McDonald's Toys!!!

It seems that the McDonald's near me have all just stopped giving out super awesome toys and they only give out weird figures from movies. I miss the good ol' days :b

Not just movies, cartoons and TV in general too. It's the TV series that the Transformer toys are supposed to be for.

I never got many of the toys as a kid but I seem to remember they were always based off popular things at the time (movies, TV, hugely popular toys likes like Sky Dancers and Beanie Babies, etc) , aside from when they made toys for their own McyD characters

In truth, I did when I was a child. I loved the toys that they had and wanted them. I never really cared about the meal.

I did have a collection of McDonald's toys, but during our last or second last move, I don't know where they all magically disappeared to. And of course now my parents refuse to get me McDonald's toys, but oh well.

I still get them on occasion if they are releasing cool stuff like the Pokemon ones a few months back. My latest was the Happy Feet 2 toys at Burger King. I wanted the plush they had, but I got something else instead. Wasn't too happy. xp

I was the master of fast food toys when I was a kid. I was exclusively McDonald's for a bit because their toys were the best, but then Burger King came out with those Pokemon card toys for Pokemon 2000 and I went there. I had SO MANY and then my sister's friend's little brother stole them and I only have a Golduck and Scyther one left. Burger King eventually got better toys than McDonald's...the Lord of the Rings ones were awesome and still on display in my room, their Nintendo ones actually looked good, Hamtaro, Powerpuff Girls, some awesome SpongeBob ones, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon GameBoy things that were very weird...good memories. I think my favourite McDonald's ones were the Disney movie figures that came in a box that looked like the VHS fancy cases. I think you could link those ones up into a train of constant awesomeness.

I've noticed the toys everywhere are really lacking now...Wendy's has always been a failure but last time I went to Burger King they had three or four toys from Hop. Ugh. They used to have the best variety. And McDonald's has some lame Star Wars and I think Hello Kitty ones right now...I miss when kids were catered to. D:

When I was younger I always got the toys, now that I'm an adult I'll still go for the meal and/or toy if it is something that interests me.
