First of all, I refer to the Japanese episodes of Death Note to conclude my opinions.
I've argued with one girl for 20 minutes and finally realized she was talking about the live-action movie.
Anyway, I wanted to know if there were any other L supporters out on Gaia. I'm sure there are, but I never come across them enough.
My opinion on why I support L is this:
L was smarter than Kira and beat him in the end.
It's a common misconception that just because L died, he lost to Kira. But did anything really change when he died? And besides, right before L died, L obviously alluded to his own death. He knew he was gonna die, it was part of his plan. That proves he was smarter than Kira, who never thought he would never die and died in surprise.
The fact of the matter is this:
Kira never got his new world; his goal was not met.
L stopped Kira from continuing his madness; his goal was met.
Now I know there are people who will say, "No, Near really won". Well, Near was L's predecessor and a part of L's plan. Basically, Near is just a product of L, metaphorically. He was a piece in L's game.
