Pokemon Pikachu pet

I remember I got mine when I was about 9 years old, right before the turn of the millennium when Pokemon were at their absolute heyday. I was at a Target with my Dad one day and was browsing the toys that he told me to stay away from, when I saw it, the little pet that would stay on my belt for the next 2 or 3 years. Luckily it was on sale for like half off, so my Dad didn't have much of a problem buying it for me. I went everywhere with it! I woke up with it, literally, it had that chirping alarm clock setting. I'd play the slot game for volts, shake it like crazy for more volts; luckily I had a long walk to school, because I'd get more volts with that as well. I'd check in on it at random times, it'll be eating something, running around, or even driving.

Then, the battery would run out; I'd spend about one or two miserable days without it before one of my parents caved and gave me some change to buy a replacement battery, as soon as the battery was switched the game was back on. I would hardly let anyone else touch it, especially my niece who lived with me and my Mom; at times she was attempt to steal it so she could pretend it was her's to show to her friends at school. Then, I had to let it go; I had held onto it too long already by the time I let it go, other students made fun of me for it; so I put it in a box and forgot about it. Then just recently, at the age of 22, I found it. Memories are still fond and I'm wondering if I should stick a new battery in it and take it for a spin? Did anyone else have a fun toy like I found with my Pokemon Pikachu?

I used to be ADDICTED to tamagotchis. I was the kind of kid to cry for days when one died.

I had an Electronic Pikachu stuffed toy. It was the COOLEST toy, and I treated it like I was alive.
I'm fairly sure I still have him. I'll be sure to dig him out tomorrow, I miss him!

I used to have one of these...had a few of the digimon versions too, y'know...the ones that looked like the devices on the show? Those were they days...listening to the armature inside got click-a click-a click-a as it counted your steps. How much do you think I can pick one of these up for on ebay...I'm feeling oddly nostalgic!

I had a Pokemon Pikachu, too, because I was a big Pokemon freak at the time. I kept losing it, though.

I also used to collect virtual pets back then, so I also had several Nanopets and a Tamagotchi.

I was all about the tamagotchis, nanopets, that pikachu [I had both versions. The yellow and the silver one.]

I used to bring them to school and everyhting because I need to take care of them! legit.

I still have mine lying around somewhere in my room. God I loved that thing. Played with it so much the screen is all scratched to heck and back. XD

I remember the time I lost it for about 24 hours. I was -utely devastated. I had my parents backtrack me everywhere just to find it. I found it the next day sitting in the front yard. Still don't know how it got there or how I ever managed to find it since it was in such an awkward place.

I just played the original Pokemon Pikachu clip over nearly ten times now. Thank you!!! Though I'd get angry anytime the PP2 commercial came on because I was never able to get one, I went to three toy stores with my parents one day when I was a kid, driving them up the wall begging them for it and we never found one. I guess that's what I get for looking for it around the Christmas season.

I was, and still am, a Pokemon addict and I wanted the original Pokemon Pikachu SO BADLY but we could never find one. My dad got me the second one for my birthday when it came out and I still wear it...I'm 19 now. biggrin
