How old is Ash Ketchum?

This has been bugging me for a while now. Exactly how old is Ash Ketchum as of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Galactic Battles? I know that's he was 10 when he first began his journey back in Kanto and that by the time Ash and his friends had reached Viridian City, a year had passed, which made Ash 11. Also, how old would all of his friends (Misty, Brock, May, Dawn) be as of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Galactic Battles?

OK, I got it! He's most likely between 14 and 15, since his Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn journeys took about a year each and his Orange Island and Battle Frontier journeys took about six months each. (This info comes from a description of an ageing Ash picture that I found on Deviantart; I cannot for the love of me find that picture again! Oh, well.)
