Why do anime fans hate Disney so much?

What did they ruin?

Of course they are going to edit Naruto. It is being shown of television. Every show that is aired on tv is edited. Why should Naruto be any different? They are not, however, going to change everything. The rating is going to be PG-V, the same rating it got on Toonami.

Since Naruto was one of your first anime, you don't know what a hack dub is. I used to watch Sailor Moon, Voltron, Speed Racer, and Cardcaptors as a kid. The tv dub of Naruto will be nowhere as near as badly dubbed or edited as they were.

You really want Naruto on AS? They'll treat it like s**t and put it in a death slot.

It would attract MORE Narutards if it was on AS because more people have AS than Disney XD.

i actully saw sailor moon as a kid to whit dub... i was just ignorant then and had yet to understand the beuty of subs and how horrible the dub actully was.
Sailor moon was the first anime i followd weekly. but as i grew up and saw it again the dub was so childish i wanted to cry. then i saw the japanese whit english sub shortly after and man it was diffrent. don`t get me wrong its still very silly but suddenly it didn`t FEEL pathetic to watch it...it didnt bother me when it was sub and the charekters didn`t sound like 8 year olds anymorein their way of speaking. also they had censured and changed genders of charekters to just cuse they feelt the charekter didn`t look ore sounded male i guess.
anyway thats what swayed me into absolute sub never dub mood.and i feel the same about disney. don`t dub them. its better to learn the languish they are speaking and practis your english i think then to dub. cuse i have never ever seen a really good dub.

anyway.. your post got me thinking about it and i wanted to share my opinion about it

Saying that all dubs are bad just because one was bad is like tasting a pear and deciding that because you don't like pears, all fruit is gross. I suggest that you try the Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, and Studio Ghibli dubs. I've also heard that Baccano and Hellsing have good dubs as well.

i just don`t like dubs period. i rather see a french movie on french whit subs then it being dubd, i rather see an english movie in english whit ORE whitout sub then it being dubd and i rather see swedish movies whitout dub aswell. eather you like dub ore you don`t and i dont period.
i just think it sounds awfull.sorry guys but its like that for me.

Ever since I went into art, all my professors tell me to stay away from disney. It use to be good, but then it turned into a kind of preteen cult. originality is frownd upon and its harder than I'll get out to get into the company.
also their plots are falling through. have you seen the tinkerbell movie? it's the classic disney plotline. main character wants to be something diffrent, bad character tricks main character, every one hates main character, main character fixes everything and learns that they can be "themselves." I saw this plotline in betime stories and almost every new disney movie.

They just want money right now. That's all there is to it.

Old Disney is making a comeback. John Lasseter from Pixar is head of Disney animation and is bringing back the old movie format.

Speaking of Pixar they are as strong as ever with movies like Wall-E and Up being instant classics.

Then we have Epic Mickey, an upcoming video game about a forgotten elements of Disney (including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit) with Mickey acting more like he did in the 30s.

I'm disappointed that Epic Mickey will have no voice acting. While I'm sure it will be great the lack of Disney voices will be disappointing.

They are going for the Zelda/Animal Crossing style "Talking" with this game.

I don't have a problem with you disliking dubs and I respect your opinion. Sorry I assumed that you only watched the Sailor Moon dub and decided that you disliked all dubs based on just that. I'm glad you aren't one of the people who think that the only people who like dubs are too lazy or dumb to read subs.

I love old school Disney as well as Disney now. I don't like 2003-2005 animated Disney movies. Brother Bear, Valiant, and Chicken Little were horrible movies. The only reason I watched Chicken Little to the end was because Zach Braff was the voice actor for Chicken Little.I can't wait until The Princess and the Frog comes out. It looks like a great movie and I have high expectations for it.
