What happened Yu-Gi-Oh!?

Ive been watching yu-gi-oh since the first episode showed. I sometimes have ridiculously big arguements about it. Has anyone even noticed how less people watch it. The first yu-gi-oh was the best but as soon as they changed it some kids stopped watching it. What im trying to ask is do you think yu-gi-oh will go on?

Eh, Yugioh is what it always has been. A series that turns a card game into a life or death struggle.... all in all though, I still like it!

I stopped watching after the first Series like a fair but of people, Although I get the feeling Yu-Gi-Oh will be like Poke'mon and Digimon and continue to last for quite sometime for the younger generation mostly. Although I do love the fact that the Video games are still quite popular I love Poke'mon and Yu-Gi-Oh games as for Digimon I think they could've done better.

Yu Gi Oh started going down hill the moment the manga started focusing exclusively on the card game. When it was about gaming in general was when it was at it's best. Too bad there is no decent anime adaptation of that part of Yu Gi Oh. Only series zero which is not worth watching.

I personally like Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, but if it happens to go farther then that, then I'll give it a chance.

I find myself wondering exactly the same thing. Yu-Gi-Oh was a childhood favorite of mine, and it has always been one of my favorite things in the world. I loved the original characters, the original plot line, the original card game itself. But now, it's not even really a card game anymore. Ever since 5D's began, the show has just gone down the hill. And now they're even changing the cards themselves and changing the rules. I miss the original concept of the show.

GX? Terrible
5Ds? Good! On par with, if not better than, Original!
Zexal? Terrible. As someone once put it "It's the retarded cousin that no one ever speaks of"

The original creator of Yu-Gi-Oh wanted it to end with 5Ds but the producers of the anime and such decided to go ahead and make another one without his say so.
