I love Twilight, period. Are the people who hate Twilight Harry Potter fans or something? Just because the Harry Potter movie release date was switched with Twilight? What happened to "the most anticipated movie of the year"? Does that mean nothing? At school everyone always talks about Twilight. My mom works at an elementary school and there are little kids with Twilight apperal. They've seen the movie bunches of times. That just totally pisses me off that people think that movies suck and that's final. That's just... stupid and idiotic. Sure some people don't like Edward. It dosen't make a difference. Some people, like me, are Jasper fans, or Carlisle fans, or any other character. Just stop saying "Oh, Twilight totally sucks." It really pisses people off.

I think there's definitely a lot of negativity surrounding twilight, and not all of it is unwarranted. It's not a perfect book by anyone's standards, but hey, neither are a lot of other books. Generally, I find that the criticism is mostly caused by the excessive fangirl-ism surrounding it. It's seen as the "cool" thing to do to be against it now, even if one hasn't read it.

Personally, I'd recommend people to actually read the book, and to state reasons why they dislike it, if they still do. Just saying TWILIGHT SUCKS in big red font does nothing for the conversation, and makes you look like an idiot. And hey, you might actually like it. If its this popular, don't you think it became this way for a reason?

Though the movie does suck. And this comes from a person who likes the book. The acting was horrible, and the plots were choppy.

My opinion is the books are always better.I just think the whole idea is dumb. Vampires have existed far beyond Mrs. Meyer's books started seeping though the woodwork. The whole idea that these 12-15-19-what ever aged female fan base are foaming at the mouth over something that's been around forever. It takes one mother to write one book,and then people notice the obvious? I guess I'm disappointed in the teenagers I hang around.
There's also the point on how the teenagers see the male character Edward to be sort of role model for a good boyfriend..or lover. That's scares the **** out of me. you want a nocturnal undead stalker to to show you the morals for a good companion?

Twilight...oh God...I can't say I've read the books or have seen the movie. But the whole hype about this is getting on my nerves. It's not that big a deal..and these creatures aren't fit to be called vampires. They are just overly glittered pretty boys! That is all...

I for one have read the book and have yet to see the movie (I'm going to rent it when it comes out) I'm not a huge twilight fans that just go "OMFG I LOVE LOVE LOVE EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and and stuffs I'm more of like "Yeah I've read it its pretty good =w=" But i like it. The only thing that made me be like o_o; was the whole big deal of the movie posters are fine, pins are fine, heck shirts are fine too, but ACTION FIGURES?!??! Come on! Seriously thats what turns people into haters even if they never read the book nor seen the movie see it more as some idiotic book thats doing alot of cheesy advertising the candy alone hits the borderline of going too far but thats just crazy -_-;
