Need help finding decent Anime

Hi there. I've watched some anime and I love it. What I'm after is something like Samurai Champloo or Berserk(reallllly love that one), a gritty and violent or just not that children friendly series. I could specify more if you don't get what I mean so go ahead and ask if you want!

I dont know about the Anime's you like, but Elfen lied and Highschool of the dead are both not child friendly.
If your into that gritty violent stuff -- some stuff in Elfen lied SERIOUSLY made me shudder, cringe and flinch razz
Lots of violence in HOTD too, especially if your into the whole killing zombies scene (Y)

Thanks for the tipses! I'll check them out. It's not just the violent stuff I like but the genuinely good stuff also that's just not too ridiculous. With great characters, intelligent plot and superb visuals. mrgreen (Cowboy Bebop is amazing too)
