The boy's mouth dropped open in shock.This boy, this Emmy, was his new roommate. Sam shut his mouth in an attempt to be polite, but if he had his way, he would've roomed with someone he knew. He missed the outgoing personalities of his friends, and suddenly an incurable wave of homesickness washed over him. Ares, Cassie, Teagan, he missed them all.

Remembering his manners, the twenty year old held up three fingers as a response. He quickly pocketed his hands afterwards, and rose to his full height. Samson was a tall person, and often towered over others. He looked down at the other boy, seeing that this time was no exception. "W-wanna go 'n... 'n unpack?" The boy offered.

kyoshi jumped back to reality when he heard a female voice addressing him. he thought vaguely that it was another fan, then realized that this girl must not have know him, else she would have addressed him by name or something. he realized vaguely that she was holding a camera and trying to take a picture of the campus.

"huh? oh, my apologies. i didn't realize you were taking a picture."

then his brain registered how she'd finished her sentence. she was obviously complimenting him. but he had no idea how he would improve the photograph moping around like he was.

"uh.. do you want me in the picture? just tell me what to do."

Ian glanced over once more, hearing his roommate's reply. The boy's voice seemed to fit what Ian had imagined it would sound like. He thought he could see a smile, but he wasn't sure what he was looking at from behind the mess of black and pink hair.

"Ian Tailee," replied the platinum blond, flashing one of his own smiles. He glanced up at the ceiling, realizing how different the dorm was from his own bedroom. At least back at home, he didn't have to share a room. Although, being in two bands, he had become used to sharing sleeping space.

The boy's eyes lit up, as he examined the other male. From what he could tell, the boy certainly was easy on the eyes. Hayate giggled at the thought.

Damien tilted his head as he heard the boy speak his name. Ian, that was the name of the boy he was to be sharing this room with. He let out a silent chuckle to himself before standing up. He walked over to the window of their room.Opening it up he felt a cool breeze pass over him. "Hmm..I hope you don't mind.." he said drawing his cigarettes from his pocket. Then his lighter, and he resumed the routine he knew so well. Light it then smoke it, letting out the first puff out the window. He watched as the breeze caught the smoke and took it off somewhere outside.

With another drag he turned and sat in the window. "So Ian, what brings you here?.." he asked leaning his head backward and out the window. His gaze went straight up towards the sky. Some of his hair fell from his face as a breeze passed over his face. The cigarette remained between his seemingly colorless lips. Besides his oddly pale skin everything else about him was dark. His clothes, his eyes, even the pink of his hair seemed to be of a darker color than your average pink.

I feel my world shake

Ian groaned. 'Great, a smoker.' He bit down on his bottom lip, trying to remain as polite as possible. Miki had smoked, and he had tolerated Miki. Although, he was essentially forced to deal with Miki's constant puffing. They were bandmates. This guy was just a roommate. He wasn't forced to deal with it here.

"I'd actually prefer you not smoke near me," he said, still staring up at the ceiling, "Nothing personal. I just don't do so well around the smell." He forced a cough, which seemed completely real, to emphasize his point. Living with a smoker wasn't something he felt like tolerating. He didn't mind what Damien did outside the dorm, but he preferred his own belongings not smell like tobacco.

Damien looked over at Ian, a small sigh escaped his lips. A second passed and the cigarette vanished, he then sat normally in the window. "Sorry..I've been trying to quit for some time now..but no luck.." He pulled out the pack from his pocket. He now had another reason to quit, if he ever wanted to be friends with Ian. He chucked the pack of cigarettes across the room into the trash can. He then grabbed a pack of gum from the nightstand next to his bed. He placed a stick in his mouth and started chewing, "Don't worry..I think I'm done.."

He gazed over at the blond out of the corner of his eye. "Well anyways, Ian..why are you here?" He thought getting to know the boy would get them off to a good start. He gave a small smile, this one not covered by his hair.

A defeated sigh escaped his lips as the last phrase brought back memories of the life he was trying to leave behind, for it held too much heartbreak. The first band had fallen through, and he had fallen out with Kyo. A part of him wondered where the boy was now. He hoped Kyo was happy and doing better than he was in life. His thoughts then drifted to Sam, and the second heartbreak. He recalled when Sam left to go back home, and he bit down on his bottom lip, preferring not to think about either boy. Love was one thing he was not good at. That was for certain for he in his own opinion had screwed up both the previous relationships. The blond decided to change the subject for his own sanity's sake.

"What brings you here?"

Elijah blinked, not really sure what she had needed the phone for. He did happen to overhear the girl's name... and he stored it away for future use. But other than that he didn't recognize any of the conversation. He shrugged to himself, and accepted the phone, saying "Ah, no problem," and flashing her a quick, forced smile. "Well... I'll see you around, then." Elijah turned away, slipping his phone back into his pocket and then into his other pocket to get his key. He wasn't really in the mood to talk to this particular person, as she had caught him just in the process of opening his dorm and getting settled away. But... Elijah wasn't the rude type, so he had a sheepish expression on his face and turned back to her. "I don't mean to completely... not talk to you but I just got here and I need to put my shi-.. err, stuff away first." Elijah inwardly made a face at himself. He never caught himself for using "bad" words, but for some reason this time he had. It was weird.

Elijah half-waved and turned back to his dorm, finally managing to take the key out of his pocket and insert it into the lock, turning it with a flick of his wrist. He then pushed it open and headed into the dorm, not looking back to see whether the girl had gone or not. Elijah's first impression of the dorm wasn't very spectacular. He regarded the room with a dull, rather bored expression. A room was a room to him, and as long as he had a comfy place to sleep, enough room for his belonging and a roommate that would stay the hell away from his stuff, he was good. Hmm... I don't have a roommate yet, it seems. Elijah didn't mind much, it was quieter and more private... easier to write, if he was being honest. But as well, sometimes it was easier to get inspiration from talking to another person... so really the situation was a little win-lose. In any case, all wasn't lost and there was still the posibility of a room mate. Elijah set his laptop bag down on the bed he decided was going to be his, slung his other bag onto the floor and let go of his suitcase. The black-haired male then began to unpack, not bothering to shut the door. Daaamn, I want a smoke, he thought suddenly. I'll have to get one when I'm done in here. That decided, he continued unpacking, hoping to get it done quickly.

Damien turned and sat with one leg out the window. The boy's words made him think about some things, like his own past. "I see.." the words seemed to drift from his mouth and fly off. After a few seconds he wasn't even sure if they had come from him. He shook off the sudden funk as Ian's voice came once again. Why had he come here? He actually had to think about it for a moment. "Lemme think..I'm actually not sure..I mean I've thought about so many different things..but none seem to fit me.."

He then slipped out of the window and then walked over to Ian's bed. He took a seat next to him, then put his arm over the blond's shoulders. "You know what Ian my friend..we shouldn't be sitting around here feeling bad..what I do when I'm feeling down is I just get out and walk around with my friends..and seeing as your the only person I know here so far how about we take a walk around see if we can't find something interesting about this place.." He looked over at Ian out of the corner of his eyes.

Ian thought about Damien's request for a moment. His dark eyes still glued to the ceiling. He wanted to go for a walk, but he didn't at the same time. It was confusing. The campus seemed like an okay place to explore. After all, it was somewhere new. Ian always had a fondness of exploring new places. It was how he had met Kyo. The latter of the thought train made his face fall.

"A walk could be nice I guess," replied the blond, throwing his legs over the bed and standing up. He tugged at his shirt, pulling it down and readjusting it. Digging through his pockets, he pulled out a hir tie and pulled the long blond strands into a ponytail. His bangs still fell in his face, but they weren't too bothersome. He simply didn't want to go outside with his hair a mess. It was a pet peeve of his.

"Where to?" he questioned.

kumori stumbled backwards into a bed when suddenly his roommate fell into him then backwards onto the ground. the sheer acrobatic-ness of it made kumori burst out laughing, collapsing backward onto the bed. he would definitely enjoy sharing a dorm with this insanely hyperactive and bubbly boy.

"yes, i'm your roommate."

he could almost feel hayate's eyes scanning him up and down. he did the same to hayate, looking him over a bit. he was definitely unique, and he had an amazing face and eyes.

Hayate scrambled to his feet, rocking back and forth on his his heels with his hands behind his back. A grin was pasted across his lips.

"It's nice to meet you!" exclaimed the bubbly Japanese boy, "I hope you don't mind some of my decorations."

He motioned towards a part of the room, which contained rather bright colored furniture, including a small throw blanket with none other than Hello Kitty on it. The boy ran towards the bed and scooped up the blanket, hugging it close.

"It's a present from Renji and Kumi!" he giggled.

Damien took a second to think about where they should go before deciding. "Usually..when I go for a walk I have no particular destination.." He walked over to his closet and pulled out his favorite sex pot revenge jacket. He flipped on the fur covered hood and walked over to Ian. "Shall we?.." He slipped his hands in his pockets and turned towards the door.

He flipped a few strands of hair out of his good eye, actually the eye he didn't always have shrouded by hair. Then he proceeded to open the door and head out of their dorm, "You wanna lock it?.." He had always been a little paranoid about someone coming in and stealing his stuff. Then again he was just paranoid in general.
