Anyone thinking of customizing their gundam model kits?
I followed the Beginning series (D and J) and thought tat their customs were amazing.
Currently thinking of outfitting my HG 1/144 Beginning D Gundam with parts from the UC era.

The parts itself are pretty epic. stuff range from weaponry you can configure to small details like booster nozzles and beam shot effects.

Do we need to modify the gunplas in order to apply the parts onto them?
I mean, the spikes on HG Zaku is pretty much fixed on it.

Can't tell, I think the spikes were for the MG ones, if I recall.

Oh, I thought you already tried them.
Know any websites with relevant information on these parts?

I have.
I used it to do some shielding for LEDs that I put in a head of a old 1/60 scale model, specifically the Full Armor Gundam. It was thin enough to manipulate through the head so that the lighting wouldn't bleed out of certain areas. It's usually recommended to paint the pla plate though for this kind of mod in a flat black so that it absorbs the lighting.

I've been customizing some models for the past couple years, namely in custom color schemes. Only recently have I been adding LEDs and minor weapon modifications.

How do you use the plates?
Drawing?
Do you use some sort of glue to attach them to the kits?

Modeling glue is adequate, unless you plan on adding more to the plate, then hot glue would be best. The plates themselves come in sheets, so you need to measure how much you need.

How do you draw the plates?
Using pencils or there's another method?
