Welcome to Gaia! ::

It's a gang sign is what I mean. She did it in the anime but I couldn't find a screenshot. I was hoping it meant something relating to psychics in Japanese culture, considering the topic of discussion.

And again, reminding you I only know because my mom works in corrections so.... Yeah.
(And yes, I made this topic with the intent to make this less uncomfortable for me.)

Another question: How did everyone get out of maze castle if all the exits were blocked? I mean Kurama and Hiei would have to drag Yusuke and Kuwabara down a ridiculous amount of feet and then go back up to return to the portal to the Human World. Assuming there's only one exit.

Oh. Given that context, though...it's actually even more likely that the sign doesn't mean anything.

As for escaping Maze Castle, I don't think either Kurama or Hiei would've had that much trouble dragging Yusuke and Kuwabara along. And if they could do that, they could feasibly return to the portal. Maze Castle wouldn't have posed much of a challenge for them without any enemies roaming around.

I understand where you are coming from Yurisenpai :3 but at the same time I wouldn't look too deep into Botan's hand gestures. If the gesture you saw truly is a gang sign of some kind it could very easily have been put there unknowingly. As I said before as an artist, when I draw, I draw what looks appealing. I could see someone drawing Botan for the anime and moving her hand in that position because it looked comical or the position set off a style or flair to accent the scene/moment.

That or sure perhaps it is a known gang sign in Japan and an animator thought it would be funny to add it in as a joke. Either way, whatever the reason, I really wouldn't worry too much about it. In fact, I will be honest, now I am imaging Botan as a gangster and that just makes me giggle. I can see her wearing a pink beanie and an oversized pink and purple hoodie with Hello Kitty glasses. ...I may have to doodle this now. xD <3

As for maze castle, that is a good question. I never thought of that before! Knowing Hiei and Kurama though, it would be all too easy for them to get through the castle. Hiei's a thief and Kurama was a spirit fox who specialized in codes and thievery and such so...I think breaking out of the castle would have been a cake walk for the two of them. ;3 I wish that scene had been in the show! cool
So I finally finished the amazing yu yu hakusho series, and is it me or does everything end super abruptly with a cliche ending to top it off?

It's not just you. Though the anime ending is much more abrupt than the manga ending - maybe you'll like the manga ending more?

Anyway, cliché as the ending may be, I'm glad it ended that way. It wrapped up the cycle of the series very nicely and emphasized Yusuke's growth as a character. Just compare the violent mood of the opening scene of the first episode to this peaceful sunset scene and you'll see what I mean.
I recall seeing the same episode twice but the dialogue was slightly different... for the first episode Yusuke says to Botan "Botan prove to me who you are by telling me your measurements" and when I saw it again Yusuke said this instead "Botan prove to me who you are by telling me your boob size".

It's possible that you saw the edited/TV-safe version of the episode and then saw the uncut one?
I love Yu Yu Hakusho! It's a classic! Yusuke, Kazuma, and Genkai are some of my favorite characters especially Genkai for her sarcastic, cold, and cunning character. biggrin
