So this is a bit of a silly question...

I am a smoker and I roll my own cigarettes. I use Criss-Cross brand pipe tobacco (menthol and smooth blend mixed) and Premier brand filters. I have heard that pipe tobacco is less harmful than sheet tobacco or the cigarettes you buy in the store.

I have a couple of questions:
one. Is it true that pipe tobacco is better for you than others?
two. Would it be healthier to switch from cigarettes to a pipe?
finally. Are electronic cigarettes harmful for the smoker? I know they're widely accepted in public places as there's no second-hand smoke, but what about the consumers themselves?

Ya know I saw a stand of those things @ the Outlet Mall here in Vegas a few weeks back and the guy running the little shack said 'you get the same benefits'.

I dont know if he meant getting the same benefits regarding the tabacco taste or whatever but when you put that together to me, hes basically saying its not a cig but its a cig...(its of course not a real cig, but you get the same benefits from it so you might as well call it a real cig.)

lol....So with that being said If its like a cig its just as dangerious as a cig. I'm no rocket scientist nor a smoker but tabacco period is bad for you right? ._. or is it not?

But thats just my opinion...I'm a minor anyways so I wouldnt know any better. sweatdrop

Tobacco itself isn't dangerous, if it's just the plant; however, it's how its processed that makes it dangerous. Like how pure cannabis is choc full of THC, the agent within it that gets you high? Tobacco isn't like that, it's the nicotine that's added to it.

I'm mostly concerned with the carcinogens a cigarette has in it.

But I appreciate the response, nonetheless. I'll probably pick up an electronic cigarette when I can spare the money.

pipe is better than ciggaretes, less chemicals, and electric is basically jujst pure nicotine, so its more adictive but less harmful than either of the others, but either way, in the end, none of them are good for you ._.

Electronic Cigarettes Are Carcinogen-Free. Nicotine will never be healthy.. no matter how you look at it. However, using Electronic Cigarettes could save you from cancer.

From what I know, (and I have seen people use e-cigarettes before) when you use an electronic cigarette, you are just inhaling water vapor infused with pure nicotine. While yes, you would get the same effects of smoking, because you are getting the drug nicotine, you will remain addicted.

Personally, I would just recommend trying to quit altogether... but I understand how difficult it is to quit an addiction. Good luck!

I can't compare the rush. I didn't smoke an e-cig very much. I would imagine that the nicotine rush is the same, but regular cigarettes contain much more than nicotine. I would imagine that means that it would feel different too.

When I used an e-cig it was not like smoking a regular cigarette. The sensations of the action are off. It feels different in the mouth, in the hand. There is no fire. There is no burn. There is no black smoke charring up the lungs and throat.
