Conformity is where it's at, not matter who you are or what you do, society expects you to conform. School is no different.

Cadence Academy is a school of fine arts where the creators of the next generation. An international academy located in the lovely English countryside, Cadence caters to those who wish to bring their talent to a higher level and those who have... ehem.... made it known that they will support the school in it's endeavors. Many students seek entry to see beyond it's outer splendor and join other's in it's halls, but a rare few are actually accepted and even fewer still can afford to attend.

The school itself is comprised of four buildings. Two house the living quarters of the students and the staff. One holds the academic courses and the other the fine arts courses. Students who are not interested in the arts still attend and are accepted, but they are not seen in the same light that the art students are.

A new year is just about to start. Old students are returning, new students are just joining their ranks. There will be all sorts of things that cause problems and the only way to see it is if you decide to attend.

The Riches- These kids have had it made since day one. They were born children of the elite, the crème de la crème of modern society. There are a couple of kids in this group who show real promise and talent in the arts, but most of them were accepted because their parents gave generously to fund the school. They think that they are the best in everything that they do and that it is their right to stand above the common herd.

The Populars- These kids are just well liked across the map. Sure they have some enemies because there will always be people who don’t like those who have friends. Socioeconomically they would be considered the upper middle class as they can all afford to attend the school without help. They generally like there place in life and in the school. They still follow by the Riches will, but only because it would require too much effort to bring about a social change.

The Talents- The talents are the best in their respective fields. They got a perfect score on their entrance exam and will accept nothing but a perfect score. Nerd would be a good term to describe how they interact with the rest of the student body, though they can be a little stuck up at times. The talents haven’t necessarily just been gifted; most earned their way to the top through study and practice. They strive for success.

The Scholarships- Scholarship kids earned their place in the ranks of the school elite. These are the kids with natural born talents who strove to be more than what society said they should be. The school invited each of these kids individually to join their ranks and attend, free of charge. Many still hold on campus, or off campus, jobs to pay for things they might want or need that the school doesn't provide. Due to some complaints from parents, the administration no longer allows the scholarship students to have a fine art as their area of study, though the are still allowed to participate in the courses.

The Teachers- The teachers are usually former students who don't really want to leave the school. Though most have gone off at gotten masters degrees and the like, there are a few that the school hired with only an associates because they were such wonderful students. The teachers are the best of the best in their respective fields, usually talents or scholarship students who have returned to teach and broaden the minds of the newer generation of students. They are usually very good about breaking up fights, but sometimes they get worked up themselves and argue among each other.

Each dorm can hold two people. The dorms are only allowed to be co-ed for relatives or if you have a really girly name and happen to be a guy you might get stuck in a girls room for all of a day before the admins fix their mistakes. The campus itself is built deep in the English highlands away from most forms of civilization, though there is one city right down below the school itself. The school itself has it's own forms of electricity and internet, so they really don't need to rely on the outside world if they don't have too, except for food. They get their food shipments in every week on Monday and Thursday mornings. The school spans about a full square mile not including the surrounding scenery.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Cafeterias▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

They look more like little cafe's and are strategically located around campus. They are small and can't really hold a lot of people, but considering how many there are and how many people there are on the campus they don't really need to hold all that many people inside of them. They serve a variety of foods and the menu changes on a daily basis depending on how the servers feel that day.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Lounges▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

There are two located on each floor of every building, inside of the dorms too. They are built for comfort so that students can hang out with on and other without feeling the pressure of being proper students. In each lounge there's a tv and a number of arm chairs along with tables should they wish to do some studying or play some games. The lounges lock automatically at nine o'clock sharp so that students in the dorms near them can sleep.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Gym▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

The gym contains enough equipment that the entire school can be doing something at once, just not the same thing. Some options in the gym include cardio, weights, yoga. You can also take classes, play racket ball, basket ball, indoor soccer, dodge ball, and swim in the lap pool.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Theater▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

The theater is the oldest building in the school having been the first one to be constructed and finished. It can hold 3000 people in it's seats.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Library▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

The Library is a three story building where students can go a study in their free time. It has little study rooms and alcoves where they can be at peace and hide away from other students. Each floor contains different types of books and has two different levels of books with an open center. It is a circular building with off shoots to the main building of classes, the fine arts building and the dorms.


▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂The Pool▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

It's not like an olympic sized pool and really shouldn't be used as such. It's a leisure pool for the relaxation of the students, much like a water park and less like a pool. There are lawn chairs that surround the pool and lockers and a changing room to leave stuff and change in and out of swim wear should the student chose not to walk across campus half naked. It is actually preferred that they do not wander around in their swim suits.

The classrooms are much like mini lecture halls with enough room for about thirty people, though the classes really aren't that large. As more and more students are admitted the school hires more teachers to teach them to keep the class sizes small.

It is currently pouring rain across the campus. The rain is coming down hard on the students who are moving into the dorms before the start of classes on the following Monday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are welcome days for the newer students and on Saturday their will be a meet and greet in the form of a formal dance in the ballroom. The dorm buildings are recently renovated, but a couple of the rooms were poorly done and have sprung leaks. A couple of the walls have holes in them leading into other rooms and secret crawl spaces.

The Dance club is mostly for those who want to move their body to the beat at a recreational level, or those who are just doing it for the fun of doing it. They do all types of styles and even have performances in the courtyard or in the amphitheater. The club is, for the most part, directed and run by the dance students, but every so often someone with great talent comes in to join the leadership ranks.
