Do you not see what was being implied? Sure, Renesmee would look mature, but would she be emotionally mature? No; she would not be, because she is clearly lacking in real-world experience.

Of course she is; her parents keep her secluded, but that has abso- lutely nothing to do with her being a bride; see, to be a bride, all one has to do is love the person you're getting married to. Of course, that's the emotional re-quirement; the physical requirement is a really pretty dress. mrgreen

There's more to marriage than simply looking older than your own age and good looks. Renesmee is not emotionally prepared to be Jacob's romantic interest; let alone for a bride. Why? It is because of the fact that even though she ages quick physically, she lacks any real-world experience. Of course there is love in a marriage to work, but it also requires sacrifice. The Twilight series doesn't teach people on how to accept sacrifice; it teaches people to evade it.

Besides, Edward and Bella aren't very good parents. If they are, then why did they not teach Renesmee anything?

Looking older than you actually are is never a good thing,
especially for women, Jacob doesn't look at Renesmee romantically right now, and Edward and Bella are excellent parents who do teach their kid;
they taught her to not drink people's blood, but that of an animal. In conclusion,
I thought we already established the fact that they keep her secluded which really isn't a bad thing, in her case; humans can't know about vampires, therefore, Renesmee can't be seen in public, not until she has to attend school, if they're even gonna send her; Stephanie Meyer never said if they wanted to or not, although I doubt they will; Renesmee is really smart, and doesn't need to.

As for Jacob, he will have that in the future, when Renesmee looks 18.
That is not much. If Edward and Bella are good parents, they should teach her a lot more things in life.
