I will kill. I will let live. I will harm and heal. None will escape me. None will escape my sight.
Be crushed.
I welcome those who have grown old and those who have lost.
Devote yourself to me, learn from me, and obey me.
Rest. Do not forget song, do not forget prayer, and do not forget me.
I am light and relieve you of all your burdens.
Do not pretend. Retribution for forgiveness, betrayal for trust, despair for hope, darkness for light, dark death for the living.
Relief is in my hands. I will add oil to your sins and leave a mark.
Eternal life is given through death.
Ask for forgiveness here. I, the incarnation, will swear.
Kyrie Eleison (Lord, have mercy)
"Then leave." Dionisio responded to Jouichirou, sitting on a chair with his bible in hand with absolutely zero signs of how, or more importantly when he'd arrived, simply turning a page without any hint of care like the lack of emotion from his entire being and the monotone in his voice. "It's an order we received, and respect, but the reason we do that is precisely because of the reasons you described. Helios and Maestro are our comrades. Our friends. If anyone is capable of retrieving the other then in the case of those two obliviously love sick idiots they would be the best choice. As illogical as the order is, as the situation is, in cases like this sometimes it is best to simple believe, and trust, in those comrades. Helios will return, with our Leader in tow, of that I have no doubt. It's not just about 'making him happy' perhaps the Kangaroo used the wrong words to phrase it. It's entirely about belief." Turning a page in his book, the young man reached up with a hand to adjust the glasses resting upon his face, extending a finger to push them further up the bridge of his nose, casting a glare over the lenses and concealing his eyes from view.
"In all honesty I would much prefer to ignore those orders-" Because he figured it would be easier to get after Yukina and kill her since his current plan of mapping out the forest and setting up surveillance wasn't getting him anywhere anytime soon. There was a crunch time on this, if Helios got to her first things would get complicated, if Helios got there and then found a corpse which looked like it had been mauled by a Chimera, it would be simple. Whatever was best to keep suspicion off him and maintain his cover but nothing was ever as easy as it should be. If it was he probably wouldn't be here in the first place. "but I trust that Helios will come through, and in the meantime someone, like you said, needs to be here and do what we're supposed to do. Protect the school, watch the students. Better than one person goes after another than the entire team and limiting our manpower further, plus someone needs to train and induct you lot and how could we do that if we all went in, or the majority of us did? Too inefficient. This is better." He turned another page, hidden eyes moving down the words written in his bible but barely taking them in, he'd read it more than enough times to simply read the thing from his memory alone, but appearances, appearances. He was a member of the Church and should, at the very least, act like it. Just like he was a member of the Guardians, and should, at the very least, act like it.
Finally looking up from his book, Dio stared at Jouichiro for ten full seconds, shifted his gaze towards the exit and stared at that for the exact same amount of time, then turned his gaze back to the Guardian-In-Training. "If you cannot agree do as your conscience dictates. Humans are creatures that lie to themselves far too much, best to live true while you still can. If you act upon what you feel is morally right and believe to be the correct decision, why would I stop you?" Because that would be far less interesting to watch for one. Gaze shifting back to the pages of his book, Dionisio continued reading, turning silent like a statue or perhaps trying his best to simply become an addition of human shaped furniture to the gym. Pausing for a second, he blinked, then looked back up, scanned the room and the other applicants, marked his place in his bible, then shut it. He'd forgotten the first thing one should do, the one thing that helped to separate man from beasts. Common courtesy and civilization, how could he have neglected to do something so simple and arrive so abruptly? Rude is what it was, and he much preferred to do as little rudeness as possible.
"I am Dionisio Ruere Nasario. A Guardian. It is a pleasure to meet you both." Properly giving his name to both Jouichiro and Aphrodite. White Justice it seemed, got no such reception. Possibly due to the fact it wasn't human, coming from a human's ability or no.
Introductions! One must always take the time to introduce themselves when possible as it was just good manners, and those were in frighteningly short supply now a days. Sure, he might have to kill people that may, or may not be considered innocent, commit other horrendous acts that normally wound up being hilarious to Xi, but he'd be cursed thrice over if he neglected his manners. Dio may have to kill people but he didn't have to be rude about it, life was enough of a horror in some cases, why make dying the same? "....Is that a ******** rhetorical question? BECAUSE IT'S -FUNNY-! God Fourth. I try, and I try, and I try, yet still you go and ask stupid crap like that. By the way this has to be the most I've ever heard you speak since like.. Like.. Ever really. The ********] That last part was true, he'd spoken a great deal and now wondered why he even bothered speaking in the first place? Justification wasn't his thing, neither was talking if he didn't have to, and in this case, he most certainly didn't have too. Perhaps it would've been better if he'd kept his mouth shut, perhaps not, but what was done was done and he couldn't undo it anymore than he could undo slaughtering his family and bathing his hands in their blood.
His hands had been in worse things by then.
Pausing once again, he looked up and turned his gaze to Dion, nodding towards the other student with his face as blank as stone. "I am Dionisio Ruere Nasario. A Guardian. It is a pleasure to meet you. You are quite on time, the Orientation should begin soon enough." With that he returned to his book again, trotting out the same phrase with the same expression. or lack thereof. and the same tone. Inwardly he resolved to return to speaking as little as possible while contemplating over whatever made him speak like that in the first place. Trust? Friends? That was extremely odd for him to mention. Well he could always have moments of self contemplation later, preferably when there weren't other people around, a knife or gun was in his hand, and there was something nonhuman to slaughter with impunity. Those were the times.. "Y'could kill everyone here. That's an option." "No. It isn't. Remember? ..Of course you don't. Any orders that involve something other than wanton violence you never care about. Remind me why I keep you around?" "....Because you're lost without me. COME ON! We've gone over this before!"
"Since when?"
"Well we just did Mr. Correct The Artificial Intelligence! p***k."
..It figures.
