Part of me wants it back part of me doesn't

the part that does, is getting sick to DEATH of the dumb a** cartoons that are on TV. I feel like i lose an IQ point every time i see Spongbob or Adventure Time, (sorry to people who like them) I'm one of those people who think, even though Anime is cartoon in Japanese, is different than cartoons here in America. I think the art style is different personally, and thats what makes it different. then again Japan might have similar cartoons that aren't all big eyed and what not.

Cartoons nowadays aren't what they use to. I miss Hey Arnold, Rugrats, the horrible American voice acting in Sailor moon and DBZ. the scary art that was Rocko's mondern life and AHHHH Real monsters. TV in the 90's was the best i think. Courage the Cowardly Dog!

I don't watch much TV & I prefer sitcoms (even if its reruns) or old school cartoons like Pepper-Ann or Doug

They saw that putting Toonami on brought in a large audience and now they'd like to try and milk it for what they can. That's my opinion anyway. As much as I loved toonami, the level of nostalgia in this thread is ******** annoying. Yes, we all get it. You loooved your old shows, and how much they were so different from todays cartoons.(they aren't that different.....) But how hard is it to go on god damn Google, type up whatever show from toonami you want to watch, shut the Hell up and enjoy? You're on the computer pretty damn often, so what's stopping you? The shows are right there. There for your choosing.

At this point I think its a matter of wanting it just for wanting it. I haven't heard much of anything about toonami until April 1st and now that CN dangled it in front of you, you're ready to get hard ons when the s**t was available to you this entire time.

I'd like it to come back, but I'm afraid if it does it won't be the cool Toonami I loved as a kid but a hollow shell of it. Much like it was during its last few years.

They were a little more free to take risks and had plenty of block space to test out.

The Pokemon craze is over, Anime isn't all that exotic to the average viewer anymore.
I doubt they'll bring back hours of it. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Tenchi and s**t scattered throughout boomerang.

I love Toonami and the reason we need it back is because today's tv shows are horrible and stupid, they are poluting the minds of children with their horrible drawing and stupid and greatly lacking plot lines if you could even call it that. I apologize to anyone who actually likes these shows, but i think we need to get back to a world where people actually know what anime is and appreciate it.

I really hope they bring it back and I doubt like u said that its gonna be for hours like when it started. Anime hasnt been as huge in the US since the Pokemon craze in the 90's. I personally would love to see some new anime like Fairy Tail and maybe bring back Naruto and One Peice back to Cartoon Network.

You know, there's anime out there that is..I can't even find words to explain it. There is more anime and manga in the world than we realize - I wish for you to someday find that new or old doesn't matter, but the quality of it. I personally like older anime because of the drawing styles. But alas, I can't change your opinion, I can only broaden your horizons. ^ ^ At least try older anime, you might find it very entertaining.

I don't know too many people that want to watch the kind of anime that is safe for North American TV.

People who praise anime as some sort of masterful art while putting down animation from other countries truly are some of the most ignorant people.
