Why do anime fans hate Disney so much?

hate disney.. i don`t hate disney at all... the oposite.. i love disney.... sweatdrop well the old movies atleast like alladin and lion king an so on....

but if we are talking dub...then i hate them all... ALL dubs are evil and should not be made.. the original works much better all you need is a sub of the anime anyway .... 3nodding

An uncut well translated dub is not evil and since 90% of dubs are uncut and well translated they are not evil. Oh and most subs can't be trusted. I trust a Viz or FUNimation Dub much more then I trust a fan sub groups Subtitles. For one thing fansubbers don't have access to the original script or even permission to translate the show so their translation is iffy at best. While an offical translation is given permission by the Japanese, they have access to the original script and the people who worked on it. Not to mention that all decent fansubbed end up being hired by the likes of FUNi and viz while only crappy fansubbers like Dattebayo remain to fill anime with none existent curse words.

Second Hanna Montana and HSM are why I hate Disney Channel however Disney Channel is not a representation of Disney as a whole never was, and NEVER will be.

As for saying Disney should always be Cartoons only thats wrong as Disney has always been about Live action as well as cartoons. Disneys first creations (Even before Mickey) were the Alice Comedies, lice action/animation hybreds with an Alice in Wonderland twist.

And Disney has as many classic Live action movies as they have classic animated movies. Mary Poppins, The original Freaky Friday and Parent Trap (But not the remakes) the original Escape to Witch Mountin, and even more recent ones like Enchanted.

While I prefer anime, that doesn't mean I won't watch a good Disney movie. The Lion King for instance is one of my most favorite Disney movie.

First they took the brodcsting right of Naruto and yes I know that has been said at least two times already but I wanted to point that out again...anyways i don't hate disney in fact I like some of the show that air on disney...but I don't like some of the star like Miley Cyrus/Honnah Montana. I am also a anime Fan...and I personally think that they really are going to brodacast Naruto on Disney Channel, Why you mnight ask...one it might be too violent for some of the younger veiwers...

i have never seen a good dub unless its was for disney movies and they have strickt rules on who get to dub them.(but even disney is better as sub)
if they would show the subbed shows instead of the dubbed ones on tv i would watch them as much as i could no matter who is behinde it as long as it was done well and as close to the original as possible. sens i do read the mangas aswell in bpth englisha and swedish and they do say the same lines just in diffrent Languages. anyway just didn`t want any missunderstandings on that point. there are good fan subbers out there.. and could i get my hands on the dvd`s of the official subs i gladly rather get them. but till then i watch fan subs. and refuse dubs. and i would love to see more ppl enjoy them like that, but everyones free to not do so.

and i would like to add that the cartoon classics of disney still way better then any of the movies/tv shows they done.(even though they occasionly make good ones,like POC....)so please don`t start flaming up at me for me having an oppinion about that...its just that MY opinion..

{{Alright, so you didn't want Naruto to be on TV? CN didn't want Naruto and XD was a perfect fit for it. Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are just on DISNEY CHANNEL. No, They are NOT showing Naruto on Disney Channel because that channel is target pre-teens and teenagers (also has a block for little kids). XD is trying to target boys 6-16 or 18. {{HSM and HM are only on DISNEY CHANNEL. Theres also Playhouse Disney and Disney XD. They have no HSM or HM execpt for the commerchels which then you can just swich the channel. }}

Hey now- I like anime as much as many do; but my hatred for Disney has nothing to do with my love of anime - it has to do with their butchering the classic fairy tales and making them into mockeries of what they originally were.

What about their dubbing is crappy. I have seen every Studio Ghibli movie they have dubbed and to me those are the best dubs I have ever seen. There is nothing crappy about them. While I know people have different opinions and not everyone has to like them I would like to know WHY you think they are badly done and crappy. Honestly I don't see it.

Really I know what a bad Miyazaki dub is like, it's called Warriors of the wind.

Well JInnaiRage I know some people have good reasons for hating dubs and sorry for my Dattebayo hate. They IMO are the worst sub group out there and not just because of their lack of quality but their trollish attitude. I tend to let them fuel by hatred for fansubs as a whole.

Anyway I prefer dubs for two reasons. First English is my first language and i want to watch things I understand, there for I want to watch things in English. It's that simple. Second I hate the very idea of reading TV. I read, I read a lot. I read about a novel a week sometimes two a week depending on the author. The way I see it books and comics are meant to be read while Tv shows are meant to be listened to. Reading Tv to me makes as much sense as listening to a book on tape and I would never listen to a book on tape.

Really as long as the script is well translated, there are no pointless changes, the voice actors are competent and it's uncut I prefer the dub over the sub. But I will watch both for reference reasons.Also if the show is released in America edited only or if the voices just plain suck I will watch the sub.
