Kurama From YYH: Possibly a homosexual?

Okay, first off, my opinion is that Kurama indeed is gay. neutral why? Because of Togashi Yoshihiro.

I've been his fan for nearly four years already, so of course I've also read his other works, which leads to that how I know a bit more of his way of thinking than those fans who have only seen YYH-anime.

Just so that everyone knows, Togashi-sensei is very, very supportive when it comes to homosexuals and he openly gives them space in his series. Maybe he doesn't show it always right away, but he likes to give hints. If you've ever seen/read Hunter x Hunter, you know what I mean when I say "KilluaxGon/LeorioxKurapika/HisokaxGon is canon" - because they are. And know what? Togashi-sensei stands behind them all. He never has even tried to say anything against the people who pair up his characters like that; it has probably never been asked from him wether they're all really gay or not, but I doubt he would even try to say anything about it if someone asked him; maybe he would answer with the same "it's in the minds of fans". He has his reasons for not pairing them officially with any female, it seems -- but back to the topic, Kurama.

He gives hints. He gives lots of hints -- and I think they're all given on purpose. It's not Togashi's style to make his characters go all lovey-dovey with each other, he seems to be trying to stay away from even saying things like "I love you", which means that he doesn't really want to make any pairings official in his series, let it be hetero or homosexual. He can make Gon and Killua talk about that how they like each other under the stars and do other "romantic" stuff like that, but I doubt he'll never make any of his characters seriously confess their love to anyone; that also goes for Kurama.

In my opinion mere forced partnership isn't enough for Kurama and Hiei to stand each other for so long, it's most likely something 'deeper' -- but like I already mentioned, Togashi-sensei doesn't want to make a big fuss about things like that, so whatever their relationship is, it's deeper than normal partnership but also quiet kind of relationship as they don't need to talk about it. I don't see Hiei or Kurama as romantic persons, neither of them. Even if Kurama is feminine kind of gayish, to me he still strikes as one of those who find just sitting next to each other romantic enough for him to enjoy - he doesn't need love songs or "I LOVE YOU!!"-yells, just knowing that the other one is there is enough for him. So, they can be canon "behind the scenes", kind of, they know about the feelings they have towards each other so they don't need to talk about it anymore.

So, to sum this blabbingpost up: Hiei x Kurama, at least in my biased fangirlmind, is canon in Togashi-sensei's hinthint-way. Always remember that even if he didn't say it straight out, he also didn't deny it. Kurama is gay.

Kurama is not gay, but I do enjoy Hiei/Kurama yaoi.

If I owned the manga or anime. You would most likely see more of them together and doing... stuff. ninja

But yeah, Kurama nor anyone in the cartoon is really gay.. unless the creator comes out and says it straight out to all of us, "Yeah, Kurama's gay!!"

Until then.. I still dream on and write fictions.

Alright: For the record Yoshihiro Togashi, when asked about Hiei/Kurama's relationship said "It was up to the fans".

Now, No matter what I say, Kurama will not be officially gay.

Here are a few points though:

1)Yoko Kurama and Kuronue traveled together for YEARS stealing things. Years and years and years. alone. Together. But that's not all. Notice that YEARS after Kuronue is gone Kurama is still grieving? Friendship is one option, then there's...something for.

2)His hair. Ok, Kurama had one girlfriend when he was 14. He had short hair back then. After he and his girlfriend broke up (for mysterious reasons) he grew out his hair. The boy's hair is as long as his but. Come on!

3)Flowers. The man fights with flowers. Seriously guys, that's a tad queer.

4)The OFFICAL art.

Notice that in these first 4 (and I have more I didn't post) Him and Hiei are touching, almost touching and other rather suggestive things.
