It's just as bad as the time they put subbed anime on Cartoon Network.

OMG I know I was freaking out when I saw it on tv again! I use to watch Toonami all the freaking time! It has had some of them best anime's on there!! Well at least all the ones I love anyway lol.
But heck yes bring it back! Bring back the good old skool stuff!!

Toonami shouldn't be just a nostalgia block if it comes back. There has to be a nice mixture of old and new shows. Have people check out newer series while waiting for the old classics.

I was fearful of a Toonami Resurrection and for years I believed that if Cartoon Netwoprk brought the block back it would be a shell of it's former self for a channel on it's last legs and about to die. i figured any new Toonami block would result in the fans hating it because it was not the same as the original, that the shows were not as good, or find something wrong with it.

While I still believe that Adult Swim's April Fools joke and the aftermath it left has given me some hope. It shows that a Toonami resurrection can be done right even if for one day. That Adult Swim is even thinking about bringing the block for real is nice.

Though people have to realize that if Adult Swim turns the Saturday Night block into Toonami it will mainly be the same anime they air anyway. Now it will be Adult Swim anime with Toonami bumpers and personality so maybe that's worth it. I mean TOM made Bleach sound interesting and that impressed me. If I did not despise Bleach with every fiber of my being I would watch it due to TOM's episode preview.

I highly doubt we will see classic Toonami shows if it happens (One night is different from getting the rights back completely) Also I really can't see shows like DBZ or Yu Yu Hakasho coming back, too long for one episode a week. Even an hour a week would take too long for DBZ. It's one thing when you do one episode a week with newer shows like Bleach and another with completed shows like DBZ.

I agree with Bushido Star it should be a mix of old and new. Though Tenchi Muyo would be an ideal show to pick up since it has that Toonami nostalgia, lots of material edited when it aired before that could be shown on Adult Swim, and the whole Third OVA that has never aired on basic cable. (Expect for the episode that aired Saturday Night)

Though really why not rebrand Saturday AS as Toonami? It would be nice to give that part of AS a separate personality from the rest of the block.
