Distributism is a third-way economic system where the means of production are not in the hands of the state (socialism) nor under the hands of the few large corporations and certain private individuals (capitalism).
If not a corporation or private individuals or the gov, then who produces things? Someone has to own the factories and the delivery trucks and all the materials used.

Instead of being owned by large corporations nor the government, the people own the means of production.
I fail to see how that works.

Distributism holds that property ownership is a fundamental right and that the means of production are not to be centralized under the state nor under big business. Thusly, the means of production should be spread as widely as possible among the general populace. Distributism therefore advocates a society marked by widespread property ownership and, according to co-operative economist Race Mathews, maintains that such a system is key to bringing about a just social order.
That's theory, is there any place that's currently using it though? How does it stand up in practice?

Yes, there is a corporation which practices it.
The MONDRAGON Corporation is a corporation and federation of worker cooperatives based in the Basque region of Spain.

But doesn't that put at least some of the ownership/power in the corporation's hands?

Some, yes. However, most of the power is from the cooperatives and their members. The good thing about cooperatives is that one can join and leave easily.

Going to do some solo research and get back to this, I still don't get how it can work without someone winding up with way more power than everyone else.
It seems like a lot of drama

I understand.

As far as the Twiseries are concerned, the Twiseries is not so much about romance but about one sick woman's plot in being an overnight millionaire.

Why is it that you get my ire up all the freaking time with your condescending little remarks concerning an author I dislike as well? Oh, yeah. It's because you make ridiculous judgment calls you have no business making.

I don't know that she planned on becoming an overnight millionaire so much as she wanted to share her fanfic with the rest of the world.

The way her novels are written tends to tell not so much about her fantasies but about her personality.

You can make assumptions about her personality all day long if you'd like, but in the end they're still assumptions. There are certain things about her that we can ascertain to be true based on her actions as well as things she has said (her arrogance, for one), but as soon as someone starts saying she's "sick" or that she wrote Twilight simply because she wanted to be "an overnight millionaire" or that she's a bad mother or that she's insane... I get testy. If you really do think you can prove--based on the content of her novels--that she's sick and just wanted to be a millionaire, please do so.

I'd say that the books were very informed by her religion, but there's really not a terrible amount that you can tell about a writer from what they publish. If you could then any number of mystery writers would be in jail for multiple homicide.

You do have a point there. It's just that, I got a very bad impression from reading two disgusting fanfics recently. D: It relates to SMeyer since her Twiseries was rather bad.

Yes, I could. The way her novel was written indicates her personality. She wrote that as a wish-fulfillment for teenage girls. Books like that sell a lot. The writing style is not of a good quality since there are plenty of idiotic plotholes (with Renesmee being the worse), the main characters are lacking in depth (Bella is the worst offender) and the fact that she used pseudoscience just to break her canon. Good grief, I am more likely to see such problems in really bad fanfics than in a book. Also, she is very arrogant and annoying.

Also, sorry that I went there. Good grief, who knew that reading two really disgusting fanfics can scar me worse than the Twiseries? Sadly, those fanfics are not trollfics. D:
