry. But hey, a guy works up an appetite after fighting. Of course maybe that was just Roy.

tab The pack suddenly grouped together as if they were trapped. Roy blinked once, then blinked twice. A grimm stomped its feet and snarled, but not at Roy. No, it was directed towards someone else, and it wasn't Lin either. The head was sliced clean off, and the male could tell exactly who had joined the area. His grin seemed to grow wider if that was even possible. "Lucky! You're finally here!" Roy cheered as she finished off the rest of the pack. He was glad that he was able to see his other favorite person. He was also glad that she finished off the rest of the beowolf.

tab Roy dejected slightly at the news of another pack of grimm. He hoped that it was just the pack of Ursa that Lin mentioned. He didn't want a pack of ursa and beowolf. Then again, there were three of them. Roy snapped his fingers, quickly remembering something. "Lin this is Belle. Belle this is Lin." They were about to fight together so they should at least know each others names, right? Yeah. Definitely. Roy turned to the pack of Ursai that were on their way. Crossbow in hand, he readied to fire multiple arrows coated in light. His crossbow was held up, his left eye making sure the arrows were aligned. He waited for the right moment. His accuracy needed to be as right as his timing. He pulled the trigger. A trail of light followed the arrows the moment they left his crossbow and pierced through the skin of a few Ursai. Spikes of light grew from the arrows, impaling the Ursai. They collapsed moments after. The rest of the Ursai continued to approach. "A few down and a bunch more to go."

Sleep always came easily enough to Nox Umber, never once being bothered by being in a new location or sleeping somewhere unfamiliar. So while he got to listen to his future classmates complaining about how much they missed being home, or how they had difficulty sleeping on the floor instead of a bed, he merely tuned them out. Such difficult people wouldn't be decent teammates as far as he was concerned. As the morning came, the hooded young man was one of the first to rise and benefit the use of the showers without having to listen to more of the useless dribble that came from the mouths of those around him. It was probably that cold and aloof personality that had kept anyone from approaching him the night before, or maybe they just thought he was creepy; the face mask didn't help after all. Regardless, as others were making friends and chatting up old ones, people most definitely did not included Mr. Nox Umber, and he preferred it that way.

The time for their assignment of the day soon came and once all the others were ready, they made their way over towards the cliffs. There, platforms had been prepared for them to be launched off into the forest, something that made Nox smile under his mask. So that was how it was going to be, interesting. The first years were to be first with the second and third years providing as back up and support, surely to protect the newbies so they wouldn't die horrifically when they encountered a grim, or something to that measure. Luckily for them, Nox was incredibly independent and wouldn't be needing someone else's assistance like some of the people in his class. The school also expected that as well, judging by the rank he had been given, S. Demon hunting with the monks at the monastery had prepared him for this ages ago. Grim, had in fact been the means of his training. While some of them had feared him as a child and probably would have preferred that he faced demons without any training in hopes of culling the world of yet another one, his master had not allowed it. Until he had been capable of slaughtering a large pack of grims on his own without assistance, he had not been allowed to participate. Seeing how he could go against demons for a good while, it was safe to say that the task in front of him was literally a cake walk.

Readying himself, Nox's smile widened as the count down started and soon he was propelled high into the air, savoring the feel of the cool air as it caressed his cheeks. Landing wasn't going to be a problem for him, there were shadows literally everywhere for him to dive through. Allowing himself to fly off as much as possible he began to descend in the direction of the shadow of one of his classmates, though just in time to hear the shriek of another. Quickly looking up, he spotted a petite girl snatched up by a grim. Well that certainly was interesting.

"...you don't see that everyday," Nox mused as he dove into the cool dark shadow of young man above him. The plane between reality and that of the shadows could only be described as an ocean for the demon. Though he could breathe as easily in the shadows as he could in reality, it still felt as though he was surrounded by water, dark black water while all the portals back outside, all the shadows near and far appearing as the sun reflecting on the shimmering surface of water. Despite what others might assume the plane of shadows to be, such as being dark and foreboding, they were all wrong. Nox would probably even go so far as to say that light, even th most minute and insignificant light came off incredibly bright, leaving only pockets of darkness scattered here and there. He suspected though, if someone did try to dive into the shadows like he did, they probably would get themselves stuck or would resurface somewhere unfortunate. What was needed to resurface in the perfect place was experience and intuition. Using that knowledge, Nox leisurely made his way towards a particular portal. While he could have used much more urgency to try and save that girl, it was unnecessary. Time flowed differently in the shadow plane.

Emerging his head out of the shadow, Nox immediately began to familiarize himself with the surroundings. This shadow was moving at high velocity and it's owner was still high up in the air on the way to the temple where the careless girl had been carried off to. Dark-red eyes briefly looked up to see in whose shadow he was riding in and nodded before sinking back into it. The girl hadn't been present with the other first years, more likely than not she was either a second or a third year. His keen eyes watched everything as he analyzed the girl's movements and fighting style. Satisfied after watching her assist one of his classmates, Nox thought it was finally time to get out of the shadows. Not wanting to come off as too much of a creeper, the demon instead chose the shadow of the dead grim to climb out of. Looking at the two of them, he unholstered his beloved revolver, Exorcist, and pulled the trigger, stopping an approaching beowolf from reaching the little group he had unknowingly become a part of.

"...that girl that god kidnapped by the bird...I think I have an idea of how to save her if one of you has a semblance similar to flying."

Playing it cool and clueless seemed like a better idea than coming across like a presumptuous p***k.

It had never crossed Kira's mind that the first thing she'd face was an entire pack of Baewolf but then again that just made the whole thing thrilling. No one would think at first glance that this small girl was capable of taking on such a huge pack, but Kira was the living embodiment of the phrase 'don't judge a book by it's cover' and she admitted that she liked it that way. With every punch and kick she sent them flying, and more and more just seemed to appear, it's not like Kira didn't mind it and on every other day she would be ecstatic but she was more focused on saving her friend Amelia from the Grimm that had carried her off, but all Kira could do right now was fight the battle in front of her and it frustrated her.

As a group of them decided to attacked at once, Kira waited for the right moment before jumping up, causing them to crash into one another making Kira laugh as she landed on one of their heads and jumped onto the ground. Grabbing another by the leg as it approached Kira then spun it round before launching it full force. It was just as she had released the Grimm that she noticed the girl approaching and slight panic set in as she worried as to whether or not it would hit her or not. Kira was about to call out to the girl when to her relief the girl ducked down avoiding the incoming Baewolf and it smacked into a boulder causing the boulder to crumble in the process. The girl then proceeded to help Kira as she kicked another approaching Baewolf smack bang into a tree.

"Of course not, the more the merrier" Kira gave the girl a smile before returning the favor by punching a Baewolf that was about to attack her, directing it straight into another tree. The two girls began battle against them as another pack of Baewolf started to attack "Ready to go?" Kira asked the girl with a grin as she began to fight back.

After the girl had joined the battle, the number of Grimm began dwindling until only two remained, Kira managed to get one from behind and punched it's back aiming straight down as the earthe below her feet also cracked from the impact. "Alright only one left" Kira was about to charge at it, when the sudden appearance of another stopped her.

From the shadows of the Baewolf she had just slain a boy appeared, and shot the last remaining one down in an instance. The boy that had joined them was very tall especially compared to the two of them and it was obvious by the slick movements he just showed that he was skilled in battle. Kira's ears perked up when he mentioned he had an idea on how to save Amelia "really? you have a plan that's great, ah but unfortunately my semblance is strength, is your semblance linked to flying um sorry I forgot to ask your name" Kira said turning to the other girl.

tab A smile crossed her face as the (assuming) younger girl allowed Leana to join her. She didn't even seem to flinch when the short haired girl punched an oncoming beawolf into a tree. "You sure pack a punch," Lena said, quite amazed by her strength. She figured it must've been her semblance. "Ready to go?" A grin adorned her face as she asked Lena that very question. The blunette returned the grin with her own. Her violet eyes sparkled in the slightest at the thrill of fighting. She was more pumped than ever. "Ready when you are!"

tab She shifted her feet into her fighting stance, arms swaying by her side. The pressure of her feet seemed to dent the ground by a little bit as Leana launched herself to the group of grimm. She hopped from the ground and landed on top of a beowolf. Gravity increased and ground caved under the pressure. The bones of the beowolf were damaged and quickly killed the grimm. All while Lena was in mid air. Her touch activated the gravity long enough to kill the grimm before she back flipped over to the neck one. Her back arched as her hands stretched to land on the back of the next beowolf. Her time in the air seemed a second longer than it should've been. But hey gravity for Lena was practically nonexistent and was a punch in the face for Issac Newton. As soon as her hands met the rough fur of the grimm, gravity increased and crack went the bones. Leana swiftly landed on her feet face to face with another grimm.

tab She smiled sweetly at the snarling beowolf, even petting it. Well, before the caused the gravitational downforce under her palm and the grimm's jaw and skull cracked once it met the ground. Her violet eyes moved over to look at the other girl to make sure she was doing fine, which she was. The two girls seemed to have made a lot of craters on the ground from the large impacts. It wasn't the first time Lena had caved the ground so many times, and she was sure it was the same for the other girl. There were only a few more beowolf they had to take care of. Deciding to make it quick, Leana kicked two grimm up into the air. She decreased their gravity for a second before drastically increasing it. The two beowolf crashed into the ground. Guess a bunch of craters in the ground can't be helped.

tab Leana looked over to the other girl when she spoke. The brunette seemed to be ready to charge at the last beowolf until someone joined them. He appeared out of the shadow of a dead grimm they had killed earlier. He made eye contact with the two females before killing the approaching beowolf. Leana would've been lying if she said his voice itself wasn't attractive when he spoke. But it's not like she had to admit that to anyone. He mentioned a plan to save the girl who had been taken by the Nevermore. The other female explained that her semblance was strength, which was some what obvious by her punches. Leana blinked when the brunette asked her if she could fly. "I can fly, well, technically I can decrease gravity." Leana explained. Her semblance allowed her to decrease her own gravity so that she could fly. She could decrease their gravity but it'd require more work. "If you need a flyer then I'm your girl. What's the plan?" She couldn't believe she forgot to introduce herself and ask for their names. It's the first thing you do when you meet someone yet she forgot to ask! She face palmed herself mentally before introducing herself. "I'm Leana Tsuyo, but you can just call me Lena. And the two of you are...?"
