Introduction

Welcome to Forever Porcelain the place you can come when you need help with the health of your skin! Take a seat in my chair. Tell me your concerns and I will try and give you a solution to them.

First allow me to give you my mission statement and the purpose of this thread. While clicking the logo above does lead to my Blog where I take all the training I have been through and share it, it is here that you can ask your questions and talk more in depth about it all. The blog does go through skin care, makeup reviews, tutorials and such. It is my belief that one shouldn't even think about makeup without first having skin knowledge. Why? Because makeup should never be used to cover up your skin issues. Makeup should be used to enhance what you have. Surely you don't want to enhance your troubles right?

Some might think me crazy for giving away lots of tips, truths, tricks, share the things I went to school for, for free. Maybe. However, my goal is to help people. It is my mission to educate people on a subject that I happen to be passionate about. I don't think a lot of people truly understand just how bad, how deep the effects of one's skin can cause. There isn't anything, any road in life you have to walk alone. I am going to prove it by starting here.

About Me

What can I say? I wish I could start off my telling you that I have years upon years in the skin care industry...but I cannot. Not yet anyways. Learning about the skin, and having the opportunity to learn about various products both commercial and spa grade, has been my greatest draw for inspiration. I think the skin is an amazing organ. Even in my younger years I always wondered: How could something so thin, delicate, truly protect all of our vitals!?
I am a certified skin care specialist/esthetician with about 4 years experience. 2 years applied and 2 years non-applied. I also love makeup! But what is makeup without decent skin? In time I hope to cover it all.

About The Name

To sum it up nice and short the name Forever Porcelain is like saying: I am forever delicate because I am human, because I have feelings, because no matter what anyone says or thinks; on the inside I am soft. I can break. And above all...it's all okay. It may seem hoaky to some but for me it is what it is. My truth.

Where Do We Start

The skin, skin care is a HUGE topic to cover no? Where would/should we even begin!? It's madness, truly. No worries. Leave it to me! The first place I started in my blog is the first place I will start here. That is to give you a foreword...just in case you missed it on my blog page! n_n
In fact I am going to pull exactly what I said there over to here.

Oni

Some of you might be asking: So why would you give away such information? That is because skin care doesn't stop after seeing an esthetician. It is and should be, a part of your every day lives. There are things that you could be doing right now to help improve your skin! For those of you who love make up, well there's no better canvas than a clear one right?

IMPORTANT - Before I share with you some knowledge, I want to make it perfectly clear:
Take what you want of the information given to you that feels right for YOU and leave the rest. What this means is that you might not agree with everything I say. Maybe you have your own belief of truth of how things are and that is okay. You are all free to always believe what you want. I am simply sharing with you my knowledge. For free. So please, be courteous of that fact. I encourage each and every one of you to head on out, do research for yourself! Never take just ONE person's word for it. Make sure all websites are credible. ( wikipedia doesn't count ) ALWAYS follow what rings true in your heart. Do what you think is right for YOU.

Past, Present, Future

This particular section is where I am going to post the topics I have covered individually. Blogs (especially the more time passes on) can be hard for some to filter through. Now, you don't have to bother. I will do it for you. All the links here are for your own personal quick reference. It is especially easier for you to ask your questions regarding a particular topic and also for me for my own reference. So read away, stay and ask question, chat it up.

Keep in mind: I am here to help you the best I can. I do not know everything and I don't claim to. In no way shape or form does this thread, my blog, suggest that I think I am right, know it all. I aim to lend the information and personal knowledge that I have collected over my years of study. Nothing more. So please, be respectful to both myself and to the others in this thread who feel they have something to share or contribute to this topic. I do not want to have to report or ban anyone from a thread that was meant to help people. That would be just sad to have to do.

So what have I covered thus far? Well...a lot actually. I try to make a new post once every 1-2 weeks depending on how busy my life gets. So, here is a listing in order of the topics covered.
