The "too old for toys" deal has held me back from buying a lot of the things I'v wanted. Reading this topic made me feel happy about being 19 and wanting toys smile . I think I will take a trip to walmart and buy that nerf tomahawk that I have been eyeing..

True immaturity is refusing to accept that no human being can be mature in all ways. If one of your ways of being a child is playing with things meant for children, no one should make fun of you for it. Most people are more immature than just collecting dolls, or playing with Transformers, or watching My Little Pony. Collecting dolls is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. If you want to collect them, it's a great hobby! Better than drinking, or beating a loved one, or doing illegal drugs. Treat it as a blessing, not a curse! And if anyone gives you crap for it, forget them. Too old is when you outgrow it or get bored of it, not when you reach a certain age, despite society's popular belief.

In my opnion, toys are there to make people happy- it doesnt matter what age you are, as long as you like it, then there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Some of these things we couldn't have as kids.
So enjoy it now that you can buy it!

I collect Disney dolls, My Little Pony, and just got Ghoulia!

And I'm a nursing assistant (though unemployed because I moved), pay bills, getting married and mature in other matters.

What would make you a bit immature about it is if you buy them over paying the bills/eating.

when it comes to making believe barbie is actually alive there is a cut off at about 4 years old.

when it comes to collecting something, be it anything, there is no limit at all. in fact, the older and more mature the better you'll be able to deal with collecting:3

I'd say the only time you'd be too old for toys would only be if you can't take care of yourself nor have the ability to recognize things or faces anymore. Enjoy being young while you still can!

I'm about 19 and I just bought the toy sword from Adventure Time and have been swinging it about my house. Your never too old to enjoy toys.
