~ { Ivy Rose Robinson... } ~
~ { ...Hedera Helix... } ~
Deciding to head to the library, Ivy entered the building again, coming into a lobby where various people were milling about. It was at this point that she realised that she had no idea where the library was, and so she stood for a moment, looking around. Hopefully (that is, in Ivy's little fantasy world) a random sign would juts pop up out of nowhere, pointing her in the right direction. Unfortunately, no such sign appeared and so she was forced to consider the last resort- ask someone where the damn thing was.
She shuddered internally at the thought. People were just so... complicated. She never could tell what anyone in real life was thinking, and she never knew if they would suddenly turn out to be mean or malicious. it was a real puzzle to work out real people. And that is why Ivy shrank into her books so much. Characters in books were generally more straightforward, and Ivy loved to be able to know what someone in a novel was thinking just from the way the books was written.
And so it was with some trepidation that she attempted to work up the courage to ask someone where the library was. Just as she was about to ask a surly-looking guy over in the corner, another person came walking into the lobby. Or rather, another person came dancing in. She had long, untidy, but relaxed-looking red hair and was grinning around at everyone.
From past experience, Ivy knew that it was normally best to approach someone obviously cheerful and outgoing as opposed to someone silent and grumpy-looking, and so she stopped, thought for a moment and then wandered over to the girl who'd just bounded in.
"Umm... excuse me..." Ivy asked her in a small voice. "But... umm... could you tell me where the library is?"

Oh how I wish for soothing rain,
All I wish is to dream again,
My loving heart, Lost in the dark,
For hope I'd give my everything...
