Many years ago, in the early days of the world, there was darkness. That was all that could be seen, as other forms of life roamed the world. Then, born from this darkness, was man, who was intelligent, resourceful, and strong. But even the strongest man could not stand up against the conditions of this world alone. That was until man, without knowing it, created from their essence and the essence of the earth something that would even the odds; Dust. With this, man lit a path for themselves through the darkness. From then on man and any other forms of life coexisted with each other, having nothing but peace between the two. But even so, man still did not know what they had created, and what danger it held.

For soon enough, dust fused with living creatures, and caused a terrible affect on them. They mutated, became not only stronger, but faster, bigger, and more keen to their surroundings. Growing claws, bone-like armor, sharp teeth, and to astonishing sizes, these beasts were unruly and seemingly unstoppable. But their most prominent feature that all of them had were their glowing red eyes. They invaded civilizations, slaughtering life, destroying buildings, and striking fear in the hearts of many. These creatures were dangerous, and would only become stronger the longer they lived. The only way for them to die was to kill them, discovered thanks to the efforts of many individuals, but it took nearly hundreds of people to defeat a beast. Soon enough man lived in fear as these soulless beings brought back the darkness little by little.

Then, years later, there was a group of four. They were strong, intelligent, resourceful, and had the will to accomplish anything they wanted. These four, fought against the darkness, and had won countless times. They completely lit the world, and led man to places that were once hidden in the shadows. Now man had taken the world for their own, and the group were now known as The Heroes. The Heroes kept fighting the darkness up until their flame blew out, and they were no longer alive. That was when man learned an important lesson; that darkness can strike back. The beasts began taking back the world, but man could not just sit back an watch chaos conspire anymore; they fought back.

It stayed this way for years upon years, until one day a brilliant man decided to stop fighting, seeing that their sacrifices were in vain, and helped people create safe-havens. These were the 10 Kingdoms, beacons of light in the darkness, everyone within these kingdoms would be safe. Of course though, as some things became better, others became worse; some people befriended the darkness, and turned against their own kind. This was when things began to get difficult, as a full scale war began. The darkness and light fought against each other for years. People faced hardships, lives were lost and people were hurt. The darkness had itʻs wins, two of the 10 Kingdoms destroyed, as man's light dimmed.

Now we are to the present, as life goes on in the kingdoms. They are safe, but things cannot always stay this way, as darkness spreads. Within light there will be darkness, but darkness can swallow up light.

Our story takes place in the Academy of Vou, an institution created to train young minds to be leaders, and become those who protect the people. This academy was inspired by The Heroes, taking everything that they learned and integrating it into the academy. Vou being a kingdom infamous for their advanced technology, this academy is highly advanced, only accepting those with true potential.

But what people donʻt know is that the tired Prince of Vou, only twenty years old, ran away, leaving behind his royal status. But as he went missing, so did the Princess. The King kept this a secret, as if the news got out, he feared speculation of incestuous love would occur. Little did he know that these two siblings entered Academy of Vou, to become people who could stand up, and set Vou free from their fatherʻs hands. The only problem is; there is more than just their father that they need to worry about.

Now the Academies' newest students have been selected, people who are leaders thatʻll guide and protect the people. These students, although they don't know it, are man's hope for a better future. They come from all around the world, and are now in the process of being trained to achieve greatness. These students are the future heroes, they will create light.

»Chapter I, First Meetings & Unhappy Reunions
The day before school, students were either waking up at the academy, or arriving at the academy. Students wandered around, socialized, and a few students even trained with one another. Then the announcement about the annual lunch was made, leading students to go to the academy garden. There, everything was less than peaceful and perfect. A student was punched in the face for hitting on a girl, a scene was made when two friends reunited, and a food fight broke out among the students. But things quickly settled down as Principal Temighan made her entrance, introducing herself to the students and giving them a warm welcome to the academy. She also gave the announcement that the first day of school would be where students would make their partners. Then as she made her leave, the undercover royal children couldn't help but wonder what was in store for them the next day.

Nora is a happy-go-lucky, bubbly, and cheerful young girl. She displays boundless enthusiasm and never fails to let it show. As a result of this excitement, she has a tendency to talk in circles. Her excitable nature makes her rather hyperactive and hasty. She also has a rather peculiar imagination on top of that, often telling stories Even in combat, Nora retains her joyful personality, but she does stay focused when actually fighting. Despite her generally cute personality though, Nora does have a love of battle. She may be a little extreme when it comes to dealing with issues, as her solution to most issues is to break a person’s legs. But never the less, she does know her limits. Her free-spirited attitude is occasionally a nuisance to others at times, although she cannot help it. Nora also is very lazy when comes to her studies, even dozing of in the library when it’s study time. In spite of her boundless excitement and enthusiasm, Nora is more insightful than one would think, and is capable of being serious. Her expressions often reflects her feelings for a person or thing, being like an open book to people who know her well.

Nora noisily wakes up Ren, and chatters incessantly to him about her excitement of being in Beacon Academy while he brushes his teeth and puts away his sleeping bag, and while they are eating breakfast.

She starts to mention team formation while they are in the locker room, and how they could communicate in the forest using sloth noises to find each other to be on the same team. However, Ren tells her that sloths don't make a lot of noise.As he walks off, Nora follows, still chattering, which draws Ruby Rose's attention for a second. As the two are lined up on the launch pads, Nora smiles and tells Ren "I told you!" when Professor Ozpin tells the students that they are to team up with the first person they make eye contact with upon landing. She is last seen readying herself to be launched into the air. Shortly after Ren defeats a King Taijitu, Nora makes a "sloth call" before she drops down, hanging upside down from the tree in front of Ren. Ren comments that he is sure sloths don't make that sound, but Nora just presses her forefinger to his nose while saying "boop".

As Glynda Goodwitch informs Professor Ozpin that the last team has been formed, she pulls up a recording of Nora and Ren's reunion. Glynda comments that she can't see them working well together, but thinks that they will do better than Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos.Nora eventually arrives at the abandoned temple riding on the back of an Ursa. She then hits it with Magnhild'sgrenade launcher, killing it in the process (much to her displeasure). When Ren appears from behind the Ursa and tells her to never do it again, he notices she is gone and has gone over to collect a White Rook relic, placing it on her head as she begins dancing and proclaiming that she is the "Queen of the Castle" before being stopped by Ren.

Later after more initiates arrive, Nora and the others flee to an ancient ruin in the hopes of escaping theNevermore and the Death Stalker that are closing in on them. Nora distracts the Nevermore by firing several explosives at it, but is then saved by Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Ren when the Death Stalker appears behind her.

She and Jaune are then separated from Ren, Pyrrha, and Blake, however, when the Nevermore knocks out the bridge. When Jaune says they need to get over to help, Nora transforms her weapon into its giant hammer form and launches Jaune across before launching herself over as well, hitting the Death Stalker in the head, but accidentally knocking Blake off the edge.
Nora continues to fight the Death Stalker, hitting it with a few explosive attacks before Jaune takes charge. He orders Pyrrha to cut off the scorpion's stinger that Ren had loosened and when it landed on the Death Stalker's head, Pyrrha launched Nora into the air and she drove the stinger into the Grimm like a nail, presumably killing it. After completing the initiation, Nora is then inducted into Team JNPR, alongside Jaune, Pyrrha, and Ren as they all picked a White Rook piece.
