Elijah had basically finished his bagel, and was finishing off the last little bit as he listened to the older male talk. Doesn't have.. many hobbies..? Well... he's kinda like me, I s'pose. The male chewed thoughtfully, mulling over what the other had said. He took a sip of his drink to wash down his breakfast, before crumping the paper it had come wrapped in.

"Well, it wasn't that lame, I guess..." Eli said slowly, staring at the other for a few moments before looking away. "But... you could've been more general, I guess. Like... what do you do for fun or something corny like that." He nodded knowingly, biting the inside of his cheek. In actuality, he had barely experienced the whole 'small talk' thing when he was in school... Eli preferred to talk to people about what he had to talk about to be successful, and not about other petty, meaningless things. Though the conversation didn't seem to be getting stuck, so obviously Elijah wasn't butchering it totally, which was a relief.

He reached up and ran his fingers through the dark strands of hair that covered parts of his face. He needed to call somebody to sign him out. However, he couldn't explain it, but he didn't want to interrupt Sam. The elder Searle needed a social life. He hadn't quite been active since his band split.

"Think I could call my sister and her dismiss me via the phone?" he questioned, shrugging his good shoulder, "I think Sam is busy."

Sam widened his Gulf water colored eyes, and shook his head at the boy. "No, of course not. Just thinking, that's all." He offered a smile to reassure him, and noted that Ian had now covered himself up with a shirt. The boy looked at his shirt on the floor, then at his bare chest and back again.

To make it perfectly simple, the brunet did not want to put on his shirt. He liked the feeling of the sun on his back, and merely liked being half naked. And because of this, he drank the rest of the melted popsicle, and tossed it away. The boy scooped up his clothes in his left hand and just held them. Sam wasn't going to put on a shirt unless he felt he needed to, or when he showered next.

Ian couldn't help but feel like something was still bugging Sam. He wanted to know what it was. Just what was that brunet thinking about that made him seem so distressed? The blond stared up at his boyfriend for a moment, now feeling slightly distressed himself.

"You just seem upset," said the blond, "Anything I can do to make you feel better?"

He wasn't sure what exactly he could do, however, he was willing to try. He had finally gotten Sam back today, and there was no way distress was going ruin the day he was having. If he had his way, nothing would ruin today.

Combing through his still damp hair, the boy shook his head. It pleased him to know that Ian was worried about him and all, but he really didn't think there was anything all that wrong. He just had a flash of insecurities, and now they were swept under the mat and forgotten.

"Nope. 'Cause there's nothing to fix." Sam replied, nodding his head slightly.

Ayame shrugged. "Maybe Kyoshi can sign us both out." At that moment, a nurse walked in and was surprised to see them both dressed and moving around a bit. The fact that they were in the same room did not seem to surprise her. Must have been the nurse who found them last night. She smiled at the two, and asked them if there was anything she could do. Ayame asked her if her brother could sign both of them out and the nurse nodded, then left the room to get Ayame's things. Ayame used the hospital phone to call her brother. It took a few rings for him to answer. "Yeah?" "Kyo? It's Ayame. Yeah, I got in an accident which is why I never got back last night. Could you come and sign me and my friend out of the hospital?" A long argument ensued, but soon Kyoshi agreed to hail a taxi and get to the hospital. Ayame smiled and hung up. "He should be here in a little bit."

Sighing, Kyoshi slid his phone back down to the closed position and stood there for a few seconds. His sister had gotten in a car wreck and needed to get signed out of the hospital. Today was just becoming crappy, wasn't it? Walking over to his clothes, he pulled out a pair of blue jeans and a white beater. Stripping off his sleep clothes, he ran a comb angrily through his hair and pulled on his clean clothes as well as a pair of socks and a beat up pair of Chuck Taylor All Star Converse. Putting on his sunglasses, he pocketed his ID, a lighter, and a pack of cigarettes and left the dorm, locking the door behind him. Ian had been pushed back in his mind. He loved the guy, really he did, but family did come first to him. Sticking a cigarette in his mouth, he light it up and sucked in the toxic smoke. He slowly diminished the cig to ashes as he walked toward the street leading away from the college. Just to his luck, there seemed to be a taxi provided by the college. Dropping and scuffing out his cigarette, he hailed it and coughed a few times before sliding in the backseat. "The hospital in town, please."

Ian thought about things for a moment, realizing they had nowhere else to go. He didn't quite care where they went. As long as he was with Sam, he was content, despite how upset he seemed on the outside.

"You know, Sam, I'm still having a great time," stated the blond, grabbing for Sam's hand, "I'm just glad to have you back. Doesn't even matter what we do."

And Ian had meant that. Every single word of it. He didn't care what the pair did, as long as he was with Sam. Swimming hadn't worked out, but he hadn't lost hope yet.

His thoughts had changed quickly, pondering the various places that they could go. He made a mental note to avoid any alleys when it clicked. He let go of Sam's hand and walked behind the taller boy. His dark eyes looked down at Sam's leg. Of course, passerbys had probably gotten the wrong idea. Despite what they thought, he was not looking at Samson's rear-end. He was looking for a "battle scar" Sam had gotten during the tour.

"See you still got the battle scar," Ian said, "You know, I still owe you for that night."

The boy looked down at his scar and replied nonchalantly, "Oh, yeah. Didn't get surgery or anything so it's probably gonna be there forever." The faded purple-red mark was still obvious due to his pale skin. Although the twenty-one year old romped about in the sunshine a lot, he never seemed to tan. The wound had taken time to heal, as well as rehabilitation to get used to using it properly again.

Meeting the eyes of the blond, he continued on, "What do you mean? You're alive, that's payback enough."

Ian found himself surprised at what Sam had said in reply. He opened his mouth to say something, anything that would say how happy hearing that had made him. However, when he did this, nothing came out, and he immediately closed his mouth once more. It was a moment when verbal communication failed the blond. Realizing this, the boy did they only thing he could think of. He grabbed a hold of Sam and hugged him tightly, praying that the hug said what words couldn't for the boy.

Finally, he pulled away from the other male, staring up at him for a moment.

"Let's get out of here. How about the park? The Merrygoround? A strip club?" The blond giggled at places they could go. However, he prayed Sam didn't go for the third option. After all, they were in swim trunks, and Sam had no shirt. A strip club would be a bad idea.

The shorter boy's embrace was tight, and the other knew he was trying to communicate. But just as his words were taken away in front of new people, the other male's words weren't working properly, and the brunet knew that. Samson's cheeks flamed a bright red as he looked away from Ian for a moment. 'A strip club? People giving me lapdances when I'm there with my boyfriend? Doesn't sound like a good idea.' He noticed, and smiled sheepishly.

Shaking his head, he answered, "The park or the merry go round sounds good. The last option, I'm gonna have to pass, Tails."

Ian grinned at Sam, "You know, I'm glad you didn't pick the third one. I don't think I could deal with a bunch of horny strippers trying to feel on my boyfriend."

He allowed his arms to fall back to his side, before linking his fingers once more with Sam's. He decided that he'd lead Sam to the park. Despite being new to the city, Ian had found the park a few days ago while exploring the city. It had been a lovely place that Ian had found to be quite peaceful. Although the park itself was lovely, Ian couldn't help but wonder how amazing it would seem now that he had somebody to share it with. It would be even better seeing as that somebody was Sam.

"Let's head to the park. You've got to see it! It's, like, amazing!"

The bright blond sounded much like a small child filled to the brim with excitement, and he began to drag Sam in the direction of the local park.

Sam couldn't help but stare fondly at the boy. He was almost amazed with Ian's cheerfulness and childlike behavior. The brunet shook his head, grinning and squeezed lightly on the other's hand and allowed himself to be led where ever Ian was taking him. The park sounded good, the Searle was always an outdoorsy kind of person. In fact, this was the reason he had attended Cadi Camp until he was no longer allowed to, then was a counselor for a year. Then he met Red, the band's guitarist, and it all fell into place after that.
